Me again!! would you believe we have just contacted our insurer to advise of the modifications we have made to the van and they have told us that now we have made changes they cannot insure the van!! absolutely unbelievable when we told then at the outset we would be converting to a day van and they said 'no problem', who are you insured with for your van and did you have any issues like this? they wanted to give us campervan/motorhome insurance but it's not a motorhome, now having to pay £55 for them cancelling our policy, I am speechless! any advice would be greatly welcomed, Thanks.
Hey Angela! Nice to hear from you again 👍 oh no!! I think that must be dependent on the insurance company? We had no issues… like you we informed them of the conversion and when it was complete we let them know and they updated the policy - I think there may have been an admin fee for the change £10… but they just charged the direct debit to cover…
I’ll have to check who we insure with as it’s in my wife name and she sorting it out… However we also just joined camping and caravan club!! 😃 and when we up for renewal they have some specialists we will prob move to.
Also on another point… I am planning a new feature on the channel “readers vans” where I’ll be featuring fellow van conversions on the channel with some pictures etc 👍 let me know if you want your van featured and send over some pics!! Be great to see the van too 👍
@@TransitCustomCamper Fab!! that's really helpful and we are also with C&CC so will look at them next year for renewal, I have just emailed you some pics and would be more than happy for these to be used, will send more of the conversion from the beginning. Our so-called insurers charged us £55 to cancel the policy!! we have since now managed to secure a new policy elsewhere, not cheap either but apparently very competitive. Thanks again.
Hi nice you can sell for me the future motor home
Hi - thanks for the comment… Not sure my wife would be too happy if I sold the van now 😂 I might be doing another conversion for sale at some point in the future when I can save up more £££ 👍
Im from Kuwait
Not sure why you made a whole cupboard ford the electric massive waste of space
Hey.. thanks for checking out the video and the feedback. What did you do on your build? It was my first attempt so be great to get your view? We can still use the cupboard & have since put in a shelf and a partition and a rail also.. so it’s not too bad 😅
