I know your favorite color! But don’t worry - your secret is safe with me. 😁 Keep up the positivity and the great videos, Tom. I appreciate you and your channel!
big fan of your style, Tom. I can really tell how genuine you are being in every single video, and that is a huge deal. Thanks so much for the great content!
Hey Tom! Got a couple of fun questions if you feel like answering. 1.) what e-reader do you use? 2.) do you listen to books while at work? (Don’t worry, I’m not your boss 😅) 3.) who’s your favorite Pokémon? Book tags are so fun!
I have just a regular kindle that I got one sale. No not really. I would get way to distracted from either work or the book. I do listen on my lunch breaks. My favorite pokemon is Arcanine!
So well spoken answering each question! I love how you explained your stance on videos for the views. It’s so hard to get used to talking to the camera, but I would never know it in your case! 😊
I already commented here, but I just finished Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury and I couldn't wait until your next video to talk about it. Have you read it? I feel like it checks a lot of boxes for what you like. It's an interconnected series of short stories set in a small town with the underlying narrative being a coming-of-age story for two brothers. It's the first book I've ever immediately thought "This is my book of the year" as soon as I was done with it. Truly a phenomenal book.
Great job, Tom! These were fun questions to hear your answers to. :) But I think the question you avoided needs to be answered: How many orange shirts do you own?
I love that you have a sense of self and are not trying to copy anyone else. Authenticity is truly what brings a following to any UA-cam channel. Keep up the good work! P.S. I love this tag too, and I’m not sure why lol.
I've been enjoying this tag going around, and I loved hearing your answers! I feel you on the separating art from artist struggle, sometimes it's so hard to gauge where to draw the line, especially if you already loved an author before they are 'exposed' lol. A nosy question from me: are there any books that you have changed your mind on over time (either positively or negatively), so that you'd rather delete your review now because it doesn't reflect your feelings anymore? Cheers!!
So it does depend on the video itself a little bit but in general: Making some light notes - 10ish minutes Setting up/taking thumbnail picture - 5 minutes Filming itself - If the video is 10 minutes I probably record closer to 15 minutes editing - however long the video is plus probably 50% depending on how many cuts and pictures Creating the thumbnail - 10 minutes actually uploading with title and description - 5 minutes
Great video! Your channel is one of my favorites. Keep being yourself and making great content. It was cool to hear that you are in the CS world. I'm in IT myself.
Is listening to an audio book really the same thing as reading the actual book? I've listened to, and enjoyed, several audio books but I'm not sure I could claim to have read the book. On the flip side, I probably won't read the book as I've already listened to the audio book. So are they the same? Maybe, maybe not!
Technically listening is not reading. They are two different actions. However, they lead to the same end so I always say I’ve read what ever book. To me no matter how you go the words it all counts!
In regard to question #2: I’m reading a King book at the moment but I skipped Holly. I heard from multiple people that he gets really political around a certain virus/masking in that book. I don’t mind his ‘old man twitter rants’ but I’ll be damned if I’m going to buy a book to be lectured by him.
The video he finally admits he's Clark Kent.
Just wait till I start wearing my glasses
I was thinking if his UA-cam career doesn't work out and he can sing he's a dead-ringer for Freddie of Queen, not Krueger.
I am starting some booktube drama RIGHT NOW, how dare you flaunt that mustache at all of us, unreasonable
🤣
The mustache is just better than everyone else lol
I saw the title and thought you were about to confess you don’t actually like orange all that much 🍊 😂
I actually thought about wearing a different color shirt in this one lol
That would have been a good joke 😂 @@TomOrange

Best wishes with your channel Tom and with what you are reading.
Thanks and same to you!

Thanks Johanna! I know the video for views can really get people going

I have not read it but with that endorsement I may need to pick it up soon
Great job, Tom! These were fun questions to hear your answers to. :)
But I think the question you avoided needs to be answered:

Nice! 😂😂😂
That is a good question! I believe I have about 15.
@@TomOrange I think that is some type of record! ;)

My feelings on some books has changed but I dont mind keeping the review up for them. They are kind of a snapshot of how I felt at the time.
@@TomOrange Love to hear that, no need to feel 'ashamed' of your first experience with a book, even if it's changed :)
Love the vid! How long would it take you to make your videos (apart from the recent vlog) from start to finish? With the filming, editing and all :)

As a gymgoer and a fantasy fan, how much du you bench? :)
My best bench is 345 paused powerlifting style.
@@TomOrange nice! That’s pretty good!
How many Orange t shirts do you own?
About 15

I feel you on that. I have read a few books that made me think the author thought they were better than others and that can be off putting for sure.
Wait! Is your favourite colour orange?! BRUH!
It’s a secret!
How many children does michael jackson has to touch, for me to not like Thriller?.... i think bill burr or chapelle has a joke on that
I have heard a joke along those lines before!
