  • How to Grow Multiple Branches in Adenium Seedlings || 3 Tips
The video shows how to grow 11 adenium branches by a single cut. Only 3 unique tips are there to follow to make adenium bushy. The video is clearly divided in two parts. In the first part it shows the examples of some small adenium plants with bushy canopy. It first shows a small adenium plant that has grown so many branches. We applied the 3 tips on this plant and now you see the result. Some other desert roses with thick canopy are also shown. There is also another plant of one year and three months old. Friends, if you watch the full video, you will be amazed at seeing the result of this three tips. As for example you can see in the video a 2 years old adenium.
Now the 2nd part starts with a one year old adenium plant. Remember that a one year old adenium plant has more feeder roots and more strength to grow more branches than a 45 days old seedling.
Tip No. 1 :Let your adenium seedling grow freely for 1 life cycle year. The plant gains a little bit fat caudex in a year.
Adenium`s excess water and nutrient are stored in the caudex.
Tip No.2: Cut as close to the caudex as possible. Cutter must be sharp and sterilized. Now the water stored in the caudex evaporates from the cut area. But what will happen if we can stop evaporation of water after cutting? Water will create an internal pressure to find out openings. As a result the bud nodes
    will burst into new shoots.
Tip No. 3: Cover the open cut area with grafting tape or a piece of plastic. Applying fungicide is not necessary. Only follow 3 precautions: 1.Keep the plant in bright shade for a month or until new shoots have grown enough. 2. Always keep the soil moist. 3. Remove the grafting tape / plastic after 10-15 days.
Now the video shows the amazing result presenting a desert rose that was cut only 15 days ago. The grafting tape of the plant is removed and it is found that 8 branches have already emerged and there are clear signs of other 3. So we have got 11 branches by a single cut.

I am about to start the root training for my ~1yr old adenium. First time doing this method. It already has 2 med-sized branches. Should I cut those branches when I cut the tap root to get more branches, or should I just remove the leaves? I do not want to put too much stress on it to grow radial roots and more branches, but I am not sure if the plant can handle it. It is currently very healthy.

Great video tutorial and amazing results! I have two questions... What would have happened if you didn't covered with plastic the cut part of the plant? How many possible new branches would appear?
I am Ecuadorian 🇪🇨 and I don't know if this beautiful plant exists in my country but I do appreciate your great work.
In my country is very common to have the "JADE" plant and in my house there is one big jade plant in the terrace of the house which in my opinion is too much sunny for it, since it has few leaves and they are not dark green but light green and the borders are red. The thing is, the stem is really really thick and at this point I want to know if the technic that you have applied in this video could work well in my jade? The plant has a big main stem and lots of branches with few leaves. If I could make it grow new branches like you did in this video, that would be fantastic, but I don't know if that is possible and if you can somehow give me a response to my questions.
Thanks in advance, have a wonderful day! Blessings!!! 🤗 🤗 🤗

if it is not covered with plastic, it is prone to fungus which can cause the stem to rot.

watch the videos about how to make a Jade bonsai. you can have more branches by pruning your jade but in that case just prune the branches not the whole stem

    • @aquablooms
      @aquablooms Рік тому

It’s a nice question though he had mentioned answer for this question in the video itself.
Caudex of adenium plant is the reservoir of water and nutrients as plant is a succulent variety. Water stored in the caudex is released to plant body parts like leaves and stem for necessary biological actions for the growth of the plant. So once you cut the caudex and cover it airtight, water in the caudex will put and internal pressure to fin out openings and as a result bud nodes will burst into multiple new shoots. This is the simple principle of making multiple branches by a single cut mentioned in this video.
      Thanks 🙏 !!
