    As a Marine I really appreciate your attention to detail. Excellent video and great tips on how to get the critical parts cleaned and lubed properly. Take care of you gear and it will take care of you. I just picked up an SC (first dive into 9mm) so it was nice to see someone who has taken this specific weapon apart. Well done and thank you for taking the time to do this video. Semper Fidelis

    This is the most helpful tutorial I've watched for cleaning this Canik. It's clear and concise. Though many times overlooked, your lighting is especially helpful with showing the specific parts of which you speak. Thank you for putting this together!

    This was so helpful. I never opened up my Canik before. I have shot probably 200-300 rounds through it. Such a great video to help me and walk me through everything. Thank you!

    Good informative video and it shows that you are a veteran at this. cleaning after 500 rounds, I never thought, I have cleaned a gun in years I hadn't thought that you could go that long without a cleaning. I use to clean them after each use at the range. Thanks for the video. Keep up the good work!

    Thanks! After this video I bought a full gun pick kits in a hard case. I used the typical Hoppe’s stuff for many years but just got into using Clenzoil products. My gun is so new I only ran 20 rounds through it as ammo is crazy expensive anymore. I enjoyed your video.

      You simply push the bottom pin in the base in with a pointed object and then slide the base off. The spring and follower will come out so you can clean everything.

  • @thefogisgone3662
    @thefogisgone3662 3 роки тому +1

    You don't have to pull the trigger to get the slide off. If its cocked you do.. it won't come off if its cocked.. but not simultaneously.

    Hello, my Canik is slightly rusty.. Mostly just the pins , and a LITTLE internal rust. Is it worth taking it to a gunsmith or should I just buy a new gun?

    • @GearKnowHow
      @GearKnowHow  6 місяців тому

      Scrub those rusty parts and oil them. You should be fine unless you start seeing problems with function.

      Yes. I believe a lot of people use 0W-20 or 0W-30. Might want to do some research though. I know it’s a really thin oil

      For an Armourer, yes mobil oil is Economical. But mobil oil is Not Rust/Corrosion resistant. To increase the Properties, Mix Mobil Oil (5w20) 40%, ATF 40%, Grease No.2 (Abro Rust/Oxidation Preventive) 20%.

    • @Tactical-Practical-SajidShah
      @Tactical-Practical-SajidShah 3 роки тому +3

      Automatic Transmission Fluid is Rust/Corrosion Resistant, Anti Chipping properties, Carbon Remover and won't gum. You can have Excellent mixture by mixing; ATF (80%) and Grease (No.2, Rust & Corrosion Preventive, 20%). For Barrel cleaning, use only ATF, which have very good Carbon Removing properties.
