Jaina went to assassinate Jacen, less so to fight him. Jacen had already lost a hand to Jaina in a prior fight wherein Luke distracted Jacen with a force vision of Luke in place of Jaina. As soon as Jaina saw Jacen on his Star Destroyer, she immediately stabbed him in the chest before he had time to react. Between that early wound, missing a hand, and just learning that his child was in grave danger from the Empire, Jacen was seriously handicapped against Jaina. He still nearly beat her.

The whole Jedi Order rallied to stop Caedus. The little boy once cradled by Leia, taught tricks by Han. A shining light of the galaxy, and a man on whose shoulders everybody put their hopes. A hero and veteran And in the end he searches too much, isolates himself from his family. The tyranny he installs could have lasted for millenia, with him becoming the strongest being in the Force. A fallen hero
Him joining The Dark Side was the only way Luke survived, and he thought Luke had to survive for the greater good of the galaxy. He only supposedly joined the dark side because of that, and the vision of the “dark man on the throne” he kept having. He wanted Luke to be around for that. Either Jacen was the man on the throne or, another popular theory, he joined the dark side for no reason and his vision was about Darth Krayt
A complete assassination of Jacen's character, to the point that Caedus literally could not have come from Jacen. Truly the "Jake Skywalker" of Legends. He is Jake Solo. This slop belongs in the Disney canon. Not Legends canon.
I mean I pull everything from the KotR games and some of the connected media, anything else EU or Disney not so much. I'm OK with Disney stuff set between the OT and the PT but everything after is just fanfic to me.
Caedus did not fall. He sacrificed himself to the dark side. He knew that, as Darth Caedus, he would unite the galaxy against him. Creating an alliance capable of surviving Abeloth who Jacen had sensed in his travels.
Shows that those in charge of those movies didn't give a monkeys arse about the fans or the continuity of the canon story. Kinda like those idiots that killed off Scooby and made Velma a lezo when her and Shaggy got a kid together
This is why Jacen Solo is the most interesting of Han Solo and Leia Organa's children. Even mostly better and more understandable than Ben Solo. Jacen was one of the characters who understand the true nature of the force more than anyone who studies and uses it. He was reaching all of his potential of becoming a powerful force user just like his uncle Luke Skywalker did to become what his father Anakin did not have the chance to achieve. Jacen Solo is the real heir of Darth Vader, The story of his fall makes more sense and has a necessary arc for Luke finding both Abeloth and Darth Krayt's Sith Order.
His fall to the dark side is what Kylo was based on, just this was such a better and more nuanced and explainable way a Skywalker descends to the dark side
There is no ben Skywalker who jaycen trained and was a jedi assasin with force cloak no Mara jade which is Luke's wife and Ben's mother also there is no awaking solo the twins older brother and his death is pivotal to jaycens fall to the dark side as well
Nah...Adam Driver Jacen is way better looking (lol) and according to the books has a different personality than Ren, who was consumed with bitterness, emotion, and a lust for power. Kinda like a much less cool Anakin. Jacen was far more mindful of his powers and emotions and was a good Jedi up until the death of his brother. His intentions were "noble" but were gone about all wrong.
I grew up reading the EU stories. The first Star Wars book I read was 'Heirs to the Force' which was about Jaina and Jacen Solo as teenagers at the Jedi Academy. I was the same age as the twins when I discovered the books so I really feel like I grew up with them. When Jacen fell to the dark side nearly a decade later, I really felt the pain of his fall. Since we never had the connection to Ben Solo (which was really Ben Skywalker in the EU), you really didn't care about him falling to the Dark Side, though Adam Driver did his best with what he got. Please just keep Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin Solo in the books so Disney won't destroy them like they did Han, Leia, and Luke!
Thank you so much for finally covering Caedus! I mean he pretty much was the 2nd palpatine. He's my favorite sith lord. Thanks this was a great Xmas present
Okay let's just clear something up Jaina didn't ACTUALLY best Darth Caedus in the fight. She had help from Boba Fetts granddaughter, had cut Jacen's arm off in a previous bout, AND the Army that Caedus was fighting at the time had just fired a genetic missile at Caedus's baby mama and child specifically for killing them. Rather than defend himself he sent a message through the Force to warn them because Jaina was hot on his heels and he had to choose between sending that message and deflecting the killing blow.
@brooklyn smokes right so the Moffs were on his side vs. who? That's the fight I'm referencing. The fight prior where he broke Mirtas back and got his arm chopped off by Jaina were literally half a chapter away from his death at Jainas hand. I read the books very thoroughly every time yo, maybe do yourself a solid and go re-read.
Jacen’s fall can truly be traced back to Vergere. While Jacen was imprisoned by the Vong, Vergere tortured him in order to show him a different understanding of the Force. This was ultimately done to make him follow the dark side.
Throughout galactic history, there have been several users with such power in the force that their simple actions are capable of tilting the blade to one side or the other and bringing destruction or order (Vitiate, Exar Kun, Revan, Darth Sidious, Anakin, Luke...). Obviously, Darth Caedus is one of them, his conversion to the dark side brought destruction to the galaxy to such an extent that he was even able to alter the force's current and free the wielder from chaos. In LOTF times, he was able to duel Luke after being stabbed in the lung and making it out alive. A single one of his bolts was able to incapacitate Jaina in their first duel on Nickel One. He defeated Kyle Katarn even when he was severely injured from his confrontation with Luke. He had mastered the shatter point ability with which he was able to mop the floor with the Mandalorians, this is impressive because here we are not talking about the cheap Disney Mandalorians, but about the EU Mandalorians, which are so broken that with a little effort and the help of the script are capable of taking down Darth Vader himself. Even Leia in the novel "Millennium Falcon" says that Jacen was much more dangerous than UnuThul, who with the help of that killik hive is an entity that is very broken. Even if we go back to his participation before LOTF, we can see that he had to be nerfed because at the rate he was going, he would have ended up beating everyone after he came back from his five-year journey. He was the true heir to the Jedi and the only one who could truly understand the Unifying Force at the end of the Yuuzhan Vong War.
Iirc Luke actually said at one point that he kinda nerfed that fight because he felt taking Jacen down himself would bring more negative outcomes than letting him escape. Plus that whole sword of the jedi prophecy led him to feel that it had to be jania. After the demonstration Luke gave him in his wardroom, plus the things he pulled off towards the end of the vong war, I think Luke absolutely could have flattened him with both raw power and experience. ( Luke would have had the handicap of fighting as a trained lightsider who's touched the dark, vs another trained lightsider who had fully switched teams. I think Luke would have pounded him but it would have been even messier on the large scale.) So the force showed him a way to sidestep the fight by adding in a third wild card, the Mando training for jania.
@@blackc1479 I don’t think he nerfed that fight … had Ben not been so close to the Dark Side with that whole "this kill is mine" talk Luke would have ended it right there. That being said there was a moment earlier in in the fight when Caedus was telekenetically strangling Luke with some Vong torture vine thing but couldn't resist taking a second to gloat and give Luke an opening to escape. I do agree Luke would have won a rematch, that's made pretty clear but Caedus was also like 3 decades less experienced. In my head cannon Caedus could have been even with Luke had he been given a few more years to hoan his skill as a Sith but obviously we’ll never know.
@@kirtmanwaring3629 agreed that had he been allowed to keep going (or been even brighter and kept his head down) he would have been a much harder target. Hell, if he had taken the long view, he could have just outlived Luke, and squashed jania when he did finally reveal himself. Granted, I did forget about the Ben aspect, but it still stands that at that point Luke could have smacked him down hard. Side note, one day, I want to see a "what if" kind of story where the sith get over the desire to be recognized as the ultimate bad asses, and just get on with running things. Palps could have still been in charge if he hadn't had to have his grand gesture. A real sith can get over their ego, and just rule from the shadows. Jacen could have done the same, but despite all his training he couldn't get over having himself front and center.
@@blackc1479 Smacked him down hard? I think it's more like a ten percent or 15 percent power difference which probably would have disappeared a few years after LOTF. Luke would have won after the fight of his life.
@@kirtmanwaring3629 gotta disagree, Jacen had a lot of exotic skills, and a comparable raw power level. Luke may not have had as many different disciplines, but he did also guide jacens learning on that path. Plus, we don't know what he hadn't taught anyone else. (Not personally settled on the idea, but some also argue that experiencing and resisting the darkside on a long term can also kinda buff your power in the light) But yeah, I stand by the idea that all being equal, and no "this will have worse outcomes" plot hamstringing, Luke could have eaten his lunch then, and likely for a long time after.
Its awesome to see Jacen/ Darth Caedus get the attention that he deserves. He and Jaina/ the Sword of tbe Jedi ,were two of my absolute favorite characters in any S.W. story.
This guy was so powerful he learned unheard of sith and jedi abilities to the point where he could travel back in time to when Vader was sacking the jedi temple.....and Vader actually noticed and perceived his presence lmao he was unreal
Funny enough Jaina Solo did not become a Jedi Master until long after her fight with Jason Solo. But, I do love this book series. Thanks for finally covering Jacen Solo.
The story of Jacen Solo is one I read completely. I've read a lot of Star Wars books, and I read the entirety of the Yuuzhan Vong war, Thrawn, basically everything that happened after Return of the Jedi. It is honestly an amazing story, and there is so much potential for Disney to draw from, but at the same time, I don't hate the way Disney went with it. It would be almost impossible to recreate the emotion and whatnot into live action. Not saying it can't be done, but I don't think I'd like it. Jacen is honestly my favorite Star Wars character of all time, even as Caedus. The books helped you understand him and why he did the things he did. Not that I agree with all of it, but I don't really blame him.
Ever since, i have completed my read throu all avilable SW EU books in local library no other character path from protagonist to antagonist felt same and i always keept comparing them to Cadeus. Force potential and desire of protecting loved ones of Anakin, will for self improvement and hard working nature of Luke, Inteligence of Shiev, insight of other people as Yoda... All of that and more was what made Cadeus best vilain of SW EU
@@garycannon4644 I don't care if this comment is two years old. FINALLY someone speaking some sense. I feel like Will Ferrel in Zoolander reading these comments. Caedus is the worst.
I'm at long last reading the Legacy of the Force series. Caedus getting the Fondor operators to drop their shields in the middle of a battle was a major "oh shit!" moment.
Really would’ve loved to see Sebastian Stan playing Jason Solo. Disney really messed up with their own take on the character, but I know Adam did his best with what he had.
It never even occurred to me to compare and contrast Jason and Kylo... it's not even close, not even in the same solar system Cadeus would brush Kylo aside like one does a flie. If Rey came up against him even her plot armor would fail lol. Dude survives a fight with Luke at the peak of his powers, and still manages to hold his own against Jaina another Skywalker and one of the most renowned Jedi of the New order while recovering from his wounds.... He was a sith for like a year, how powerful would he have become if he had time to grow into his power?
Kylo Ren is universally stronger than Darth Caedus. Kylo Ren was a true Dark Side user and mastered it. Darth Caedus was a Sith only for a year. Also Kylo Ren had killed more people than Darth Caedus. Kylo Ren killed 400 people. Kylo Ren even killed a Zillo Beast. This is something Darth Caedus can never do.
@Eren Kaskarli Jason defeated jedi masters including Skywalkers. He defeated numerous dark jedi, fought in the vong wars. He mastered not only the Jedi arts but multiple other force user disciplines before converting to the sith... Kylo wouldn't have stood a chance to Jedi Knight Jason, let alone Sith Lord Jason.
the legacy of the force book series was some of the most interesting I have ever read, it made me regret not starting with books where Jacen and Jaina were children so I could get the whole story, I instead began with the last series when they were already adults, however there were flashback scenes so i got the gist of the whole thing with Vergere and so on.
When they first hinted about the sequel trilogy I was really hoping it would be about the fall of Jacen Solo and his morphing into Darth Caedus. Such a strong character that they could have built a trilogy around.
Someone with one lightsaber is effective at slice and dice multiple targets, someone with twin plasma blades are twice more effective, someone with a lightsaber with a guard or hand protection made from Beskar/Baskar or with a shield has a higher defensive or offensive possible defensive actions. A lightsaber blade shape of a katana is dangerous usually. The Shoto lightsaber that from Ahsoka Tano in clone wars season 4-6 the neon greenish yellow and the pair of blue blades given by Anakin can be used similar to a Wakisashi. Also a staff would work too. Darth mauls lightsaber staff without the buttons can also be very good for hitting the opponent without activating the blade, since there is no front or back.
Ahhh....the solo twins...the storyline we deserved but,did not get!if a treatment of the novels with Jacen,Jaina and anakin solo would have been adapted into a film trilogy using a proven metric,we would have seen the rise and fall of Jacen solo and the immense power of caedus...and if I remember correctly,I think he too was only redeemed at his death by his twin sister jaina....this storyline checked all the boxes for the Disney corporate goons but, provided the depth and reasoning characters abilities....
It's funny - if Disney had gone with the existing continuity for the sequel trilogy, they'd have had a perfect story here. Additionally, the Y.V. War could've been done like the Clone War was. They had it all layed out in front of them.
Jacen traveled the galaxy learning arcane force abilities for a number of years.. I do remember he took Ben and Luke confronted him and literally sat him the fuck down like a little kid with the force.. these books were fucking great.. also left out is how his sister traveled to train with boba fett .. who was mandalore ..in order to learn how to counter force abilities and kill a force user . It was fucking great..the daughter of Han Solo among the mandalorians .. and mandalorian culture is so much better and more fleshed out in the eu Karen Traviss novels.. she just absolutely brilliantly wove a tapestry of mandalorian lore history and tradition .. I believe Luke also traced havens steps with Ben and learned how to teleport objects etc
Another reason why Legends is better then Canon they actually had amazing badass sequel and legacy characters. So sad how Disney literally ruined what Caedus was suppose to be along with that era of SW after episode 6.
Another glaring example of the failures of Disney to not bring to life the story that was already well laid out in the EU books. From Truce at Bakura up through this tale of Darth Caedus and even more stories afterwards, enough material to develop into movies and streaming shows to last for decades on end and they pissed it all away for diversity, inclusion, and equity. There is a reason those 3 words together spell D.I.E.
This was quite interesting not to mention informative. It seems that Jason Solo is, in fact, a fully realized force potential Anakin Skywalker in my opinion. I do believe that Adam Diver was a good pick to portray Han and Leia's son, unfortunately it looks like once again Disney, for lack of better words, screwed the pooch.
Darth Fist got taken down by the sword of the jedi, his sister. Also jacen went on a spiritual journey of sorts, meeting with many many different force using cultures, not jedi, to learn a lot of obscure, unique, and powerful abilities. After the war, luke was exiled and with Ben, Retraced jacens steps. This was a wonderfully informed video. I believe Anakin Solo would have been a new convergence.....
at least legends had a plan and a better idea of SW. if you didnt read them in the 90s or you dont like to read they are available on audio. you listen to pod casts right?
If Kylo Ren was more like Darth Caedus, I would find nothing wrong with him. Caedus was power and would have been an amazing main antagonist of the sequel trilogy.
To be honest I have read all the series of books mentioned in this video and recently reread the series concerning Jason Solo becoming Darth Cadeus, and I have to point out that you got a large amount of details wrong in this video concerning Cadeus and how he gained his abilities and other aspects of his training
when will people learn the eu has a plethora of awesome sith and jedi that disney severely miscalculated the money they would of had to pay the authors for the original stories would of been pennies in the bucket to what they could of made had they gone with admiral thrawn trilogy then a tales of the jedi series which ends in the yu zheng van war. well as much credit as caedus deserves his brother anakin was leagues above him and even their uncle luke a true loss to the star wars family when anakin solo died he had to correct jaycens misunderstandings on the force and with out him jaycen was unable to see the correct path to his goals.
Only simpletons that believe Kathleen Kennedy when she said there's no material to go off of when she said that I posted on Twitter among other places thd very stuff we're talking about here as well as the old republic umm gee DARTH BANE so much stuff from the EU it just baffles me how stupid Kathleen is... but as far as the rest I can explain why Disney did its own... EGO... they wanted to have their own story that they can take credit for only they beyond screwed the pooch on what they made
I really feel like Disney has ruined so much of the Star Wars lore that I love. It's bad enough that they scrapped all the expanded universe but they replaced it with complete garbage episode 7, 8, and 9 have just been awful. Further I'm walking up the toy aisle and I noticed that they've decided to drop the name of Slave 1 from Boba Fett's ship. I just can't believe this garbage. It's even made its way into the games for instance the G-rated lightsaber combat in Jedi Fallen Order. The last Star Wars media content that I really liked was the Clone Wars series and even that got canceled early because of the sale to Disney. I'm done I'm not supporting them financially anymore, I hope more and more people do the same and perhaps will eventually get change.
Luke absolutely did NOT get to gauge Vader’s true direct strength. ESPECIALLY not pre-suit…. George Lucas VERY clearly stated himself that even Luke would NEVER be able to defeat his father in a direct contest of strength pre-suit. In a “force tug of war” was how he put it…. And yes, Lucas was on the editors’ board for the New Jedi Order series. He knew all about the Vong War and just how powerful Luke would become after ROTJ.. He CREATED the characters.. Pre-suited Vader would stomp Caedus, without question. He was far stronger than his grandson EVER was, and even stronger than Luke.. Yes, Luke is a better all around force user with more knowledge than pretty much any other force user in history, but NOT a stronger one. His father was the reigning master of the physical side of the force. Amping/channeling, dueling/martial ability, all out telekinetic power, etc.. Luke was far ahead of him in the esoteric and arcane sides of things, but NOT the physical. Vader/Anakin had no superior in that regard. Caedus is like a mix between the two. But a little less of each. He’s strong with living force like his grandfather and was a master of the physical side of things as well, but also had a very well-rounded skill set with knowledge of a bunch of abilities like his uncle. But he was nowhere NEAR his grandfather’s level as a swordsman. Vader was the greatest swordmaster in galactic history. Pre-suit, nobody could withstand his onslaught toe to toe. Not even Kenobi, known by all as the greatest defensive stonewall in Star Wars. Even he could not meet Vader head on. He had to bait Vader into defeating HIMSELF, which solely happened due to the state of mind Vader was in ah the time. Lucas himself even said it was a fluke, that Vader would’ve killed him on Mustafar had it been any other day. He even said that had he just kept a clear head and dispatched Kenobi, he THEN would have went and killed Sidious afterward.. Where do you think the ROTS videogame adaption gets that from??? If Pre-suit Vader can handle Sidious, he’d smoke Caedus. Period. Sidious himself even admitted to Vader that he had surpassed him after taking down the Jedi Temple. “Do you feel you growing?” “Yes, my master.” “You have done well Lord Vader, you are more skilled than any Sith before you”…. That’s including HIMSELF. That was a direct quote from both the film’s novelization and the film’s comic adaption. You just didn’t see that in the film because you don’t see the full conversation, only a short portion of it from Kenobi’s point of view in a hologram with Yoda. And then he says “I can’t watch anymore of it”…. So, we’ve now established Pre-suit Vader stomps Caedus; but suited Vader would do the same.. It’s not a source but that kid “Evannova” actually makes a good case on exactly why that is in the versus video he did between the two. Point there is that he covers some of the arguments I would make here that would take forever to do.. Vader would clap Caedus, Pre or Post suit either one.. Suited Vader is an even more technically sound defensive swordsman than the Pre-suited Vader, if a less devastating offensive powerhouse. Caedus absolutely would NOT be able to hang with Vader once the blades are ignited. And he would NOT be able to overpower him at all. HE would get overpowered himself. Especially by the Pre-suited Vader. Caedus couldn’t even get out of a chair when Luke pinned him in it, he could not break his telekinetic grip. And if that same Luke would not be able to break his father’s grip Pre-suit, per the man who literally created the characters, then he’d have no problem at all overpowering Caedus. Caedus is absolutely NOT “more powerful” than Vader, in either iteration of himself. Period.
Caedus is outright stated superior “It’s a plan that will be as difficult and dangerous to execute as it is daring. For Caedus is a scion of both the Skywalker and Solo bloodlines whose command of the Force surpasses even that of his grandfather Darth Vader. There is only one who is bound by destiny to stand against him in what will surely be a duel to the death, only one with an outside chance of bringing down the dark lord who was once Jacen Solo.” Star Wars legacy of the force invincible Jacen destroys vader
Some other conversations here got me thinking. The biggest Achilles heel to the sith is simply ego. You can divide them up into two camps: the sith who HAVE to show how great/clever/powerful or whatever. This covers 98%of them. Or, The sith who just want to get their overarching job done. Yeah, getting rid of the jedi is for the former a huge ego stroke. But for the latter, it would just be practicality, since they would be best equipped to oppose "the plan". There is obviously overlap. Palps was the former for a long time. But it was a long game to make himself the former. Jacen could have been hugely powerful, long term. He could have hid in plain sight, and worked things behind the scenes. But he had the dichotomy of thinking of himself as low key and self sacrificing, but he had to out himself, just to prove how self sacrificing he was. If he had REALLY taken the job first idea to heart, he would have never gone so public. But that "I am the only one" mentality actually hamstrung him from what he thought he was working for.
I wish since we will never get a live action movie or series of anything after VI with anything legends. I’d say they could at least do it in animation and call it Legends. Basically a Star Wars what if!!
Fun fact: When LotF with Darth Caedus was released, it was not well received either, both the story and his fall. It only became better AFTER Sequel Trilogy. To read more details, like how an ATTACHMENT (one of the things Luke allowed in his new order) started this all mess, see: TV TROPES - Legacy of the Force
Both stories are terrible. The only difference is that the sequels ruined Disney's canon. LotF ruined the Legends canon. I'd argue the latter is worse. I will not allow this revisionism of history to forgive the sins of these books.
I mean, if they stripped that story down to its essentials, and kept the best parts of the new trilogy, they'd have had something brilliant. For instance, Rey Nobody, Rey Skywalker, or Rey Solo, all of them could have worked with Darth Caedus, and in the latter two cases, falling to protect her the way EU Caedus fell to protect his daughter, Allana. It would also explain why she ended up on Jakku.
I would want a Darth caedus that is redeemed early or when he kills someone important once.i hate that it happened twice(Anakin & jacen) and the galaxy is left to guess if a skywalker/solo born would be good or not.irl you often have to choose the option of changing your surname if a family member is a serial killer.
Caedus was a kid playing Sith. He had to bring a sacrifice of love, and, as a weak compromise, chose his aunt (!!) although he had a beloved wife and a little daughter. Jacen was a master of self - deception - nothing more.
Nothing like hearing the true canonical stories being told. It’s a breath of fresh air.

In my heart, Legends is the real cannon.

Caedus did not fall. He sacrificed himself to the dark side. He knew that, as Darth Caedus, he would unite the galaxy against him. Creating an alliance capable of surviving Abeloth who Jacen had sensed in his travels.

They damn sure did DROP THE BALL smfh!!
@Anh Huynh I think you're mistaken with someone else.
His fall to the dark side is what Kylo was based on, just this was such a better and more nuanced and explainable way a Skywalker descends to the dark side

imagine Adam Driver being a live action accurate portrayal of Jacen Solo/Caedus? Talk about chills

Him and his sister fight still gives me chills every time I read it this is and always be my cannon
Jacen’s fall can truly be traced back to Vergere. While Jacen was imprisoned by the Vong, Vergere tortured him in order to show him a different understanding of the Force.
This was ultimately done to make him follow the dark side.
A lie. Vergere was never a Sith. Do not believe the BS retcons Denning came up with to justify his trash fire of a story.
He ran Kyle Katarn through. Kyle almost died in the gutter while Caedus decapitated another jedi.
I think Luke would have pounded him but it would have been even messier on the large scale.)
So the force showed him a way to sidestep the fight by adding in a third wild card, the Mando training for jania.
(Not personally settled on the idea, but some also argue that experiencing and resisting the darkside on a long term can also kinda buff your power in the light)
But yeah, I stand by the idea that all being equal, and no "this will have worse outcomes" plot hamstringing, Luke could have eaten his lunch then, and likely for a long time after.
You forgot to mention the fact that, unlike kylo Ren, jacen was written well and liked by almost everyone

I wish they would have went with this plot! It would’ve been amazing!!
One does no simply read what you read and then accept what Disney did.

Great video. I wish Disney went this timeline when making the sequel trilogy.
@@iitim2152 You are right about Jedi Jacen. But in a fight between Kylo vs Caedus....No....Kylo wins easily.
the legacy of the force book series was some of the most interesting I have ever read, it made me regret not starting with books where Jacen and Jaina were children so I could get the whole story, I instead began with the last series when they were already adults, however there were flashback scenes so i got the gist of the whole thing with Vergere and so on.
Adam Driver could have been an excellent Jacen.
Caedus was my favorite EU character; I wish he comes back somehow
Thank you this is a great video

Another glaring example of the failures of Disney to not bring to life the story that was already well laid out in the EU books. From Truce at Bakura up through this tale of Darth Caedus and even more stories afterwards, enough material to develop into movies and streaming shows to last for decades on end and they pissed it all away for diversity, inclusion, and equity. There is a reason those 3 words together spell D.I.E.
I really hope IF Disney caves and makes films based around legends content, they do Exar and Ulic, Kyle Katarn, Revan and Caedus absolute justice.
Well, they won't make EU movies as 2 Star Wars universes on-screen would confuse people. But they might revive Legends timeline in other media.
What is the background music?
This was quite interesting not to mention informative. It seems that Jason Solo is, in fact, a fully realized force potential Anakin Skywalker in my opinion. I do believe that Adam Diver was a good pick to portray Han and Leia's son, unfortunately it looks like once again Disney, for lack of better words, screwed the pooch.

Who's this guy at the start? Seems cool. Probably some Old Republic guy. After all, there was no movies after Return of the Jedi.
In the final book, each chapter starting with one of his corny jokes from his childhood is a gutwrencher.

They should just bring him & his twin back as secret twins of Han & leia to make up for the sequels

Period.
Where's your Vergere video, cant find it ?
Caedus is outright stated superior
“It’s a plan that will be as difficult and dangerous to execute as it is daring. For Caedus is a scion of both the Skywalker and Solo bloodlines whose command of the Force surpasses even that of his grandfather Darth Vader. There is only one who is bound by destiny to stand against him in what will surely be a duel to the death, only one with an outside chance of bringing down the dark lord who was once Jacen Solo.”

Some other conversations here got me thinking.
The biggest Achilles heel to the sith is simply ego. You can divide them up into two camps:
the sith who HAVE to show how great/clever/powerful or whatever.
This covers 98%of them.
Or,
The sith who just want to get their overarching job done.
Where the hell are you getting all these high-res images from, like @4:30, what the hell is this even from hahaha
I wish since we will never get a live action movie or series of anything after VI with anything legends. I’d say they could at least do it in animation and call it Legends. Basically a Star Wars what if!!
He would have been a phenomenal villain to showcase in the movies.
Fun fact: When LotF with Darth Caedus was released, it was not well received either, both the story and his fall. It only became better AFTER Sequel Trilogy.
To read more details, like how an ATTACHMENT (one of the things Luke allowed in his new order) started this all mess, see:
TV TROPES - Legacy of the Force
