That was funny. I caught on pretty quick to the joke. I love both Jonathan Katz-Moses and Tamar. Both are outstanding and I'm pretty sure that 100% of the time I learn something from them 60% of the time. I've been saving up for about 4 years now to buy Jonathan's stop block. Now I have to save up for Tamar's stuff too? Man, I'll never catch up with all this woodworking equipment stuff.

At first I was like wait, what. Now I am just jealous! I want Tamar's router base. I was an early adopter to the stop block. Thinking of upgrading to the new version and getting some new J bolts and bigger knobs, no pun intended. Thanks for making my morning more tolerable .

:) I have tamars router jig too! I made my own stop block turns out using 2 knobs and T bolts makes it super secure, alas I dont have micro adjustment but it was scrap wood so essentially free.

I almost thought that this video was announcing the release of your original stop block (you know, the one that Jonathan & Tamar copied years ago). LoL. I bought Tamar’s version, largely because it wasn’t available from the scion of the Old Testament. I also bought Tamar’s 6-in-1 jig, and love it. It’s inexpensive & accurate.
My monitor nearly got covered in Dr. Pepper when you said "old testament cat".

DON'T do the same mistake I did, leave your square fence low enough so that your parts stops on the gray part. I designed mine higher (though it would be more versatile), so it's almost always the red part of the block that is stopping my parts, and the red part is only held by one thumb screw. The red part is VERY high deflection, it doesn't hold at all. Maybe with 2 thumb screw it would hold better, but I've been using it for about a year now, and I have to rest my parts against the red part in such a delicate way otherwise it shifts.
I don't know if this comment is clear but if doing multiple cuts, your parts must rest on the grey part of the stop block.

Umm, actually I think You were right. The JKM stop is a poor design. I bought one when it first came out and it sucked. It collects dust in my drawer better than festool CT15.

Very funny. I also bought Tamar's 6-in-1 jig without a current need for it, but mainly to support her. I also bought stuff from Jonathan for the same reason. I think I have found some uses for his excellent router plane that I bought without having a need for it.
Oof! I was looking up Katz-Moses to get his dovetail jig when I came across this video. I was, “What the heck!” I watched with genuine curiosity until I heard that “millions were scammed.” At that point I figured, this is either a joke, or you were an idiot. Towards the end of the video, I determined “joke.”

Your sarcasm was far too long before you made your reveal. A lot of people likely clicked away from this video believing Katz Moses’ version is a scam long before your reveal. These days people’s attention spans are far shorter than they used to be, so be careful how you deal with sarcasm in video. I’m a marketer who has experience with this.
I work for the marketing firm that made Yeti Coolers famous, so let me give you one small bit of advice: When it comes to marketing in videos, if you are going to use sarcasm, you need to resolve that sarcasm quickly, otherwise you risk losing potential subscribers. You nearly lost me. I happen to hold Katz Moses in high regard and you blasting him like that made me almost block your channel. I’m certain that plenty of other guys clicked away part way through this video and didn’t finish it. You lost a bunch of new viewers. Otherwise, keep up the other good work that you do…just leave out the sarcasm, because you’re not good at it. Sorry.

I know it was a joke that he thinks JKM's stop was bad but im still wondering if Tamar has really came out with a stop that looks like Johnathans or what? Has she really came out with one that looks just like his or was that part of the joke too? If she really did that is hers a little bit more affordable?( bc that's the only reason I haven't purchased one from JKM). It was just confusing because then he talks about her jig that he will never use and only bought to support her.
@@Dahna_ Like he said in the video, Tamar’s stop is just a limited edition. She most likely is selling it to celebrate the collaboration she had JKM when they launched that new jig they designed together.
