Aside from that, he was already unsure about selling due to his story with his friend at the end. It was opening a wound for him.

You are totally disrespectful to that seller and you got the nerves to name your videos "Yard sale Karen goes too far" The cards in question were not yet your property and were considered collectible. Despite this, you handled them roughly while examining them. The better shape the cards are in, the more they are worth. It appears that you were more interested in securing a cash deal than in showing respect for the seller and their property. Your behavior was unprofessional I urge you to reconsider your approach and conduct yourself in a more respectful and professional manner in the future
Blah blah, I’ve been collecting cards for over a decade, the cards were in binders and sleeves. He is not doing anything wrong. Rethink before you comment an entire essay under a UA-cam video 😂
Certainly, I have extensive experience in collecting various types of cards, including Magic cards and sports cards. This expertise allows me to provide informed insights into the matter at hand. Were the cards in the box organized within binders? Although you acquired the box at the end of the transaction, it does not imply prior ownership until the financial exchange is completed. And your ego that you have, with its focus on yourself and how you didn't get it cheaper than you did to fill your pocket from his hard work collecting it, tells me how much respect you deserve yourself (NOTHING) Your self-centered perspective, prioritizing personal gain over fair respect or compensation for the collector's hard work, raises concerns about the level of respect you accord yourself. You would have profits 📈 anyway But you were greedy 🤔 All about you, not any care that he needed the money... What a way you live your life, sir I hope you are a proud man👏
@Ste.ph.X1 No, I guess your IQ is too low to even come up with a serious and intellectual argument. Rather, you retreat to your corner and blame the length of my comment as the reason you can't come up with a better argument...

bro thought he cooked with this one 💀 would much rather that kid get the cards, that’s who their made for. she’ll value them. all this guy wants to do is rip the seller off and make more.
lol the title of this video totally backfired...yeah...there's no way I am reselling valuable cards I've been collecting since middle school to some old dude who calls them magic cards and handles them like they're worth nothing then talks about being a reseller. If I was the seller, I would've thanked the lady chirping in for helping me come to my senses. 😂
He knew exactly what those were he was just acting dumb making it seem like he doesn't know anything about the cards. Then he proceeds to talk to the seller about grading and tcg etc.
If he knew nothing about cards, why handle them and flip through them so carelessly, especially when your entire point is to sell them! Presumably to people who actually know what the cards are worth and would clearly take better care of them than you and not handle them like a gorilla. That annoyed me so much as someone who collects things (not cards but everyone who collects is extra careful with what they collect and how they handle it)
Awkward situation indeed. The thing that really got me this video though was the way you treated that man's cards. If I were the seller, I would not have sold you anything after witnessing the vicious way you handled them.
That binder of Yugioh cards was worth way more than $50. I saw several cards in there that fetch $100+ and maybe more depending on if they are first edition.
@@thetigerman yeah butnot really a near mint or even used thunder king Rai oh is easily 50 bucks the visible car at 6:06, the yard sale guy really didnt knew how much he had there.
If you wouldn't have "diddled" around with those cards, by rifling through the pages incessantly, spilling your info, etc, etc. you would have picked all up for $70, $75 within a short time before the lady and her daughter stepped in. I was yelling " Just pick them up!! You're not going to learn anything by constantly flipping the pages!!!!!"
I was trying to decide if I wanted them…looking at signs of value…you have to remember, I had no idea someone was gonna come up like that :) I pick the way I pick…it serves me well, typically :)
If you dont know about the cards, why are you manhandling them repeatedly? You just told him you know nothing about his childhood passion but you want to beat him down on price and sell it off.
Long time serious collector here, I am not a reseller, so I am acutely aware of what people’s intentions are, judging by the way the video creator was handling the cards so roughly , without care I am so disgusted by it , resellers destroy the entire hobby . Yet they drive up the value of the cards. I just want to say that just because the cards are in sleeves and they’re in a protective binder doesn’t mean they’re invincible and you can just manhandle them anyway that you want you have to be gentle with these carbs because any tiny little Ding is the difference between 20$ and 500$ it’s important to approach cards with care especially if you aren’t familiar with them , otherwise you are throwing money away
For real. I was into Marvel trading cards in the early 90s so my friends and I all had our own collections in binders. It's just common courtesy to go through people's stuff with care when you're looking at it. And if you're looking to buy it then you should be even more careful so that you don't risk damaging something because it might end up being a card with some real value to it. The seller probably decided that his collection was more valuable than some quick cash.
As someone who plays Yugioh the way you're man handling them cards would make me mad. I'm surprised he didn't tell you to stop. You're literally trying everything you can to damage them. Good job on him taking them off.
She was out of line but I don’t think that factored at all into him not selling them, you talking about flipping on eBay and making more money from them was the sole reason the deal didn’t go through.
Should have whipped out the 20 bucks and bought it ASAP rather than splustering around flicking back and forth through the other card book. Irish Style, ask a price , agree on a price and boom payment made.
Exactly! Especially as he didn't have a clue about the other cards. Look at it all you want it ain't gonna make any difference. I found that painful to watch 😂
If I was the seller I’d be like Wellp, looks like we got ourselves an old fashioned rock paper scissor battle 😂 anything other than that I’d ask them both to leave.
You shouldn't be buying cards at all, you clearly have absolutely no clue what any of those cards are. If there was anything there of value you'd need to really know your stuff to even recognize it.
I can get how it'd be off putting to sell a collection of things you were once passionate about to someone only interested in purchasing that collection to flip for a profit. No hate meant to anyone involved...but I don't blame the dude for being reluctant here to sell his binder of cards to you for dirt cheap.
Dude... That guy had some really decent yugioh cards. One of those Ultimate rares could have been over $50 depending how those conditions were... Holy shit... As for the Pokemon cards there was nothing there.
I would advise everyone reading this to learn how to be more assertive when dealing with people like that mother. People like her will take advantage of your kindness. As a conscientious person, it can be difficult to learn how to say "no" and confront people in a graceful way, but you have to learn those skills. Otherwise you will be taken advantage of your entire life. Employers take advantage of their less assertive employees as a common example. There are a lot of selfish people out there.
Understatement when it comes to the mom probably talked to the guy to get her kid before purchasing something that her kid did or didn’t want to I advise you look out of the box on that prior arrangements happen most of the time when you tell someone they’d be right back I doubt she went there cause of him
Taken advantage of? They're literally going to yard sales and Goodwills and buying all the nice stuff, leaving actual poor people with Garbage! I wouldn't shed a tear if it was banned tomorrow. ANY eBay scanning should be an immediate trespass from thrift stores.
I will admit to occasionally being the assertive person. Finding and buying luxury goods for pennies on the dollar is my sport. I see other shoppers at thrift stores as my adversary. I have talked people into letting me have their intended purchases, and very probably the shopping cart they are using too. When you find a killer deal immediately pay for it and get it in your car before anyone else realizes what they actually had.
I’m glad you realize that your own words destroyed your chances of buying the cards. Also, no matter what you buy, you need to know your product. The cards in deck box didn’t seem to be in great condition.
You have to understand that for him that collection is important and holds a special place in his heart. To you they were a price tag and he had a lower price for the kid because he wanted someone who appreciated his collection more than someone who is just going to sell it again. It’s hard to sell a collection you’ve been working on for years. I’ve been collecting cards for a long time and I’ve thought about selling a couple times and it’s so hard because it means something to you. I’ve given insanely expensive cards to kids because I know what it’s like to have that rush of getting a good card. A lot of the comments are bashing you without really explaining why it went down the way it did and I’m not bashing you because you didn’t know but when it comes to something like this it’s okay to make an offer etc but just try to remember that whatever you’re handling may be something that means something to them and instead of telling them that you don’t care about it and just want to resell it. Try asking them about it. Watch their eyes light up as they tell you all about how they got this one card when they were like 7 and have kept it all this time. They will be much more likely to sell to you if you are genuinely interested. Even if your plan is to resell just remember the love and care put into these collections and things like that. Treat it like a story time and less of a business deal. You’ll see what I mean
Yeah that is kind of awkward. I don't like conflict but he should have put it to the side if she truly wanted it but will come back. The Yugioh was not worth it IMO

You’re being incredibly disrespectful to that man’s card collection. Stop handing stuff like that.
Dude show some respect when you're flipping through somebody's collections.... Very disrespectful and rude
Shut up
He's selling, any care for them is over. Get your head out of your ass
Also absolutely HATE when resellers try to lower the price on an already GREAT deal. Guy said he was ok with $50 for all the yugioh cards then changed his mind as soon as he saw you wanted all his cards for $60 (after he said the Pokémon were $20). Pathetic
You are totally disrespectful to that seller and you got the nerves to name your videos "Yard sale Karen goes too far"
The cards in question were not yet your property and were considered collectible. Despite this, you handled them roughly while examining them.
The better shape the cards are in, the more they are worth.
It appears that you were more interested in securing a cash deal than in showing respect for the seller and their property.
Your behavior was unprofessional
I urge you to reconsider your approach and conduct yourself in a more respectful and professional manner in the future
And your ego that you have, with its focus on yourself and how you didn't get it cheaper than you did to fill your pocket from his hard work collecting it, tells me how much respect you deserve yourself (NOTHING)
Your self-centered perspective, prioritizing personal gain over fair respect or compensation for the collector's hard work, raises concerns about the level of respect you accord yourself.
You would have profits 📈 anyway
But you were greedy 🤔
All about you, not any care that he needed the money...
What a way you live your life, sir
I hope you are a proud man👏

lol the title of this video totally backfired...yeah...there's no way I am reselling valuable cards I've been collecting since middle school to some old dude who calls them magic cards and handles them like they're worth nothing then talks about being a reseller. If I was the seller, I would've thanked the lady chirping in for helping me come to my senses. 😂
Go look for some other hobby to ruin.
If you kept calling yugioh magic in front of me I wouldn’t have sold it to you at all 😂
He kept calling the hollows shiny that would have pissed me off also, he has no knowledge of what’s in front of him.
He knew exactly what those were he was just acting dumb making it seem like he doesn't know anything about the cards. Then he proceeds to talk to the seller about grading and tcg etc.
never understood the appeal of yugioh...
a card game based on an anime about people playing a version of mtg...
like, why not just play magic?
If he knew nothing about cards, why handle them and flip through them so carelessly, especially when your entire point is to sell them! Presumably to people who actually know what the cards are worth and would clearly take better care of them than you and not handle them like a gorilla. That annoyed me so much as someone who collects things (not cards but everyone who collects is extra careful with what they collect and how they handle it)
Awkward situation indeed. The thing that really got me this video though was the way you treated that man's cards. If I were the seller, I would not have sold you anything after witnessing the vicious way you handled them.
He handled the cards 100% normally. He didn't damage or treat anything of less value than it is. Stop telling people that

Good job on him taking them off.
the way he was grabbing those cards and just shredding through the binder ☠️
She was out of line but I don’t think that factored at all into him not selling them, you talking about flipping on eBay and making more money from them was the sole reason the deal didn’t go through.
I don’t think it was the sole reason. I think her chiming in helped and also him not really wanting to sell them :)
never a good idea to say youre a reseller
Should have whipped out the 20 bucks and bought it ASAP rather than splustering around flicking back and forth through the other card book.
Irish Style, ask a price , agree on a price and boom payment made.
Exactly! Especially as he didn't have a clue about the other cards. Look at it all you want it ain't gonna make any difference. I found that painful to watch 😂
Please dont tell someone about grading and how they took care of cards after you have just tossed them around like garbage.

You shouldn't be buying cards at all, you clearly have absolutely no clue what any of those cards are. If there was anything there of value you'd need to really know your stuff to even recognize it.

Dude... That guy had some really decent yugioh cards. One of those Ultimate rares could have been over $50 depending how those conditions were... Holy shit... As for the Pokemon cards there was nothing there.
Pretty much told the guy you were tossing him $50 bucks for his childhood collection to “learn” the cards as you flip them for a profit.. nice work 🤙🏻
You're the only Karen here.... Learn to hand peoples hings with care, you're rough. Good luck on the channel bud.

Other people can really suck - and it is great you are honest - but less is more! Just negotiate prices and no seller needs to know what you intend to do with anything you buy! Being brutally honest is not always the right route to go! And she was definatley out of line - when I see anything I want I pick it up and hold onto it to prevent issues like this - you already made and offer and he accepted - you should have picked it up right away!
