Two hippos outweigh a bull elephant. Plus, those hippos were submerged. I think its the hippos lack of collective territorial defense that makes them all retreat. They know they will individually be squashed, but at the same time, a hippo is no laughing matter. They can weigh as much as 60% of an elephant.
Absolutely right. You will never see a group of hippos get out of the way like that for any other creature of any kind, and not one of them showed even the slightest hint of aggression.
I don't understand why people refer to the lion as the "king" of the jungle have you ever seen a huge group of hippos stepping aside for a pride of lions to pass through their territory??
lion is called the kings because they don't have to do any work. The lioness hunts and the lions are the first to eat. A lion only works about 4 hours a day and rests for 20 hours. Only a king can afford such a life style. Also each lion has a territory of their own like kings. Strength doesn't mean anything. A king is not the strongest (or smartest) man in his kingdom. In fact, some are just lazy. The reason they become kings is because of their bloodline
cadbury 5star Well they may have a king's life but they are still not the true kings A true king is when he imposes his will over all the others without any exception and when he passes through no one wants to get in his way Now lions may own a territory but that territory means nothing when a larger animal such as an elephant or a rhino steps in The lions mostly resemble a nobility such the emirs who own lots of women have a king's life but they are not true kings
cadbury 5star The elephants are the true kings They are the most powerful animals on land No one wants to mess with them Whenever they walk every other animal makes way for them to pass through And they are also born like this so it is in their bloodline too
Kings are not strong like i said in the previous comment. Also kings don't work to get food and they have a their own territory. elephants work all day to feed themselves. Also a lions mane looks majestic. Kings are not strong. And I just said that lions are MOST like Kings compared to other animals
Love it went straight thru the middle of them like a boss. Hippos are right bullies in the wild but know there place with a elephant. Elephant king of the jungle on the real.
I love how elephants are such badasses that they can just casually waltz into a pond of hippos, _the_ megafauna with the highest human mortality rate, and all the hippos can do is awkwardly shuffle out of the way.
Im amazed how many ppl get that close to a hippo to begin with but pretty sure you're right. Elephants, lions, bears, and sharks kill ppl but hippos are at the top of that list.
@@sagaronline265 Dolphins in captivity are abused, so when they finally break they are able to drown a person quiet easily. Hence there is more dolphin fatalities than shark
@@hushe3302 yeah so main reason here again is human.thats what i was wondering why wud such friendly and intelligent creature kill humans without reason when we are not even part of their food.
Lions have killed elephants though. Mainly because 1. They work together in pride and only attack one elephant 2. Lions have the gift of sharp night vision unlike elephants so a pride of lions have an advantage in night time if they can separate an elephant
@@AngryBlondEFTW I have seen 10-15 lioness not able to kill a hippo and in return that hippo killed a lioness. Killing elephant is a far cry unless in special situations. And don't make excuse and tell me that a single lion is more powerful than 10 lioness lol.
Hippos: we dare somebody to come through here Elephant: yall better get the f#ck out the way Hippos: ok, but if someone smaller shows up then we'll show'em.
Edrien Graham dude , lions are smaller then hippo's and are no match. Hippo's can easily kill lions because they are bigger , more aggresive and very territorial. Lions dont even dare to cross a river if there are so many Hippo's in the water. A hippo has no chance against a elephant and certainly not againt one with big tusks. One hippo can easily scare of a lion if it even come's close to a river.
Hippos: "We kill anything that comes within 100 metres of our territory." Elephant: "Imma just pass through here, hope you don't mind." Hippos: "Not at all, make yourself at home."

It’s astonishing, how much larger the elephant is in the hippos! The hippos just like tiny compared to him. Mind blown!
May 13 or 14 feet high & weight around 10000kg
They could literally walk under him and not touch him. This is a massive bull elephant
@@akalankalokubogahawatta elephants dont weigh 22000 pounds
Two hippos outweigh a bull elephant. Plus, those hippos were submerged. I think its the hippos lack of collective territorial defense that makes them all retreat. They know they will individually be squashed, but at the same time, a hippo is no laughing matter. They can weigh as much as 60% of an elephant.
@@maaz322elephant can weigh more than 3x times of hippo
One of the most bad ass things I've ever seen. That elephant is a god.
Absolutely right. You will never see a group of hippos get out of the way like that for any other creature of any kind, and not one of them showed even the slightest hint of aggression.

ua-cam.com/video/i8dyyu4e-K8/v-deo.html
Here's the boss intro
😂😂
I don't understand why people refer to the lion as the "king" of the jungle have you ever seen a huge group of hippos stepping aside for a pride of lions to pass through their territory??
lion is called the kings because they don't have to do any work. The lioness hunts and the lions are the first to eat. A lion only works about 4 hours a day and rests for 20 hours. Only a king can afford such a life style. Also each lion has a territory of their own like kings. Strength doesn't mean anything. A king is not the strongest (or smartest) man in his kingdom. In fact, some are just lazy. The reason they become kings is because of their bloodline
cadbury 5star Well they may have a king's life but they are still not the true kings
A true king is when he imposes his will over all the others without any exception and when he passes through no one wants to get in his way
Now lions may own a territory but that territory means nothing when a larger animal such as an elephant or a rhino steps in
The lions mostly resemble a nobility such the emirs who own lots of women have a king's life but they are not true kings
true but also no other animal can be given the title of king. they are not 100% like our kings but closest to being a "king" than any other animal.
cadbury 5star The elephants are the true kings
They are the most powerful animals on land
No one wants to mess with them
Whenever they walk every other animal makes way for them to pass through
And they are also born like this so it is in their bloodline too
Kings are not strong like i said in the previous comment. Also kings don't work to get food and they have a their own territory. elephants work all day to feed themselves. Also a lions mane looks majestic. Kings are not strong. And I just said that lions are MOST like Kings compared to other animals
The person who filmed this deserves a medal. A gold medal.
Love it went straight thru the middle of them like a boss. Hippos are right bullies in the wild but know there place with a elephant. Elephant king of the jungle on the real.
Hippos n rhinos
Grade A bullies
I love how elephants are such badasses that they can just casually waltz into a pond of hippos, _the_ megafauna with the highest human mortality rate, and all the hippos can do is awkwardly shuffle out of the way.
Im amazed how many ppl get that close to a hippo to begin with but pretty sure you're right. Elephants, lions, bears, and sharks kill ppl but hippos are at the top of that list.

@@hushe3302 why and how?

Edrien Graham dude , lions are smaller then hippo's and are no match. Hippo's can easily kill lions because they are bigger , more aggresive and very territorial. Lions dont even dare to cross a river if there are so many Hippo's in the water.
A hippo has no chance against a elephant and certainly not againt one with big tusks.
One hippo can easily scare of a lion if it even come's close to a river.

When an elephant passing through their territory: "welcome"
crocs live in the same ponds and rivers with hippos
Those hippos know that elephant's tusks can go right through them.
ronleon62 Highly unlikely since hippo skin is difficult to bite through even for predators like lions.
Kevin R yes there skins are tough but the pushing power of elephant with powerful muscles plus the tusks can go through hippos skin easily i guess
