"In the year 2525" Zegr & Evans. 1969 ""Honey", aka "Honey (I Miss You)" Bobby Goldsboro. 1968 "I'm Henery the VIII, I Am" (Cockney style) Herman's Hermits. 1965. "Timothy" The Buoys 1971. "Georgy Girl" The Seekers. 1968 "Elusive Butterfly" (of Love) Bob Lind. 1965.
Ronstadt really showcased her vocal talent, clarity, and range in an album of big band hits she did with Nelson Riddle's orchestra. You oughtta try listening to it.
Wow awesome video - I knew and remembered all of these songs! I'm 67 but had a sister that was 7 years older than me and we listened to records and the radio all the time so I knew all words to these too. Fun memories for me - wish songs today were as good as they were in the 60's and 70's. Love your channel!
This list is of songs that are staples of classic rock. None are underrated and anyone that listened to radio over the last 60 years has not forgotten them.
Really enjoyed this! Although I wasn't around in the 60s, I absolutely love the music from this decade! I have half of these songs on my Spotify playlist!!
A really great almost never heard and forgotten song from 1968 was America by the Nice, very powerful and stands the test of time, this was a supergroup and another great track was released at the end of the sixties but is almost totally unknown and what a track!, Thunder buck Ram by Mott the Hoople
There were a few I don't remember hearing. My future husband's brother was at least 7-8 years older than him, and I remember listening to most of these songs on the radio in '82. Itchycoo Park is, by far, my number one on this list!
@@lorihallenbeck8781 I love playing in my car, during the summer with the windows down lol I've got a few thumbs up from other drivers when I have that song blasting lol
I personally recommend "Smile A Little Smile for Me" by The Flying Machine! It was a big hit at the time it came out, but has been somewhat buried and forgotten over time, and even oldies stations over the years have generally ignored it.
I remember them very well! Loved to listen to songs when the world and I were both young and everything was still possible! These were the songs from my high school years back when high school was three years!
I listen on the 60’s gold station 🚉 on Sirius -XM on the radio 📻 and I really enjoy 😊 it!!! It’s great going back to those old times when it reminds me of a better time than. I’m a 60’s era. Most kids don’t realize how much music 🎵 back then was so amazing 😻!!! Some of my favorites are: Rolling Stones, Marianne Faithful, The Hollies, and many others, especially UK 🇬🇧 music 🎼. Please post more types like this one. Thanks so very much. 😊 19:18
I really enjoy 60s music. Classic rock mostly. To the 80s. Now all the songs sound the same. They use the same 4 notes. They we’re more invented back then.
Great list. I agreed with all your picks, except maybe the Yardbirds and Electric Prunes. They didn't hit quite as hard at the time, to me. The others were I-Remember-Where-I-Was-When-I-First-Heard-It songs. I was just a kid in the 60s, but damn, how lucky I was to have lived through this time in music. The Zombies were great. Sunny is a wonder of a song. Dusty Springfield, so many hits. The Temptations. Every week, some new masterpiece.
My music collection is over 11,000 songs including all of these except for the Stone Ponies which will be added. Growing up I wanted to be a radio station DJ and play all the great music of that time. I could make many lists of songs like those in this video.
The Small Faces were big in the UK (Until Steve Marriott left to form Humble Pie) 4 hits I remember are Sha-La-Lee, Tin Soldier, Itchycoo Park and Lazy Sunday Rod Stewart and Ron Wood (ex Jeff Beck Group) came in and they became The Faces
Can’t wait to hear these songs!!
I remember ALL of them!! ❤️
The memories came rushing back. Love every one of these.

I remember them all. Thanks for sharing.
These are all of my favorites growing up , love them, and still listen to them.

Sixties and seventies were my favorite decades for music. :)
Love the Zombies. Many excellent songs ❤
I'm old, I remember all these songs by the way, Jimmy Page and in The Yardbirds. You forgot Spanky and Our Gang Sunday Will Never Be The Same.

I remember all of them and I wasn't born until 1972. But I had 3 older brothers that would play all of these songs. That's how I learned about them

@@lisalynnmarie2448I love that,too
Not a song here I don't know and love. Unbelievable how young Jimmy Page was when he was in the Yardbirds.
@@lorihallenbeck8781 You're so right. He's always the best!

Santana , in 1980, did a cover song of "She's not There."
Love ❤️ Santana for sure 😊💜💯🦋!!
Great list!
My favorite from the list is EVERYBODY'S TALKING".

The songs are good, but there is songs from the 60’s and beyond that have truly been forgotten and have had little to no airplay in the day.
I really enjoy 60s music. Classic rock mostly. To the 80s. Now all the songs sound the same. They use the same 4 notes. They we’re more invented back then.
Know every single one of these !
Your videos are always so entertaining and informative! Thank you for that! 💋🔥
Good list. 👍
great set list! How about "San Francisco Girls (Return of the Native)" by Fever Tree. Another gem.
You need to change the 11 to 12 in the title!!!
😎👌✌️
I have all these songs in my music collection. The 60s music was quite good!
"Incense and Peppermints" was playing on my 45rpm record player ad nauseum. Great reminiscing, though.
All great songs!
Music to Watch Girls By - Bob Crewe Generation
Forgotten hits of the 60’s 😂😂😂😂 they’re still played on terrestrial radio as they were when they were new.
I know a lot of these but i know a couple of them from the more famous covers (Dusty Springfield's cover of Spooky)
Greatest line ever in a song from Everybody’s Talking, “Going where the weather suits my clothes”
A Super Fantastic List!
You did a really great job here. Very nice ❤
Less Talk And More Music.

What's with all the short Ram Jam clips tossed throughout the video?
Why did the dog bring gloves to the park?
Because he heard it was a great place to scratch his itchypoo!

There are only two types of men: those who crush on Linda Rondstadt and those who are gay.
And even some of the gay guys...
