Do I need a special socket for the oil sensor
For this method....yes you do. I explained it in the video so you can have a better idea
Going to buy one from autozone because I got one from the Nissan dealer and the damn curve on the line sent it no where near where I’m supposed to screw it on man smh
That's unfortunate...maybe they gave you the wrong one. Hopefully you can get it squared away. Good luck
You da man! Thanks!! 🫡
No problem at all!!!
Thanks my brother
No problem at all!!
Good video, thanks for uploading. I'm going to be swapping out my 5.3 with a cammed 6.0, and your video is helping with a game-plan. I'm going to cheat by using exhaust manifold studs (Dorman 03411HP) on the 6.0 heads so it won't matter if all the 5.3 exhaust manifold bolts break. Also, as a tip, it is usually easier to reach the top bell-housing bolts by pulling the two cylinder heads from the block in the vehicle. I got some ARP head bolts (ARP 134-3610) so I don't have to deal with OEM torque-to-yield sequences after dropping the short-block in the frame, then bolting down the cylinder heads.
Great info. Thanks for sharing and thanks for allowing me to help you. Good luck with the swap. Sounds like you will kill it
tankYou brother
No problem at all boss
This is a good video. The only thing I would change is the throttle body removal. Instead of disconnecting coolant lines it is better to remove 4 bolts and remove it from the manifold, and move it out of the way. This will require a new $5 gasket but seems easier to do. As I remember correctly torque is 10 Nm. Cheers!
I agree with you completely. When I told the customer the gasket was $8.00 they declined and said I could use water to fill the excess...lol
Extremely helpful to a first time BMW owner, this video was well detailed and relatable to me. I felt as though I was learning from my big brother again. Well done Sir
Glad to be of service to you. Thank you for your kind comment. I appreciate you!!!
Thanks brother
No problem
You are the GOAT.
No...you are !! Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate you!!!
Thank you My Brother
You are welcome sir
I thought bank one is at the back and bank two is at the from from the engine diagram
Did the cart begin starting after new starter was replaced ?
Yes..started right up
Do you have a part number for that gasket?
LG691917
How you get the screw to get on the hole
Not really understanding your question
@@wedoitall7676 the screw to rack in pinion mine tight and won’t go over the hole it go right beside but me and 4 other people can’t get it to go I see a lot of people taking off the heat shield bracket with the car jacked I was trying to do it from the top
@martinstilltz638 heat shield should come off..I got it from the bottom
@@wedoitall7676 ok
I'm glad I saw this video thank you so much dude God bless you
God bless you also. Thanks for stopping by!!
Excellent video! I was looking for solution for my ztrak not shutting off with key (think it’s my ground disconnected from stator), and found out how to fix my exhaust leak!!! Thanks😊
Glad to help. You are appreciated!!
I'm having the exact same problem right now.. I tried a quick fuel filter swap and it was 'perfect' for 10-15 minutes and then started 'dying' again.. Really appreciate the video!
No problem at all. Glad to help!!
Oil pressure switch? Same thing?
Yes. Sorry..I haven't been getting notifications
I have a question I have to remove the converter bolts, right
Absolutely. Sorry I haven't been getting notifications
Thanks bro, i used this method for tie rod bushings on a intrepid but wouldn't have tried on my own without your video. Man its tight
Truly appreciate you. Glad it worked out!!
Yo man, got a question. I’m changing the temperature coolant sensors on my vw cc 2010. I changed the first one which is on the lower radiator hose. But I can’t for the life of me find the second one. I was going to ask if the second one is the one that’s on the water pump there that’s showing at 14:05. The little connected in between the 2 bolts that u took off
I believe it is. I apologize for the late response...haven't been getting notifications from UA-cam
You didn't show us if it work or not
It worked like a champ sir. Problem with this vehicle was the reference from the pcm was.not ative therefore the fans were not coming on. This is an issue that is not common. The fans or the.fan controller are normal issues. Sorry for the late response. UA-cam notifications weren't working
Outstanding my dude, All the video's and post's I have seen had the intake manifold removed. going to go out and give this route a try thanks.
Glad we could help. Have a blessed day!!
I must say you where very informative in this video with a direct understanding for the"do it yourself" individuals. Keep up the good work👍🏾
Thank you. Sorry for the late response..haven't been getting notifications
Thanks mah…. Very informative!!!🤙same fix on mine ….
Absolutely
I have a ariens wonder If the same since it's made by gravely
Should be similar
Can you tell me a good replacement for the brackets that’s on the high low power steering lines because the originals don’t come off and the new lines don’t come with brackets
Slid it out through the driver side by tilting it forward
How did you pull it out I don’t have enough clearance
How big is your compressor?
I have 2...I have a ryobi 150 psi compressor that I take on the road...pretty small one. At the house I have a husky 200 psi and it raises cars with no effort...the ryobi may take 2 cycles but it does the job
@wedoitall7676 thanks for the info.
What is be the same issue on the Cobalt 2010 lt
Im not sure sir...It definitely could be though
@@wedoitall7676 yeah the car has been sent in the field for 2 years I got it off of sibling, at first it was dying out. So I just change the battery in the alternator still have the same issue 10 proceeded to follow the wire harness and fix the broken wires that run across the oil filter, clean all the grounds So this should be my problem hopefully, anyways thank you for the video
Way to go excellent video straight to the point I have a 2001 cl and UA-cam has taught me so much mine was slow to start and no temp gage got on you tube typed in no start no temp gage listed engine coolant sensor advance not even a mile back on the road in about an hour again great video keeping making videos I can keep my 22 year old cl on the road little longer I've had car 8yrs bought from estate sale for 2200
I love the old acuras/hondas..they are great vehicles. Seems like you got a good one. Thanks for coming by and watching...it's much appreciated
How many bolts to the transmission to block? I’ve taken out 6 so far. Good video
It's been a while but I believe it was six or seven.....sorry I couldn't be more specific but that trucks been gone a long time
Only one side is sagging on mine (passenger rear) just from the knowledge you have with this type of situation. What would you think it could be? I haven't gone back and listened or checked anything just yet. Just looked stuff online and seen it could be the solenoid, pump, or shock. Thoughts?
how did you get the new valve seal in. i need to remove mine (same as you show here), which im fighting now. i can only image how to put the new one in.
I pit a little oil on the outside and tapped them in by going around the seal with a Hanmer...took a while but i got it
Love the DIY Help video, but one critical step some noobies might be missing here when dealing with any gaskets. Get any pieces of the old gasket off with a razor blade and then sand down both of the connecting surfaces. Wether it's the electronic throttle body gasket of a new Hellcat or a carb on a John Deere. Sand it so the new gasket seals like FACTORY! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Absolutely
Just what i needed to see i knew mine was in the back i could hear it trying to work and its bad
Glad to help....hope you can get it going!!
@@wedoitall7676 I hope I can too and not give the money to the shop I can hear it trying to work evertime i start my car so im sure that's my main problem I need to apply myself watch your video a few more times get my own part and try it
@@scottjones7689 if you can hear it working...you my have a blown shock or a broken airline. The pump appears.to be working from your description
@@wedoitall7676 what's the best way to check for those things myself or should I just take it in to shop
@@wedoitall7676 the airline sounds like it would be a possibility wonder if I knocked it loose changing my battery 🤔
How much will it cost to replace a oil sensor switch
It all depends on where you get it done. The sensor is between 40 and 60 and labor could be between 100 and 150. Everyone has different prices
Best video iv seen. Love how you explain everything. Nice work!
Thank you so much...be blessed
Thanks for the video! Do you have to change the fuel pump in this engines?
Only if fuel is not getting to the carburetor. I did not change it
Was your car cranking but not starting is that the reason why you changed the crankshaft position sensor?
This specific car had a code that showed the sensor was bad. A crank no start is also a symptom
@@wedoitall7676was it a p0017 code? Mine is giving me that code with no check engine im thinking maybe the same sensor needs to he changed?
@@killsquad8232 not sure...was a while ago..sorry about that
What is the most common cause of P0017? The camshaft, crankshaft, and sparks all need to be working in perfect sync for the engine to function properly. The P0017 error code indicates that there is a problem with the synchronization of these parts. The error code P0017 specifically refers to Bank 1 Sensor B.
Thank you, thank you, I love this!!! Appreciate your help
No problem at all
So was it reading reduce engine power? I having the same issue i think but my alternator is new so is my battery and im just getting very frustrated at this point
It was not charging when it came to ne was all I remember. Reduced engine power normally won't cone from a charging system error. A scan tool should be able to help out with that
The fusible link wire from the starter to the alternator as you explained in your video will it cause my power steering fuse (60A) and my body control module(bcm 30A) keeps blowing
Also where do I have to splice the wire to and from do you have a video or picture showing how you did yours I just want to make sure I'm doing it right please and than you
@@jeanmaldonado7504 I doubt it. It is directly fitted from the battery to the starter to the alternator
@@jeanmaldonado7504 all I have is what's in the video. You can see where the wire changes form when you take it out...that's where you will need to splice. It's a different feel and look than the normal wire
Bank 1 is in the back
You are correct...was thinking of a different vehicle in reference to cylinder 1. Thanks for catching that
Sorry paul god has a plan for you for sure
Have a 07 Cobalt. Had the non charging issue like the HHR. I watched and spliced the wire as you described. The voltage went from 12.7 volts to 14. 5 after I rewired the cable. After two alternators, 2 belts and two months of stress, we finally have the car fixed! Thank you so much for sharing your work! I subscribed and gave a thumbs up!
I truly appreciate you. Glad you were able to get it fixed!!
Rotate the damn phone dude!
No need for the attitude bud..ik doing most of my work with one hand and it's convenient for me...I will try to do better but the information is there if you need it. Have a blessed day
U didn’t address the small spring and ball bearing falling out. For the shifter
You're right. Because I replaced it versus putting it back together I Iverson looked that. I believe the ball goes in first with the spring on top in the shifter hole. You can can adjust a hard shift with it bit it's not needed. Have a blessed day!!
Can you show in mre detail how you made the new wire? Or is this something I can order on-line or at the dealership?
Sorry...that cat has been gone for a while. It's really just a matter of joining the fusible link to the wire that runs from the battery to the starter. I'm not sure if it's a dealer item.
Did you disconnect the battery first?
Yes...though it's not on camera..I disconnect the battery on 80 percent of the jobs I do
