This song and album is so good. I really hope Spiritbox does more progressive metal songs like this. I feel like this part of their style really allows Courtney to experiment with the various aspects of her voice. So good.
When they just play modern metalcore it takes away from her voice and they lose what makes them unique. By doing the whole djent thing they were able to make these more interesting vocal melodies that paired perfectly with the music.
Every once In awhile a band will come around with a sound and ambience that refreshes your outlook on music. Spiritbox has done that for me. They make me want to push to become a better musician. Keep making music please.
i felt this comment big time. as a song writer and performer, i hit a lot of blocks throughout writing and what not....after listening to a few of spiritbox songs, i felt like i had so much more to write and had tons of inspiration to keep writing.
I really can't stop listening to them. Everything in a band that I would want. A beautiful voice that can scream her head off, and heavy instrumentals with sick riffs. I really don't want to overplay them but it's so hard not to. I was in the 1.3% top listeners on UA-cam music lol.
There's something about this collection of singles that is quite different than the rest, even comparing to the Spiritbox EP with the Mara Effect trilogy etc. This one and Bleach Bath are something else.
I'm here to start a petition to have Spiritbox play this song live on ther North American tour next year. Seeing them on May 10th in Hollywood and I NEED THIS SONG lol.
@@infinityfactorial definitely got some respect for IWABO, but I feel like this is a more serious, artistic direction. Like IWABO makes me wanna mosh, Spiritbox makes me want to learn to paint or photography.
@@AMcCann1178 That makes perfect sense. Spiritbox absolutely comes off as a more artistic project with richly layered songs and a whole different purpose. IWABO was great at what they did (and yes, I saw them live once... moshing was not in short supply) but Spiritbox is breaking some ground right here. I never saw this many people blown away by what IWABO did at the time (awesome as it was) as I do now for this band. Spiritbox just makes music that could be the soundtrack for a very deep, intellectual film, and they are gaining this well-deserved following because of the way that they're bringing their sound together.
wow, can't believe how creative and fresh this band can be in such a saturated scene. They just can't release anything bad and the video is stunning - so much work
This song is one of the most amazing songs I’ve ever heard. Listen to it at least a few times a week. Vocals are insane and the ambiance to go along with it
i am so glad i found this band, it strikes a chord in my Pacific Northwest blood. The woods of Vancouver island are haunting just like this band. i cant get enough. Thank you for this Spiritbox.🙏
I watched this so many times, yet just now noticed the cut from 2:42 to 2:43 Usually what annoys me in some music videos is, when apparently there is still singing on the vocal track but the singer in the video doesn't move the lips in a scene transition. Well, not in this video. It's done so subtly here but that's why it's awesome! She just takes the high note from the scene before and goes on with it in the next one. I'm not the first to say it, but this video is stunning - scenery, editing and pace are just on point (just like the audio of course).
@@ObliviousInferno Not sure if you'll see this my dude, but you for real killed it with this video & with all of your work with Spiritbox to date.
