    Bought my Canik as my first gun from academy and wanted to be 100% confident in myself and the gun before having to be put in the position to use it. i’ve gone through about 400 rounds flawlessly but was unsure of the cleaning. This was an excellent tutorial and I can definitely say i was able to clean mine with ease after watching!

    Finally went and shot my TP9 SF Elite for the first time a couple days ago. I've had the gun almost a year and it was the first time I could finally shoot it. And it shot very well. I'm confident I will hit what I'm aiming at. I bought a "nice" little cleaning kit, when I first purchased the gun. And I sat down for my first cleaning. Found this video here....and got started. Unfortunately it didn't take me long to realize my so called cleaning kit was missing vital parts. Such as cleaner or oil! 😖 So I will be returning to this video tomorrow hopefully. Looks like a good easy to follow video. I do have a question if someone can answer. I shot about 120 rounds at the range. Do I NEED to clean it? I just figured I would clean it after every use at the range. Is that necessary, or not?

    • @reverendguns
      @reverendguns Рік тому

      Ideally, you want to clean it after every day of shooting. You're trying to prevent carbon build-up. 120 rounds isn't much to cause enough carbon to be a problem. You could just run a bore snake through the barrel and add some oil. I'd say after 400+ rounds, it definitely needs cleaning.

    • @reverendguns

    • @reverendguns

      Any gun cleaning kit will work. Just make sure it has the barrel brush and jag in your caliber. Get patches labeled with your caliber .I personally use Shooter Lube as the cleaner and M-Pro 7 for the lubricant. I can't post links or I'll get a strike from UA-cam.

    You don’t gotta slide the the slide back to take it apart like a glock. Just pull the tabs down the slide will go forward a ever so slightly than pull the trigger than lift the slide off.

    • @reverendguns
      @reverendguns 9 місяців тому +1

      I don't like it when the trigger is pulled to take it apart. I see lots of people trying to be slick and didn't bother to unload and check if the firearm was clear, then accidentally discharge and either shoot themselves or someone else. I don't recommend doing it that way.
