Bulls basketball is temporarily gone. The way Caruso played always brought me back to the drose/noah led bulls due to his passion and hustle on the court. The carushow will be missed in Chicago! Looking forward to seeing how OKC will do next season with him on their team.
I'm not upset about getting Giddey. I'm upset about losing Caruso. He's the only player that gives it all on the court. His grit and hustle is the culture that the Bulls need. This Bulls team is already soft as it is and it just got softer losing Caruso. He will surely be missed.
You know how they acquired all those draft picks, at least in part? By being stingy with them. Also, this is the kind of deal that's tough because it's not one that was talked about where we know what other offers were. You think they weren't going to hold other teams to the fire in the same way?
Josh Giddey is 21 and has 11 triple doubles which is more than the Bulls rosters over the last 5-10 years combined. He was also the no. 6 pick in the 2021 and if he was in this draft he probably would be the first pick. The Bulls need a point guard and size. Losing AC hurts but growth can do that sometimes. Demar will be traded soon as will Zach. We are entering a new era. Let’s not fall into the useless would’ve, should’ve, could’ve mindset because it is a waste of time. More moves are coming so let’s be patient.
Perfectly said. I was arguing with a bulls fan yesterday bc he said without Caruso on the floor, our defense is 24th. But there is a problem in his analysis. The team will be different next year so we don’t know what rank our defense will be with a new look team. Let’s wait for all the moves to be made then comment on the new look bulls
Finally someone with some sense! As a bulls fan I'm happy we got a playmaker. I'd like to believe the shooting coach we hired last off season who Coby and Ayo gave praise throughout the season will be able to help Giddy improve his shot.
Exactly. It was evident since 2022 that this team is closer to the bottom than it is to the top and you have to hit bottom in order to climb to the top. That’s just how the system works. So what the defense will suck? So what the team will suck? Every team that’s good right now had sucked before getting their superstars. Caruso is a valuable asset, but he doesn’t do much for a team in need of a major overhaul and playmakers. By the time we’re good enough to need his services again he’d be making $25 mil a year and a defensive liability instead of a defensive specialist.
They took a gamble by trading a reliable veteran for a young player with high potential. This young guy put up impressive numbers while the team's star was out. It's a risky move, but the chance to land a future All-Star is much harder to find in the mid-to-late first round (picks 15-18).
Yep, this isn’t the NFL draft we’re talking about, and most mid to late 1sts don’t even produce bench quality players much less superstars that we need to win a championship with. Just look at what this regime did with the #18 overall in the 2022 draft: Dalen Terry who the coaching staff had deemed unplayable as soon as he was drafted. Do people want two more Dalen Terrys on this team? 😂
As an OKC fan, I wish Josh would do well in his new environment. He was a good dude, did not complain even if he's playing out of position and did everything the team asked him for us to win. He just didnt fit the style Mark wants to play. I wish he would succeed and be the MIP this season so bulls fan like you can eat your words. Also, judging a person based on what you just read from social media without knowing the whole truth is just lazy and stupid. I liked your vids, im a subscriber on your other channel. But ive seen enough of Josh Giddey slander ever since this trade happened. Wish him all the best on his next chapter
@@BullsCentral thats probably a stretch but I wouldnt be surprised if he became Luka lite if develops his shooting minus the ref complaining. I hope he balls out this upcoming season and be on a triple double tear in the East
@@David.560_- bro was in an 18+ club as a 19 year old and met a 16 year old who had no business being there and giddy had no reason to think that she isnt 18 either yall need to chill out
@@David.560_- once she told him the truth, he reported it to the team and then cut ties with her. He was being blackmailed at the beginning of the season about this, and then if this was about exposing him, then why doxx her? That’s a move to get revenge, not to catch a predator.
So many people acting like we traded James harden for Ben Simmons. I love what alex gave us. But he was hurt a lot and it’s not like we was maken the playoffs . He deserves to be playing for a title
This exactly. Lots of people want us to rebuild and after this trade we are going to be bad. Caruso was great but now we have a 6’8 21 year old guard who was a lottery pick 3 years ago.
@@drryu67 And Simmons was a first overall pick. What does it matter if he was a lottery pick? He has regressed since his rookie year. He was just exposed big time in the playoffs. They cut his minutes because he wasn't conducive to winning. Two years ago this would have been a good trade. We are going to have to pay Giddey soon. We gifted Caruso to them. A pick would have been a much better option. This just tells me we intend to roll it back one more time. Our front office thinks they just got Lonzo Ball 2.0. We are gonna try to trade Zach for like...Clint Capella and our front office will think they are geniuses for getting the rim protecting big we always needed. We are the worst run organization in the league. I'm glad you're optimistic but this was bad. Giddey wasn't just a non factor in the playoffs... He was actively bad. He hurt the team when he was on the floor. We overpaid for a player whose value should have been the lowest it's ever been.
I'm not upset. He's 21 and immediately the best playmaker that the Bulls have outside of Lonzo Ball. I'll wait until the rest of the off-season plays out to make a final opinion. As far as the allegations go, he was 19 and met the girl at a 18+ nightclub where she got in with a fake ID. He didn't know she was 16 and even in that case, it happened in Oklahoma where the age of consent is 16. Legally, he ain't Karl Malone.
He’s just a creep.. it’s perfectly fine guys 😂 we were all making fun of him while he was on the Thunder. But now 😂😂 he’s a innocent man that got tricked by the 🐱 our dude had no clue she was that young
Exactly! The pedo allegations on a 21 year old for messing with a girl a couple years his junior are ridiculous. Giddey was 19 hanging out at an 18+ club where one should assume everyone there is of legal age. The girl was in the club when she had no business being there, she knew she was wrong and that's why the investigation went nowhere.
I've been watching multiple videos on this. I don't feel as upset as yesterday. We should of traded Lavine, Caruso, Derozan, and Vuch sooner for more. Giddey has potential, and I guess we are tanking for 2025 draft.
That’s not happening. This front office delusionaly thinks they have a shot to run it back so we finna see a whole lot of mediocre basketball until all star break where they on a8-9 game losing streak then they blow it up. when the bulls in the running for the number one pick ( who will prob be a bum anyways ) they will win 12 straight and finish 10th just to get in the play in tourney tournament with nobody watching. This is the sad life of a bulls fan in the 2000s 🫣
So here’s my thought on day 2 - I’m ok with this IF getting younger is the goal. If we resign DeRozan on a long-term, expensive contract and/or don’t get draft assets or young talent for Lavine, then why are we doing it?
From what Joe Cowley shared on 670 The Score, the only chances for the Bulls to get a first-round draft pick were for the 2024 draft, not 2025. Next year's draft is projected to be a very deep class and most teams with high 2025 draft picks are holding on to them. If that is true, it makes sense why OKC - and other teams - didn't give the Bulls 2025 picks (which is probably what they wanted for Caruso). While I will miss Caruso (he was my favorite player on the Bulls), I think Giddy works better in the long run - provided the Bulls make more moves. We'll see. It's a start. Yes, the off-court stuff was/is a concern, but if the league and law enforcement did an investigation and nothing was found, this could end up being a steal for us.
I know we’re all crying over Caruso rn, and thats ok. But in Giddy defense he is still very young. He’s a good piece for a rebuild, assuming we get good value for Lavine and Derozen
Giddy may still be young.. but he’s already in his last year of his rookie deal so enjoy paying up for his services next year or losing all value in this Caruso trade and let the pedo walk😂 yayy
@JayRandom2013 Bro, he's going to be all right. Chicago made a smart move. The Bulls weren't going to get Giddey and draft picks. That wasn't going to happen. It was. either Giddey or the 12 pick in this draft. I'd rather take the player than the pick in this draft. I like Ac too but, the Bulls have a really good young player in Josh.
@@chainlink5317 i don’t think he’s that good at anything aside from passing and rebounding and just because he’s 21 doesn’t mean he’s guaranteed to get better
@@JayRandom2013 You speak as if there is zero chance for the 21 year old to continue improving. The move is just as much about his future potential as it is his current talent. He has slightly improved his shooting every year and shot 80% from the FT line last season. He's not as bad as some make him out to be. Give him his comfortable on ball role and more time/experience and this deal could age wonderfully. Also you say "besides pass"....ehh you are massively underselling his skills there. He was one of the best passers on the planet.. He got OKC multiple free buckets a game just off his inbound passing vision/skill alone. A+ trade risk/reward here.
I really don’t mind this trade at all. Would have been nice to get a 2nd round pick at least but I strongly believe this kid has something to prove and he will soon be playing for the Boomers in the olympics and if he can lead them to a strong Olympics performance that will mean a lot for his confidence. Boomers have a great culture and have opened there arms to Giddey so the big thing for us bulls fans is to keep an eye and hope for a good Olympic run for giddey because that will be huge for his confidence coming into the season.
you have a platform and right to tell fans that pressure needs to be applied on jerry reinsdorf and akme needs to be fired. not getting a pick from the okc thunder is the definition of insanity im sorry my head is insanely hot
So you’d rather have multiple 1sts outside of top 10 than Giddey? All of OKC’s 1sts are outside of top 10 for the foreseeable future, and they’re not giving up a 21-year old with upside AND another 1st for a 30-year old defensive specialist on an expiring contract. Knowing the draft and especially Bulls’ draft record, I’d take Giddey who’s more talented than anybody they could’ve drafted this year.
@@JayRandom2013 oh, so 8 rebounds a game for a point guard is not a talent? 16.5 ppg on 48% shooting as a 20-year old is not a talent? I guess you think 99.9% of the NBA is not very talented then cuz not too many 20-year olds did what he did in 2022! Lmao
@@JayRandom2013 guess what Jayson Tatum averaged as a 20-year old? 16, 6, and 2 on 45% shooting. Guess what Jaylen Brown averaged as a 20-year old? 6.6, 2.8, and 0.8 on 45% shooting. I guess two talent-less hack by your standards just took the Celtics to a championship! 😂
Caruso’s aging body with his style of play is on the decline and will be lucky to to contribute much in the playoffs for OKC. Giddy is a proven young player with a lot of potential. Let’s see what happens next. No need to be reactionary.
Presti gave us a player they didnt even want anymore for AN ALL DEFENSE PLAYER. I got no beef with Giddey, but not even a pick from a team with hundreds of draft picks? FAIL
Too add to this. Giddey is good passer but he likes to pass to cutters. Last I checked, the only player on the Bulls that actually cut to the lane was Caruso...
My hunch is, the reason you guys did not get a pick is because your GM is the one who called Presti to inquire about Giddey not the other way around. If im presti, why would I offer a pick if you are the one who wants one of our players?
@@elementkx problem solved!!! Buzelis is a great cutter, and obviously a no-brainer when he fell to pick 11. Giddey passing cutters open is going to mesh really well with Buzelis who is already a really good cutter at age 19.
Giddey would be the number 1 or 2 pick this year. We traded a an injury prone 30 year old for a 20 year old with big potential. It’s not a home run trade at all but it’s a move to right direction
I know the trendy thing to do lately is rip on Giddey, but the reality is the Bulls got a good deal in exchange for Caruso. People need to remember that Giddey is only 21. Let's say they instead got a pick like so many people wanted, how realistic is it really to draft a versatile point guard who has shown he can orchestrate a competitive team while being a triple double threat on a nightly basis. His biggest weaknesses are his 3-point shooting and defense, but he is at least league average at these skills and he has gotten better every year thus far. He will continue getting better in Chicago and they will be thankful to have him. Of course I anticipate Caruso's immediate impact to result in more glamorous results. The Thunder will be title threats next year. But in 3-5 years as Giddey keeps getting better Chicago fans will hopefully look back on the deal fondly.
This will be a much better deal for chicago than a lot of you guys are expecting. But feel free to keep being negative, god forbid bulls fans do anything else
I agree all the keep doing is crying some times it's better to just stfu and wait and see like they traded a guy who really does not fit our teams time line for a 21 year old PG who was forced to play SF last season smh
@anthonychristianson411 exactly and not to mention all the other guys that's stepped up or showed out like Giddy could literally be a solid piece for us depending what there doing with this team
He's a good piece regardless imo, he can score on the drive which most of the bulls are not really good at save for Ayo and coby sometimes, he's a godtier playmaker which this team has been sorely lacking. Sure his defense isn't good but he IS a good rebounder which we desperately need. And with all the defensive pieces we already have it doesn't matter that much. Idk I would've liked to see a draft pick as well just because OKC has so many but this trade was a win for both teams
@anthonychristianson411 I fully agree but it is what it is not to mention Lonzo Ball can help him with his game man like this trade to me is solid traded a roleplayer for a what top 5 top 10 pick in his class
Giddey and Coby white is a really nice backcourt to build around. They will tank and trade Lavine Derozan and sit lonzo or trade him. They are banking on Cooper Flagg or Ace Bailey for next years draft
If you're genuinely not in the window it's a good trade to make. Giddey is a team first guy who will be an asset in the locker room. His passing isn't just ok, it's elite. His rebounding for a guard is elite.. Can push the break, go to the rim. His J will never be spectacular but you know that he'll work his ass off to reach the kind of clip where defenses respect him. His I.Q. is seriously underrated too. He grew up around hoop royalty in Oz. Good coaches will find ways to enhance a player's existing skill set and ways to cover his flaws. I'd post Giddey a lot. He'll bully smaller guards and cause a bit of havoc with rotations. He has decent touch around the bucket so an effective post game is not beyond him.
Honestly, I feel like we should be talking about the bulls shooting coach a lot more. He’s literally done wonders for Ayo, Coby, and Caruso. I’m sure he’ll help Giddey improve his shooting. In fact, I’m counting on that. If that does happen, then I think it’s fair to say that he has legit all star potential
I’m so sick of hearing about draft picks. Were the picks being offered in the top 3? If not then what’s the problem? Do I need to remind people that this team had 4 top 10 picks including one in the top 5, and all they have to show for is Coby White who’s still a huge question mark? Bottom line is Giddey is more talented and has more upside than anybody else we could’ve gotten via trade or through the draft. Yeah, Giddey had a down year, but if he hadn’t he’d be more valuable than our entire roster PLUS our #11 pick!
Bulls had reached the 'we must do something to future-proof the team based on the uncertainty around Lonzo Ball' and Giddey was the 'something'. I'm sure they tried to push the OKC to add in a draft pick and OKC said 'nope, but we'll go straight up with a 21 year old #6 pick for a savvy veteran who plays hard and excellent defender, but went undrafted'.
as an OKC fan, I’m feeling great. Love Giddey and I’m always going to root for him but obviously Carushow is a significantly more impactful player. Future’s even more bright now.
For what the bulls have been I took this trade in a good light tbh. I know what trade could have happened but hey at least we traded. That’s my mindset right now
I have been saying that the Bulls have been taking a step backwards when they make moves that don’t make no sense but now with trade not only have they made a step back they really just jumped back, but hopefully this trade will lead to something once again great job Bulls 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Sounds as if he didn't know the girl was underage, as he met her in an 18 and over club. He then broke off the relationship when he learned of her age. Thankfully the girls parents didn't want to ruin his life. That matter's over now and it's not fair to still be so harsh on him.
JG didn't have a huge regression last season. He was thrown into a suboptimal and different role. The public attacks and slander certainly didn't help his confidence and game last season either. He will be more than fine and this trade will age wonderfully for the Bulls. Also his usage wasn't down because of the rise of SGA, it was more the ascension of JDUB. There should certainly be many more moves from the Bulls following this.
Yeah don't bother bro, bulls fans think with their hearts not their heads. Unless coby and Ayo have a massive regression from last year, this will definitely play out well for the bulls long term
On one hand: “How did they not get a pick?!” 😡 On the other hand: “AKME would have screwed up the pick anyway.” 😔 What an awful time to be a Bulls fan.
Giddey has 11 triple doubles in 3 years. It’s taken 7 bulls players 10 years to get the same number of triple doubles. He’s clearly an upgrade in terms of a floor general who can do many things to put pressure on defenses. Obviously no one is happy about losing Caruso, but getting a top 10 draft pick who’s 21 years old, has plenty of potential and who probably can’t wait to play for another team in a big market is a good first move for a bulls organization that should be looking to overhaul the roster. And who cares if we are worse? We are years away from competing for titles and this might end up with us getting the San Antonio pick and our own high draft pick in a stacked 2025 draft. It’s a decent move.
I don't know giddey outside of his highlight reel so enlighten me: what is it about his game that makes you feel that he doesn't have all star potential?
I'm okay with this trade I'll grade it a B- or C because we didn't get a pick included, furthermore I think there will be more moves to be made and Zach LaVine will determine where the Bulls go from there.
I rather josh giddy than anyone in this draft class he has potential also he young he already sold but I would love to keep Alex in trade the 11 overall pick for Josh or try to get rid of vuc and resign drumming
when i heard about the trade, i immidiately know this is not a good trade, i don't see much potential changes from this trade and ofc Giddy can't turn the Bulls into the contender or a play-off team. This trade is bad in so many level, 1st we didn't get any pick from it and 2nd, we lost 1 of the best defender in the league. Our front office just keep messing around and don't have a clear plan, i hope just like you said that they will have more moves in this off-season, the next trade i believe will include Lavine and maybe the Bulls will pull it on draft night, but let's see what they will do and hope that they don't disappoint all of us fan like they did 2 years prior. And i glad Caruso, he finally can play for play-off team and has a chance to get a ring, i felt sad that he's not a part of the Bulls anymore but wish he all best luck with OKC
This is 100% a tank season coming up, I can't see any other reason to do this. Caruso was the crown jewel of this front office, they wouldn't part with him if they thought they were going to try for a playoff run again. But then again, this front office has only shown they are truly idiotic at times. We'll see!
I was hating on lonzo until I realized how good he would be for the bulls (pre injury of course) NGL now I'm hating on Giddey but hoping to be proven wrong again
It’s kind of funny/dramatic that Billy Donavan who used to coach for the Thunder left the Thunder because after losing Westbrook, PG13, and Adams did NOT want to do a rebuild, but now here he is.
Probably your worst take my friend , I think you’ll be eating your words once giddy has his break out with chi , giddy was played out of position due to okc being so guard heavy , I think this is an upgrade and a step in the right decision of waking away from trying to compete instantly
Huge Thunder Fan here, Giddey has all star potential, unfortunately the team around him progressed generationally fast. Giddey was incredible during our rebuild, if you do blow it up hes perfect to start with. He played with heart even after everything he went through and was gracious when he got benched. Great pickup for yall. Wishing yall and him the best
Honestly man it's getting to the point where I don't wanna listen to bulls fans/analysts, they're so wrapped up in how awful they have it that they can't see the upsides when they finally arrive. This is a GREAT pickup, granted picks too would've been nice but giddey is literally the one thing our offense needs other than size: playmaking and passing. And HES 21: we have YEARS till he's even close to his prime and he's already capable
The Bulls got fleeced. Giving up Caruso without getting ANY draft compensation? Absolutely ridiculous. As for Giddey, he's still very young and still has room to grow. Hopefully, he can bounce back and start to grow with the Bulls if they put him in the right position. However, the off-court stuff is way more concerning than the on-court stuff. I can't believe that the Bulls front office did not take that into consideration.
I’m ok with this trade with OKC. I think most people forget that we still have Ayo who can play similarly to AC. Also, Josh Giddey could possibly a better player than any of these upcoming rookies.
Hearing this is just pissing me off lol. You talked about this, Josh Giddey has potential and I think like most people were not mad about that. We’re mad we didn’t get more. Before it was reported bulls have to be stunned to get Alex Caruso, everyone was begging for him and now we just gave him away for JUST giggity. We’re mad because it’s like we also get the short end of the stick, but other gms are pulling off heists like presti, ainge, Stevens. This is pissing me off talking about it, like not even 1 pick. Ik we’re not nba GMs but cmon wtf are ya getting paid to do
There is no making sense of this this was the worst trade on the planet did the team they traded with has a 100% And they didn't get one really they're a bunch of incompetent idiots that need to go 🤬
I do think OKC won the trade for now but i would not be surprised if Josh can develop a shot that he can be really good I hope he does well their he did everything mark and the team asked just didn’t fit Also something to note he is younger then a lot of the dudes in the draft so he is kinda like a draft pick in that sense
I like this trade. Sure losing Caruso is hard but he is 30 years old, often injured and was up for 4-year $80 mil extension. Giddey is 21 and has all-star potential. A 6'8" point gurad with great playmaking skills and a great rebounder. Remember Lonzo and Ayo weren't good shooters early on in their careers so Josh could definitely improve. Bulls should have gotten a 2nd rounder and they definitely need to go young now. Forget Zach, DeMar, Drummond. It's about Coby, Ayo, Josh, P Will. Bulls also have their own 11th pick this year.
I wouldn’t say this is front office malpractice until we see what else is done with this roster and how Josh Giddey performs. I’m still reserving my judgement. Either way, we have to stop thinking about what we could have gotten for AC last season as it had nothing to do with this front office and everything to do with the crappy owners of the Bulls. Someone made a good point on another of the UA-cam channels that ownership was probably trying to make sure the bulls stayed as competitive as possible for the new tv station that picked them up for this next year. They’re not going to trade AC for picks if they want to stay competitive. So if this thing fails, we need to start giving blame to the real culprits, the Reinsdorfs
I personally love the trade. The bulls traded an often injured role player for a starter. Wills story was hearsay and the picks were protected. Picks in this draft are worthless. Chet took giddeys role when he came back, giddey deserves to start and he became expendable, thinking you’re getting multiple unprotected 1st rd picks for a 31yo bench player with sus offense skills is a pipe dream. The bulls finally have a legit playmaker. Now trade Zach for BI
Polarizing trade. I don't like it but... I like it. I like it for Ayo. We are so guard heavy and if I want to move forward..... id love to keep his growth/production moving up. AK. No pics though sucks so bad!!
Bro yall are too stuck on AC yeah he was great but josh giddey is the equivalent of getting a first round draft pick this year he’s 6’8 which gives us versatility at the guard position and he moves really well off ball. The bulls have had issues with iso ball since we lost that floor general and coby is going to get to cook but we needed giddey
I'm upset that this is how much they thought Caruso was worth. He was more than just one 21 year old guard and that's the truth. Sad to see AC go but at least he'll be in a championship contending team next year.
A GM not making more out of the deal is the problem. It doesnt make sense (unless Caruso ask for it or has injury they didnt disclosed). Giddy value is low not getting playoff time because obvious flaws. Caruso is their glue guy and can get more assets for a rebuilding team in the future. Preti has some Jedi mind tricks or something.
I dont get why people acting mad for this trade. Its not like the Bulls were close to became a contender so might as well try get young assets and try again. Hopefully Vuc,Lonzo,Zach and Carter are next to go.
most these people are hilarious whining about this trade. Giddey is 21 & Caruso is 30, I get it a fan favorite type of player but hes gonna end up being a rental for okc his fa market is gonna be highly competitive making it hard for them to bring him back so to expect picks in return as well I just dont get it
Plain and simple I don’t like this trade. The fact that you had multiple first round picks for Caruso, rumors about kuminga or moody being on the table. Trading just for Giddey, someone who was scored on more than 60% against the mavs, and had to be benched. OKC didn’t even want Giddey and didn’t see him as a long term fit and the bulls couldn’t even get a single pick out of our all defensive guard wow and now you have lonzo coming back, Coby, (who had the best year) and Derozan (if he comes back) in their hands, what is Giddey going to do?!
This front office has a terrible record regarding trading value for value. That a second-round draft pick didn't accompany this trade is embarrassing. However, looking for the glass that's half full, I can see some benefits, although this assumes Lonzo returns and is even at 75% of what he was before he was injured. Lonzo starts, and when he needs a rest, Giddey replaces him and the Bulls don't lose a floor general. All we have to do is look at the last two and a half years to know how badly we need one. If we have two? That's a luxury most teams don't have. If Lonzo isn't up to starting, he could be spelling Giddey. Obviously, we'd need some other pieces, like a power forward with some size, and a slew of defenders to replace what we lost.
Yall got atleast one draft pick from the team that owns probably around 15% of all draft picks in the future.. right?? lol
LoL Ayo plays just as hard as AC! This was a trash move by trash management
You know how they acquired all those draft picks, at least in part? By being stingy with them.
Also, this is the kind of deal that's tough because it's not one that was talked about where we know what other offers were.
You think they weren't going to hold other teams to the fire in the same way?
LNo they got those picks by trading generational players...
I am upset about losing Caruso, and not getting a FRP.
You "get it." Exactly and well said. My thoughts as well.
💯 I feel the same way! Josh Giddey has a lot of upside and only 21yrs old..
We now have to get rid of the 30 something vets to make the trade make sense
The next Luka?? I think he has potential.....but that's a stretch
@@BullsCentral thats probably a stretch but I wouldnt be surprised if he became Luka lite if develops his shooting minus the ref complaining. I hope he balls out this upcoming season and be on a triple double tear in the East

@drryu67 we won't be bad enough if Lavine, Derozen and Vooch suit up for the Bulls
@@walker1984 I think LaVine is gone. Also all three of those guys were here last year and we didn’t make the playoffs with Caruso.
@drryu67 yes, but if we aren't lottery next year, we lose the pick to the Spurs because of AK dealing out picks like they're candy.
@@mijo5964I am very confused u think he’s innocent or guilty?
Kobe was also a creep by your definition @@mijo5964
Interesting, So you are saying Josh Diddy can't tell the difference between a grown woman and a child!
He’s younger than I thought, and he is wing sized and can pass and finish a little. That’s something I guess
Why would we tanking for 2024 draft? We already got 11th pick this year
@entongbrewok411 Sorry, I meant 2025 draft. It's protected 1-11 if not it goes to San Antonio.
So here’s my thought on day 2 - I’m ok with this IF getting younger is the goal. If we resign DeRozan on a long-term, expensive contract and/or don’t get draft assets or young talent for Lavine, then why are we doing it?
I didn’t want Alex to go
From what Joe Cowley shared on 670 The Score, the only chances for the Bulls to get a first-round draft pick were for the 2024 draft, not 2025.
Worthless words.. U dnt lose what caruso provides on the court for what ifs and sexual predation..
Giddy may still be young.. but he’s already in his last year of his rookie deal so enjoy paying up for his services next year or losing all value in this Caruso trade and let the pedo walk😂 yayy
@iremainunimpressed1589 My exact thoughts
It does. He is one of my favorite. Although AC's passion for playing hard gets him off the court more often. Curious to see what the GM IS cooking.
Bro, I love the trade. I love Josh Giddey people say we didn't get any draft compensation but don't care we have our point guard of the future.
Point guard of the future that can’t do anything well besides pass and rebound in a league that needs shooting and defense lmao

AK wanted picks and Jerry wants to squeeze into the playoffs
So you’d rather have multiple 1sts outside of top 10 than Giddey? All of OKC’s 1sts are outside of top 10 for the foreseeable future, and they’re not giving up a 21-year old with upside AND another 1st for a 30-year old defensive specialist on an expiring contract. Knowing the draft and especially Bulls’ draft record, I’d take Giddey who’s more talented than anybody they could’ve drafted this year.

@@elementkxAyo too, but yeah great point. Maybe Pat can step up
@@elementkx problem solved!!!

I’m more upset at not getting any picks!!
I like the trade but knowing ak they feel like they have the Lonzo replacement and they gonna run it back smh.
@dopeboytrll5664 I love the direction AK took. Zo need to be on a championship team asap. I'm glad Caruso get to play on a contender.
Giddey and Coby white is a really nice backcourt to build around. They will tank and trade Lavine Derozan and sit lonzo or trade him. They are banking on Cooper Flagg or Ace Bailey for next years draft
As a thunder fan, Giddey gets a bad wrap. Let him run an offense and u all r gonna be so happy with him
You nailed it on the head Jamaal. The first thing in my head was malpractice on behalf of the bulls front office
Giddey is a legend - give him some love
Straight up front office malpractice , too funny 😂😂😂
Straight up front office abuse
For this move to make sense we have to trade Lavine, Derozan, Vooch too.
I think Bulls got the best player, they will be highly pleased.
For what the bulls have been I took this trade in a good light tbh. I know what trade could have happened but hey at least we traded. That’s my mindset right now

Sounds as if he didn't know the girl was underage, as he met her in an 18 and over club. He then broke off the relationship when he learned of her age. Thankfully the girls parents didn't want to ruin his life. That matter's over now and it's not fair to still be so harsh on him.
Is it still possible that the deal hasn't been finalised and picks may still come?
nah
I was thinking that as well because it hasn't been announced by the league office yet....so, maybe?
JG didn't have a huge regression last season. He was thrown into a suboptimal and different role. The public attacks and slander certainly didn't help his confidence and game last season either. He will be more than fine and this trade will age wonderfully for the Bulls. Also his usage wasn't down because of the rise of SGA, it was more the ascension of JDUB. There should certainly be many more moves from the Bulls following this.
I would have rather traded Zach for Josh but maybe we can build Zach back since Josh remind or prime lozo
I am unsure how to feel about Giddey
Yall mad cuz we traded a injury prone guard for a young asset
Yeah don't bother bro, bulls fans think with their hearts not their heads. Unless coby and Ayo have a massive regression from last year, this will definitely play out well for the bulls long term
coby and ayo did not show the potential giddey has at 21 years old. thats what has kept me positive through this trade
Caruso is very solid piece when he's on the court. Problem is his strength. His body is always taking a toll with his hustle.
On one hand: “How did they not get a pick?!” 😡
On the other hand: “AKME would have screwed up the pick anyway.” 😔
What an awful time to be a Bulls fan.
Caruso has more trade value so I wouldn’t get your hopes up.. your front office is a national joke at this point too
Had to come over from the main channel to see this
I rather josh giddy than anyone in this draft class he has potential also he young he already sold but I would love to keep Alex in trade the 11 overall pick for Josh or try to get rid of vuc and resign drumming
We’ll be looking back on this trade like the Vuc trade in a couple years…lol
when i heard about the trade, i immidiately know this is not a good trade, i don't see much potential changes from this trade and ofc Giddy can't turn the Bulls into the contender or a play-off team.
You said it right - front office malpractice. You never trade an established contributor for "potential". That burns GM's every year.
A+ trade for the Thunder tho
This is 100% a tank season coming up, I can't see any other reason to do this. Caruso was the crown jewel of this front office, they wouldn't part with him if they thought they were going to try for a playoff run again. But then again, this front office has only shown they are truly idiotic at times. We'll see!
The only way i like this trade if we sign and trade demar for a young big and picks as well as trade Vuc for role players and start a rebuild.
Actually they were offered picks in this year’s draft, they couldn’t get any picks in next year’s draft: which is what they wanted.
Ik we’re not nba GMs but cmon wtf are ya getting paid to do
Wow even in the morning I’m still upset
There is no making sense of this this was the worst trade on the planet did the team they traded with has a 100% And they didn't get one really they're a bunch of incompetent idiots that need to go 🤬
Can someone please help me understand what exactly the Bulls plan is?
You said in your video buying low Alex Caruso for him is not buying low
This means bull are rebuilding and tanking for loaded 2025 draft class. This is what yall we calling for. 🎉
Rebuilding but didnt get a draft pick lol that's fucking stupid brother.
What would a second round pick do???

Exactly yall ppl say bulls can’t develop talent and they don’t draft well but yall so desperate for late first and second round picks gtfoh
We don't know what those picks were. I'd take Giddey over two top 15 protected picks.
My hope is that Ayo can be the be Caruso and that Peter Patton can turn Giddey into a shooter. He’ll be a good facilitator for Coby and PWill.
Giddey could be that point guard we've been always needing
trade to TANK and keep 2025pick
At least they did something. Yes if this is it that is really bad. Yes the opportunity cost of not trading for AC before is great and bad.
If Josh giddey improves from his second season this was a steal by the bulls
CHICAGO YOU SAW HOW BAD THE LAKERS MISSED ALEX,
NOW YOU WILL FEEL THAT SAME PAIN,
NAD TRADE
Very good trade and upgrade for OKC.
19 teams were ahead of the Bulls in 2023-2024 NBA Season without Alex in their team. So theirs nothing to cry about losing him.
I don’t think they lost. Had we gotten a draft pick w def one. Giddey could be 20 & 10 & 5. Coby could work with him.
Polarizing trade.
I don't like it but... I like it. I like it for Ayo. We are so guard heavy and if I want to move forward..... id love to keep his growth/production moving up.
AK. No pics though sucks so bad!!
Free throw % might be misleading, his attempts per game is historically low
Bro yall are too stuck on AC yeah he was great but josh giddey is the equivalent of getting a first round draft pick this year he’s 6’8 which gives us versatility at the guard position and he moves really well off ball. The bulls have had issues with iso ball since we lost that floor general and coby is going to get to cook but we needed giddey
I'm upset that this is how much they thought Caruso was worth. He was more than just one 21 year old guard and that's the truth. Sad to see AC go but at least he'll be in a championship contending team next year.
Ahh yes I love trading for a player that was borderline unplayable in the play offs. Giddy also fits the need with shooting!
Honestly, I'm kind of furious of this trade. Unless they make some significant additional changes, I don't think I'll be watching next year.
Here’s your starting 5 if derozan, vuch and lavine are gone too:
Dosunmu
White
Giddey
Williams
Smith
Not a bad building block
most these people are hilarious whining about this trade.
OKC didn’t even want Giddey and didn’t see him as a long term fit and the bulls couldn’t even get a single pick out of our all defensive guard wow and now you have lonzo coming back, Coby, (who had the best year) and Derozan (if he comes back) in their hands, what is Giddey going to do?!
you should do a hot take video before the draft
