I read it only because I wanted to see the movie, but it turned out to be my all time favorite series and it took me several months to finally watch the movie (I was afraid that it wouldn't turn out well, but after watching it I think the movie is great too)

I always like going to the book isle in Walmart whenever I go there with my mom. One time my mom said: "I don't know why you look at them if you never buy anything." Next thing you know I excited Walmart with three books in my hands

Michael Rojas I love the book isle at Walmart! They always have the SAME books and just one shelf on new arrivals and that I already know of from other stores, but I always find myself in that section less than FIVE minutes after entering the store!

A couple weeks ago I went to London with school and my parents gave me €50 and I ended up spending it on 10! books (it's miraculous how I all got them home) but after the trip my parents where like "where did you spend your money on?" and I seriously was like "Uhhhhh".
when my mum asks where the heck did all of my pocket money go and i just say "i don't even know what i spent it on" but i know perfectly...

Krisha Joshi I get you, in India, hardcovers are WAYYY TOO EXPENSIVE. so i somehow convince my parents to get me paperbacks (from amazon instead of bookstores) I probably own one hardback.
Literally every single time I went on trips with school. Even when it was just a city 50 klm away I spent all the money I had in books. But as others have mentioned most books are really expensive in my country so I always opted for the English paperbacks.
Like half of these were just related to colour😂😂😂 (loved it though, all these excuses were so good and I'm definitely gonna use a few😂💖💖)

I spent €79 on Amazon today, and, honestly, that was my exact excuse along with "This one is out of print and just a few used copies are left" and "They don't want money for deliver, NO MONEY FOR DELIVER" and "This one is so pretty and it's already on my list, so why not?" and "I just read the reviews and it is so great, I have to have it" and "Who the fuck needs their Christmas Money, right, it's over anyway"
Today I walked into a bookstore just to smell and pet the books, I thought I didn't have money with me but I ended up having some in my backpack and I seriously thought about nearly all these excuses to buy the book. (I ended up buying it because yeah... I don't know) 😂
