I teared up too; thinking we'll never have these innocent days again. The covid thing brings me to UA-cam to go back in time; the "old days" and the best music/bands. No "new normal" or new "music" for me. A real melody with lyrics you understand by musicians who really played and vocals that weren't electronically altered.
Little Sweetie This music was written to bring us joy and though we “can’t go home again”,we can take this great music with us wherever we go! Listening to the DC5 always puts a smile on my face🎼😊🎼 Hope it will do that for you too real soon .Better days are coming 😊🌈😉
My memory every time I hear this song takes me back to the 60’s to a coastal town that was popular hangout for kids with a large selection of pinball machines. Great times when life was less complicated, and kids could be left for hours with no fear.
And they used real words!! Real, proper, understandable English words. Not knocking other languages, but what we're presented with these days may as well be in an alien dialogue, for all I can understand of it!! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Hi Mark W, this is also the time era as a young teenager ( & hippie Chic) & still have a few of their LP's, can understand what they are saying, but most of the music you could. Have a hard time with trying to understand rap!! Talk so fast you can't understand them very irritating, anyway greetings from Anchorage Alaska, 1953 territory baby, Polio survivor, 9 months old almost died but iron lung saved my life and I was there for a month, didn't even walk yet. Miss that time era, Louisa, peace out ✌️❄️🏔️
Saw the Dave Clark Five in Chicago when I was a teenager. Had front row seats. Mike Smith was my favorite. Awesome memories of a happier time. So glad I grew up when I did before the world went crazy.
I keep coming back over and over to this song. It was one of the very best you enhanced. What a great song and the sound is superb! I found out today that you passed away in January 2022. I was reading the comments on your enhanced song..Keith 98.6 that you had passed and was truly shocked. You will be extremely missed. Thank you for helping me relive so many great memories from the 60s and 70s. Rest In Peace my friend.
Still listening to this gem on high rotation in 2020. I was singing along in the grocery store a few months ago. People smiled and totally got it. The DC5 are still criminally overlooked.
I was a young impressionable kid when my older brother and cousins were playing theses records at the house; such great memories. I'm 62 now and I realize more than ever that the music of the 60's will never ever be duplicated.
This song is simply amazing! It has everything, warmth, passion, and that organ is the soul of the tune. I have heard Because before in stereo, but this version blows away the other one! Too bad all those early british rock groups like the Kinks weren't recorded in true stereo like this gem. This tune NEVER gets old.

@@richardhartford609 They had a fine run for the the times & Dave was a smart as hell guy on top of his talents. Around 16 or so albums & an induction into the now lame Rock n Roll Hall of Fame i would say that's not a sad accomplishment . It was the sad facts of the deaths of several members later in their careers that was the sad part of what was & is a great band of their generation. At 83 Dave's still with us & he sure has made his mark on music & music history. Not as bad as many bands from the mid 60s.
Yes the DC5 brings back so many good memories of when the 60’s 70’s were the best years of my life. Songs that were priceless and meaningful, never to be forgotten.
Hay canciones como esta, que son atemporales, es decir buenas para escuchar en todo tiempo. La letra es sencilla y fácil de entender, el ritmo es bueno y ha sido una de mis favoritas de todos los tiempos.
One of the best songs from the past. There's a small tear in eye every time I hear this song. I remember John, David, Billy, Sam, Chris, and so many more from that time , all whom died way too young. Thanks for this beautiful rendition of this song, well done.
2024 & reliving my 1st date with my now husband. DC5 performed in Singapore & he brought me. Always felt DC5 at the time really did give even the Beatles a run for their money.
Dave Clark Five is one of the finest bands ever. Lyrics, Melodys ..yep....played my 45s over and over and over until I knew every word. Great good ole days of record player and record's oh and dance. I ❤️ LOVE to dance
My word, I was twelve years old and this song stirred so much hireath in me. My first huge crush, Larrissa K. Still brings a tear. My ex passed away almost three years now, and it's still painful. Here it comes again. Still single and starting to crush on a gal, I can't believe I have the same swoon factor left in me and I'm 67yrs old.
I couldn't agree with you more. Those were the best days. The music was great! Life seemed simpler ....but life goes on. I'm thankful for having this technology to hear these beautiful songs.....great memories!
Beautiful song from the 60’s. Still beautiful in 2024. I remember this being played on the top 40 radio at the community pool in Bellaire Tx when I was a kid. Those were good days to grow up in the 60’s. Very cute girls in bikinis were everywhere.
Back in the late 60's, My band The Kastaways had the immense pleasure of opening for The Dave Clark 5 at the Boston Gardens. We where a local band from the town of Winchester and only in our early twenty's when we had the gig. I have to say these guy's where complete gentleman, and fun to be around. We had a dynamite time playing ,the Garden was packed and we where all rocking. Alas they are all gone now except for Dave, but I still have all the memories of that night.
Lenny Davidson is still with us.Let's hope Dave will be sharing the profits when the new remastered double vinyl "All The Hits" comes out on Jan 24,2020. Lenny is so deserving of a piece of that pie !
@@fangirllinda agreed.... And Dave Clark screwed Mike Smith over too.... So sad because Mike was actually the musical genius behind thé group. He was never given crédit for thé incredible work he produced. No one got their fair share because Dave Clark was not willing to acknowledge the talent of anyone else. Loved Mike Smith and do disappointed in how Dave Clark treated them.
Valarie Newsham I think all DC5 fans were disappointed to find out that the band members may have been shortchanged. It’s hard to know all the details, but maybe the guys just weren’t aware of what they were signing away on those contracts. And then there’s Ron Ryan....🤦🏻♀️ The most disappointing story(and saddest) is how Dave allegedly didn’t come up with the funds to buy Mike the special wheelchair or van that he needed after the accident. That breaks my heart😞especially since Dave often refers to himself and Mike as being “mates”.The only up side to that story is there may have been some royalties from the use of GAO in the 2006 movie “Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties” I sure hope some of that went to Mike. Having said all that, the silver lining is that 56 years later,The DC5 music still makes me smile 🎶💕🎶 RIP Denis,Mike, and Rick.
As a kid in the 60's I at times had to stop and think is the Beatles then realize it was DC5. And even for some time I thought Mike Smith was Dave Clark. Mike Smith should have gotten far more recognition. What a wonderful time to grow up. I tried to watch this years Grammy's and couldn't take 45 seconds of it..This is a reason why... RIP Mike.. Can you imagine seeing DC6, The Hollies and the Kinks..Yea that's the shows what we went to..
Thank you so very much for posting this, the sound quality is simply superb, I remember this song from when I was a boy in London, it came to mind yesterday, happy memories from simpler times.
Always loved these guys! They had such a pure sound and great harmonies too. They had one hit after another and came closer to the Beatles than any other group did back then. Miss them
Its nice to be listening to the old songs by The Dave Clark Five taking us all during our younger days and the only difference are numbers added every year of our life and enjoying our life style to the end!💋💖💯
This song is really dream-like. Love listening to this with headphones on for that feeling. Just imagine this playing while traveling through space, watching all of the stars/planets/comets/moons go by.. You’re flying around like Superman alone or with a loved one holding hands, just exploring.. Nothing but this song playing.
Incredible that them and the Beatles coexisted for a short time. And they wrote and performed and come out with hits simultaneously. Like a huge waterfall

I LOVE this group the bighest Dave Clark Five.I was just 15 years old n now l am 75 years of age but still they in my heart.l always do listening with their songs forever.❤
I'm 69 and still swaying this song that I am singing to my husband who has passed away.
My eyes are filling with tears, it's one of those songs that reminds me of a past that looked, sounded and felt so very different; I miss it. :(
Nice to know a young person appreciate the timeless beauty of this perfect little love song!

Me too
I teared up too; thinking we'll never have these innocent days again. The covid thing brings me to UA-cam to go back in time; the "old days" and the best music/bands. No "new normal" or new "music" for me. A real melody with lyrics you understand by musicians who really played and vocals that weren't electronically altered.
Little Sweetie
This music was written to bring us joy and though we “can’t go home again”,we can take this great music with us wherever we go! Listening to the DC5 always puts a smile on my face🎼😊🎼
Hope it will do that for you too real soon .Better days are coming
😊🌈😉
My memory every time I hear this song takes me back to the 60’s to a coastal town that was popular hangout for kids with a large selection of pinball machines. Great times when life was less complicated, and kids could be left for hours with no fear.
Wildwood N.J. the Jersey shore.
And all over Texas in the 60's, too. Riding bikes, playing kick the can, catching fireflies, falling in love for the first time.
REAL music, REAL vocals, REAL meaning. Beautiful then, beautiful now, timeless. I still have a couple of DC5 LP’s
Boa
And they used real words!! Real, proper, understandable English words. Not knocking other languages, but what we're presented with these days may as well be in an alien dialogue, for all I can understand of it!! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Great music!!
Miss that time era, Louisa, peace out ✌️❄️🏔️
Yes, this is real music just you and your instruments. I have this song on a 45
Saw the Dave Clark Five in Chicago when I was a teenager. Had front row seats. Mike Smith was my favorite. Awesome memories of a happier time. So glad I grew up when I did before the world went crazy.
I'm in my 20's right now but this is the kind of songs I listen because of my father. It's sad that my generation dont listen to this kind of music.
spot on young man.....agree
I keep coming back over and over to this song. It was one of the very best you enhanced. What a great song and the sound is superb! I found out today that you passed away in January 2022. I was reading the comments on your enhanced song..Keith 98.6 that you had passed and was truly shocked. You will be extremely missed. Thank you for helping me relive so many great memories from the 60s and 70s. Rest In Peace my friend.
Still listening to this gem on high rotation in 2020. I was singing along in the grocery store a few months ago. People smiled and totally got it. The DC5 are still criminally overlooked.
I'm 56 years old and I was only a baby when this song came out! Still, it's better than listening to contemporary music any day!
Five handsome guys, SO MUCH great music..like this beautiful song which still sounds fantastic in 2022. OMG..those were the days! 🤗❤️
I was a young impressionable kid when my older brother and cousins were playing theses records at the house; such great memories. I'm 62 now and I realize more than ever that the music of the 60's will never ever be duplicated.
The world is so much changed ,born in 1950 and this music on the internet brings so much needed love 👋🖖✌️
JOHN i love your comment , these guys were so goog looking and always very smart ,,,The harmonies were splendid , this song as such a lovely romantic touch ,,,long live the 60s era im so happy i was their lol to all fans Jane x💚💙💛❤
So glad I grew up in the 50's and 60's...when the music, dancing and hot rods reigned supreme.
My father's go to song when he plays guitar. Rest in heavens dad Ramon 1952 - 2024
The 60’s will go down in history as the best decade ever......
thecoolmans.simplesite.com my dc5 page
and the seventies
50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s
Louis Russo pretty sure that decade sucked. The music was amazing though.
EnglandBengal , Well that’s because your from across the pond but here in America it was the best decades in America History.......
Estás canciones me regresan a mi infancia, y me da nostalgia, porque las escuchaba, cuando mi madre aun vivia, que gratos recuerdos 🥰😭😊😊
BECAUSE was their best song and best recording, very well arranged, performed and recorded.
Justin i agree with your comment , This classic will still be played in eternity ,,,long live the 60s era lol Jane x🎶🎶🎵🎵🎼🎼🎼🎼🎹🎷🎺🎤🎸💽💽📀📀
@@oughtonoughton2634 One of the all time great songs and recordings of all time - it never gets old. All the best Jane, God bless you!
Take a close look at ethe DC5 story. Not good.
@paullevine1813 Yes to most of what you say, but DC cheated the other band members.
Yes the DC5 brings back so many good memories of when the 60’s 70’s were the best years of my life. Songs that were priceless and meaningful, never to be forgotten.
One of my favorite songs ever!! ❤ 🎶 ❤
A'm still listenig this beatifull tune, one of my favorits band DC5s
I'm 75 and still loving the music
Hay canciones como esta, que son atemporales, es decir buenas para escuchar en todo tiempo. La letra es sencilla y fácil de entender, el ritmo es bueno y ha sido una de mis favoritas de todos los tiempos.
One of the best songs from the past. There's a small tear in eye every time I hear this song. I remember John, David, Billy, Sam, Chris, and so many more from that time , all whom died way too young. Thanks for this beautiful rendition of this song, well done.
most beautiful love song ever.. loved it i n 64 and even more now..
Dave Clark 5, I was only 13 when I heard this song , and fell in love ,I still love the 60's
Great songwriters
Melodic everlasting

This song will never die. BECAUSE it’s immortal. Give me, give me a thumbs up if you’re still listening like me in 2023… Thanks.

My ever favorite song since teen age life🫰💕😍
2024 aug.
2024 & reliving my 1st date with my now husband. DC5 performed in Singapore & he brought me. Always felt DC5 at the time really did give even the Beatles a run for their money.
Such a romantic song from an innocent time. This song is on my playlist. Their voices are so harmonious. I never got tired of this one!!
My favorite DC5 song by far.....those notes they hit when they sing "You know it makes me blue" are nothing short of sublime!!! Mike Smith rocks!
This pandemic time, I love to hear this beautiful classical music so relaxing.
Keep swooning!
I couldn't agree with you more. Those were the best days. The music was great! Life seemed simpler ....but life goes on. I'm thankful for having this technology to hear these beautiful songs.....great memories!
Most beautiful song of the 60's n still is especially with the enchanted sound
GRAN QUINTETO LA DE DAVE CLARK FIVE
EN SUS MOMENTOS DIGAMOS DE ANTAÑO
HICIERON VIBRAR A TODA NUESTRA JUVENTUD
QUE TUVIMOS LA DICHA DE VERLOS TRIUNFAR.
Me encanta Dave Clark , estuvo acompañando a Freddie al final de su vida, como hacen las personas que se preocupan por sus amigos ❤❤
the youth has left me but song like this one has lived forever in my humble heart....
thank u for a like...
Un exitazo de los años inolvidables de los sesenta, una gran Banda, que hoy ya no existen, un gran recuerdo.
Beautiful song from the 60’s.
Still beautiful in 2024.
I remember this being played on the top 40 radio at the community pool in Bellaire Tx when I was a kid.
Those were good days to grow up in the 60’s. Very cute girls in bikinis were everywhere.
THE GREATEST YEARS OF THE 60’S
Back in the late 60's, My band The Kastaways had the immense pleasure of opening for The Dave Clark 5 at the Boston Gardens. We where a local band from the town of Winchester and only in our early twenty's when we had the gig. I have to say these guy's where complete gentleman, and fun to be around. We had a dynamite time playing ,the Garden was packed and we where all rocking.
Alas they are all gone now except for Dave, but I still have all the memories of that night.
Nice to hear . I don't think they ever played live on TV appearance ?
@@jamescalifornia2964 Yes Ed Sullivan show.
Valarie Newsham
I think all DC5 fans were disappointed to find out that the band members may have been shortchanged. It’s hard to know all the details, but maybe the guys just weren’t aware of what they were signing away on those contracts. And then there’s Ron Ryan....🤦🏻♀️
The most disappointing story(and saddest) is how Dave allegedly didn’t come up with the funds to buy Mike the special wheelchair or van that he needed after the accident.
I tried
to watch this years Grammy's and couldn't take 45 seconds of it..This is a reason why... RIP Mike.. Can you imagine seeing DC6, The Hollies and the Kinks..Yea that's the shows what we went to..
You're more with-it than I am. I didn't know that Mike was the lead singer until now!
It's one of those wonderful songs that I always listen to on my tube amp. Pure magic of the 60s that brighten my day. Thanks so much!!
Agree but Take a close look at the DC5 story. Not good.
I am 79 and I love and remember this wonderful song in the 60s Dave Clark Five great band 😍😍😍❤❤❤💯🥰
One of the most perfectly written and performed pop songs of all time!
Agreed. Every group has at least one masterpiece in them. This was the DC5's masterpiece.
In this quarantine. I still listening old songs. 2020 still the best.
This song is really dream-like. Love listening to this with headphones on for that feeling.
Just imagine this playing while traveling through space, watching all of the stars/planets/comets/moons go by.. You’re flying around like Superman alone or with a loved one holding hands, just exploring.. Nothing but this song playing.
we need more compassion and caring in this old world of ours !!!! .
Hello Karen, how are you doing?
@@jamesmorgan6642 brugh
Incredible that them and the Beatles coexisted for a short time. And they wrote and performed and come out with hits simultaneously. Like a huge waterfall
Can you imagine trying to have a band to compete with these guys and the Beatles. Talk about impossible competition.
Yes my friend....it.truly was....a Waterfall of great bands 👍👌🌞🤗
Take a close look at ethe DC5 story. Not good.
Childhood days were so special when these songs were popular. I really feel sorry for kids today. The world was so different then.
This was one of my favorite love songs pouring out of my transistor radio back in the day. This cleaner, richer version makes me love it all over again 👍👍
We all had a transistor radio back then.
Being from Chicagoland I would be listening to WLS and WCFL.
@@larryl1427 boa
@@larryl1427 I too listened to WCFL at night here in NJ on my 6 transister. I think WLS was right next to our local WABC and hard to tune in. We were so lucky to grow up in that era!
Great song I too was raised in the 60s life so much simpler then great music to listen to thanks for putting it on UA-cam so others can listen and reminisce
Old soul here who loves old but classic songs but im still young❤️

I discovered the Dave Clark Five this year. I'm 53 and they're awesome!
I said a prayer to my heavenly father and I listened to this song and the tears were flooding from my eyes this song was so soothing to my soul. I believe the Lord sent this song my way because after I had a good cry I felt better
