This song brings back one of my fondest memories of my parents who I saw in a private moment slow dancing to this song in our living room in suburban Boston. I was probably around ten years old and I wisely stayed silent.
You were a wise young boy, John. One of my fondest memories was seeing the joy in my 13 years old son's face as he ran over to video his Mother and I slow dancing at my niece's wedding in a public moment that he made truly special. Our family (the three of us and his near Irish twin brother) had gone through several years of horrific heartbreak including three suicide attempts right in front of the boys (then 6 and 7 years old). That look on his face has pretty much replaced another look on his face that every once in a great while now, still haunts me. The one I saw on his angelic 6 year old little boy face in the instant after the third suicide attempt, when he realized that one of us wanted to die, and didn't want to be with us anymore. Children have a primal yearning for their parents to love each other, and they instinctively know how to encourage that.
As a HUGE Andy Kim fan, all I can say is THANK YOU!!! This work shows a love of music as well as an uncanny talent for subtle (yet wholly noticed and appreciated) creativity.
Thanks Ed! It's nice to have an audience to share it with. I made some enhanced versions back in the 1980's but I never would have gone to the lengths I have today if UA-cam didn't exist! Kenn
This song baby I love you Is a awesome and excellent song and I love this song and I added it to my playlist. Andy Kim is so amazing as a talented artist.
This song is for all boyfriends and girlfriends of any age who really know what love is. love women you are beautiful, God could not have done anything better than you to accompany men on our journey, whether in peace or in war defending our country. Thank you beautiful.
I LOVE Andy Kim!! He did another song called "I wish" (I think that's the title), and I'd love to hear that one enhanced as well. What an awesome job on this song!
Always loved this song, since I was a teen. And what made it, & many others, great, was Phil Spector's writing, and "Wall Of Sound" production techniques. Spector had a gift for music, yet was such a nasty person in his personal life.
Is this a new recording? It sounds like the 1969 Steed Recording I had in 1970.It brings back memories of the girl who had a crush on me then.I should have gone after her and she came back to haunt me twenty five years later.I never really got over her.
I'm not familiar with this channel, but it sounds as if some of the percussion sounds and background voices are coming from behind. Is that deliberate and something you can control with whatever software you are using? I've heard for some time that there is such a thing as "fake surround sound" or fake quadrophonic sound, but never much about how it has been implemented. When I was a kid, Lafayette radio actually sold "4 channel headphones" which had drivers in the front and rear of each earcup, but it each eardrum is probably not, in itself, sensitive to front and rear; it's probably only the way that the shape of the human ear distorts the phase relationships of the frequencies that create the impression that the sound it "coming from behind".
Really lining this. Can I hear your voice echoing near the beginning? I'm trying to get a feel for this. Something else sounds different too--I think it's the drums. Fantastic!
Hi Randi--you would have to know the original and then compare to hear the difference. I did a lot of tracking on this in vocals but I wish I had used a 12 string acoustic instead of 6. I save those backtrack sessions so I can go back and hear exactly what instruments, vocals and percussion were added to the original. Kenn
Love the clean and clear recording enhancement for this great classic seventy's song.
When I hear enhancements like this I think ....YOU,VE NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD!💎 Auckland New Zealand 2024
1969 was a very good year--and this song is one of the reasons that it was.
KILLER SOUND! It NEVER sounded as good! It puts the summer of `69 right in my face!

Andy Kim needs to release all of his Steed hits on a cd collection, I don't understand why he is holding them back.

This channel is a guy who takes old songs and enhances them by adding a few of his own touches like a guitar or piano or bells or claps etc.
How about "Rainbow Ride" ??
Great pop in the Phil Spector tradition
Smokin!
great enhancement even though left channel heavy.
nice.
Jeff Barry's Steed distributed by DOT and outside the US by just DOT.
I wish someone would sing this to me
"Baby, I Wub Wooo"

I did listen to it, and compared. I must say I much prefer yours! I did your vocal tracking. Sounded awesome.
I noticed that too just as I was reading your stuff. Definitely the drums.
For years I thought this guy was Engelbert
Andrew Joachim who later changed his name to Andy Kim.
His next hit was Shoot 'Em Up,Baby.
Shi---zuk---o 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
