Greetings from Reno, Nevada.
Greetings from Houston,Texas!!!
Appreciate your knowledge brother. Love from New Zealand Jan 5 2025
Thank you much appreciated!! Glad to see we are in New Zealand. You just made my day sir!!
Thank you i am going to try at home
You gott it!!
Solid tutorial! I was a bit unsure about the alignment pins but it looks like it's not bad getting them out and reinstalled. About to do this on my friend's 2020 GLC300. Thank you!
Thank you for your comment and glad to hekp
Be nice to tell witch is a or b thanks for wasting my time tho
My apologies. I was not locked in properly when i did this video. Bank 1 is going to be wherever cylinder 1 is in the vehicle. Hope that helps and thank you for stopping by!!
1 and A are the same when referring to banks
A would be the one closest to the vehicle in this situation
Easier just to take off intake
Easier for me to do it the way I did it...and less time. To each his own though.. whatever works
Good video, but my motor on my 07 Denali is locked. Think there enough room to pull motor and trans ?
It'll be really tight but I believe it can be done as long as you remove the condenser
@ But even if I removed the engine with the transmission. Wouldn’t the motor still be locked? Meaning I still wouldn’t be able to get to the torque bolts cause it won’t be able to move. So what’s the point removing of removing the trans?
@Cmimss you can remove the engine and then remove the oil pan. The. You can remove the bearing from the crankshaft m that should allow you to turn the engine to get the torque converter off. Lot of work but will save you a torque converter for the new engine
The transmission will come off without the torque converter
@@wedoitall7676 Dam I only owe $4,000 on it. Might just trade it in and then wont have to worry about a Motor replacement lol Already got 400,000 Miles ON her. My Denali on my Channel if you wanna see how it looks.
I came here after telling someone how much of a pain it was to replace one of these alternators and the video did not disappoint!! Years ago a shop I towed cars for sold me one of these pieces of garbage for $500. Said nothing was wrong with it, besides it just needed an alternator. Aw it’s not too hard. Hook. Line. Sinker. 🗑️
It's definitely a pain and I'm glad it's the only one I've seen to date...lol
Hey what was the reason you took off the oil pressure censor was it because the car was cutting off randomly?
Car had a code for it and the gauge was not registering
This is the best video I've found so far. Thanks a lot man!
Glad to help.. no problem at all
Where did you get the spark plugs and coils bro ? Can you drop a link ?
Thank you!
You're absolutely welcome
Even the camshaft sensors are tough to get to. I had to take off whole motor mount not just top. Then I had to move hose out of the way, still had a hard time getting the 2nd sensor out (toward rear of engine), because it's top was almost hidden behind some type of plate. When I finally pulled it out it broke off and some of the plastic with wires remained stuck to walls in the hole. Tried using a screwdriver and ice pick to scrape and pick it out, some pieces came out, but some were really stuck. Eventually had to drill it out. Hope it does not mess up sensitivity to sensor? Anyway, got dark, my flashlight died, and I was tired. Will finish tomorrow. Hope it still works, but obviously the old one did not! Thanks, a lot more detail than one would think so thanks for the video-TRULY helpful!!!
Why is there no room to take out sensors? Looks like the bottom of the motor mount is in the way. I got screw out - it fell down somewhere, and I have no room to pull out Sensor?
You may have to use a jack and jack up the engine via the oil pan. I've never had to replace the crank sensor but if there is no room release the motor mount and jack the engine up carefully. Hope that helps
@@wedoitall7676 Thanks. For the crankshaft sensor that is what I need to do next, even with a long flexible extension it is just very hard to get to, absolutely no room to work. But that is a good suggestion I will try.
Have you done any mods to it ? hopefully I’m buying one tomorrow. I got the REDCAT gold digger 64 n I bought from JEVRIES the convertible removable top n convertible boot for it
I've done a ton of mods. I will take a video and post it when I have time.
Skunk hobbies ships fast and has most of the parts l. R/C kustom lowriders has a lot of parts too but shipping can be a little slow
Wish I could post a picture for you
I got a custom interior from Jose Silva on FB. I added the light kit and underglow kit as well. I also got custom graphics painted on it at a local car show. It has a sticker kit and a custom drive shaft. Also got longer shocks
@@wedoitall7676 yeah I’ve done some mods on the REDCAT lowriders I have as well, minor stuff like added the light kits & the JEVRIES true13 gold wheels I don’t post much videos on utube of them, I don’t got uploading utube skills, plus I’m trying to build my RC work table section at my house, right now I work off the dining room table
Thank you for doing this video. It was helpful
Glad to help!!
Thank you. The cam sensors I can get to, the crank sensor even with a flexible extension is basically impossible, at least improbable. Just no room to work especially laying beneath vehicle?
is Camshaft sensor and crankshaft sensor the same? Because other videos show that you need to go underneath the vehicle and it's in a place that is almost unreachable!
They are different
Haven't had the pleasure of changing a crankshaft sensor yet
Cam sensors are usually more on top, crank sensors usually are accessed from the bottom. They are different and they work in correlation for your vehicles timing

What size gauge for the fusible link? Does it matter?
I believe I used 12 or 10. Wanted something big enough to handle the current
@@wedoitall7676 you think 14 would be too big?
And are the wires that mesh with fusible link 10gauge?
@@1dfgbj I don't think it will be too big at all
@@wedoitall7676 ok great any suggestions on length
Thanks for the video, good job explaining and showing!
Glad to help..thanks for supporting the channel!!
This works so good they should Patien it. I was unable to ride it.. Now it's better with the bull crap governor messing up some how because this is the trick of the treat great work of the month for posting this amount ideal 😮
Thanks for the comment and I'm glad to help....not sure why they make them the way they do but we can find ways to make them better imo
This is so sweet. And so easy it's worth ever min
Good video, did you have to bleed the radiator?
Didn't have to bleed the radiator. Minimal antifreeze was lost during replacement
Awesome job!
Thank you. I appreciate it!!
Did this 17yrs ago.... Now imagine doing all of this and the alternator was not the problem but the ANL fuse behind the engine near the firewall was blown and was the problem. Not a basic fuse and nothing about it in the basic manual on there being a second alternator fuse.
That experience would be absolutely horrible. This alternator is not for the weak of heart and to find out it wasn't the problem after changing it would be devastating..lol
Thank you this worked great 🙏
Glad to help!!, no problem
Camera did not help moving around
My apologies
Thanks for showing that off. My 2006 Acura TL battery isn't charging correctly after the car got soaked with rain (2x unfortunately). Would this likely be an alternator problem, or could it be an issue with the wiring or something else?
If the alternator got soaked ..it could definitely be the problem. Stop.by one of your local part stores and have them run a free check in it to be sure
@@wedoitall7676 Thx - does it have to be removed to run the test?
@@cookedaudio no sir. They'll test it through the battery with a machine
@@wedoitall7676 Well awesome. Thx, maybe I'll give this one a try 🙂

I appreciate this video. Thank you.

Bank 1 Is in the Back
Yes sir...it's been addressed. Thank you
The ol late 80s Toyota loved their alternator fusible links too. This definitely helps. Thanks!
No problem at all boss
Do you have the part number for the axle replacements -
No I don't . I went to a lawnmower salvage yard and picked it up. Sorry about thta
I replaced the whole transmission assembly. I took the part number from the transmission and found the axles online
Bendex
My rear is doing the same thing . How does one know if it’s the compressor or the fuse that powers the compressor
The fuse or relay is the first place to start. Test them to ensure they have continuity. Then I would use a 12 volt source to power up the compressor at the connection to see if it powers up. Using a 12 volt connection to check compressor at the plug is probably your best bet
We changed the water pump and now we have a fuel leak any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks
Sorry for the delay. I didn't get a notification from UA-cam. Your fuel leak may be the line at 8:25 or one of the o-rings on the injectors. You have to ensure that when you re-install those injectors are seated all the way back in firmly. Those are the only things fuel system wise that I removed
dont look so easy but the dealer wants like $2000, Peace
If you take your time it's really not that bad but I understand that different people have different levels of skill so a shop may be your best bet.
Do I need a special socket for the oil sensor
For this method....yes you do. I explained it in the video so you can have a better idea
Going to buy one from autozone because I got one from the Nissan dealer and the damn curve on the line sent it no where near where I’m supposed to screw it on man smh
That's unfortunate...maybe they gave you the wrong one. Hopefully you can get it squared away. Good luck
You da man! Thanks!! 🫡
No problem at all!!!
Thanks my brother
No problem at all!!
Good video, thanks for uploading. I'm going to be swapping out my 5.3 with a cammed 6.0, and your video is helping with a game-plan. I'm going to cheat by using exhaust manifold studs (Dorman 03411HP) on the 6.0 heads so it won't matter if all the 5.3 exhaust manifold bolts break. Also, as a tip, it is usually easier to reach the top bell-housing bolts by pulling the two cylinder heads from the block in the vehicle. I got some ARP head bolts (ARP 134-3610) so I don't have to deal with OEM torque-to-yield sequences after dropping the short-block in the frame, then bolting down the cylinder heads.
Great info. Thanks for sharing and thanks for allowing me to help you. Good luck with the swap. Sounds like you will kill it
