Hiya guys just subscribed to your channel as a newbie to this i am finding my feet slowly and find your videos so useful keep up the great work and have a cracking week.
Just keep one thing in mind. If you travel a lot, especially by ferry, or on motorways with toll booths, you will be charged like a truck, not a standard car. I learned that the hard way, my rv is 6.4 m. The magic number is 5.99 mts. If you happen to run into an asshole, they even consider a tow hitch (you can get detachable tow hitches though) or a bike rack to push you over the limit. Example: the trans med ferry from balearics to barcelona costs about 70 euros for a car, if you are over the limit, it is 300.

He has a real nice van! Does he live in it? I really like the awning tents that you guys use to add an extra room when staying for a few+ days. He should think about doing a murphy bed so during the day you don't have to climb over the bed to use the head.
Hi Deryk. Thanks for watching and subscribing. Kev doesn't live in his van, it is used for short breaks and longer holidays. He is in the process of selling this vehicle now as he has decided to start again and convert another van. 😀
@@derykmacleod4979 yep we will be showing more van builds. We have our Scotland trip videos coming up but there will be van tours interspersed with them. Kev does enjoy the process of building cans so I guess that he is addicted.

Will be going out on disability at that point from a work injury...so I will be buying a van and outfitting it. I like seeing the different ideas you guys bring into it. I can say for a fact mine will have a little shower toilet room...I won't budge on it because I want to travel 6 months of the year.
@@derykmacleod4979 That sounds great, we would love to spend more time in our van. We decided against having a shower room but do have an external shower that we use occasionally. In Scotland we found public showers which were good. You don't find them easily in England.

I follow a channel called Houseless not Homeless. He has a Renault Master bus with fiberglass hi top. He has about 3 proper steps to get in the back of his van so he has a false floor with enough space for a canoe, surfboard & more. Mind you he doesn't have the headroom. He's not that tall. Anyway, great van well converted.😁
There are 4 lengths in the transit range.. Short wheel base, Mid wheel base, Long wheel base and extra long wheel base, the extra long is called the Jumbo and is 3 feet longer than the long wheel base.. Yes it's a great conversion, lots of room in there. The fridge can be used as a freezer too.

Yes Carl i watch him as well.. his van is lighter as it has no sills.. haha.. i was going over to weld it for him, but his videos are a week behind...
