Just to confirm .. I tried the glue method grafting! I took two cuttings from an expensive bought double red and grafted them onto a regular Adenium and two weeks later I removed the plastic and I was shocked they actually "took" !!
@BE_A_27_SHUBHAM_ MADHAVI do you know how mature a addenium seedling must be to graft to a mature plant? I have 50 or more seedlings various mixes i want to graft to my pink/whites.
Great video as usual, I thought the original one's were great and I watched them a heap of times ,enjoyed listening to your Dad giving instructions. I still have not tried the method but will this coming summer. Greetings from Australia.
It is amazing technique of grafting with glue. Please clarify whether I can use quick fix glue for grafting. Another thing this technique can be used for ficus & hibiscus plants where stems are hard compare to adenium.
Thanks for your comment. I’m not familiar with quick fix glue but it sounds similar to superglue. Basically it instantly bonds after a few seconds. But remember you are bonding the outside of the graft point and not gluing between the cuts. Thanks and best of luck!
I loved this video! The music, instructions and the cam shots👍🏻 Thank you for redoing it although I enjoyed the first one too. Please keep them coming.
Hello i love your video it like so easy but ill try again Thanks. Sir i like to ask if your selling some seeds of Adenium? Pls let me know Thanks again...
You make it look so easy using a blade i would be scared i would chop my finger off. My adenium is growing straight up and I don't know what to do about it as my other one is growing well and flowering. Its Winter here is it can i take the piece thats growing straight up off and grow it or graph it?
Hi i recently bought a grafted plant whose roots were soft and rotten when the plant arrived. Can i graft the upper end of the caudex (which has the graft) using your method. It would be a caudex on caudex graft
Hello Robert what is the best time of year to do grafting on the desert roses? I live in South Florida by this im trying to tell you my avg climate year round thanks for your videos very informative
Hi David, thanks for your question. I envy you living in South Florida. I would keep in mind your winter season and night time temperatures. Although during the day may be warm, if your night temperatures get below 70 degrees, it would lessen your chances of success. Ideally 80 and above with high humidity. Also with your rains , i would watch your watering as well. Hope that helps a bit. Thanks again!
@@growinggreenthumbs7497 excellent thanks so Summer time is best then I was thinking it be way to hot to do so but will try it out here is a new vid idea i see your last one was a few years back on how to pant the seeds your method is different that most our there what I seen is they let the seeds that are going to be used soak in a container with warm water for like 24 hrs then they plant them more or lees like on your vids but keeping the soil humid by keeping in like a topperware / plastic container closed lid or zip lock i have even seen putting seed ins a damp paper towel and leaving it in a the plastic container also whats the best time of year to do this as I have not had any luck doing any of these methods thanks again
Anytime. It’s never really too hot because remember, you need to put these in the shade right after you graft to let it recover. I do plan to do another sowing seed video for sure. I actually have done all the methods you mentioned with success. Although spring and summer time is ideal to do that, most importantly you just have to keep the warmth up. You can do this artificially with heat mats or warm lighting.
Hi depends on you weather but the main reason for the clear plastic is to see new growth. Once you see growing it’s a good sign you can remove. Generally it would be between 4-6 weeks in summer time. Thanks for your comment!
Shown 100 examples of glueing, but the process is not clear. Jump from cutting to showing the glue, cutting again. Not clear how the process from beginning to end.
Happy Father's Day! Thanks for update, watched old videos many many times about grafting with super glue.
Just to confirm .. I tried the glue method grafting! I took two cuttings from an expensive bought double red and grafted them onto a regular Adenium and two weeks later I removed the plastic and I was shocked they actually "took" !!
Grafting double rose like a pro now?

Je suis fan de la technique avec la glue, je fais qu’avec ça maintenant. Merci pour ce partage😊

Very helpful thank you
very useful, THANKS.
I am from India and trying this simple method
Ty for the video. Can we use anykind of super glue?
I haven’t tried other brands but I don’t see why other super glue won’t work.
HI
THANKS. THIS IS A METHOD THAT I TRIED AND IT WORKED!..
MY CUTTINGS, ABOUT 25 OF THEM...ALL FAILED. TRIED ALL TIPS .
Thanks for sharing
Hello my friend. 🇧🇷
Nice video - can we do the adenium grafting in October, as the day temperature is still very warm over here. Rgds
You can but you will have more success in the spring. Once the cold comes everything goes dormant and you may lose the graft easier. Best of luck.

Kiwi Land I would wait for warmer weather before trying to prune or graft it. You will have better success. Thanks for your comments!

Thank-you
I will also try
What kind of glue to used for grafting? Is it the normal super glue
Hi yes it’s normal superglue
Very nice look doing grafting with glue us easy Can u share the name of the glue
Hi it is called super glue. You can use just about any brand.
Super
Was für kleber ist das
It’s called Super Glue in the United States. It’s a very quick drying glue.
Danke
Very informative thanks for uploading. Can I wait say two hours after cutting the scion to graft. Or has it to be done within minutes.
It should be done relatively soon as you don’t want to let it dry and callus over as it will prevent a union. Thanks for watching 👍
When you removed plastic cover from grafting root?
sk nayum Wait until you see new buds growth. Usually takes about 1 month or so. You can always take it off and check and put it back on.
Do you put glue on the flat of the cut or just around the edges?
Just around the edges, you don’t want glue on the cut as it would create a barrier. Thanks for your question and for watching!
Have you tried putting a 1" long piece of a toothpick between the pieces, right in the middle, so they stay while you super glue them together?
Haven’t tried that but could possibly work. If you do try it, let me know how it goes.
Did you try this?
Is it safe to use Bulldog or Mighty bond in grafting?
From what I read, mighty bond is a superglue that is instant as well so should work. I just never used that so can’t comment on how safe it is.
Is it normal for the graft portion to shrink a little bit when using the glue method?
Yes actually that is normal. Just need to maintain slight moisture with the clear bag. Best of luck!
Final results were not same !! different plant showed 😢
Correct, in my video I noted that it was an example. If it was the same plant , I would have needed to wait many months. Thanks
I have a friend in Austin that has just discovered desert rose....are you near there???
Hi no we are 3.5 hours north of Austin.
Hello Robert
what is the best time of year to do grafting on the desert roses?

@@growinggreenthumbs7497 Thanks Robert so what do you suggest is the best time of year to do this for example late Oct-Nov or / and late Feb-Mar-Apr
I would say in April, May, June, July and early August to be on the safe side.
@@growinggreenthumbs7497 excellent thanks so Summer time is best then I was thinking it be way to hot to do so but will try it out
here is a new vid idea i see your last one was a few years back on how to pant the seeds
your method is different that most our there what I seen is they let the seeds that are going to be used soak in a container with warm water for like 24 hrs
then they plant them more or lees like on your vids but keeping the soil humid by keeping in like a topperware / plastic container closed lid or zip lock
i have even seen putting seed ins a damp paper towel and leaving it in a the plastic container also whats the best time of year to do this as I have not had any luck doing any of these methods
thanks again

After how many days , remove plastic cover, and how many days after graft give water

4 grafts done...two successful ❤️
what kind of glue did you use?
Hi I used super glue
Lindo trabalho adorei maravilhoso parabensss
i try grafting using glue but it did not work its rotten what will i do to have sucessful graffing
Keep trying. Be sure to not over water it and ensure the graft has enough time in the shade to recover. Don’t give up.
Im having the same results...keeps rotting
The plant you show in the end is not the same plant.
Correct it is just an example of a grafted plant in bloom and the result you can have. Thanks
Are you grafting another color on it?
Yes that’s correct
How hard do u press it?
Just medium pressure and hold long enough for the glue to dry and hold. Shouldn’t take more than 10 seconds.
Name of glue please
It’s super glue in the United States. It’s a fast drying glue.
Could i use wood glue also?
Could work but challenge is you would have to secure it long enough for the glue to dry.
@@growinggreenthumbs7497 good point. I went with super glue. I think some of mine dried up tho. House long did it have to be wrapped in plastic bag?
when it is the best time for grafting?
Wait until weather is consistently warm above 75 degrees Fahrenheit for best results. Best of luck to you! Thanks
