    Gaming peripherals have become a consumerist hellscape.
    No, you don't need a 4k/8k sensor. Your CPU is gonna shit itself and 1kHz polling is still the standard for most game engines.
    No, you don't need $100+ IEMs. Stick with the current earbuds or headphones you got. Maybe download an equalizer if you need to, and learn the games audio cues.
    You can still make it to high elo on 1080p 144Hz.
    Sleeves are only useful on hybrid, or hard pads.
    The only mainstream peripheral I'll ever vouch for is Wooting. (Even then, you'll still find close HE competitors.)
    Glad there's chinese manufacturers that are producing at REASONABLE prices.

      I'm pinning this comment because you are 100% correct.
      Most of what we see in peripherals now is all marketing. These are the hard truths a lot of gamers need to hear. When I first started playing Counter-Strike (with a ball mouse in the early 2000's), all that mattered was raw skill.
      Peripherals have gotten so advanced that even with cheaper ones, the only thing that will ever stand in your way is yourself, never the gear.
      Here's to hoping for a reasonably priced future 🍻
      .
      .
      .
      and yah, Wooting is awesome

      Yup, I hate it when companies advertise their mouse as “8k” or some other stuff, only thing you’ll need to advertise is the shape, weight and feel. Polling rate is just a marketing trap

      >skull candies
      n o
      yes, you dont need 100$+ iems.. but do not use fucking skull candies lmfao.
      as for cpu shitting itself.. i have an 8k polling rate on my mouse, it barely impacts my cpu usage.
      ontop of that.. tech is fun? let people enjoy things lol

      @@jayjaygolden5123 Yes, tech is fun...
      Until we see both companies and influencers make blind and deaf decisions that ultimately screw the consumer over. And the market becomes over saturated with regular goods at exorbitant prices.
      (With no in-between for the AVERAGE gamer still fragging out on his/her 7+ year old mid-range build. The average gamer that gets their peripherals from distributors/retailers inside their country cause shipping costs are too much. The average gamer that still relies on their parent's hard-earned dollar.)
      The gaming mice market is an example of just that.

    Another thing to consider about products is the scrap rate and QC, bigger brands probably have higher QC standards and a lower scrap rate when mice come off the production line. But Aliexpress mice can probably justify accepting more of a lottery in terms of QC so that they can have a lower scrap rate, and make up for it by reduced final costs to the consumer.

    • @dn9981
      @dn9981 12 днів тому

      I'd say that is negligible in the grand scheme. Big brand markups like Logitech's are many times the cost of production. It also does not apply if you own the manufacturing process and the distributing brand.

    Bought it on March 2024 worked really well on cable, had precision issues with its 2.4 dongle so I used it mainly wired when playing. Was fine until yesterday when I turned on my pc every time I click it freezes for a second or two have no idea why, tried everything drivers and everything even opened it to see inside if it had an issue and cleaned it but still nothing. When I use cable it freezes when I use the three top buttons (right, left and wheel button) side buttons work normally. Also when using it wireless it doesn't freeze when I click but have to click multiple times for it to response, tried different cable same thing so it's no the cable..
    Searched online no one had this issue even with other brands it's so weird especially when it was perfectly fine when I turned off my PC the previous night, by the morning it was broken by it self..

I have both the x85 keyboard and x3 wireless mouse. bang for the buck cant go wrong. attack shark support is way better & was open with me from the start that they were producing other mice under different names. I'll still be buying products from them in the future as long as they are around.

As far as I can tell you, Pulsar custom makes some of their components (encoder) and boards. They hand sculpt the mouse shapes by clay and then refine it digitally.They’re currently trying to bring all production to South Korea. I think the Kysona factory may of just be cloning the pulsar bottom plate.

    Are we being ripped off by brands like Logitech and Razer? Yes and no.
    No because we also pay for the R&D costs as well as the people that work there (looking at Singapore HQ). Yes in a sense that they are selling their mice way way higher than what it’s actually valued.
    It’s good to have Chinese companies keeping these guys in check once in a while.

    This video definitely deserves more views. Should be a wakeup call for Logitech to know that people out there are not as gullible as they think. They really need to come up with better products, like their keyboard scenario where they have fallen out the most, if they really intend to keep their customers coming back for more of their products. BUT, having said that, these brands in this video are originally from China - and that says a lot already just by itself. We will never know how they made a product this good AND this cheap. I would love to buy these, but personally would prefer brands just to be on the safe side.

  • @TheBigGiant_SpaceChiken

    Yes, we are absolutely getting ripped off by the mayor brands. In February I bought on AliExpress the Dareu A955 Wireless mouse with a charging doc for $35 bucks and I love it. I use my PC at least 10 hours a day, if not more sometimes and the battery easily lasts me 8 days before I have to place it on the doc. The sensor, switches (rated for 80 million clicks) and scroll wheel are great too. If you haven´t reviewed this mouse, I think you should give it a try.
    I bought it to replace a SteelSeries Rival 3 I bought in January. Why? Because the damn scroll wheel started to fail in less than a month...on a $60 dollar mouse from a ¨reputable¨ big brand!! Plus the battery life on the two AAA batteries is abismal. Using the 2.4 Ghz dongle they only lasted me 7 days before it needed new ones. The 400 hour claimed battery life will only happen if you use it exclusively on bluetooth. I will never buy a mouse from one of the mayor gaming brands again, that´s for damn sure. Great video BTW!

    • @TheRageAcademy
      @TheRageAcademy  5 місяців тому +1

      Bro, do I have a story for you. I owned 4
      FOUR SteelSeries Rival 3’s!!!
      I kept getting new ones from the RMA’s because the mouse switches kept dying. The grossest thing about SteelSeries practices are they don’t have you send the mouse in to be repaired or serviced, they DEMAND a video of you destroying the mouse! Only adding to the tech-waste problem the world is facing. After that experience, I am never ever trusting SteelSeries again. It’s clear their allegiance isn’t to gamers or to the environment but to greedy shareholders.
      I’m glad you got away from SteelSeries too!

    • @TheBigGiant_SpaceChiken
      @TheBigGiant_SpaceChiken 5 місяців тому

      @@TheRageAcademy I totally get what you´re saying! They advertise that their switches last 60 million clicks. That´s the reason that I originally got it, because I wanted to replace my old G305 that has switches that only last 10 million clicks. And now you´re telling me that their switches kept going bad on you, on three mice no less!!
      SteelSeries is such a fraud as a company. Your switches kept going bad, my scroll wheel died after just one month and a friend of mine bought one of their RGB mouse pads last year and the RGB died in less than two months also.
      Nowadays, I trust companies like Dareu and Attack Shark more than the big name companies.

    Online reviews for this mouse suggest the Achilles heel is the sensor. Apparently it starts skipping after some use, making it unreliable in a competitive setting.

    rather than simply getting ripped off, when you do your manufacturing in an outside facility, they get the knowledge and experience, (in china, sometimes the blueprints too) so then they can just make their own version after a while, and because in places like china where every factory is basically sitting next to it's partner factory, they have lower logistics costs.

    It was actually an interesting video, thanks. I am a marketing victim who has lost hundreds, if not thousands, on mice. I have the G Pro Wireless, three GPXes (wondering why? Because they die after six months, fml), bought the SL2 (scam deluxe, honestly), bought the Lamzu Atlantis (not bad, but the shape isn’t for me and the clicks are too soft), bought the U2 (extremely soft clicks-I can’t; I hold my mouse palm grip when aiming and I press right click when shooting, and the gun doesn’t shoot). And now I’ve purchased the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro hoping that it wouldn`t have the same issues as other mice.
    I’m just trying to find something that doesn’t creak (GPX2), doesn’t have extremely soft buttons (U2, Lamzu), and has the battery properly glued to the shell (GPXes).
