Saw him live in Toronto late Feb 2020. I am not sure he knows how good he is ! God bless him. I would definitely pay to see him in an arena and even more in an intimate setting like a blues bar!
For anyone skipping Paul Schaffer's introduction, that is the tremendous Will Calhoun and Doug Wimbish of Living Colour on drums and bass respectively.
I would love to see Stevie Ray Vaughan play with kingfish. This would have been really amazing to see this. Stevie Ray Vaughan was the best blues guitar player I’ve ever seen in my life.
At 6:33 Joe is adjusting his Klon Centaur pedal. I would like to point out that the pedal is probably worth more than Mr Kingfish's entire set-up. Point being.. Y'all don't need expensive gear to sound amazing
I love that Mr. Shaffer has supported over many years (my favorite band since 87) living colour & appreciate his doing so for another favorite, Kingfish. My sincerest gratitude to Mr. Paul Shaffer
The whole performance was great. Joe B is my favorite of the soloists. His smooth tasty feel is Incredible. "Kingfish" sounds great too! Love the wah' action. Blues at its best right here.
If Robin Trower was as young as they are and was up on stage he would be doing things that would be very difficult to copy , there's more to the blues then just 12 bars .
Much respect to all of these fine guitarists, playing so well with each other and not stepping on each other's toes. Kingfish is earning his moniker. Doug and Will are beasts but they stayed in the pocket and let everyone else shine! Excellent performance!
Great cruise .... then Covid ---- Hoping it gets safe ASAP so I can cruise with Joe Bonamassa and the other great acts. Kingfish was very humble and a delight to meet ! When he walked the ship... playing the blues ... yes, he stole it from Buddy Guy -- who did the same !
What a phenomenal lineup. As a blues fan for decades this is a stellar performance & the ONLY way I'd ever go on a cruise. Someday I'll get to do Joe's Blues Cruise & hopefully the phenomenal Beth Hart will be among those performing too.
GREAT CRUISE TOLD KINGFISH --- HE WILL BE A SUPERSTAR ... AS I TOLD JOE BONAMASSA ... SOME 15 YEARS AGO -- ALSO LOOK OUT FOR ERIC STECKEL, ALBERT CUMMINGS JUST TO NAME TWO .... KINGFISH THEN TOOK 7 OF 7 BLUES AWARDS !!
Blues fest this weekend in San Diego. I'll be happy to see Kingfish fo sho... although every year I keep saying, why don't they ever have Joe Bonamassa at this fest??? Man.. these artists right here all together would be a treat
Why is there so much made of who is better I like Joes music and Kingfishes music they are both great guitarists and play well together their styles are different and its what makes them great. Long may it continue.
@@fr7399 don’t be so sure of anything my friend... as I said I could be wrong! But I’ve watched him play with the great jimmy Vaughn and he basically got shown up and relied on his singing voice and hexatonic scale which is simple blues 101
I think we all agree what a great picker and bluesman the Kingfish is. Also, you'll notice, he has short thick fingers - as do I. That makes learning the instrument even more difficult. He is amazing.
Joe is good? Can someone tell us how many other joes are as good or come close to be as good. I am not a guitar player but if it counts joe makes the others sound good to show the class he is in. The one player i have seen live in melbourne at the dallas brooks hall was rory the irish legent. He played with pride. He left the world with his irish pride. Now can someone help me. I have seen jeff beck live erick clapton richy blackmore at sunbury ac dc the eagles carlos santana all good but the legents James marshal.Yes. he will fit right in. Thats 3. Help me with more names please. Respectfully to all.
I love how these great players get together and have fun ! Some people think tha "Purple man" was the greatest since sliced bread but he never got in the ring with cats like these guitarist !
Kingfish is on a SRV level. I've been playing for some time and yes he is that good. Just look at Joe watching him play in amazement. Not saying he beats anyone but he has un matched potential in this day and age of rock and blues amongst younger artists. His new signature Telecaster is awesome.
In terms to Colour and maturity, I really dig Josh Smith, he is not loud but has the Blues "Blabber", technically the most sound amongst the lot by a fair margin to be honest.
I can't help but notice this. You could hear 4 bars by Jimi Hendrix, or Jimmy Page, or Eric Clapton, or Jeff Beck, or any number of others Steve Miller, Dave Mason, etc, and you knew it was them... they each had their own style and their own sound. If I didn't look closely at this, I couldn't tell which one of them was playing. Just an observation.
Oh my word: Kingfish has fully arrived! It was just a matter of time; now he's up on that first shelf, at least with his guitar playing. In the past, his singing was his big detriment. But he may slam into that, also. (A few singing lessons would save him years of struggling and us, his audience, from having to endure second-rate vocals, at best. But blues singers, the menfolk anyway, weren't great vocalists.)
When you hear the name "Kingfish", you know you are in for a treat.
Yeah
No bullshit, mark my words. Kingfish WILL be filling arenas.. Mark em!!!
Saw him live in Toronto late Feb 2020. I am not sure he knows how good he is ! God bless him. I would definitely pay to see him in an arena and even more in an intimate setting like a blues bar!
FUCK I hope so.
Tired of hearing the Ed's & The Ellish's on the radio.
@@sanjayjain310 yes, he is an extremely humble and has a kind energy. But when he starts playing the axe, the alter ego come out.
my boy Kingfish finally looked young next to Joe, but man, nobody can out-age that soulful voice. they're each a blues savage in their own right.
Man, you got to take a solo WAY before those guys play. Way Before!
Marcus King would've been great to
Yes kids good just seen him open in Spartanburg SC for Buddy Guy
both joe and kingfish are amazing, every lick that comes out of them is satisfaction
Joe is good, but............ Kingfish will be the new legend
Thats laughable
@Omari Kameron shut up
I love Kingfish, but he's not Joe. both are great musicians it's not a competetion, Joe just nails everything, prob because of experience.
Joe Bonamassa is King oc da Blooz
Joe is master, Kingfish is student.
For anyone skipping Paul Schaffer's introduction, that is the tremendous Will Calhoun and Doug Wimbish of Living Colour on drums and bass respectively.
Paul's brothers .Living Colour lays down the sickest grooves ever, and their breakdowns are like no other.
That reminds me
What about Vernon Reid from living color. Damn good guitarist
Hell yeah it is
I definitely think Kingfish is the best on that stage
Absolutely.
On god
Not yet. He will be
Joe b.. no question.. very obvious
I found a new sound.
Watching kingfish and joe is like when jeff healey and srv jammed. I think we just witnessed something great
I would love to see Stevie Ray Vaughan play with kingfish. This would have been really amazing to see this. Stevie Ray Vaughan was the best blues guitar player I’ve ever seen in my life.
Nope! You witnessed something ok
At 6:33 Joe is adjusting his Klon Centaur pedal. I would like to point out that the pedal is probably worth more than Mr Kingfish's entire set-up. Point being.. Y'all don't need expensive gear to sound amazing
Facts
Joe's guitar is probably worth more than all of their gear put together.
@@avgjoegeek71 Y'all can have all the gear in the world but you can't buy soul...
@@simonvanderheijden432 So true Simon. 🌟
If I played guitar with Joe's gear, I would sound really bad - lousy.
Kingfish, Joe B, and Josh Smith? Wow!! Way too much talent on one stage! 🙇
Let be honest, Kingfish nailed it dude!!!
I love that Mr. Shaffer has supported over many years (my favorite band since 87) living colour & appreciate his doing so for another favorite, Kingfish. My sincerest gratitude to Mr. Paul Shaffer
Kingfish has something I can't put my finger on but he is absolutely amazing ... :)
It’s his power…he can really dig into the strings and bend with such ease
Lordy lngramsallroundthisworldhearwhatyourpunlnoutklmgfish
I just recently discovered Kingfish Ingram and he has a new fan and follower. "let the good times roll!'
The whole performance was great. Joe B is my favorite of the soloists. His smooth tasty feel is Incredible. "Kingfish" sounds great too! Love the wah' action. Blues at its best right here.

I told Joe Bonawho.... at the time... that he was next big thing in the blues ! One down --- one to go ... KINGFISH 21 and amazing !
Much respect to all of these fine guitarists, playing so well with each other and not stepping on each other's toes. Kingfish is earning his moniker.

It was a blast!
throw in Eric gales, Phil Sayce, Marcus King we are blessed with all these cats... not to mention the latest Quinn Sullivan.... we set and Im older.
Quinn--Buddy's protege--saw him play several years ago. Great talent.
What a phenomenal lineup. As a blues fan for decades this is a stellar performance & the ONLY way I'd ever go on a cruise. Someday I'll get to do Joe's Blues Cruise & hopefully the phenomenal Beth Hart will be among those performing too.

Sweet! I need to go on one of these cruises.
Proud to say Bonamassa is from my home town...He's always entertaining and such a great talent. Those other guys sound good , too. Nice job , guys !

Allstar jam band. Wish I was there.
They all sound great.
Both Joe and Kingfisher are awesome Blues Men!!! Enjoy them both why doncha!!! 👍
Joe B is still the best!! Very very tasteful selections in his solos!!
cant believe im just seeing this in 23. Excellent line up, sweet blues!
Now he needs to do a collaboration with Gary Clark Jr.
Great idea!
I love Gary Clark junior but I don’t think he’s quite on that level of guitar skills but I could be wrong
@@kirobeanski1 Gary Clark Jr is an amazing guitarist...he and Christone would make an amazing collab if they did...

Kingfish what a talent love from England 🏴.
Kingfish representing my home town Clarksdale,Ms.and
No doubt can tear it up with the best!! Keep it up Christone!! We love you!
Best cruise of my life! Looking forward to February 2022!!!
See you there!!!!
I'd give anything to see Kingfish and Angus Young jam for a few tunes.
I think we all agree what a great picker and bluesman the Kingfish is. Also, you'll notice, he has short thick fingers - as do I. That makes learning the instrument even more difficult. He is amazing.
makes for a fat tone. it all matters
LOVE JAM SESSIONS LIKE THIS ... OH YEAH!
I like Mr. Christone Ingram, now that the blues classics that man can play the guitar.
Even joe bonamasas hat is bluesrock!
paul shaffer is an icon. a huge talent . an imposible act to follow
The new king. Kingfish is awesome. 🔥🙌🏼
I am hearing the greatest vocalists ever...I would have loved to have been at his concert...AMAZING..😎

Kingfish’s voice. So sweet…
Love that Joe Bonamassa came out in a Joe Satriani disquise, perfect! What a band!
I would donate part of my anatomy to have a jam with those great players !
What a legend with the kingfish
The Blues is Alive!
SRV and Albert King
JB and Christone Kingfish Ingram
You had me at "Living Colour..."
They are all good but Josh Smith is the best six stringer right now.
Kingfish just blows me away.
Man that dudes gonna carry the blues forward for the world.Josh Smith ain't bad either.
In my lifetime, to see a young BB King ...
I'm a Berklee alumni, known and played with the best, ...
Kingfish man, that's the sh**
❤❤❤

And he was just 21y.o at the time. Such a powerhouse.
Ingram just out shredded all of the other guitarists combined, wow.
Kingfish held back he blows bonamasa away all day long!
awesome on multiple levels
Awesome 👏
I like how Paul has to play conductor! Lmao! Kingfish is the man!!!!
The best Kingfish nailed it 👌
Kingfish guy will have to work like Joe to be the legend everyone wants. JB
works his butt off and has a solid business plan, always touring.
Kingfish is the best!!!!!!
Joe has the best tone imo . That les Paul is sick.
Kingfish’s Les Paul is gorgeous
What the hell just happened, the dark clouds broke and the SUN came through!!!!! Kingfish!!!!!!!!!!
At around 6:40 Kingfish let us know he's a Travelling Man.
Kingfish is the show
AMONG THE FEW BANDS THAT I DIDN'T KNOW ON THE CRUISE ...LOVED KINGFISH, JOSH SMITH AND JARED JAMES NICHOLS THE MOST
Amen to that! Check out Alley Venable's new album, it rocks!
In terms to Colour and maturity, I really dig Josh Smith, he is not loud but has the Blues "Blabber", technically the most sound amongst the lot by a fair margin to be honest.
Joe is in a class of his own josh is a blues monster 👹 too
Why is Shaeffer doing a Dr. Evil impression?
Blues is when Black and white men unite. Long live Blues. Big fella is next Jimi Hendrix!
South Africa says ...
Keeeeeeeeng Feeeeeeeeesh!!!
KINGFISH may get there but BONAMASSA is still the KING of that FISH.
Everyone on that stage is killer!🤟
So does he sound better with the excessive hair gel or beanie cap?
KFish ain't no joke,yo🎸🎸🎸
