ago I have a 2011 Terrain, DTC code p0016. Rough idling, engine power reduce, service stability . I go to start it and it just cranks, seems like the key is stuck in the cranking position. Any thoughts? Thanks, Jim..
Thanks so much for this video. I had a P0010 code and needed to replace my camshaft sensor but no one could seem to tell me where it was. Your video was a lifesaver!
Awesome video, I definitely appreciate you labeling it as a 2.4l eco tec instead of your model car. I would recommend putting some oil around the new o ring
Literally in the exact position, changed out both intake and exhaust solonoids, changed spark plugs, oil and filter, new air filter, cleaned mass sensor, cleaned the throttle control gate. Was okay for awhile until today lol saw that little asshole check engine light pop on , felt like blowing up the car lol thanks for the video and I’ll try this than I’ll update
Tried a different brand with intake and exhaust solenoids and haven’t had a problem so far. Ones I got now are from Riley’s idk if you have a store in your area.
Hi, I did change both sensors, and they are leaking, is they using a sealer or an o ring ?? I already removed them and put it back again, tightening it well, and they are still leaking. I am missing an o ring or sealer?? Help

Crap I wonder if it's a different code for that sensor and the solenoids. I got p0011 bank 1 camshaft position timing advanced beyond limits for predetermined period. This printout from autozone says to buy the solenoid
did your car surge or kinda pulsate forward wen in gear . just asking mine is doing this and it came up camshaft position sensor . i only have 45 k on the car
So I changed the exhaust sensor and not the intake. But the code keeps coming up for a problem on the exhaust sensor. Did I need to change both to have the check engine light come off?
Got a call from a friend last night. Explaining the engine is running rough or stalling. Advance Auto checked the code and CP sensor comes up. She buys the sensor at local Buick dealer. $40. I go to her place and help replace sensor. 1st thing I notice is the oil and thinking is this right? More like a oil pressure sensor. Anyhow, replaced the sensor, she starts the car, light goes out. She's happy. She takes it out for a test run and the same problem returns. Any idea?
@@LehewTech ; Thanks for the quick reply. She said the trouble started right after an oil change. I didn't change the oil. Didn't ask about how many miles on the car though.
I've heard that there are actually two to four camshaft position sensors. Mine is an issue with the exhaust. Is that the one displayed in this video, or is there another one?
The one in this video is the intake cam sensor. The rear one in on the side closest to fire wall. If you jack up the care you can use extensions and a 10 mm socket
I had that same issue when I first started driving mine. You need to change the camshaft solenoid on top. And yes, those where the first things he had mentioned in this video.
@@LehewTech would that be the 2 cylinders intake and exhaust camshaft? Also another code popped up for me and that was the P015A which was the o2 sensor.
These engines have a common problem with the timing chain guides breaking and the timing sprockets seizing. Not saying that's your problem but its likely
Juan Montez I just replaced the crankshaft position sensor on my Chrysler 200 bought it on autozone didn’t work they give another one and it didn’t work either then I bought on on orillys and the car its working great some time sensors comes bad

Hello is there more than one of these the car part store said there was 2
Thanks for your help
Great camera angles , video right to the point

Thanks for watching! I wish you luck in getting your car running @ 100%
Did it fix the problem ?
Chelsea Andrews what car do u have
@@ericangeles1682 I've got the same error, wondering if this fixed it. Car will randomly shut off when idling.
Awesome video, I definitely appreciate you labeling it as a 2.4l eco tec instead of your model car.
I would recommend putting some oil around the new o ring
Excellent video! Can’t believe I was able to do it myself! Thank you!!!!!

Where’s the exhaust one located? Intake one is in the video, but can’t find the exhaust one
Thank You. Glad i found your video that showed me the location.

I don't know how you do it but the video quality is excellent Thank You for this.
Thanks for video I was able to find exactly where it was located and changed it out with replacement
Hello. I received a code saying to replace the crankshaft position sensor. Could you please tell me where that would be located. Thanks
THANK YOU!!!! You just saved me $150!!
Thanks for watching bud

Best video of this I’ve seen. Hope I can change mine as easy as you made it look.
Hi how are you. I know is long time ago. But what code did you get if any... ?
I changed the solenoid exhaust and still code p0014 coming back.
Great video

Great video. Thanks.
Thank you!
Worked for gmc terrain 👍
I'm assuming gm models with 2.4
Bro, thank you so much for this!!
Good video. IMO it was easier to take the sensor out before disconnecting it.
Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much
Is it the same for a 2014 buick lacrosse. And do I have to get it programmed
Worked for my 2013 Buick LaCrosse code P0014 camshaft position sensor
Is that the same place for Buick regal GS
can oil come spoil out of camshaft sensors
awesome video!!!
Thanks for this video! 👍
Good video Thanks
did your car surge or kinda pulsate forward wen in gear . just asking mine is doing this and it came up camshaft position sensor . i only have 45 k on the car
I replaced this sensor because of a check engine light code P0340
Grekilo my vehicle has been doing the same thing and that’s what mine came up as. Any luck?
mine turned out to be the timing chain was streatched . it was making a noise at low rpms . @@leasiaallen7530
I have regal doing the jerking forward when idling, low power, stalls... Did you have to replace the timing chain??
@@tracygoff4542 yes we did have to replace the timing chain.
Thanks bro very helpful
Was getting the P0340 code so I changed the variable timing solenoids. Code came back so now gonna try the sensors.......
Thank you, I appreciate you. 🙌🏼👏🏼👍🏼🤘🏼
Do you need to reset the computer after changing it??
No
So I changed the exhaust sensor and not the intake. But the code keeps coming up for a problem on the exhaust sensor. Did I need to change both to have the check engine light come off?
No you probably have a timing issue
Will this also work on a 2016 Buick Verano?
The car is the same from 2012-2017

Yeah, these Engines are notorious for breaking chain guides and sticking sprockets. Did you check the oil level?

This sounds like the same problem I'm having with my 2016 Equinox. Can you tell me what the problem was?
Would this fix DTC P0011??
Is it the same on a2016?
That bolt is a pain to get but great video.

ua-cam.com/video/WPp4VoLPEKg/v-deo.html. Here is a video for the rear.
I lost the bolt. Can you advise what size I need. 2014 Buick verano 2.4
It's a 10 mm short bolt real common
Does anyone know where this sensor is on the regal ?
I am having a really hard time trying to disconnect the sensor
Cool
It’s showing me code p0010 the car stalls and turns off on me? It says the bank 1 intake sensor. Those will be the ones on top correct?
Its the same one in video not the ones on top but replacing them all will be good tho

Hey what was ur actual problem I have the same car running rich p0172
and the "engine reduced power" sign on the dash board?
what size wrench for this 10 mm not working. PLZ HELP!
Yes it's a 10mm
Is this the same for the 2.4l 2013 equinox?
I believe it is
Did you unplug the battery?
No
Sounds good thank you!
Is this the same engine on 2014 regal?
Yea think so
I changed both of the sensors and it’s still giving me P0013 but now it’s also saying P0014
@UncleSkoden701 how you fixed?
I got a P0010 code but my car is a 2014 buick verano 2.4 liter...will it be in the same spot??? Please respond.
You should change the actuator to address that code and not the sensor. The last Verano i fixed required new cam phasers and timing chain guides
@@LehewTech would that be the 2 cylinders intake and exhaust camshaft? Also another code popped up for me and that was the P015A which was the o2 sensor.
I would change the intake camshaft solenoid, clear the codes then test drive
