    hey man thanks for makign this video, but I noticed you did not apply the materials and that's the step I'm stuck at now. I added the material to the Geo CachActor but it doesn't apply. Any idea why not?

      Okay, I solved the issue...the oldest trick in the book. Restart Unreal.

    This is amazing, thank you! Quick Q, have you ever had an issue where your alembic exports from Marvelous Designer won’t play in UE5? I’ve exported over and over and no matter what, when I load up the cache in sequencer it doesn’t bring up the frames.

      @@BrockCreative it opens in blender but it’s a little wonky. Seems to be a MD situation but I can’t figure it out. So weird.

    Do you know something about importing garment from MD in USD format to create Chaos Cloth Physics asset? They say in 5.4 you can import not only mesh, textures and baked animation, but also physical properties of materials to simulate garment in UE itself. If somebody have tested this in depth, please, let me know, how the result are?

    wait.. wtf, for UE5 you dont need to remesh? Dont need to weight paint? Just IMPORT AND IT WORKS??

      @@Freelancer604 Marvelous designer does all the simulation work, all UE5 needs to do is read that information through an alembic

      @@BrockCreative jesus that sounds too good to be true! What about the jagged mess of triangles that MD calls a mesh? UE5 games can just take those and run without destroying fps?

      @@Freelancer604 An alembic wont give you a mesh that just works forever, it’s a cached animation. UE5 can handle a LOT without issues but you’d want to consider other options for games.
