@@scottshokk7453 I mean they are called SLEEP Token 🤣 Not sure if you're trying to diss them or not, but if you don't like them then don't listen to them. You don't have to leave a comment about it.
Sleep Token could write a song about a chicken sandwich, and make it absolutely heart-wrenching and compelling. This song is the pinnacle of their discography. It moved my entire being. I am thankful for their existence.
It's beautiful tbh... Makes you realize what you lost under your own selfish desires and at the same time tells you to love harder cause of those lost times lost innocence...it hit deep.@@blain20_
"I guess it goes to show does it not, We've no idea what we've got until we lose it, no amount of love will keep it around if we dont choose it." This part hit me somewhere so deep that it took me back to my childhood, and it broke me. It is very rare when a song can bring out such deep emotions of anger, love and hate. This song did it!
I hope you are not blaming your childhood self for not choosing love to be around. You are not to blame but of course the pain is real and it can be very fruitful to reflect the past and try to understand it to get a better picture of the present self.
Same for me... the chorus? "My, my, those eyes like fire/I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre/Come now, bite through these wires/I'm a waking hell and the gods grow tired" just...wow.
Drums could have been mixed a tad bit better but when it comes to everything else MY GOODNESS the engineer nailed it 🔥🔥🔥. I give it a 9.5/10 on the mix
I'm a non native english speaker so I don't hear Vessel has any British accent. Cause usually British guys uses too much thrust & push too much air from their mouth while speak. Like the pronunciation of the word "too" would be sounds like "thhhhoo" for british. So, I'm confused like a "Boo-wooa-wah-ah" 🤣 Btw, Vessel's voice is out of this world.

It's about addiction. I'll cook: 👨🏻🍳 Eden represents innocence in two ways. One: when he had self control, and control over his life, before the addiction(s). Two: the innocence of trying these vices for the first time. Every relapse is like a fragmented memory of that first time. The sad reality of the feeling of euphoria reducing at the same rate your life is consumed and deteriorated with each dose/experience. The first verse seems to describe such innocent first encounters: a more direct read suggests drugs, but it could be fame, sex or even financial success. It uses words like dream, drifting, fog, spaces, waters, oceans, weightlessness... even the word phosphorescence reminds me of psychedelics. It ends that verse with "But no one told me not to breathe" perhaps indicating he felt like he was not aware of the negative consequences to indulging in these activities and feels like he was deceived to a degree. Like he should have dipped a toe and been more careful, but the enjoyment of crystal waters and perfect oceans blinded him to this reality. "and now the weightlessness recedes" seems like a reference to a come down, especially compared to the previous line "no one told me not to breathe", indicating some regret. 🍲 Then Chorus: "my my those eyes...." first describes the allure of drugs, partying, the fast life. He flies to that which destroys him strictly because of its undeniable appeal. He's clean right now (off drugs, or dating apps, w/e) but it's killing him and he feels himself giving in... He knows this is wrong but he's restless sober. Maybe the withdrawals are too much. "grow back your sharpest teeth you know my desire." He feels like he can't escape his desire to relapse so he plans to dive in hard... again. Then Refrain: Notice here he uses future tense "I will travel". I read this as him implying he'll do anything to fix his situation.. at this point he is broken, but hopeful. 🥘 The rapped bit has some fun wordplay but seems like a blunt metaphor for the Sunday scaries. He's hungover. He's now paranoid that the people around him don't care about him. "mirror talk, fake love, but I'll take a pound of your flesh before you take a piece of my paystub" In this paranoid hungover state he sees people attempting to support him as a threat. In his view they are trying to ride his coat tails and stay close to him for their own financial benefit. Maybe because they tour a lot the people he spends his time with are mostly business acquaintances that he perceives as fake friends, only interested in supporting him because they want a piece of his success. A nasty selfish state of being... often associated with withdrawal and hangovers. After that shitty day why not just relapse for some comfort, he needs it you see. Chorus. The piano interlude section with the clean vocals doesn't fit my template as obviously or straightforward as the rest, but, I'll keep the sauté going: 🫕 What he lost was essentially himself. He feels like his success and these addictions have fundamentally changed who he is. "and no amount of love will keep it around if we don't chose it" despite his popularity and the love he's shone by fans etc. he feel like he was consumed by his lifestyle. In his view he chose to be this person he thought he needed to be to "make it" and that led him down this dark path... had he chosen to stay true to himself and not compromise his "innocence", maybe he'd be less popular, but he'd still be him. The next line expresses the feeling of not understanding how this has happened to him and the undirected rage bubbling up to the surface. He's grasping for something to blame. Then with the last two lines of this section "no amount of self-sought fury will bring back the glory of innocence" he realizes his feelings are utterly useless. Whether his anger is justified or not, nothing can repair the damage that has been done. . . So why not just relapse right back into the fire. Chorus. Last refrain "I have traveled far beyond the path of reason, take me back to Eden, take me back to Eden." Past tense... Hope lost. He's gone as far as he can conceive of to return to himself and his innocence but is now giving up. Eden now, rather than actual innocence, represents chasing the dragon only. He now succumbs to pursuing what fading solace his addictions can provide. A bitter, bitter end. 🍾🥂 Sweet dreams! If anyone read this, I am impressed and flattered.
It's double edged, you can stop choosing a bad/toxic/abusive relationship and still love the person who hurt you. Love isn't enough, it can't be. Especially if it only flows in one direction (like worship).
Susan. You showed me this song and you literally saved my life. I still haven’t comprehended that you died 2 weeks after we met. I never got to say thank you. I love you Susan. Rest. In. PEACE ❤
“And no amount of love will keep it around unless we choose it” After 16 years of marriage at 38 years old I can confidently say this best sums up what it takes.
SMH you completely missed the message of these beautiful lyrics with your self-aggrandizing comment. It's not to make you feel important and full of yourself that you're married. Think of the context of the rest of the song. The lyric is referring something bigger and more metaphoric. Everything in our life is temporary, nothing sticks around for long, so if you love something, or someone, spouse, parents, friends, pets, even a specific time in your life. You have to "choose" to to love it, be present, and cherish it, otherwise you won't know what you had until you lose it. THAT is what the lyric means. He's not giving marriage advice ffs
@@Kenny31190 I’m not bragging though. You’re straw manning my statement. Why? I have no idea. My statement reads exactly like yours does just within the context of a 16 year marriage. I could go into all kinds of details on why this matters. Who hurt you bro?
The amount of references in this song is quite honestly incredible. Bits from all the way through the albums. They're not completly shoved down your throat either. Breathtaking.
@@camdenwyeth316 In Ascensionism he says I can offer you a blacklit paradise, and on Euclid he says "these ancient canopies we used to lay beneath." He also says something about the Bough breaking (a reference to When the Bough breaks) there's also musical references through the whole album. The love you want in Euclid, the melody on the end of this when he references Chokehold is a slowed down version of the melody in The Offering etc.
@@ninja3687 The last euclid piano riff is the same as The Night does not Belong to God, and vessel also sings the night belongs to you. Maybe he's finally reached God in Eden.
Can we take a moment to give massive props to the producer? Theres so much going on in all the channels, the front, the back, but its all so clear and audible. Zero muddy-ness. Amazing band, amazing producer.
This band has done something in my soul that I just can’t explain. It’s like every lyric is a thought I’ve always had that I didn’t know how to put into words. This is so much deeper than just music.

@@ultra_phantomaj8300 From other albums too, at least I think so. "Reset my patient violence along both lines of a pathway higher" could reference Higher and "Bite through these wires", and "Grow back your sharpest teeth" could reference The Offering. Could be more but these are ones that seem the most plausible.
I was listening at work and so many times they took my breath away. They literally stopped me dead in my tracks to start the song over because I could NOT believe what just heard. I will remember the experience forever. 🔥❤️🔥❤️
“No amount of self-sought fury will bring back the glory of innocence” Earlier, I stumbled upon old pictures I hadn’t seen in a long time. They brought memories of all kind. Feels like a million past lives sought through. I see these captured glimpses and I remember how I felt at those exact moments. I see myself through a loop from everything in between who I am, what I’ve been through, where I’ve been and where I am now. Seeing these exact moments right before storms, those glorious moments of innocence and the loaded dreams that left me empty. And how unaware I was of what was going to hit, and everything that was lost underneath. That line flashed through my mind in those instants and hit like a hurricane. How diluted the concept of time gets. You think it doesn’t have as much of an impact and there you are years later, waking up far below the surface unaware you’ve been drowning all along. It feels like I’ve recently woken up. It’s a painful but cathartic eye opening and I can only seek to weaponize it to build my strength. If you are reading this, I want you to know you are more than a Vessel. You’re of the heavens and the stars, a carved constellation flowing beyond life and death. The melodies of your soul sing to wake the constant rebirth of infinity. Let your stars align again. Thank you for colliding mine.
Thank you for sharing, the way you're describing the song and its effects on you has me connecting similarly. It truly walks the fine line of gentle, calm, bitter, and sweet. This concept is what it's all about, we lose our innocence but we grow and evolve in exchange. Also living in the moment and really appreciating what you have is also an important concept here.
I'm here to tell Vessel that he created a beautiful masterpiece, to me Take Me Back To Eden it's perfection that others bands would like to achieve. Thank you for this beautiful masterpiece. WORSHIP.
I lost my dad to cancer one month ago and while I stayed in the hospital over the last month of his life this song was my comfort. When I listen to it now I feel like I am still with him in that hospital. Thank you for the comfort.
There's a very sad and melancholy nostalgia to this man's voice. Yeah, these songs are very personal to him, and it shows. Also, can we just appreciate how beautiful his voice is? That gift should not go without mentioning. It's as if a man is striving for a feeling of completeness he lost a long time ago.
@@angelesalvarezlasarte656 I apologize for not understanding what that means. Could you translate that to English? I understand the part where you were conveying a sentiment of sorts as one of the words suggested. But what's the sentiment? Again, I really only speak English.
The Apparition and Rain are unreal tracks. And this one just shows why it's the title track. The little surprise at the end of the album caught me off guard and it was so pleasant. Overall, album of the year nominee for me. Beautiful album all around.
We are really not OK. What a thing to drop on us. This album has been on constant repeat for 21 hours now and doesn’t look like stopping any time soon. 🖤💔🖤🙏🏻
I just became a Sleep Token fan yesterday. I didn't know this band existed till now and I love the way it makes you feeling wanted like a long awaited embrace. It's incredibly comforting. Thank you Sleep Token!
Wherever this band goes from here, I can only hope that they know how much this music means to so many of us. How much these songs have resonated… If it is true that “nothing lasts forever”, I’m glad that I had the privilege of being here while it did and for as long as it continues. Thank you, Sleep Token. Worship.
My brother introduced me to this song right before Christmas 23. I instantly fell in love with this song and had this on repeat for a week straight. This was literally the only song I listened to until I branched out to another Sleep Token song. I've not stopped listening to them for over a year, almost exclusively. I have never been so captivated by a band. I'm a winged insect and their music is a funeral pyre. Worship!
This has been my experience. I found them about two weeks ago, and have no control over the rate at which I am compelled to consume everything ST. It has been so long since music has touched my soul in this way. Like so many others, I struggle to find words to adequately convey the emotional response and jaw-dropping awe at their talent that I have. It's all a very intense experience, and I don't know what part of me needs to hear them constantly. Working through it all, I know, will bring the utmost healing.
@@isaintlikei4076Architects are the king of this. I remember in an interview them talking about it and saying how powerful of a tool it is because you can with one line of reference to another song bring in an entire songs worth of meaning with that one line. Really cool narrative tool.
if you're a fan of referental lines + motifs I highly recommend The Dear Hunter! their sound is different from this but their Acts I - V are all narratively and musically connected
I believe it’s George Lever. He does clips on URM Academy vids here on UA-cam where he talks about working with ST, respecting their anonymity, etc. He also has some playing credits on some of the songs, he played bass on Alkaline.
@@ER04040 I liked Lever’s mixes, they were dense yet had separation, especially the de-tuned guitars, they were really crushing. And the vocal production was so clear and articulate.

I’m new to sleep token and I’ll say, just like every new fan I’m sure; i am in complete awe. For so long i had a “itch” that hasn’t been scratched with a bands and music today ,and Sleep token hasn’t just itched it but taken it to new heights. Amazing. Worship.
Dear God it's like a band has sold their soul for completely flawless and heart-wrenching music that cannot be compared to nothing else. Absolutely love this band
@@ColereHumanity its an ancient rune from Elder Futhark that grants immense energy at the cost of great sacrifice. It means a couple other things too, but the band basically sacrifice everything to give us this music.
My daughter just recently introduced Sleep Token to me. I find myself at a complete loss of words to describe the incredible journey filled with every emotion possible. This whole album is pure Perfection.
There is a hoodie on their website that has 12 different models that all say the names of the songs next to them (its in their coded language seen on the album cover.) and it has all the current ones we've seen so far, so They at least have the artwork for every single "Character"
I agree. However, Ascensionism pissed me off. You start off a song with this incredibly beautiful ballad. Here I am like, “Oh my God could this be better than ‘Atlantic?’” Then the song switches up to R&B and I’m like “What the fuuuuck?!?!” I felt like doing a Shawshank redemption style dramatic effect while down on my knees, arms out screaming “Nooooooooooo!”
@@stonedinvalhalla I never said I hated the song. I don’t hate the song. I like the song a lot. I just would’ve enjoyed it a fuck load better if they treated more like Atlantic. An absolute majestic, tear-jerking ballad ended in triumph with the rest of the band like you’re flying into the solar system.
Maybe the best Sleep Token song yet? Hard to say among so many 11/10 songs, but this song is fucking incredible. One of the best outros of any song ever
They released six songs and on practically every one of them people were like "how is the rest going to fare if they are releasing all the bangers ahead of time" Then we get songs like ascensionism, apparition, rain, and tmbte? They have no business being even better.
@@thetruextremeicon legit, this was already album of the year for me the moment they dropped the singles. Actually hearing the phenomenal perfection that it ended up being just makes me so happy
So, I’ve finally had the pleasure to sit with and absorb the third release in Sleep Token’s trilogy of albums, “Take Me Back To Eden.” There are a lot of feelings, and a lot of layers with this album. But I don’t want to simply rehash what dozens of other reviewers out there are talking about. Not that those points are irrelevant, rather, I’d like to speak to what they’re NOT speaking to. Sleep Token writes love songs. Point blank, period. At the end of the day, that’s what these songs are. So if there isn’t a hopeless romantic inside of you, these songs might not speak to you and you can honestly find yourself bored. I’m not here to dispute that. These songs run the gamut from break-up songs, to sexy-time songs, and EVERYTHING in between. And this band will use any method they choose to communicate these messages - be that low tuned, distorted guitars and double bass - or dark synth-pop and trap. Sleep Token does not have time for anyone to “figure them out”, or decide what box/genre they fit in. This album is everything I didn’t know I needed in music. Some of the tracks at first listen were a little out of my comfort zone, but once I got over the fact that they use a method of music that I’m not normally used to - I was able to hear the song for what it was…just great, relatable music that speaks to the human heart and all the ways in which we’ve experienced love, for better or worse. Genre-bending music on this level has been attempted, but never so well done. Take Me Back To Eden cuts through to a part of me that I’m not sure if it was dormant, or didn’t exist in the first place. But now it’s there, and I’m happy to have it as a part of my journey in this life. Less a collection of songs and more an experience, TMBTE is an instant classic that will grow deeper roots with every playthrough.
My girlfriend is a huge metal fan ive always wanted to get into metal and now that i asked her what should i start with she reccomened me this masterpiece..godamn im gonna love this genre
As a heavy, deathcore metal listener, I find really stupid to think that you need to hate them just BC they're edging into pop, with metal. They're pretty much a mood. I didn't like the whole album myself but I think the work to compose and arrange the album was flawless, creative and changing.. very much appreciated. Really looking forward to hear more from them.
@@paulgk6114 to normies, or ppl who doesnt actually hear metal this could be an amazing approach, as it was back then Kiss, maybe even Limp biskit or linkin park, its now about "how amazing" its about the rock culture getting bigger and popular, yet being a cool band tho.
@@omerquiaragua2 no, it's about not caring how "cringe" or "normie" you will seem and just doing what you want to hear yourself putting all you influences into it. genre hipsters is what holds music back. people following their intuition is what creates new genres by mixing what already exists molding it into something new. not saying this is high art. it 's music and it slaps. there are so many amazing pop songs in history. if you love music in general, you know what i'm talking about. if you are stuck in puberty trying to belong to a tribe/gang you won't get it..

This is one of the most creative, well put together, huge, massive, catchy, sexy, deep, heavy, not heavy, genre bending, mold breaking, non gate keeping , gut wrenching, 3 point draining, masterfully crafted albums I’ve ever heard. No one is topping this. Sorry baht it. Worship.
@DizzyMan24 I can see saying it isn't something to be worshipped, but saying it is mid...I find that interesting that you can't hear the brilliance. What music do you put on a pedestal out of curiosity? You have to have a reference point.
idk man, this band is unimaginative, uncreative, nothing new, nothing inspiring and this kind of music has been done to death since the 2008's. I hate this kind of music as a kid and now in my 30's its still bad. maybe you need to be exposed to alot more music cause if this speaks to your soul then you really haven't been exposed to music, sad really
I've had a lifetime of exposure to great music, thanks. As I said, music is personal. If you hate this type of music, why are you trolling me on the comments for this video? Maybe you should concentrate on music that fires you up, and not loitering around stuff you hate, criticising people who have a difference of opinion with you. Peace, out.
I'm 37 years old musician who has played and listened to an enormous amount of music and this band is the most unique band I've heard in years, they have a sound that transcends through so many music styles and the core of it is pure intense emotion. Absolutely incredible band, incredible musicians and a band that industry has needed for years. All the best for them
@@govys85ive listened to so much stuff, from the most modern pop and rap to old rock and metal, to modern tech death metal and enjoyed it all. Theres a difference between hearing a lot and appreciating a lot. I may not be a fan of many pop artists but I see the appeal because its simple, enjoyable music. If you cant appreciate this then thats fine, but dont ridicule someone for understanding something you cant and never will. If you relate to happy by pharrel williams, thats great. If you relate to a lorna shore song, also good for you. Music is subjective and your lack of insight into a particular band isn’t indicative of anything beyond a difference in taste. Go enjoy what you like, but dont act like it makes you better than someone else. You elitists are the problem with metal as a community.
The only band that can reach out through my phone through a small speaker that can speak to my soul with full clarity and understanding. I hope they know how important their music is to the world.
I hiked up a mountain on shrooms and listened to this on repeat....brought me to literal tears in visioning the separation of humans from our Lord in the garden of Eden..and how we desperately wanna get that perfection back... With our tortured selfs unclean selfs., and how there is a literal guardian of the Lord blocking the gates to Eden...
"And I don't know what's got it's teeth in me, but I'm about to bite back in anger" just hits really hard for me. When I've been trough a rough patch either by a known or unknown reason I just have to fight it back harder than it hit me. This song is just an amazing experience start to end! Hope that Sleep Token will come out with more like this!
Been here since 'Jaws'. For lot of us Sleep Token has pulled us through a deeply personal and incredibly artistic journey. It almost seems like these past years of their music has built up to this moment. They really blew up with this new music. I couldn't be happier for the band and anyone who comes across this masterfully crafted work. Worship
I’ve been an atheist for about eight years, but for some reason, when I listen to this song, it feels like... it feels like I’m meeting God directly, singing in front of me, and every harmony pierces right into my heart. I don’t know why this is happening or if Vessel and his band are truly connected to God? I don’t know, but I really enjoy the song and the feeling it gives me.
I'm an atheist too and i know what you mean. I fully believe in the need to express spirituality even without God. To me, spirituality can be connection with our deeper emotions, connection to each other, out community or nature, or the feeling of being a part of something greater. The love we have for our friend or children or family is spiritual. It's okay of religion and god don't play a part. This song is very emotional and very spiritual. It lays bare and acknowledged the vulnerability, pain, acceptance, and even addiction of grief and a painful relationship, whatever or whoever that may be with
There are huge amounts of biblical references in sleep token. One of their first songs is called nazareth. I felt a pull after listening, looked up the biblical connections to lyrics, and it impacted me so profoundly that I went back to church. I'm a different person now 🙏 in their live shows there is at least sometimes a voice over in breaks which tells the crowd that death is not the end. Vessel knows what he's doing :)
I did too. And while they are a good band no doubt, I myself don't get the hype. But that doesn't mean they aren't blowing up huge, so good for them! and good for the people that find them enjoyable!
Ugh the third verse when he sings about how we have no idea what we’ve got until we lose it just sends chills all over. Vessel really hits me in the heart, he’s such a beautiful poet 💜

@jinxthebrat9813 It does. The lyrics are so poetically interpersonal that even now at the age I am can still hope to feel something thru song.
"I guess it goes to show does it not, We've no idea what we've got until we lose it, no amount of love will keep it around if we dont choose it."
This part hit me somewhere so deep that it took me back to my childhood, and it broke me.
Feel that, but with a break up. But maybe it's deeper. Maybe it is childhood too.

"No amount of self-sought fury
Will bring back the glory of innocence"
Insane lyrics
Luke 10:18. I saw Lucifer fall from heaven like lightening..
Where he fell caused chaos until Elohim created Eden: order out of chaos.
It's about addiction.
I'll cook: 👨🏻🍳
Eden represents innocence in two ways.
🍲
Then Chorus: "my my those eyes...." first describes the allure of drugs, partying, the fast life.
🥘
The rapped bit has some fun wordplay but seems like a blunt metaphor for the Sunday scaries.
Chorus.
The piano interlude section with the clean vocals doesn't fit my template as obviously or straightforward as the rest, but, I'll keep the sauté going: 🫕
What he lost was essentially himself.
Chorus.
Last refrain "I have traveled far beyond the path of reason, take me back to Eden, take me back to Eden."
Past tense... Hope lost. He's gone as far as he can conceive of to return to himself and his innocence but is now giving up. Eden now, rather than actual innocence, represents chasing the dragon only. He now succumbs to pursuing what fading solace his addictions can provide. A bitter, bitter end. 🍾🥂
Sweet dreams!
If anyone read this, I am impressed and flattered.
"And no amount of love will keep it around if we don't choose it"... What a line.
Live that shit because it's so true.
It's double edged, you can stop choosing a bad/toxic/abusive relationship and still love the person who hurt you.
Love isn't enough, it can't be. Especially if it only flows in one direction (like worship).

After 16 years of marriage at 38 years old I can confidently say this best sums up what it takes.
13 years with my partner and that's absolutely true
SMH you completely missed the message of these beautiful lyrics with your self-aggrandizing comment.
It's not to make you feel important and full of yourself that you're married. Think of the context of the rest of the song. The lyric is referring something bigger and more metaphoric.
Everything in our life is temporary, nothing sticks around for long, so if you love something, or someone, spouse, parents, friends, pets, even a specific time in your life. You have to "choose" to to love it, be present, and cherish it, otherwise you won't know what you had until you lose it.

“No amount of self-sought fury
will bring back the glory of innocence”
Earlier, I stumbled upon old pictures I hadn’t seen in a long time.

It is another level of connection. Incredible
Sounds like you've got it all figured out.

LYRICS:
I dream in phosphorescence
Bleed through spaces
See you drifting past the fog
But no one told you where to go
We dive through crystal waters, perfect oceans
But no one told me not to breathe
And now the weightlessness recedes
My, my, those eyes like fire
I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre
Come now, bite through these wires
I'm a waking hell and the gods grow tired
Reset my patient violence along both lines of a pathway higher
Grow back your sharpest teeth, you know my desire
I will travel far beyond the path of reason
Take me back to Eden, take me back to Eden
Take me back to Eden
Well yeah, I spit blood when I wake up
Sink porcelain stained, choking up brain matter and makeup
Just two days since the mainframe went down and I'm still messed up
Room feels like a meat freezer, I dangle in it like cold cuts
Missed calls, answered phones from people I just don't trust
Mirror talk, fake love
But I'll take a pound of your flesh
Before you take a piece of my paystub
White roses, black doves, Godmother, rise up
I need you to see me for what I have become
My, my, those eyes like fire
I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre
Come now, bite through these wires
I'm a waking hell and the gods grow tired
Reset my patient violence along both lines of a pathway higher
Grow back your sharpest teeth, you know my desire
I guess it goes to show, does it not?
That we've no idea what we've got until we lose it
And no amount of love will keep it around
If we don't choose it
And I don't know what's got its teeth in me
But I'm about to bite back in anger
No amount of self-sought fury
Will bring back the glory of innocence
My, my, those eyes like fire
I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre
Come now, bite through these wires
I'm a waking hell and the gods grow tired
Reset my patient violence along both lines of a pathway higher
Grow back your sharpest teeth, you know my desire
I have traveled far beyond the path of reason

Sleep token isn't about christianity or God it's about their cult (not an actual cult) where they worship Sleep
There are huge amounts of biblical references in sleep token. One of their first songs is called nazareth. I felt a pull after listening, looked up the biblical connections to lyrics, and it impacted me so profoundly that I went back to church.
