I just purchased Desert Rose seeds and after watching other videos I thought..."What have I gotten myself into?" Then I watched your videos and your explanations are very clear and easy to understand and I am now excited to get started. Thank you - your garden is beautiful and your Desert Rose and Bougainvillea plants are amazing. Can't wait to see if I can get the same results or at least close to yours.
I live in south Florida and love my desert roses. I have used your technique for repotting and trimming mine and they are getting fuller and nicer! I will have to try grafting now. Thank you for such educational videos.
Mr. Le, you teach us so much with every video! I enjoy watching your techniques. Please update us this year with a video of your beautiful giant desert rose in the cement pots that you made. Can you tell me which amazon store you purchase your desert rose, it appears that Home Depot and Lowe's in Virginia do not carry them any longer. Thank you
Como me duele no poder entender todo lo que explica, cuanta enseñanza pierdo pero aun asi soy su seguidora , admiro todo lo valioso que hace gracias desde Naples Florida una cubana saludos y mucho exito ❤
Mr. Le I love your desert roses I watch you all the time to help me grow mine as big as yours. I am in Texas, I don’t know if I should do anything different than you. Any help/tips will be appreciated! Also, I saw you purchased your desert rose on Amazon. Would you mind sharing the info/link from which you purchased? Thank you!!
I am glad I found this video, love it, looks so easy. Would I be able to the same in Texas? I am new to this and bought couple of them Calloway and very excited about this plant. Please let me know Mr.Le. Thank you!
I enjoy your videos! Very informative and understandable. I live in Zone 7/8. I stay confused as to when I should repot/cut my Adeniums as most instructions pertain only to very hot,wet areas of US. Can you give me a rough idea of when I should or should not repot/cut my plants? Thank you for your help!
How long would it take for you to notice the difference in the flowers after grafting? Is it right away, the first blooms? Ty I’ve starting growing them. Currently under LED. 🙏🏽
Hi Anh Son, Really enjoyed your videos. very good directions and easy to follow. QT have 2 questions first, how often do u water after the grafting? secondly, what kind of glue do u used? is it just the regular super Gorilla glue or a 10 second glue? Thanks.
Very intresting to watch your work on bonsai project. Hey . . whether you have caterpillar problem ? Pls advise how to get rid of caterpillar s in Adenium
Hi Sonny, I am in love with the desert roses and have learned a lot from you. I have been struggling with grafting and may have grafted at the wrong time of the year. I also live in Florida (Tarpon Springs), when is the best time of the year in Florida to 1/ graft and 2/ repot. Thank you.
In Florida, you can trim, repot, graft... most of every month from March to late Oct. When graft it, make sure the graft area is very tight and avoid the water get in there.
I have an almost 12 year old desert rose that’s never bloomed :( it has become quite tall/leggy. I bought it before my son was born and I’m too scared to trim, graft, or even repot it 😅 It’s literally like my 2nd (plant) baby lol but seeing these techniques makes me want to try it so that the base can get thicker and I can get it to bloom! Would love to propagate these and give them to my sons/family/friends. It never came with an official plant name tag so I didn’t know what it was for years until I tried to Google search the leaf shape etc. and found out it’s suppose to bloom too.
Just cut a.branches desert rose not so young Put in black sand mix with red Sand Some dry leaf at base mixe together WTering it n put your branches Put in shade until you see small leaf come out Watering very bit of water to help it grow There is no roots yet so not much water That it From seychelles Indian ocean
Mr Le, I have been growing some double petal desert roses from seed and I noticed that a lot of desert rose growers graft . Is there a reason to graft certain desert roses to other desert roses? Is it safe to grow these colorful desert roses and not graft them? Do they suffer more easily from diseases?
A fertilizer that is high in potassium or, banana skins are high in potassium, cut the skins up and put on top of the soil, they will eventually decompose into the soil. Mine have been laden with flowers since I gave them banana skins.

When do you remove the plastic? What at the watering instructions? Do you have to cut everything above the main trunk to apply the graft? Thank you in advance for your response.
I will remove the plastic 5 - 7 days after the first new leave appears. Spray your soil very little to keep it moist every other days. No wet! You don't need to cut everything above it. Just cut wherever you need to graft it. You can either graft multiple color on one tree (on each branch) Thank you
Hi Mr Le, I wanted to try grafting two different colors to one plant. I need to seek your advise, am I not supposed to water the plant? And for how long? As the plant is having some of it original flowers with it, whether is okay for it without any water? Thanks.
@@SonyLe thank you! Beautiful area. I just discovered you yesterday, and as another commenter said, watching your demonstrations makes processes like grafting much more easily understood.
I would like to know if you water the grafted one using the super glue before you covered it with the plastic cup? Thank you very much i learned something new frm you!
Sonny, I see that you're using a wrapping plastic for grafting ? I did too, but all failed, why? After grafting, put them in the shade or full sun? Thanks for your help.
Moia, when grafting, make sure the two surfaces are flat and when putting them together, make sure it is close tied, no gap between. They should be in the shade for 2 or 3 weeks.
Great video, I feel very confident about grafting after watching this video. Thank you.
I have learned more from you than in all my research. Thank you so much!

It will be helpful if you can show or tell how when to water the Desert rose so that it will make the video more complete. Tks

Thank you
Anh cho em hỏi, ưhen you graft using glue, do you poke holes on the cup to cover or no hole at all? Thanks anh
Cám ơn Ashley. There is no holes at all to keep the moisture inside.
After putting the plastic cap , do I have to water the grafted plant? When? Thanks
Can I use super glue on a cut from removing rot. If so what glue should I use?
