I've been looking for a globe to decopauge and/or add transfers to for months and FINALLY a small one popped up on a What Not auction, so I snagged it up! I've painted it a antique white with a black base, I'm going to probably change the metal parts to copper from antique bronze. Anyway, I needed to see someone decopauge a round surface, so this video was an amazing instructional video to try my hand at decopauging that globe. Thank you and yours turned out beautifully so far ❤
I'd like to know how the German place got the paper on the inside of the balls without wrinkles and kept the pattern from folding over itself. I've decoupaged some rounded surfaces and tried to stop the patter from folding over itself but it's impossible :( Who is the German company because I want to write to them ask them how they do it!
@@SurfaceAnthology I wrote to a German company who make the eggs and this is what they said about the no wrinkles paper inside the eggs: thank you for your note ! Well, that is a secret - but I can tell you that we do this before the egg get His shape.
I just searched for decoupage on rounded surface!! Lol!! Perfect timing for your video!! Thank you for sharing and for all your inspiration!

Yay! Your project sounds amazing and thanks so much for watching 😊
You can make those paper mache balls. I make them, myself. The easiest way to decoupage a curved surface is by using saran wrap.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the great tips!

Hi there! I bought all my German paper mache, spun cotton years ago from an importer here in the US. If you do some digging you'll find information.
@@SurfaceAnthology Thank you for your reply. I will look around and see if I can get to the bottom of how they do that.

You have so many wrinkles! Not the kind of work I could sell.
Thanks for watching 😊
