So peaceful! And again such an exquisite production. The music stays in the background, is never irritating, but helps to set the mood. The sewing advice impeccable. Thanks.
I have seen one of your videos about when you started this project and something about it has stuck with me. I have since re-evaluated how do I see my clothes and what I want from them. Slowly I am tailoring the items I own, sewing cocktail dresses and gowns to attend events, but something kept me from looking back towards the mundane, toward the items i have on me nearly 24 hours a day. I have revisited your videos a couple days ago, bought some fabric and started sewing my own underwear. I followed this pattern for briefs, they turned out perfectly, every curve in it's place, exactly how I want it. This patters was easy to follow, even though I am a sewing novice. Thank you very much for putting such invaluable and inspirational material out there, your research and depth of thinking is truly beautiful
I enjoy your videos so much! The aesthetic, the knowledge, just your general energy is so calming and interesting. You‘re like my new favourite channel
The fact that this video is laced with historical facts as well as overall lovely editing and content has sent me over the moon! So grateful to have stumbled upon the tiktok video 🖤
dying to take a look at all those books you have. please let me know some of the books you used in this videos and more books you'd recommend. this is an amazing video and im looking forward to see more of you!
I love your voice and your videos!!! So interesting to get to know all aboutthe story behind something we use daily + you make everything look so easy!
katerina, you are state of the art, your pedagogy is so captivating , i love the touch of rafinement in everithing you set on line i am so gratefull for your work thank you for shearing, your pasion is an inpiration. Thank u little fairy sweatheart❤
This series is so exciting!! I've tried to sew underwear before but the patterns available weren't interesting to me, and I didn't even know where to begin with drafting. Thank you for sharing your expertise!
How did I just discovered you today? I found the discussion very interesting, the kind of discussion I see MinaLe making. Also, I like intricate sewing videos (most of them historical sewing), just like Bernadette Banner's. I'm here to stay! Thank you so very much. Now I *need* handmade silk underware ❤
I loooved watching these videos! I have learned so much 😍 they are so inspiring and beautifully made 🥰 I’m trying to figure out how to make underwear but I’m looking for a boxer like style not shortie nor hipsters but more like a boyfriend boxer without the multiple lines for men but with a comfortable guset and cute girly design (like these adorable undies you make). Would you be willing to show how to make one like that? I’m a total newbie 😭😭
Hello, loving all the historical explanations! Do you have a book? I thonk your insight are so interesting and inspiring. To many questions here... Sorry. If you don't mind me asking. Are you a teacher at some institution? I think it will be a delight to attend a class. 😊 All my appreciation for your work.
Hi Katerina! Thank you so much for the tutorials and patterns! In the process of making these now, and had a question. If the bias cut back pieces aren't lying flat in the back on the bum, should I make the CB concave seam line more curved or less? Just trying to achieve the seamless effect! Thanks!!
Hey Kiki! So nice that you're sewing along. You'd need to make the CB curve less. If it isn't lying flat on the bum the line 9-23 needs to be shorter. To achieve that 16-18 and 17-19 needs to be shorter. You can maybe try 1cm for 16-18 and 0,5 for 17-19. This will change the angle of 18-1-20 and thus make 9-23 shorter. Hope that helps :)
@@awkwardaszana46 Ah! This is "Die Mode" (german: the fashion) by Max von Boehn. He was one of the earliest fashion historians. It is an interesting read to understand fashion from the point of view of the early 20th century. If you're interested in fashion theory, I highly recommend Pierre Bourdieus "Distinction: A Social Critique of the Judgment of Taste". I will also talk about some other books in my next videos :)
@@bckoral Well I think with an existing pair, you'd just need to cut them up basically and transfer the pattern. It's a bit hard to demonstrate since there are so many different varieties of undies :)

I bought mine in bulk at sewy.de
Can you give book recommendations please? 📖🫶🏽
