Just added the Elite SC to my pistols. I let my wife shoot the first rounds through it. Three rounds in one hole at 7 yards. Sure put pressure on me to shoot it well. She found it equally as accurate as my PC Shield. I found it lots of fun but did spend some time adjusting my grip to the thicker gun. Very pleased with it.

@@rosemarsili9159 I love the feel. It’s not to bulky for me but I stand 5’7 at 195lbs. There are a lot of questions posted about things I see in the owners manual so I’m pretty sure these facts about the Elite SC are probably not known to many so I’ll share them. The Canik TP9 Elite SC has several designs implemented into it specifically for a carry pistol. These things are not found on other models except the Elite SC (the Elite series is the carry series so a couple things cross over. I’ll state when it is SC specific). Some things like the lightening cuts are found on the SFx, but even then they are not nearly as aggressive. -The Elite SC is the only Canik to come with a dual captured recoil spring. One spring handles the initial mitigation of the slide going backwards, the other is a different rate and handles the forward motion of the slide as it returns. Canik expects you to rapid fire this gun and it’s return to target rate while firing is very impressive. - It also has a serrated angled rear sight for kicking the slide with one hand on your belt or pocket, specific to the Elite SC concealed carry...... So you can rack the slide one handed coming from a holster. - It also has a loaded chamber indicator in addition to the striker indicator. This is an Elite feature. Canik is now carrying it over to other models. - The mag release on the Elite SC is the smallest one offered, nearly level with the grip to eliminate hitting it while carrying it in the holster. This is an Elite feature. - The pinkie grip plate on the 12 round mag allows the Elite SC to have a flat baseplate that does not print, but gives the extension for the pinkie finger giving it a full grip with a flat base. Designed exclusively for the Elite SC to be carried without printing. - The Elite SC is the only Model to come with a glow in the dark phosphorus front sight. It’s also the first to come with blacked out rear sights as studies show when in a defensive situation the quickest focus on a sight picture is looking past the rear sights and focusing on the front sight only. The rear sight is blacked out on all Elite models, but only the SC is serrated. It’s different from other models. - Ever wonder why the Elite SC only fits micro red dots when the Elite fits mini red dots? Well, for one it’s so you can co-witness. Canik knows it matters and red dots don’t always work (not on, dead battery). For two, slide of the Elite SC is heavily milled with lightening cuts inside the rear to make the gun nose stay down when firing by putting the weight in the front half of the gun (stock form). (See footnote 1). Because of this the shortest gun they sell has some of the best recoil management of the TP9 series. In modified form when using a red dot, the lightening cuts allow the gun to have a micro dot mounted while still being balanced forward. By removing the weight from the rear when the slide moves backwards it doesn’t sling the rear downward and create more recoil. ((((*Footnote 1 - Weight is a force acting on that matter . Mass resists any change in the motion of objects. In physics, the term weight has a specific meaning - which is the force that acts on a mass due to gravity. Weight is measured in newtons.)))) -All these things and more show how far Canik went to create a successful and exceptional gun that looks like their other TP9 offerings, but is designed specifically as a carry gun.

I love these handguns and have been a proponent of them for a while. My Canik Elite Combat by Salient is my favorite but they are all really great guns at the price point!
I have had this for a couple years now, have a few thousand rounds through it, the only malfunction I've come across is the same thing that you experienced. It tends to happen after a couple hundred rounds without cleaning. It chambers the round and the slide doesn't fully return to battery. And really only happens if you give it any limp wrist at all while it's dirty. But other than a few times over the thousands of rounds (And to be honest, I don't remember the last time it has done it so possibly it just needs broken in), it's been a champ. Would recommend.
I purchased the older tp9 v2 earlier this year and put way over 500 rounds through it with no issues at all!!! I love these guns. Really wanna get my hands on the tp9 elite executive.
Picked up a Canik month ago for $280. Came with one 18 round mag. Just wanted a budget truck gun that I wouldn’t Freak out if it was stolen etc... Damn, the trigger is on point, and it shoots soooo smooth. On par with my HK VP9... ya I said it! Picked up another 20rd mag and a holster which made it even better. I will by another one for sure.
Agree. Didn't expect much from a sub $300 gun. My TP9SF has been my go to plinking pistol. I carry mine when I walk the dog in the woods for coyote threats. Really like the Canik and thinking about picking up a tactical model with threaded barrel.
I have a coyote tp9 I picked up 4 or 5 years ago, carried it for a year in Minnesota, slipped on the ice a few times and fell on it on the winter banged it around in the truck for 10 hrs a day 5-6 days a week apart from a couple spots Cerakote is perfect and it runs flawlessly. Have a Sig 220 and id trust my life with either of them. Going to order one of these for less printing carry
I have one of the early TP9SA they first brought into the country. I've had 5-6k rounds through mine with only two malfunctions, and both were caused by the ammo. Definitely enjoying mine.
I bought mine after confirmation watchin Tim at MAC. Kept searching every video I could after, along with blogs etc., and not a single person had a bad review. Its my first ever pistol and I'm extremely happy with my purchase, the gun fires like a charm
John Ganshow do it! I am a huge smith 2.0 fan. Have several. These caniks are great guns. Never had any issues with mine. They are better in a lot of ways than my smiths or glocks 🤯
I have been searching for the Elite Canik... settled on the SC to update my off duty carry. I appreciate you running it thru it’s paces. I’ll be taking mine out to the range soon to get familiar with it. Keep the great content coming.
I have the Canik TP9 SF and DA. No complains. Nothing but praises. Canik pistol models are reliable, accurate, with amazing trigger pulls and ergonomics.
I have the previous gen prior to the SC, I want an SC now to carry - the mags are interchangeable and I know how smooth mine shoots. It is the best shooter I have ever fired.
Have been using Canik's for a few years and can't say enough good things about them. You won't find a better trigger on a striker fired gun, especially for something sub $400. Have TP9 SF, which is my main range choice, with close to 10K rounds through it and never a malfunction. Overall favorite is the TP9 SF Elite, which about Glock 19 size. They are an unbelievable value for their cost.
I definitely agree on your input of the Canik..I run mine against my glock 26 and 48 and the trigger these caniks come with out the box,I have to say I like it more than my glocks and im a Glock fan boy..Great vid 👍✌💯🇺🇸
Tp9da might be my first. You think this xompact version is better. I'd like to concealed, but full size is cheaper right now and I heard it's easier to learn
So I discovered yesterday that the Canik mags are interchangeable. If you’ve got one of those TP9SFX 20 round mags, you can carry it as your second mag
I'm glad you reviewed this. I'm a canik lover. Compete with them. My only critique is when you say rmr, I know what you meant, optic ready, but it'll only take rmsc or sig zero optic
Hopefully do to the growing popularity of micro carry pistols manufacturers will start producing more variations of micro red dots with adapter plates and screws for this gun 🤞
I love my canik sc, my wife is a big H&K fan and she even said this guns is accurate and surprisingly has a smooth trigger. To me it’s better then my G19
Would you recommend this over the g19 for a first handgun? Been shooting my whole life but never owned a handgun and g19 and this are what I’m really looking at. Seems like this is your best bang for your buck.
Just picked up one of those over the weekend. Good trigger, great price. I like it better than my Glock. Note that the RDR is a micro-rdr. Only a couple of optics will work: Shield, Romeo Zero and I think JP has one. Holosuns, Vipers, Trijicons don't fit.
On eBay if you put in Canik red dot one pops up with bad reviews saying the red dot won’t fit in the cut out but when mine came in it fit fine. For $45 you can’t go wrong even if I had to shave it. I also have a Romeo 1 for my ar pistol that I swap out once and a while.
I bought the tp9sf 2-3 years ago and it’s been flawless.... I avoided the elite because of trigger issues but if they have fixed it. I just may buy one .... merry Christmas everyone
pcpolice from what I was seeing the tigger bar to the firing pin block they were having an issue.... now I haven’t had any trouble with mine tp9sf. Like anything else it’s a tool with moving pieces that could end for me tomorrow on the range.
I had the same happen on mine, had a couple of failures to battery/feed on the fist couple of mags I think its just the springs are super tight. Mine came with 20 rounders and they would only take 18 the first few times
Mine has this same problem. FMJ seems to work fine, but Federal Hydra Shock will do this with every round. I saw that frank the tank had similar issues with the SFX after putting in a new recoil spring. I'm wondering if the striker spring is too stiff and causing this same problem.
ive had all the canik models at some point. the tp9sa and the sf elite r my favs. i do like the the sc, but it really isnt that much smaller than the elite, at least w the 15 rd mag.
You could see the slide was slightly out of battery on that FTF, in the replay. I am surprised the striker fell? Was it the slide RTB that you heard/felt? I own a SF Elite, and SFX, both have been absolutely amazing. Honestly the Elite I shoot better. Great triggers. I nearly picked up this SC version when it was first released but hesitated. Glad to see it is another great Canik. My Walther PPQ SC already fills that market of firearm.
I bought a TP9 SFX and it is doing this also. I think the springs are strong and need a little use to function better. I read you can lock the slide open for a few days and that will help spring to be more worked in.
Thanks for the video 🤘 I picked up one of these about a month ago, the trigger is the bees knees man, I shoot a mag, then switch to a mag in my 19x and the glock trigger really feels like dogshit. The trigger is sweet
Check the headspace on that round that misfired, I havent ever had a misfire in any of my Canik pistols, and i started buying from them at Mod2. No issues with cycling, nothing at all. They just shoot and theyre amazingly accurate, especially if you factor in the price, but even if not, they compete with more expensive guns easily, and are likely more reliable.
Photoluminescent front sight Charge it up with a flashlight and watch how bright she shines Eric! Gunna share this is canik Nation group we love some canik and I'm a big fan of the channel!
I picked up one of these around christmas, already had the sf, and fell in love. Was so glad they had made the SC. I didnt know about the photoluminescent sight until I read your comment, thank you for that!
I just bought the Damascus OD Green/FDE camo version last night on sale. I've been wanting to try a Canik and the $399.99 - $13.00 Mil/LE discount making it $386.99 made my decision up for me. I have yet to shoot it but it seems like a very nice pistol for $400 or less.
Its a ppq clone. In fact a ppq slide will function on a tp9sf full size frame. Trigger is awesome, the red dot on the striker indicator always falls off. I would trust my life with this. I own 6 glocks, 3 HK's, sigs, etc. This rolls with em all.
I loved the gun, but I am changing out the front site for a Warren fiber optic front sight. You either need to stay out in the sun or hold a light on the front sight for it glow. Kind of a stupid idea for a CCW.
Eric you guys are awesome, have enjoyed your stuff for years, don’t know why you always worry about groups, just shoot and enjoy, every handgun you shoot is more accurate than you and me and 99.9% of everyone that shoots handguns, since you brought Hickok up, you ever hear him worried about groups?
The nice thing is that the Walther PPQ and the Canik use the same mags. And as long as the mag is long enough, it will work, In other words you can't use the little short mags in full size grips. But you can certainly use 20 round mags in the compact and subcompacts:) (Never mind that if you have the subcompact ppq because the mags for it require stiffer/faster springs)
Eric, awesome review. Thanks for growing a set and bringing it to us buddy and don’t register all of your many pistol braces so that the ATF don’t try and throw your ass in prison so you can keep on bringing us these great reviews buddy!👍
@ 6:43, when talking about that 15 round mag and the fact that it's base plate is missing the backstrap portion, I kept wondering why they did this, but then it dawned on me...the last time I was running my Grand Power P11, I was doing a quick mag change and ended up pinching the fat of my palm between the gun frame and mag as I was inserting the mag. It left a HUGE blood blister that eventually popped...I was bleeding all over the place at the range (didn't feel good at ALL, either). I firmly believe that's why they designed it that way. Also, @ 17:48 - failure to return to battery (wasn't a primer or striker issue).
Man I can’t get over how awesome my Canik is! I own much pricey guns and my 1 Canik is equal to or better than my more expensive guns. I will be buying many more Caniks! Not only because I can afford them but because they are just better guns. They aren’t just good for their price, they are just awesome guns at any price!
TP9 Elite SC: its easy to shoot fast TP9SFx: yeah, but im even faster because that is what i was made for.... either way, i think Canik pistols are pretty good value. of course, i dont like what the turkish gov is all about and doing, but i gotta give credit where its due. they make decent guns. that being said, you cannot find a pistol the same price that is a better shooter.....the only complaint.. well, i guess a complaint, is that the slide release cant be switched over for a lefty like the mag release can be. not really that big a deal though because i dont really use the slide release anyway because i just rack the slide. either way, like i said, its near impossible to find a pistol in the same price point that is as good as Canik seems to be... absolutely worth the buy.
"This gun is produced according to the request of Turkish special forces. Front sight is small so you can see the target becides that and also you can handle the gun from the ground or table easyly because the grip is always stays upper a little bit. Tthis function helps to pick the gun quicker from surfaces. Finally you can disarm and arm this gun by one hand in four move in the case of one of owners hand is injured." (N. Yaman)

You just convinced me. I’m getting this gun. Damn fine shooting too. Excellent skill set
I purchased the older tp9 v2 earlier this year and put way over 500 rounds through it with no issues at all!!! I love these guns. Really wanna get my hands on the tp9 elite executive.
Better sights than a Glock. Better trigger than a Glock... Cheaper than a Glock.... Glock perfection? I think not.
It does everything I need it to and never runs into any issues.
Sounds pretty perfect to me.
I have a Glock and one of these chill
They don't fit a glock holster. But they come with thier own in the box. I like mine, alot
Just picked up my new canik yesterday. Chose it over the 19 bc of the price and shot both in succession.
Where did you purchase it for that price?
We're the mags hard to find? Also how interchangable are the Canik mags?
All the youtubers that test them seem to love them, and at the price point, I'm going to have to take a closer look at them...
Do it.
As soon as my licence arrive, I'm getting this exact gun
Cant wait to get one.
This is the perfect carry to my SFx. Together I’ve got all bases covered.
I have been searching for the Elite Canik... settled on the SC to update my off duty carry. I appreciate you running it thru it’s paces. I’ll be taking mine out to the range soon to get familiar with it. Keep the great content coming.
I just got one without my wife's permission and she's pissed, no sexytime for a while...worth it👍
LOL It's been 9 months. Hope you're out of the dog house by now!
Got the full size TP9SF for my first gun a couple years ago. I love it!
I have the Canik TP9 SF and DA. No complains. Nothing but praises. Canik pistol models are reliable, accurate, with amazing trigger pulls and ergonomics.
I have the Elite Combat Executive with a Trijicon RMR, gun is amazing.
Just picked this gun up 2 weeks ago and ran a few hundred rounds thru it and when I say the trigger is butter, Its definitely just that !!
I have the previous gen prior to the SC, I want an SC now to carry - the mags are interchangeable and I know how smooth mine shoots. It is the best shooter I have ever fired.
I have the original Elite and love it, Its the easiest handgun to shoot in my safe! This one is looking just as good of a shooter! Great vid, Thanks!
Why would you shoot a gun inside your safe?
@@thomasjohnson6808 Lol, Because its "SAFE"!?
First time gun owner , was searching online took a chance and what an excellent decision..nice ..he did a wonderful job on this video describing
Just ordered a blackout version of this pistol cant wait!!!
You know this is an older video when 50 rounds of Federal HST is only $22.99. Boy, how times have changed !
What about that price now another year later
@@fallofthezombies1379hahahha how about these prices now 😂
I definitely agree on your input of the Canik..I run mine against my glock 26 and 48 and the trigger these caniks come with out the box,I have to say I like it more than my glocks and im a Glock fan boy..Great vid 👍✌💯🇺🇸
Love my Canik.... Going for the Elite combat next
Hell yea, I want to get the elite combat executive. Thing is so damn nice.
Tp9da might be my first. You think this xompact version is better. I'd like to concealed, but full size is cheaper right now and I heard it's easier to learn
Go for elite combat-s
I bought an SF years ago. Best shooting, most accurate handgun I’ve shot.
I'm picking my SC up today and cant WAIT for range day! Good review! BTW...this will be my 3rd Canik...there's a reason why!
Caniks are great guns period. I would recommend a Canik over alot of other pistols
looks like the slide wasn't fully seated for that malfunction, you can see at 17:48 the slide goes into battery as Eric pulls the trigger.
Nick Boisclair yes , for the price and quality and it comes with a 15 round mag and 12. The only set back is find a holster for IWB
Q Taylor I don’t have my concealed carry permit just yet anyway. I’m gonna try and find one now! Thanks!
I have a TP 9 SF Elite that i use as my CC and i love it, nothing bad to say about it
Canik is a great gun and the company is always improving their models.
You are one of the best in reviewing firearms. Love that Canik.
My brother has a 9 by them. Smooth shooting gun. Accurate too. I may spring for one in the future myself
I bought this beauty tomorrow... And 100000000% satisfied...
The shield rmsc and the Romeo zero are the only ones that fit...
Holosun 407k and 507k fit.
@@thamesford1433 New to market.
AngryGlock my friend has a 507k on his P365XL, very nice.
I bought the tp9sf 2-3 years ago and it’s been flawless.... I avoided the elite because of trigger issues but if they have fixed it. I just may buy one .... merry Christmas everyone
Levi Miller what trigger issues have you heard of?
pcpolice from what I was seeing the tigger bar to the firing pin block they were having an issue.... now I haven’t had any trouble with mine tp9sf. Like anything else it’s a tool with moving pieces that could end for me tomorrow on the range.
The elites are good to go
I own this pistol. My first edc. I love it very reliable eats anything I feed it.
On the replay looks like the slide was slightly out of battery on the miss fire
Yes, it definitely was out of battery.
I had the same happen on mine, had a couple of failures to battery/feed on the fist couple of mags I think its just the springs are super tight. Mine came with 20 rounders and they would only take 18 the first few times
Yep
Mine has this same problem. FMJ seems to work fine, but Federal Hydra Shock will do this with every round.
I saw that frank the tank had similar issues with the SFX after putting in a new recoil spring. I'm wondering if the striker spring is too stiff and causing this same problem.
Hand on the slide release.
Great review and great video presence. Like your sense of humor and pulling Mr. Hickok's leg. You and 45 are my two favorite YT'ers.
Buying this tomorrow ! Thanks for the review
I want this Pistol so bad!!! Looks like an Amazing Deal with getting all the extras with your purchase!!!
glad I watched this just to confirm that I want this pistol. Love my TP9 sf elite. Thanks
ive had all the canik models at some point. the tp9sa and the sf elite r my favs. i do like the the sc, but it really isnt that much smaller than the elite, at least w the 15 rd mag.
just bought one today and i wasnt sure if it was the right choice and you made me feel awsome about it
How much$?
I’ve had mine for less than month and I’m in love!
It's nice seeing you enjoying yourself and having fun!
They just had the mid-size version of this with fiber optic front sights at my local gun show for $309. Couldn't resist.
Thanks for the video 🤘 I picked up one of these about a month ago, the trigger is the bees knees man, I shoot a mag, then switch to a mag in my 19x and the glock trigger really feels like dogshit. The trigger is sweet
Great review of well made gun!i love all the guns made in Turkey as i own many of them.....great value and very affordable...long live Turkey
Turkey makes me sleepy
They're really good at genocide, too. Even better at denying it.
I’ve always wanted a canik. Maybe this will be the one
something fun you might do.. compare the old ruger sr9c vs the canik elite sc, they are practically the same size.
Photoluminescent front sight
Charge it up with a flashlight and watch how bright she shines Eric!
Gunna share this is canik Nation group we love some canik and I'm a big fan of the channel!
I picked up one of these around christmas, already had the sf, and fell in love. Was so glad they had made the SC. I didnt know about the photoluminescent sight until I read your comment, thank you for that!
@@adamlawson1986 no problem bro. Alot of people don't know it
Real cool feature though glad it helped lol
Great info cool vid, I got Canik tp9 elite sc and I love it, thanks
I wish they'd make a 10mm!!! A 10mm canik would be the shiz!!!
Best idea ever.
I have multiple Caniks, my favorite is the Tp9sfx!
What's the diff?
@@DS..69 optics and the sfx is larger not sub compact
ill have a SC but shot them both SC and sfx. Sfx is the greatest for shooting and holding, but not for carrying.
@@pessimistil35 I would figure not, especially since the sfx has a 5.2 inch barrel
Its a ppq clone. In fact a ppq slide will function on a tp9sf full size frame. Trigger is awesome, the red dot on the striker indicator always falls off. I would trust my life with this. I own 6 glocks, 3 HK's, sigs, etc. This rolls with em all.
No it won't .
@@justinpennington7682 it fits the tp9sf. And works.
It's a walther P99 clone.
@@fiveseven76 maybe the elite sc. Tp9sf is ppq clone. Google it if you dont believe me. I literally did it.geesh
@@fiveseven76 The Walther P99 has a decocker and the AS model has an "anti-stress" trigger. This Elite SC does not
Just bought the mete mc9 and love it!!! Go Canik!!! Elite SC is my next!!
But you can certainly use 20 round mags in the compact and subcompacts:)
(Never mind that if you have the subcompact ppq because the mags for it require stiffer/faster springs)
Eric, awesome review. Thanks for growing a set and bringing it to us buddy and don’t register all of your many pistol braces so that the ATF don’t try and throw your ass in prison so you can keep on bringing us these great reviews buddy!👍
I own a Canik TP9 SFx. It's a phenomenal pistol. I like it much better than my buddies Block 34 MOS.
Shut up
@ 6:43, when talking about that 15 round mag and the fact that it's base plate is missing the backstrap portion, I kept wondering why they did this, but then it dawned on me...the last time I was running my Grand Power P11, I was doing a quick mag change and ended up pinching the fat of my palm between the gun frame and mag as I was inserting the mag. It left a HUGE blood blister that eventually popped...I was bleeding all over the place at the range (didn't feel good at ALL, either). I firmly believe that's why they designed it that way.
Also, @ 17:48 - failure to return to battery (wasn't a primer or striker issue).
This is a great gun. I finally got to shoot mine today and the trigger is so nice and the take down is so easy. I really am happy with it.
Thanks for all the great videos this year, wishing you and Chad and your family's a Merry Christmas
TP9 Elite SC: its easy to shoot fast
TP9SFx: yeah, but im even faster because that is what i was made for....
either way, i think Canik pistols are pretty good value. of course, i dont like what the turkish gov is all about and doing, but i gotta give credit where its due. they make decent guns. that being said, you cannot find a pistol the same price that is a better shooter.....the only complaint.. well, i guess a complaint, is that the slide release cant be switched over for a lefty like the mag release can be. not really that big a deal though because i dont really use the slide release anyway because i just rack the slide. either way, like i said, its near impossible to find a pistol in the same price point that is as good as Canik seems to be... absolutely worth the buy.
Slide release is ambi on the sc
Nicely done. Enjoy your vids. Looked like you were having a blast...
Merry Christmas

@TheGhost Hare Krishna
You deserve more views.
An additional bonus is that if you have a TP9 SF, then the subcompact will accept it's mags.
Have a SFX elite and DA…. The SC is next! Love them!
Yaman)
