  • replacing bank 1 camshaft position sensor on. buick 3.6 liter VVT. I misspoke in the video. Bank 1 is the rear bank closest to the vehicle. Bank two is at the front of the engine.Bank 1 and Cylinder 1 always correlate.

You are correct...was thinking of a different vehicle in reference to cylinder 1. Thanks for catching that

Bank 1 is the front of the engine. Bank 2 is the rear. It should fix your issue when they are replaced

When you replace the crankshaft sensor do you have to do the camshaft as well? Getting code p00017 still and won’t start.. cranks over..

P0017 is dealing with a correlation issue between the crankshaft and camshaft sensors....you can try replacing the camshaft sensor also but the bigger issue may be the timing chain may be stretched and slipped. Tooth which would cause the sensors to be out of alignment. It could also be the wiring harness attached to the sensors are damaged. I would start with the camshaft sensor as it is also included on that code. If that's not it you may need to check the wiring and pray it's not a timing chain issue
