The guy in the beginning bothering Daniel at the restaurant was an agent from the Talamasca. They're a top secret agency following vampires through the centuries. I was really excited to see that they're starting to bring them in here. That gives me hopes for future seasons adapting Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned! 🤞

100% correct. In the books Louis and Armand often lie to others and even to themselves whereas Lestat, whatever his faults, is at least painfully honest.
You can't blame Claudia for not believing Lestat. He was nothing but manipulative and abusive to both her and Louis. No one would believe someone whose been controlling and abusive to them. She probably thought he was saying that to control them and keep her and Louis from leaving him.
Armand has once said that lestat is his greatest love, its just that its very one-sided. Armand has said: "I would be your most faithful counsellor if you let me, but you don't. I have loved you more than louis, I have loved you more even than marius." And lestat doesn't really care about him. That's why Armand said what he said (although he very much is not over lestat at that point and I doubt he ever will be)
This is such a great episode. Getting more of Lestat's backstory and seeing him and Armand together for the first time was pulled off very well. Ben Daniels is still killing it as Santiago. I love the introduction of Raglan James finally! James is part of an organization that keeps track of supernatural and immortal beings around the world. They're very interesting as well. Sam Reid as Lestat is genuis casting!
Sam Reid has a face of an angel but he has lost weight since the first season. He had a big part in a historical movie called BELLE. It is based on a true story. I liked it so much I bought a DVD from eBay for just under $6.
This show has no right being this good. My gosh, every frame is a masterpiece of storytelling. Sam Reid is so beautiful he's almost painful to watch. Another great reaction!
My predictions (NOT spoilers, I don’t have any screeners and I’m only half way through the first book): 1. “Real Rashid” is a vampire, not a human (based on him wearing GLOVES like Armand was in S1) 2. “Real Rashid” was one of the four previous writers who tried to write this and was made either dead or undead, per the guy in the restaurant talking to Daniel 3. Based on the coven rule that vampires can’t reveal themselves to humans, Daniel will be turned into a vampire (even though he said he doesn’t want it in S1) 4. Claudia will be “guilty” of breaking, being an accomplice to breaking, or the consequence of another breaking all five coven laws 5. Since Armand told Lestat he’d be able to have certain power based on his maker, Louis will end up getting all the same powers Lestat has (I’m thinking maybe he can already pause time in the modern timeline, and was either lying that he doesn’t have the cloud gift OR that he’ll get the cloud gift after he’s aged a bit more)
I think they will punish Claudia for killing Bruce ..the missing pages of her diary will come into play ...because the coven knows that Lestat did not have the true death .....because there is a big reason they have made Bruce important in this remake
Spoiler.... Armand is lying his cute little butt off. At least in the books, Armand didn't LET Lestat do anything, he didn't kick Lestat's butt, it was the other way around, and Armand had it coming too after trying to kill Lestat, in the most manipulative way too, and Armand was the one who killed his own coven members, burning them alive after Lestat destroyed it; he lost his marbles until he eventually joined the theater. Also, there's no way in hell Lestat would ever pick him over Nicki, and while we are at it; Lestat did not leave Nicki, Nicki dumped Lestat. Or the coven for that matter, he destroyed their old ways and then took responsibility for it, helped create the new theater coven for the survivors, got them up and running and supplied them with the funds to run it indefinitely; he didn't leave Armand with nothing, he made sure to give them all a reason to go on, and then he left to find Marius but still kept in touch via letters. Armand is out here writing his own fanfiction, but I still love him :D And Raglan James is Talamasca, and from the later books, and also TROUBLE. Loving your reactions :)

Armand has quite a traumatic history, which will probably be discussed in the next ep. When he talked about being broken with Louis, I feel like he was also referencing the relationship with his own maker (not a good guy) :((
Marius had his faults but as vampires go, he was really a rather decent guy. By today's p.c. standards he'd be viewed as a pedophile but remember, he came from ancient Rome where such things were socially acceptable, and he only brought Armand "over" at such a young age because otherwise, Armand would have died. Marius stood by his friends and generally showed mercy as well as self-control in dealing with other vampires. (Unless, of course, they posed a direct threat to what he guarded.) It keeps getting better and better and I'm not surprised! Everyone is so beautiful and talented, ugh! Raglan James is simply THE character of book 4 of the Vampire Chronicles! The timeline is changed here and he's still part of the Talamasca, their spin off is coming btw. That guy was Nicolas, Lestat's first love whom he mentions in S1. Armand's story was fun, too bad it's fanfic, he's still bitter 😂 He's a gremlin but I get him, he's really been through so much, that part is true. Stantiago here too, never thought it would happen but then there was Ben Daniels!!! I would not bother watching Mayfair Witches, I was rooting for it but man... 🙄😒
Another great reaction! ❤ Chey being speechless as we went through multiple timelines and relationships was soo me this ep 😂 I loved it so much! It really makes you feel the passage of time. Assad Zaman said this really beautiful quote in an interview that its not just the story being told but who is telling it. So its kinda like everyones story is true in their own way bc they are telling it from their POV ❤ Keeping in mind that they are all vampires and have probably done a lot of wild stuff in their lives lol I'm scared for Louis and Claudia. When they started listing off the Laws... 😬😱
I'm happy you love the show ...but make no mistake ...Anne wrote this about 50 years ago and it was an instant best seller then ,,people accecpted alternate lifestyles back then much more than you think ..life was wild in the 60's thru 90's ....free love ,gay pride,anti-war, alternative music, was very important to us old people haha
This episode is a masterpiece and my favorite of the season so far. I know it's just going to keep getting more and more mind-blowing. This show is unreal and I'm enjoying watching your reactions, especially as non-book viewers. About Mayfair witches...it is not up to the same standards as IWTV at all, so if you react to it, lower your expectations. Having said that, I would watch your reaction to it cuz its such a bizarre show and I enjoy listening/watching ppl try to make sense of it😅.
Rewatch Lestat as The Harlequin on stage in Season 2, Episode 3: Remember how the women in the audience (and some men (Armand)) were gushing over him? Now Lestat has a current audience gushing over him from the Season 3 preview!
I love the Theater Vampires' story. Ben Daniels as Santiago is mesmerizing. They are so devious and cunning. Feel bad for Louis and Claudia and what is going to happen if they follow the books. I feel like season 2 is getting better. Please keep this show going because Sam Reid to me is a better Lestat than TC was in the movie, and really want to hear Lestat tell his side of the story. And then Marius and Pandora and so on. . .
Seeing Armand and Lestat’s history was quite fascinating as was the fact how Louis and Armand were drawn together due to their history of having been loved and broken hearted by the same vampire. Also I’d call them “Lovebats”! 😆🧛🏻♂️🧛🏽🧛🏾🧛🏾♀️🩸
This is a huge favor, but can anybody who has seen the show please tell me the start and end of when Claudia talks about her rape? Like a time stamp? Not for this video, but for the actual episode. I’m a guy with PTSD from childhood sexual violence who is unfortunately obsessed with IWTV, and I haven’t been able to watch the newest episode yet out of fear of triggering myself, so I’d be super grateful if anyone could do this for me.
the dialogue from claudia comes around 39:40 in, as soon as Louis says "I should tell you something" I would advise to mute the scene or skip forwards to 41:00, the scene abruptly changes back to the present then so you'll know claudia is done recounting it if you choose to just mute.
Nay Nay... Pumpkins... she was truly vicious. In a beautyful, pettie, seemingly unthreatening child like package. She wanted her body to match her mind and knowledge, unfortunately she was stuck in a little girls body for ever 😉
Mayfair Witches crosses over with IWTV via the secret agency/society that dude talking to Daniel is from. They document paranormal activity, it's really cool. AMC wants to do a whole spinoff about them. Mayfair Witches is nowhere near as good as IWTV, but it's shot so beautifully.
Fun fact: Raglan James is the character from the book "Tale of a body thief". Spoilers ahead: He changed bodies with Lestat. But he was not an active member of Talamasca. I wonder what this show do with him? Is he that same Raglan James? Or will he be the substitute for David Talbot? Or some new character will the old name? I love how this show is unpredictable even if you read books.
Armand can’t be trusted. He was obsessed with Lestat and Lestat wanted nothing to do with him. I don’t know how they’re going to tell this story in the show but if they follow similar to the books, Armand is a creep. Claudia’s story is unsettling. I won’t give any spoilers because that’s rude and because I don’t know which direction this is going to go. It will be interesting to discuss it after the season ends.
Lestat was missing his late lover Nicki when he came to New Orleans 10 times the way he thought about Armand years later ,that should tell you something right there ,and even said that Louis made him remember Nicki even more ......out of his own mouth ,Nicki was dear to him
He wasn't exactly an ancient, but he was a powerful sorcerer even as a human, and hadn't made another vampire, which makes the vampire he does sire stronger. But yes, Lestat definitely got the better of Armand in their early confrontation.
@@beriliumsphere107 that's not what I remember. Marius was about two thousand years old. Magnus was closer to Armands age, maybe a little older, but not close to two thousand years old. Yes, Lestat did drink from Akasha, but not at this point in the story.
I really wanted to love Mayfair Witches. The books are SO rich and interesting (with the usual unnecesary bs you have to ignore to love the series), but idk what it was that made me unable to connect. The photograph is perfect, and visually it's charming in a way. But the script and the actors I fear, are not iwtv quality. I think that you have to pay a lot extra for making the actors read those big ass books, so the lack of connection with the source shows, sadly :c If it was renewed for a second season maybe it wasn't that bad and I should give it another chance, but yes, not a lot of people in the fandom was happy with it at first at least. I love your reactions guys!
If you react to Mayfair Witches I will watch it just because it's your reactions, but I was super let down with season one. There are a few sexy characters but I don't think it was made even half as well as Interview was, and I'm sorry but I just do not think Alexandra Daddario was the right actress for the lead. The entire season feels like an increasingly confusing fever dream with wooden acting.
Wow......thank you for saying everything I felt about the show and the lead actress and others - it's surprisingly bad casting since they have the same executive producer Mark Johnson and they have been 100 % with IWTV. It seems Rolin Jones is the casting genius. I pray they don't do a cross over with the 2 shows. 😊 🌷
@@remholloway2579 😭😭 I have heard Mark Johnson say it several times but my denial is real.😂 I will continue to pray it never happens. Unless they do it with the only Mayfair I can abide ( aside from what she did to Louis) and that's Merrick. And since she's in the Chronicles, I would enjoy seeing her conjure...(I won't say it since some may not know the story). That's as close as I want to see my Beloveds to a Mayfair and yes I know about Rowan and Lestat, I have chosen to forget that. Selective memory is not a bad thing. 🤭🥰
youre so real. santiago's arms are so distracting! no spoilers i promise i just wanna point out a small fact. armand may be older but lestat is more powerful. ❤ i love your reactions to iwtv! how much is true is an amazing take lmao we know from s1 how much lestat loved nicky (and that was a century later) so do we really believe he did what armand said he did? hmmmmmmmmmmm.....
You definitely should react to Mayfair Witches. The two stories actually crossover in the books and most likely will on the shows at one point if they can both last long enough. Plus if you like spooky things, Mayfair Witches will definitely be right up your alley.
I was worried that Armand was going to kill Louis until he started fondling Louis's hair. He can't keep his hands off him like Lestat. Is anyone surprised that Louis invited Armand upstairs after telling him about his history with Lestat and Claudia not living for long? I wonder if Louis's motive is to seduce Armand to convince him not to tell the coven to kill Claudia. Do you think Armand really loves Louis or is he using him to get to Lestat? I know Lestat rejected him and I wonder if he sees Louis as a prize. On a side note, Louis did not look like he was into that kiss lol
Please, please read the chronicles (or listen to the audiobooks if you’re too busy).. I promise you will find so much more than the horrible Tom Cruise hack job in the film based on the book (complete with Tom’s homophobia making the film writers chop out the wonderful homoeroticism in Anne Rice’s book). The reaction videos are great. Take care boys. - A.
I was a little desapointed by this episode, especially the part that adapted parts of lestat's book. I feel like Nicolas was waisted. Hope they will make it up when they adapt the book.
As a longtime Anne Rice fan I can only say that The Mayfair Witches show is definitely inferior in quality to Interview With the Vampire. Miscast actors, poor writing and a botched, lacklustre storyline. Pure genius brought Interview to the screen but an entirely different set of people produced the Witches. You might enjoy some aspects of it, who knows, but don't have high expectations.
I was disappointed too. All the more so, I think, because I'd really enjoyed the Witches as a book series. But IWTV has exceeded my highest expectations and reactivated my interest in the Vampire Chronicles!
One thing I hate about this show is the first season we get nude scenes of these sexy men to draw us into the show. Then season two there are no more sex or nude scenes, think this is really unfair to us as viewers.
The guy in the beginning bothering Daniel at the restaurant was an agent from the Talamasca. They're a top secret agency following vampires through the centuries. Thank you!!!!! We appreciate you 🤗 and Britney Haynes the mother of comedy!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
No because when Santiago was reading the Vampire laws, I was gagged because Louis and Claudia have broken at least FOUR out of the FIVE laws! 🤣😭😭😔🫣🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠
It keeps getting better and better and I'm not surprised!
Is Raglan James still part of the Talamasca in this? Or is he there because of his own motivations?
@@cullenarthur8879 I guess we'll see, he definitely at least still has the files, the hacking abilities and is still in his original body (or is he?)
@@anacarolmsc the hacking abilities stood out to me as well.
I love how quick yall get these videos up! 💕 This show gets messier every episode
Agree about the pace of the show- it requires multiple views!
Definitely rewards on a rewatch too which is so nice!
I love having you guys to rewatch with 🥰
I'm happy you love the show ...but make no mistake ...Anne wrote this about 50 years ago and it was an instant best seller then ,,people accecpted alternate lifestyles back then much more than you think ..life was wild in the 60's thru 90's ....free love ,gay pride,anti-war, alternative music, was very important to us old people haha
Fun fact about Daniel and Armand in books:
They were lovers. In a very disturbing vampire/human way.
Daniel and Ammard history?? Oh you have no idea hun
And then Marius and Pandora and so on. . .
Completely agree with everything you said!!! 🤗
From 39:35 to 40:40 of the episode. I think that’s the only part of the episode they talk about it.
@@Melanie-jy2nw Thank you so much, I appreciate this. 🙏
the dialogue from claudia comes around 39:40 in, as soon as Louis says "I should tell you something" I would advise to mute the scene or skip forwards to 41:00, the scene abruptly changes back to the present then so you'll know claudia is done recounting it if you choose to just mute.
@@Werileyzno worries, happy to help!
@@lavendyre Thank you! I’m really grateful-watching the episode rn.
Emmy's for EVERYONE❤🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
I feel so horrible for Claudia all she ever wanted was to belong to something but all she got was a setup instead.Smh!!!
Her character is so tragic, it’s sickening 😭
@@PettyPumpkins it really is, so sad.
"Fuck these vampires" indeed!
Nay Nay... Pumpkins... she was truly vicious. In a beautyful, pettie, seemingly unthreatening child like package. She wanted her body to match her mind and knowledge, unfortunately she was stuck in a little girls body for ever 😉
@enchantedboy66 are asking if in the books Armond and Lestat were a couple?
Mayfair Witches crosses over with IWTV via the secret agency/society that dude talking to Daniel is from. They document paranormal activity, it's really cool. AMC wants to do a whole spinoff about them.
Mayfair Witches is nowhere near as good as IWTV, but it's shot so beautifully.
Mayfair Witches S2 is being filmed as we speak, it'll premiere in 2025. So you have time to react to it. Yes, react to Mayfair Witches.
Loving this show, and your reactions! Viva la hot vampires, and Happy Pride!!
Thank you!!!!! So excited for Pride month with our fav sexy vamps!!
Fun fact: Raglan James is the character from the book "Tale of a body thief".
Spoilers ahead:
He changed bodies with Lestat.
Lestat was missing his late lover Nicki when he came to New Orleans 10 times the way he thought about Armand years later ,that should tell you something right there ,and even said that Louis made him remember Nicki even more ......out of his own mouth ,Nicki was dear to him
@@whatadollslife 👍
Not mother on mother violence 😂
The body Thief (A few books down the line.)!
In the books Lestat's power was on par with Armand's because his Maker Magnus was an ancient.
He wasn't exactly an ancient, but he was a powerful sorcerer even as a human, and hadn't made another vampire, which makes the vampire he does sire stronger. But yes, Lestat definitely got the better of Armand in their early confrontation.
@@cullenarthur8879 Magnus was much older than Armand. More form the time of Marius
@@cullenarthur8879 Lestat also had the queens blood
@@beriliumsphere107 that's not what I remember. Marius was about two thousand years old. Magnus was closer to Armands age, maybe a little older, but not close to two thousand years old. Yes, Lestat did drink from Akasha, but not at this point in the story.
@@cullenarthur8879 Lestat met Marius way before this point in the story. Perhaps we should both go and read the story again
I think that you have to pay a lot extra for making the actors read those big ass books, so the lack of connection with the source shows, sadly :c
If it was renewed for a second season maybe it wasn't that bad and I should give it another chance, but yes, not a lot of people in the fandom was happy with it at first at least.
I love your reactions guys!
That’s such a bummer to hear 😔 but thank you for watching!!
I haven’t heard anything GOOD about MW. At best, I hear it’s meh. Thank you for confirming this.
@@jordanparker657eventually they are going to since this is a shared universe unfortunately 😑
@@jordanparker657 The Lestat & Rowan thing was definitely a miss! 🙄
You probably looking at possibly 13 plus seasons if all the books are adapted
We’re sat for all of it!
@@PettyPumpkins I am here for it too 😂
I'd say stop at TVA cause man did they get weiiiiiird after that ajdjajfjakfjakk
Yes plz watch Mayfair Witches!
youre so real. santiago's arms are so distracting! no spoilers i promise i just wanna point out a small fact. armand may be older but lestat is more powerful. ❤ i love your reactions to iwtv! how much is true is an amazing take lmao we know from s1 how much lestat loved nicky (and that was a century later) so do we really believe he did what armand said he did? hmmmmmmmmmmm.....
I feel the same way....😂❤
loved this episode! And yes react to Mayfair witches!
You definitely should react to Mayfair Witches. The two stories actually crossover in the books and most likely will on the shows at one point if they can both last long enough. Plus if you like spooky things, Mayfair Witches will definitely be right up your alley.
That’s what we were thinking. Thank you!
🖤MAYFAIR WITCHES!!!
I didn’t like Mayfair witches at all BUT I’d watch it with you ❤
I was worried that Armand was going to kill Louis until he started fondling Louis's hair.
❤❤❤
Yes please react to the Mayfair witches! 😊
Pov: its day 2 of asking for Gen v reaction since they watched the boys and this show is up there alley.😀
We haven’t even dropped our The Boys season 3 reaction yet 😩 promise we’re working on it!
I was a little desapointed by this episode, especially the part that adapted parts of lestat's book. I feel like Nicolas was waisted. Hope they will make it up when they adapt the book.
He wasn’t important for this part of the story. When Lestat tells his story Nicki will have a bigger more important role. This was just a teaser.
That’s so sad to hear 😔
React to Mayfair watches!!!
Yes please react to Mayfair Witches !
Mayfair witches please
WATCH THE NEW EPPPPPP PLSS 🤭🤭🤭
I didn’t love Mayfair. It was super boring to me. I couldn’t connect with the characters the way I hoped I would.
I was disappointed too. All the more so, I think, because I'd really enjoyed the Witches as a book series. But IWTV has exceeded my highest expectations and reactivated my interest in the Vampire Chronicles!
That’s what most people are saying which is so sad to hear!
Mayfair Witches was not blessed with the same quality writers as the Vamps. I am even a fan of Alex but the show was just not hitting for me. .
One thing I hate about this show is the first season we get nude scenes of these sexy men to draw us into the show. Then season two there are no more sex or nude scenes, think this is really unfair to us as viewers.
thats why we need Queen of the Damned to be made hahahaha as season 3
I would say that I think more nudity will be forthcoming! Hopefully in episode 5 👀👀
so real i was also very distracted by santiago
