I love looking at books, turning the pages, the smell of them, and how satisfying it is when you turn the last page or realize how far you are into the book. I can't stand e-books purely because I can't do any of those things. Same with audio books, but I also find that 1) the readers/narrators read really slow (the one book I listened to was over 8 hours long. It cut off halfway through the book, though, so it was probably close to 15 or 16 hours long) 2) I just love reading words on pages, so audio books aren't for me

@@hipeople9856 I agree with that. And for some reason I don't get any headaches or migraines when I read for hours, as opposed to looking at a screen for half that time. The feeling and the accomplishment of how long you've come since the last couple of hours is amazing. I like feeling the weight from the book too, and looking at my collection, being able to show some close friends and maybe even lend them a few ones if I trust them enough with them. I'm really bad at visualizing characters like when a character is described having a long blonde hair, in my head they would have black hair (for some reason). And when the character decided cut their hair in the middle of the book, "he/she took an axe and chopped off their long blonde hair" I'm like the heck since when do they have blonde hair?
Yeah same. In the Divergent Trilogy i always thought about a blonde girl when it comes to Christina.... yeah than i watched the movies and my mind exploded
OH MY GOSH! I'm not alone! My brain just decides to be a savage and make it's own decisions on what the character looks like. *"you don't own me" begins to play*
Sometimes I’ll envision characters how I want them to look not necessarily how the book describes them. Most times it’s cuz I forget the character descriptions but when I do realize they’re not described as the book describes them, I don’t change it cuz I’ve gotten use to the way I envision them.
+Evandro Roberto Saaaame. A booktuber is most honest when they're not afraid to voice unpopular opinions. I connect with the person a lot more when someone uploads a video of them unhauling or stuff, because I know I'm getting their honest thoughts on it.

+readbyzoe Adult colouring books are great! Otherwise I just listen to audiobooks before bed, when my eyes are too blurry/exhausted from the day (yet my brain isn't) haha.
1. I hate eBooks, i will never ever read a book on a device unless its like, wattpad 2. I get forehead deep in the fandoms, so much that it might me bad for my mental state 3. I've only just started collecting my books AND I HAVE NO WHERE TO PUT THEM
😂😂 I dont have ebook but i did have wattpad. I dont read wattpad anymore since i cant read in school😔 *#NoBringingOfPhonesInSchool* (I still bring my phone but dont read☝shhhhh😂)
when I'm reading if a sentence goes to the next page I will keep reading the book until a page ends with the full sentence on one page at the end of said page
+Bianca Aguirre omg same I do too but I'm kinda a fast paced reader so I read quickly while I walk and look up quickly to make sure don't bump into anyone or anything lol
this is so me. I read everytime and everywhere. in bus, while walking, in the break in school. you hardly see me not reading. and when i read in public i mostly also listen to music and with some luck, the song has the same emotion as the book gives me in that moment;)
+Twihard Gleek The best part about listening to music and reading, in my opinion, is when you have an intense battle/scene going on and the music matches that perfectly. It adds so much excitement xD.
+Jack Grimm I totally get it! I picked up a children's book from Barnes and noble and it was my favorite book as I child so I got it for that very reason and everyone was like "wth he's like 20 or something and reading a baby book".
+Enrique Valdez i dont read that much middle grade or kids books so when people see me they're like "you're the most intellectual and mature person I know why are you reading Cat in the Hat?"
1. If I know there's gonna be a movie adaptation of a book, I watch the trailer first to see if I'm interested and then I will read the book before seeing the movie. 2. If I physically fit the description of a book character, I imagine myself as that character. 3. I love alphabetizing my books on my shelves. It's kinda therapeutic :)
1) if there are two pages left in a chapter, (side by side), I would quickly glance at the end of the sentence of the second page to see what happens (just a glimpse!!) 2) I don't usually fancast the book characters either but for some reason i have a set of characters in my head that are already 'casted' for the main characters. 3) i like to read the book nude and without the cover. ;)
I read the acknowledgments in every book because I don't want it to end 😭😭I love when books have maps too because books rarely keep the reader updated with the concept of time and how long it takes them to get places and how many days are passing.. Etc etcAnd I can just stop reading in the middle of a sentence sometimes and not even care because I am hungry or something I need to do is weighing on my mind so I stop reading go and do it and then when I open then book my eyes usually go right to the sentence I left off on ! 😱😂😂 Those are my 3 bookish facts about me ☺️☺️
For the maps part, there is this one book series, the first book is called Deep Blue (it centers around a character named Serafina, it's written by Jennifer Donnelly) and (the edition that I have) has two maps on it
Yayyy, you did it! This was really interesting! Also, picture books are weirdly soothing. Like they're just such lovely simple stories and they often are so stunningly designed and illustrated, so no judgement here!
Don't let other people stop you from posting unhauling book video! I seriously enjoy unhauling videos. as for 3 bookish facts about me: I love night reading, I'm a book blogger who enjoys both reading blog posts and watching booktube videos, and I read everything (even the ones that aren't in my comfort zone) :)
I've just recently found your channel and have watched like all your videos these past couple of days and I just have to say - you're like one of the most likeable people on youtube! I just get so happy listening to you and your silly personality just brightens my day! Stay awesome
I can't stand not finishing a book. I've re-read The Chronicles of Narnia at least a dozen times. I watched LoTR before reading the books-but then I did go read them and thoroughly enjoyed them!
I can relate to so many of these bookish facts about you. Also usually fan art helps me to build the characters in my head if the fan art looks similar to how I would’ve pictured a character. Love this video 💕
I love your videos! Please do more unboxings. Don't listen to the haters! Also I think your reviews are the best. Honestly you're just really cool and I wish I could met you.
I don't finish series fast. People are always mad and think that I'm somehow letting the whole fandom down but actually I just want to be in the story's world longer and enjoy the possibilities before the end. Also the organization of a series on a bookcase can be the death nell and heaven of book display. The extras that publishers add to books, like little flourishes around the edges, and small pictures, textured covers are amazing and make the story that more real and tangible. Love the reviews - honest and true to reading and readers everywhere - keep it up!
First bookish fact: i got a book signed by its author but it is towards a friend of her who is a philologist (professor) and then her frien signed it too saying it is now her turn to give it away to somebody so she gave it to me as a birthday present back to when I was nine years old. Secondly, all of the bookmarks I use are handmade. I actually have bookmarks that basically advertise other books cause they are from bookstores (I mean duhh) but I never ever use them. Only the ones I make. And the third bookish fact about me is that I can finish a book in a really short period of time but it takes me freakin ages to find the courage and start reading another book once I finish the last one.
First off, I loved this tag! it looks like so much fun, and I guess one bookish fact about me was that I used to hate reading because when I was younger I had dyslexia pretty bad, but over the years, and with a ton of practice I hardly ever struggle reading (unless its like 3 in the morning and then I start reading up the page not down)!
I loved this video! A bookish fact about me is when I was younger I read all the time at school but was bullied for it. This put me off from reading in front of people for years but now I carry a book with me wherever I go and don't care what people think!
I love children's picture books too! They have some of the most beautiful illustrations/artwork. I have to opposite problem when it comes to predicting books, TV shows, movies - I almost ALWAYS know what's coming.
Just wanted to let you know that I really love the way you do book reviews with the non-spoiler part first and then you tell us to leave when you get to the spoiler part. In addition to that though, if I see that it's a book I haven't read or have no interest in, I'll probably scroll past the video (not just you, I'd do it to anyone.)
When I'm reading I tend to count how many pages each chapter is so I can mentally prepare myself for long chapters. I sometimes skip around in intense scenes on accident and then self- spoil plot twists. When reading, I pretend the book is a movie I'm watching so I can imagine how things are happening in my head and will sometimes cast myself as a character.
Awesome video Jesse! Recently I bought a bookshelf from Walmart and failed at building it.... :( I don't know how you and Kat do it! Anyway my bookish facts are: 1. I have a hard time writing negative reviews on books. 2. Once I am in a reading slump, I am depressed! 3. I have a habit of watching booktubers like you, right after I read a book so that I can hear everyone's thoughts!
DUDE. Same with the fan casting. I rarely picture actors (unless they are explicitly mentioned in the book, which actually happened to me once recently) when I'm reading. Even writing. And it's not that I don't know any actors, because one of my weird talents is remembering actors' names and what movies they're in. Imagination for the win!
I don't intentionally fan cast books-however if I'm reading and there happens to be a certain tv show I'm obsessed with at the time, characters from the show will be the characters in the book. I was obsessed with Teen Wolf while I read Red Queen and now half the characters in the book appear to me as characters from Teen Wolf
bookish facts about me: 1) I love to listen to the rain when i read! if it isn’t raining, then i put on a soundtrack of rain in the background 2) My favourite book is “The Art of Racing in the Rain” by Garth Stein and I’ve read it 9 times 3) My favourite harry potter movie is the chamber of secrets but my favourite book is the prisoner of azkaban
1) I love listening to rain as I read, preferably a storm 2) My favorite book is ... Jk... I don't have one. The top 4 are the HP books, the maximum ride series, the Violet Eden Chapters, and the Percy Jacksons. And like a million more. 3) My favorite HP movie is either chamber of secrets or order of the Phoenix, and favorite book is either prisoner of Azkaban or order of the Phoenix. As you can see, I'm very indecisive
1. I have to read alongside an audiobook it helps me immerse myself into the story more 2. It has to be completely silent for me to read and concentrate 3. I enjoy having a snack and drink while reading (smart food white cheddar popcorn and crystal light water)
1) I've got 4 1st Editions of Harry Potter, from my late grandmother, and I got really excited thinking that they would be worth loads of money, I would never sell them but you get my drift, but then found out that its quite common in the later books to have 1st editions. 2) Katytastic was the first booktuber that I watched, but I must say now that Jessethereader is my favourite. I do love all book tubers though! 3) My favourite book of all time is I am the messenger by Marcus Zusak. Thanks for the video Jesse! I re-watch them when I feel sad and you make me smile! Keep up the good work!
The reason I don't always watch your book reviews is because sometimes it's a book I plan to read soon and I don't like knowing anything about it! Keep making them though!!
You're always so entertaining to watch ^.^ A few bookish facts about me:1) I don't get drawn into fandoms very easily, even though I love seeing others so passionate about them 2) it takes me an average of 2-3 hours to read 100 pages, depending on the density of the book3) I will write notes in my book and underline passages all day, but I take extreme care to keep new books in new condition on the outside :P
I love book review videos! I'm also obsessed with bookstagram and recently have starting bookstagramming. You were one of the first people I followed. I love your channel!
1. I’m good at predicting how books are going to go (and people’s lives) 2. Recently just got a bookshelf for all my books after 10 years because I didn’t have enough space in my tiny room (got rid of a lot of my things recently) 3. I’ve been in a reading slump for the last year or so and barely read as many books as I’ve wanted off my shelf. Hoping quarantine will help with that.
The Candy crush-thing is so true, sometimes when I'm playing the game I can hear the audiobook I was listening to while playing that particular level, even though I'm not listening!
I think these facts are very interesting. I also don't fan cast my characters either. And if you ever do an unhaul, I would personally love to see it because I like to know everyone's opinions on books before I read them
i listen to audiobooks before sleep and it will be the best sleep ever. i can't multitask between eating & reading and that sucks because i love doing both of them. busses and trains are my favorite places to read .-.
Hi I just wanted you to know that I'm going to play this in a Reading class I'm teaching as an example of how to talk about yourself as a reader. Keep up the good work!
I am starting to read children's books too. The covers are always so pretty and catch my eye. It's still a book so why does it matter if you read a children's book? I don't see a problem with it. I also haven't finished The Infernal Devices. I only read Clockwork Angel. Although I don't remember anything so I have to re-read it. I also haven't read the last book of The Dark Artifices as well as Kingdom of Ashes. I also constantly update my reading status on GoodReads. I now have the habit of updating it after reading a chapter.
I'm good at starting a series, good at finishing a series but HORRIBLE at reading the second book in a series. The amount of series that are just sitting on the 2nd book and growing old (to the point where I feel like I need to reread the first because I remember nothing) is ridiculous! Frustrates me so much because I know I'll love them.
I'm horrible at imagining how a character might look so I always fancast them. When I try to imagine them they change so much in my mind that I get stressed.
I love spoilers. Seriously, I will hunt them out. I like when covers don't match because I think it makes a more interesting shelf. And I always read the last page before I read the first.
Omg I cried at the end because Jesse was always complaining to me back in the day (lmao three months ago) how he didn’t have a set schedule and now my baby Jesse has grown and and I’m crying
Haha, I always have Goodreads open. Always! As for children's picture books, I have kids, so I get to read them all the time. They are usually not even there and I'll still be sitting there reading them out loud.
I also watched Harry Potter 1-5 first because I waited to read the books until I had them all. Once seven was released I read them all in just under two weeks. I also have not finished Mortal Instruments or read Infernal Devices, and it doesn't really bother me. Unread books are wonderful because there have been times when I cannot afford new books and they are there happily waiting to be enjoyed.
The Harry Potter and the last one are soooo me! The books did not get ruined whatsoever! And whenever people post things like "I wish he/she played this character not the actor/actress that got the part" I'm just sitting here like "well, I don't even imagine real people as the characters sooo"
I can not believe I found only now! I mean your videos are awesome, even for me, who is trying to write stories. Love your energy. Thanks for being there. :)
1. Bookstores and libraries are safe places to me. I literary calm down even when I'm very stressed after I walk into one. It's like entering a fairy land. 2. I realized that I prefer middle-grade books to YA because they are often less childish (paradoxical as it may sound), they are not afraid to deal with big themes and they are often better crafted, more challenging and more entertaining than much YA and adult literature. Often the best books are labeled "for young and old readers alike". 3. I also love children picture books (or when there are pictures in books in general). When I manage to find a perfect blend of fine art and a text - it's like music to my eyes and soul. Wonderful video, Jesse, thank you for making my day better
I can totally relate to quite a few of those! Nice video! Here’s my 3: 1. I have a bad tendency of reading the first book of a series, and then leaving the others in an ever-growing TBR pile. However, I do have a lot of completed series! 2. I have a bad habit of not reading Netgalley books right away... ^-^ 3. on long trips, I read in the car until I fall asleep. When I wake up, I read some more. Usually our long car trips are 8ish hours, so I can usually finish a book in that time :)
never clicked a notification so fast. I LOVE CANDY CRUSH!!! PICTURE books are da best jesseeeee mortal instruments!!! airport bookstores are so overpriceddddd soooo bookshelf problems 😂😂 no such thing as too many books my favorite videos of yours are the tags. they are hilarious!!!
I LOVE your videos! I'm Brazilian and all that I want is improve my English to read all your book suggestions! But I can't understand a lot of things right now, so I hope to get better sooner 😅😅 You're amazing!
I watched the Harry Potter movies before I read the books as well and I agree it doesn't make a difference! There are so many details in the books that they just can't fit into 2 hours worth of a movie and the books are incredible.
I have unhauled more than half of my personal library because I just didn't care for YA literature or contemporary fiction anymore. Now I am rebuilding my library with adult fiction saturated with magical realism, but I really only own ten-ish books at the moment. I would buy more and my to-buy list is fairly long but I'm actually really hesitant to spend the money on some of them, so before I devote to spending recklessly I'll check the book out at the library first and see how I like it.
1: I can walk and read but I can't read in cars because it makes me feel sick 2: spoilers don't normally bug me because when I do get spoiled want to know how the spoiler happened and why so it only drives me to want to read more 3: Even though I don't like Twilight anymore I will still recommend it to people because it's a fun light read to really good for someone that beginning to get into novels and YA Bonus: My favorite author is Meg Cabot because Princess Diaries got me started on my hardcore novel reading. And I didn't even want to read it at first because I thought it would be to girly for my taste but a friend talked me into it. before I knew it finished all 7 (that was all that was out at the time) and need to read more so I started picking up more books and even with a few slums, I never really stopped
1: I always read the first and last page before I actually start reading 2: I don´t read books in my native language (I am Swedish so I read in English) 3: I put books on the right shelves if I see something in the wrong place in the school library
1. I'm a reeeeeeally slow reader :P except for those rare few I read in like a day without putting the book down 2. I've met one of my most favourite authors 3 times at a local convention (Jennifer Fallon). Her Wolfblade series was one of those hard to put down ones, it was also an impulse buy the first time I met her. I knew nothing about her or the series when I bought it, except that I had seen it it local bookstores. I now own almost every book she's published. 3. My favourite childhood author is Enid Blyton :)
A lot of book tubers say reviews don't get many views. I personally only watch them if I have read the book as to not spoil it for me. But if do get around to watching them eventually
1 . I don't think when I read. I'm not asking questions about anything I am completely in the story and am only thinking what the person in perspective is thinking 2. I love the smell of books I don't know why but it smells so good. 3. I am a speed reader the most pages I have read in on day is 1247
I like review videos. I sometimes watch your reviews if it's a book I own so that I'm not tempted to go out and buy another book. If I'm interested in a buying a book, then I will watch a review. I think most people don't watch reviews because they are afraid of spoilers. I don't mind, because I actually always forget spoiler until the moment am reading it and I remember having prior knowledge of it, but it can ruin a book for a lot of people. I hope you keep making them.
I’m so glad I found this channel!! 1.) I refused to read Harry Potter when it first came out because I was a very hipster child and didn’t want to read them because they were so popular 😂 2.) When I did finally read Harry Potter I read all of them in one summer for the summer reading program at our library. I loved the books and ended up winning Cedar Point tickets, so it was overall a really great (and magical) experience! 3.) I have a stack of 4 books on my nightstand that I am currently reading 😅
I love getting new books but like you I always struggle when it comes to putting them on my bookshelf. I get awful reading slumps sometimes and it's the worst because then I go really long times without reading .
The Goodreads thing is so true for me! And I hate when I need to put new books on a shelf (mine at my dads is rainbow so I have to move things everywhere)
Reviews are some of my favorite videos to do, too and I love that you do so many on your channel. :) I totally get you on the stress about adding new books to your shelves and constantly having to shift. I had to do this yesterday and yea...never satisfied. Never satisfied. Haha.
1.) Once I start a series, I have to finish it, no matter how bad it is or how long it takes. 2.) It takes me forever to read ebooks (I mean months), while it only takes me a couple days or weeks to read an actual book (a physical copy). 3.) I love to read page-to-screen books. Most of the books I've read have either been a movie or TV show :) 4.) I don't really have autobuy authors; I have autobuy series 5.) I'm a sucker for a book/series with a lot of crazy, sudden plot twists. Bloodlines by Richelle Mead has a ton of them and I loved that series, as well as Vampire Academy
1. I have seen several movies before reading the books- e.g. eragon, Harry Potter, lord of the rings. 2. The first time I met my favourite author (Garth Nix) all I managed to say was “ your my favourite author “. 3. I wrote a poem for a poetry book entry when I was at school age 11and I was one of only 7 people in my school to have their poem published.
3 bookish facts 'bout me: - I love re-reading as much as I love reading new books - I pretty much only buy books that have covers that I like. If I don't like the cover and still want to read the book I'll either buy the ebook or borrow it from the library (or I wait and hope the books will get a cover change) - I also play like IPad games and stuff when I'm listening to an audio book!
I play either Candy Crush, Spider Solitaire, or computer pinball while I listen to audio-books... obsessively And I love to read children's books out loud. The best ones always have such a great rhythm.
1. I read the Harry Potter series book then movie, book then movie. (My mum made me and I'm kinda happy she did cause it made me love books so.) 2. I have a book shelf for series and another for standalones. 3. My booklist for the Christmas that just past consisted of over 80 books and I only got 4 of them...
1 i have an official reading initiation and an unofficial one 2 i feel my library is just to small, but at the same time i don’t want to just fill it i want to fill it with books I’ve read and or know for sure i will read, and also i never keep the books i don’t like. 3 i simply love British literature Bonus #4 i have a real hard time when i find a edition i like but don’t have of a book that i love, and not wanting to have it, even if i already have the book
1) I saw all the 8 Harry Potter films before reading the series. I only had the first one read before the movies started coming out. 2) I too have not finished the Mortal Instrument series. I didn't jump on the band wagon when they first came out so I have had to hide myself from spoilers :-( 3) I really enjoy themed TBRs. So if there something special about that month I like my TBR for that month to reflect it.
I can't stand when my mom says: "yeah, Liana is a big reader", person: "why don't you buy her an Ebook? It would be less expensive than buying all those books!" Me: *death stare* I want to feel the pages and smell it's fragance, okay?! Technology is taking over the world!".
I love looking at books, turning the pages, the smell of them, and how satisfying it is when you turn the last page or realize how far you are into the book. I can't stand e-books purely because I can't do any of those things. reading an ebook just isn't as fun, it doesn't make me want to read the book as much as actually holding it in my hands does
Am I the only one who imagines basically every female character as... well... me?
+Vladimíra Dudová - I think a lot of readers do that. You are not alone.
I do that! I imagine I'm them and j am the actor in the movie they are going to make out of it! ( even though they probably won't make the film)
+Anythingthatsrandom i do that too^^ I once even had a dream where I was the main character in my fav movie...
+sauseperle same!!!
No matter who the character is if the chapter is from their pov I can see it through their eyes.
I'm really bad at visualizing characters like when a character is described having a long blonde hair, in my head they would have black hair (for some reason). I really like book unhauls and negative reviews. That's when I know I can trust a booktuber.
Yep. For some reason, if a booktuber gives every book 5 stars, I'm like hmmmm.
+Evandro Roberto Yes! The unhaul videos and the unpopular opinions tag are my absolute favorites to watch!!
+Evandro Roberto Saaaame. A booktuber is most honest when they're not afraid to voice unpopular opinions. I connect with the person a lot more when someone uploads a video of them unhauling or stuff, because I know I'm getting their honest thoughts on it.
Saame, I never trust five star reviews

I've only listened to audio books when I'm driving because I didn't know what people did with themselves when they weren't driving. Like stare at the wall or finger paint or something? Next time I'll try out your Candy Crush method! Thanks Jesse and great video :D
+readbyzoe the candy crush method is the BEST method imo. ;)
+jessethereader Absolutely! Although I prefer Jelly Splash. Same concept though :)
I listen to audio books while cleaning and stuff like that. I tried listening to audio books while driving... can't do it. I need to be focused on the road traffic and I noticed I'm not 100% focused on it while listening to audio books which is sad actually.
+readbyzoe I have discovered crochet-ing while listening to audiobooks this year - it's a winner! :)
+readbyzoe Adult colouring books are great! Otherwise I just listen to audiobooks before bed, when my eyes are too blurry/exhausted from the day (yet my brain isn't) haha.

Haley Britney all your bookish facts are true for me too
😂😂
I dont have ebook but i did have wattpad. I dont read wattpad anymore since i cant read in school😔 *#NoBringingOfPhonesInSchool*
(I still bring my phone but dont read☝shhhhh😂)
Hailey Marie you can make a bookshelf out of books
WATTPADIANS YAS
when I'm reading if a sentence goes to the next page I will keep reading the book until a page ends with the full sentence on one page at the end of said page
ya boi Lancelot
I thought everyone did that! Was I wrong? If so, people who stop reading in the middle of a page are crazy! I could never do that.
Same!!
One bookish fact about me is I will walk and read. If you don't move I will run into you because I can't just stop reading at any random spot. :-)
👌🏻me too , every Time 😄
+Bianca Aguirre I do that, too, but I often end up stumbling or tripping.
We all secretly read children's picture books...don't lie.
I really wanna read Dr Suess books all the time but I feel like people will judge me
+Jack Grimm I totally get it!
+Jack Grimm because dr.suess is bae 💁
Yes 💁💁💁
That John green convo...the awkwardness THE REGRET lolol
+vincentvanstop ALL THE REGRET I CAN'T
+jessethereader WE ALMOST HAD A SELFIE WITH KING GREEN. BUT NOPE. ALL OF US STOOD THERE STUNNED.
+Shomar Coyle there is a pun in there. okay
i visit goodreads literally every hour just to scroll through my to-read list thinking "I'll read you someday... just you wait"
Sophia Mok Lmao😂😂 I should start doing dat XD
1. I've read The Hobbit 6 times
2. The Kane Chronicles are my favorite Rick Riordan books
3. Fanfiction is my lifeeee
I can't stay away from fanfic
Yes. Rick Riordan is amazing. I've read the Harry Potter's 6 or 7 times (at least)
“THE HOBBIT”!!!! MY FAVORITE BOOK!!!
i never do fancasting - it really doesn't even come close to my mind
Jasmin Laufeyson are you a Loki fan? Cos I am one too😂
1) if there are two pages left in a chapter, (side by side), I would quickly glance at the end of the sentence of the second page to see what happens (just a glimpse!!)
2) I don't usually fancast the book characters either but for some reason i have a set of characters in my head that are already 'casted' for the main characters.
Those are my 3 bookish facts about me ☺️☺️
For the maps part, there is this one book series, the first book is called Deep Blue (it centers around a character named Serafina, it's written by Jennifer Donnelly) and (the edition that I have) has two maps on it
Yayyy, you did it!
I love that you had a Lemony Snicket picture book!!!!!
I've just recently found your channel and have watched like all your videos these past couple of days and I just have to say - you're like one of the most likeable people on youtube! I just get so happy listening to you and your silly personality just brightens my day! Stay awesome
littlemissfrodo1 Agreed! And he is HILARIOUS
Honestly you're just really cool and I wish I could met you.
unhaul, girl. not unboxing 😊
+Courtnay yeah, trust me! many more unboxings to come. haha.
jessethereader Oh hai! That's good to know, I enjoy unboxings!
I'll start watching your review videos! I got spoiled once by someone else's "non-spoiler review" so I tend to stay away. I'll trust you.
I put up warnings when I talk spoilers. :)
Same
I don't finish series fast.
Always look forward to the book reviews!! Especially loved the Cassie Clare ones!
Love your videos Jesse!! You are amazing!!😍😍😍😍
I'm currently reading Passenger because it is the booksplosion book of the month and I'm loving it!!😍😍😍😍😍
+Gerard SM 18!! I'm also obsessed with bookstagram please check out mine!! It would be lovely!! It is gersolmar !!😍😍😍😍
Anyway my bookish facts are:
1. I have a hard time writing negative reviews on books.
2. Once I am in a reading slump, I am depressed!
3. I have a habit of watching booktubers like you, right after I read a book so that I can hear everyone's thoughts!
I also read before bed! I like listening to music while I read. And I really like when the song fits the scene in the book I'm reading (:
OMG the rate at which you're uploaded videos is amazing!!! You're my favorite UA-camr and I love you so much!!!
I understand how you feel about series! I hate starting them because it's almost like you have to commit to reading the next five in the series
bookish facts about me:
1) I love to listen to the rain when i read! if it isn’t raining, then i put on a soundtrack of rain in the background
2) My favourite book is “The Art of Racing in the Rain” by Garth Stein and I’ve read it 9 times
3) My favourite harry potter movie is the chamber of secrets but my favourite book is the prisoner of azkaban
1) I love listening to rain as I read, preferably a storm
2) My favorite book is ...
1. I have to read alongside an audiobook it helps me immerse myself into the story more
2. It has to be completely silent for me to read and concentrate
The Chaos walking series could possibly be my favorite series ever
The reason I don't always watch your book reviews is because sometimes it's a book I plan to read soon and I don't like knowing anything about it! Keep making them though!!
You're always so entertaining to watch ^.^ A few bookish facts about me:1) I don't get drawn into fandoms very easily, even though I love seeing others so passionate about them
2) it takes me an average of 2-3 hours to read 100 pages, depending on the density of the book3) I will write notes in my book and underline passages all day, but I take extreme care to keep new books in new condition on the outside :P
I love book review videos! I'm also obsessed with bookstagram and recently have starting bookstagramming. You were one of the first people I followed. I love your channel!
1. I’m good at predicting how books are going to go (and people’s lives)
2. Recently just got a bookshelf for all my books after 10 years because I didn’t have enough space in my tiny room (got rid of a lot of my things recently)
I did the same thing with Harry! I started reading the books like 3 months before The Order of the Phoenix was out and I STILL LOVED THEM
Omg loved how you did the blooper thing
I think these facts are very interesting. I also don't fan cast my characters either. And if you ever do an unhaul, I would personally love to see it because I like to know everyone's opinions on books before I read them
Your reviews are the best!!! They're not too long, but they're still so informative!
i listen to audiobooks before sleep and it will be the best sleep ever. i can't multitask between eating & reading and that sucks because i love doing both of them. busses and trains are my favorite places to read .-.
I love children's picture books too! And yes I add them to my yearly reading goal on GR
The book I've read the most is probably The Fellowship of the Ring (20+ times) for some reason.I just love it so much
I am sooo happy that you are a huge fan of the Ms. Peregrine's series as well! I always feel I'm the only one who loves that series to death ^^,
This was great! I am so glad that I am not the only one who loves airport librarys and doesnt fan cast!
The Harry Potter and the last one are soooo me! The books did not get ruined whatsoever! And whenever people post things like "I wish he/she played this character not the actor/actress that got the part" I'm just sitting here like "well, I don't even imagine real people as the characters sooo"
Your John Green story is really funny. I'd probably be the exact same way, I'd probably be excessively crying too. He's just so awesome.
Nice video! Here’s my 3:
1. I have a bad tendency of reading the first book of a series, and then leaving the others in an ever-growing TBR pile. However, I do have a lot of completed series!
2. I have a bad habit of not reading Netgalley books right away... ^-^
3. on long trips, I read in the car until I fall asleep. When I wake up, I read some more. Usually our long car trips are 8ish hours, so I can usually finish a book in that time :)
never clicked a notification so fast.
I LOVE CANDY CRUSH!!!
PICTURE books are da best
jesseeeee mortal instruments!!!
airport bookstores are so overpriceddddd soooo
bookshelf problems 😂😂
no such thing as too many books
my favorite videos of yours are the tags. they are hilarious!!!
I LOVE your videos! I'm Brazilian and all that I want is improve my English to read all your book suggestions! But I can't understand a lot of things right now, so I hope to get better sooner 😅😅
You're amazing!
1: I can walk and read but I can't read in cars because it makes me feel sick
2: spoilers don't normally bug me because when I do get spoiled want to know how the spoiler happened and why so it only drives me to want to read more
3: Even though I don't like Twilight anymore I will still recommend it to people because it's a fun light read to really good for someone that beginning to get into novels and YA
Bonus: My favorite author is Meg Cabot because Princess Diaries got me started on my hardcore novel reading. And I didn't even want to read it at first because I thought it would be to girly for my taste but a friend talked me into it. before I knew it finished all 7 (that was all that was out at the time) and need to read more so I started picking up more books and even with a few slums, I never really stopped
1: I always read the first and last page before I actually start reading
2: I don´t read books in my native language (I am Swedish so I read in English)
3: I put books on the right shelves if I see something in the wrong place in the school library
1. I'm a reeeeeeally slow reader :P except for those rare few I read in like a day without putting the book down
How have I never heard of this tag?! OMG the bookshelf reorganization thing is so me
You are literally becoming my favorite youtuber , not just booktuber but in general 😻😻😻😻😻
1 . I don't think when I read. I'm not asking questions about anything I am completely in the story and am only thinking what the person in perspective is thinking
You are one of my favorite booktubers/youtubers I really love you as a person and your videos! 😊
Can relate to most of these. Especially with the start and finishing series.
I’m so glad I found this channel!!
1.) I refused to read Harry Potter when it first came out because I was a very hipster child and didn’t want to read them because they were so popular 😂
2.) When I did finally read Harry Potter I read all of them in one summer for the summer reading program at our library.
I totally get you on the stress about adding new books to your shelves and constantly having to shift. I had to do this yesterday and yea...never satisfied. Never satisfied. Haha.
SPECIAL DETAILS ON BOOKS AND MAPS ARE GREAT
1.) Once I start a series, I have to finish it, no matter how bad it is or how long it takes.
2.) It takes me forever to read ebooks (I mean months), while it only takes me a couple days or weeks to read an actual book (a physical copy).
3.) I love to read page-to-screen books. Most of the books I've read have either been a movie or TV show :)
4.) I don't really have autobuy authors; I have autobuy series
5.) I'm a sucker for a book/series with a lot of crazy, sudden plot twists.
3 bookish facts 'bout me:
- I love re-reading as much as I love reading new books
- I pretty much only buy books that have covers that I like. If I don't like the cover and still want to read the book I'll either buy the ebook or borrow it from the library (or I wait and hope the books will get a cover change)
- I also play like IPad games and stuff when I'm listening to an audio book!
I play either Candy Crush, Spider Solitaire, or computer pinball while I listen to audio-books... obsessively
And I love to read children's books out loud. The best ones always have such a great rhythm.
I would totally read your book reviews...but I'm always a million years behind you on my reading list. I just watched your Fangirl review though! :)
1. I read the Harry Potter series book then movie, book then movie. (My mum made me and I'm kinda happy she did cause it made me love books so.)
2. I have a book shelf for series and another for standalones.
3. My booklist for the Christmas that just past consisted of over 80 books and I only got 4 of them...
Coffee with coconut creamer is the BOMB!
1 i have an official reading initiation and an unofficial one
2 i feel my library is just to small, but at the same time i don’t want to just fill it i want to fill it with books I’ve read and or know for sure i will read, and also i never keep the books i don’t like.
3 i simply love British literature
Bonus #4 i have a real hard time when i find a edition i like but don’t have of a book that i love, and not wanting to have it, even if i already have the book
1) I saw all the 8 Harry Potter films before reading the series. I only had the first one read before the movies started coming out.
2) I too have not finished the Mortal Instrument series. I didn't jump on the band wagon when they first came out so I have had to hide myself from spoilers :-(
3) I really enjoy themed TBRs. So if there something special about that month I like my TBR for that month to reflect it.
The only that I won't regret this year is subscribing to your channel, u are just awesome 😻
Agreed on that cassie clare spoilers!!!
