That tone in the intro was just unreal. I have a pretty great modded plexi style amp, and this pedal comes across as getting very close to that sound if not dead on. Hell yes I’m getting this

Yeah, watching this for the first time and thought exactly the same…. Sounds too “wirey” to me. I play a strat with that sound it’d be pretty aggressive!

Got a bit of that Nuno tone going on during parts of that. Nice. Just checked out the Standard models on the GuitarCenter site. Why do I have to wait until April for delivery? Dammit! So nice, love them.

It reminds me of the Kinglsey Jester and constable or squire and constable kind of Plexi action with gain on tap and under the fingers. Love how many options there are on it. Could probably overdrive it with a tube screamer or a squire in front too just like a JCM800. It has a nice look too.

Nice video and playing! Do you recreate the 60’s and 70’s amps of the Revival Drive with the Hot Rod Edition? Or you have to have both editions to have that versatility?
Hey Rabea, could you do a few clips of this pedal with lower gain to see how it behaves? Trying to see if it can replace the regular RD
the ghosting feature also applies some dynamics, the amp sags more.

Hi Rabea. Great video, as always. Thank you. Quick question, I have s RD Hot Rod Custom and it is extremely noisy. It is noisy with humbuckers (or singles) and the rest of the set up with other drive pedals is not noisy. How do you keep your set up so quiet? You have no noise in the video. Thank you!

What kind of an IR were you using on the OX? I want to get this thing and set up a similar signal path. I need this tone in my life.
Now I’m back to thinking I should’ve kept this instead of going back to the original big revival drive. Ugh pedal addiction.
Is the "ghost" setting like ISF on the Blackstar drive pedals?
Damn this looks and sound bad ass!!!!!! So now what will i do with my original revival drive 😓😓😓, its only 4monnths old 😵😵😵...until i getting know and understand what the pedals do, thats some long learning process
I need to know how it responds to different compression in front of it... If it responds as good as the OD-200, then I'll get it...

I think they’re missed a couple options for switching on that box? 😳 MEGO about two minutes in...cannot imagine wanting to do that much tweeking and geeking with this pedal! No disrespect to the sound.
I thought this was a strat in the first part of the video before you showed the les Paul
sounded a bit harsh, but in a band mix,its all there, but i would take away some top end just for the audience

I have a question on the preamp toggle switch - you mentioned that you can switch between EL34 or 6L6 style preamps, but aren't they more associated with the power section of an amp as opposed to a preamp?
Most often when referencing sounds of amps, people mention the power amp tubes not the pre amp.
@@rocki4k didn't answer the question. I'm also confused. Switching the PREAMP between EL34 or 6L6 just doesn't make sense, since those are power section tubes, not preamps.
@@devonstedy6812 when they all take 12ax7s.... You must use another metric.. And people most often do this by by stating the power tube type... Giving you an idea of the amp type/family.. General topography..

Would be ok at half the money but at full price too close to a real Marshall SV20H imo.

So noisy! That buzz in the background, is that the pedal or something else? His LP has humbuckers but the buzz is as bad as a P90 :(

Is this is a kind of "fake" review?? I have one of these and during the video you just dont touch at dry/OD control, so it is not the tone of this pedal!

The problem is it just sounds too bright and brittle. It’s so sharp and hard on the ear
