Its 2021 now, I'm 72 and am really enjoying the music of the 50's, 60's and 70's all over again. You guys that are redoing these songs are GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thank you from the bottom of my pea pickin heart. God bless.
Love this tune!! Lately I have been taking a beautiful trip down memory lane with the Monkees, who played a pivotal role in my coming of age.......what fond memories!!! RIP DAVY, MICHAEL AND PETER!! YOU ARE SO MISSED.........
I like the way the rhythm section is brought forward a little more. Didn’t realize this song had such a cool, punchy beat. Nice work by the drums and bass.
The song a little bit me by the Monkees is a awesome and excellent song and I love this song and it's also a amazing song. I grew up watching the Monkees on TV and the songs and the TV show is a awesome and excellent and amazing TV show and I added it to my playlist.
The great disappearing single; despite reaching number 2, it was left off “Headquarters” (NO MORE JEFF BARRY/DON KIRSHNER!!) and got left behind. There wasn’t even a proper finished stereo mix for “Greatest Hits”. Rhino did finally prepare one for the boxed set, and this one is even more amazing.
Lyrics: Walk out, girl don’t you walk out We’ve got things to say Talk out, let’s have it talked out Things will be okay Girl, I don’t want to fight That I’m a little bit wrong And you’re a little bit right I said girl, you know that it’s true It’s a little bit me (A little bit me) And it’s a little bit you …too Don’t know …just what I said wrong But girl, I apologize Don’t go …here’s where you belong So wipe the tears from your eyes Girl, I don’t want to fight That I’m a little bit wrong And you’re a little bit right I said girl, you know that it’s true It’s a little bit me (A little bit me) And it’s a little bit you …too Oh girl, I don’t want to fight That I’m a little bit wrong And you’re a little bit right I said girl, you know that it’s true It’s a little bit me (A little bit me) And it’s a little bit you …too It’s a little bit me (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit me) It’s a little bit you (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit you) Girl don’t go (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit me) No, no, no, no, no (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit you) Girl don’t go (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit me) No, no, no, no, no (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit you) Hey girl (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit me) Hey girl (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit you) Please don’t go …
+SupernalOne No...Neil Diamond actually wrote this song as well as I'm A Believer. I'm sure he got royalties from it. He wrote a lot of hits for a lot of artist. The reason I said this song screams Neil Diamond is because I could tell just by listening to it. Not only because of the similar chord structure to Cherry Cherry. It's just the feel, the rhythm and the lyrics sounds very Neil Diamondish. I guessed it to be a Neil Diamond song before I checked the credits to see.
Music 🎶. Brilliant. Help me if you can. The last monkey, the last beegee, the last Beatles, the last rolling Stone. I wonder what the music would be like.?
Great job, Kenn!! I used to hear bad, tinny versions of this song where Davy's vocals were so off balance that I'd turn off the radio/change the station.
I don't want to burst anyone's bubble about the monkees but before I say this, I love the monkees. The monkees was a band formed by the owners of the monkees cartoon show. They really didn't know each other. According tothe documentary I watched months ago, early on the monkees didn't write their song and didn't sing very many. It was actually a band that didn't exist so to speak. They were hired to eventually do the cartoon show. Later on they protested so much that they were allowed to write a "few" songs. Now how many and which songs are not known. They were also allowed to do some vocals. And when the cartoon show ended they were literally out of a job. The powers that be eventually allowed them to go out on their own and use the Monkees name. But it didn't last long as they underestimated what it took to have a successful band. Now granted, all this was according to the documentary. I've never googled it to see what the internet said. Y'all might want to do that if your interested enough. But let me say I really don't care, the Monkees were a part of my teenage years and I will always love them. I'm 72 and just found out about 6 mos ago.
have you ever thought of making this recording commercialy?? I mean, to put thos on CD's ?? I would (and I guess, millions) buy them all.. if you do so please keep us posted, do you have a website?? thanks, regards
+azcappra I added my voice on top of Davey's to give it more punch in certain parts. I do voice impersonations of over 200 famous people and it helps me when I make these enhanced recordings. I'd like to point out something else in relation to your question as to why they didn't make the original recording like this. For one thing the studios were primitive to what we have access to today. Looking back they did as pretty good job as could be expected for that time but by today's standards of what is possible the quality needs something to be desired. That is precisely why I make these enhanced versions because (1) I have the recording equipment and computer multitrack digital software that allows me to bring up the quality of the original to a higher standard while still preserving the quality of the original version. (2) I would not have been able to make recordings like this even 5 years ago because it takes hundreds if not thousands of hours of sound experimentation to know how to integrate new instruments into the old recordings in a way that does justice to the style of the original. I don't get paid a dime to do any of this and probably never will. (3) I do this because I like to hear the old classics in a way that sounds like they are new again for my own listening pleasure. (4) UA-cam allows me to share these versions with an audience I would never have access to otherwise. (5) As an offshoot of UA-cam and the over 2 million hits I've had some radio stations are now playing these versions on their oldies shows. To me it's the ultimate fun hobby and that's why I do it. Kenn
@@cinematic35 Well said . You want to hear a great remaster job go listen to the remastered version of The Beatles 1 greatest hits . Giles Martin did an incredible job with it and how the stereo versions should have sounded way back when . No more left side vocals with instruments on the other side . Voices are centered , the instruments and bass have a lot more punch to them . Ringos kickdrum is very noticeable now . Just a great job .
This record got kind of buried; despite reaching #2 on Billboard it did not see an LP stereo release-cut from “Headquarters” (1967). An incomplete, rather pissy version turned up on Greatest Hits in 1969. It was finally properly mixed in stereo for the boxed set “Listen to the Band” (1991). This particular mix is amazing; clean & clear.
How does he do this? , amazing! I can hear so much more detail, I'm listening on high end headphones, and using DFX Gold (an app that improves the sound fidelity ) on ASUS laptop. Tickles my ears . . . . I want to download all cinimatic 35 mixes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I haven't seen some of these comments and I'm glad you like these enhanced versions. I'm only making them because there is an audience on UA-cam for it. My circle of friends might be 15 people I would have been able to share them with but because of UA-cam it's more like 3 million and counting. How do I make these recording? Basically I like to fool around with audio signals, especially sound effects. My friends had a small home recording studio back in the 1990's and that is where I got experience in multitracking with a Teac 8-Track machine. Then digital multitracks came along and better yet the computer multitrack program. That did it for me cause then I had the studio inside the computer program to quality control audio signals to a perfection. Olivia Newton John was the first recording artists I enhanced back in the 1980's and from there is has included over 200 more artists. So that is what you're hearing on these uploaded versions of the old classics made to sound like new remastered or alternate versions. Kenn
Always wondered why the producers stuck Peter Tork on bass and Nesmith on lead guitar. Peter was a much better guitar player than Nesmith. I've seen live footage of Peter at Monkees concerts in the 60's paying banjo. He was quite natural at it. When Nesmith plays, he's constantly looking down at his guitar. Kind of awkward at it.
Its 2021 now, I'm 72 and am really enjoying the music of the 50's, 60's and 70's all over again. You guys that are redoing these songs are GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thank you from the bottom of my pea pickin heart. God bless.
One of my all-time favorite songs!💕🤸🤸🤸
Same here. Top ten for sure for me...
Songs like this are so enduring. You can come back 20 years later and it will still sound great.
The days when they got together and pressed record.
No computers
No enhancement of technology to make an artist sound better..
Love these guys
Neil wrote it, The Monkees nailed it, Kenn revived it. Thanks. ❤️
Davy is obviously the lead in this song, but who is singing back up?
Neil Young?
Sorry, I just corrected myself. Diamond.
I can not tell you how much I APPRECIATE your work....you clean up these songs brilliantly!!!!!!!!
Spot on
Love this tune!! Lately I have been taking a beautiful trip down memory lane with the Monkees, who played a pivotal role in my coming of age.......what fond memories!!! RIP DAVY, MICHAEL AND PETER!! YOU ARE SO MISSED.........
What a great Neil Diamond song written for the Monkees have a nice day 😉 😊
I'm 67 and sure glad someone is doing this now. Especially in 2020 with the pandemic going on.
Me too!
Me¡!!!!! 2021, I am 66 and happy of living all those and these years.
Boy, if we had more songs like this today, the Grammys would be watchable.
lotta of dang good memories of my childhood...mom and dad...i thank you for all the good...they both are in heaven...
Wow, this sounds fantastic...This was always my favorite Monkees song, but this is really good!
A classic no matter what you say. Great simple lyrics and rhythm. 🎉🎉
✨I've crushed on the Monkees forever!❤️
Fabulous work Caro Mio...Bravo.💋💋
Sei un Amore.🧚🥰🥰🥰🥰
Sounds fantastic! Well done! Rock On!
Agree 💯✌️
I like the way the rhythm section is brought forward a little more. Didn’t realize this song had such a cool, punchy beat. Nice work by the drums and bass.
Agreed--LOVE Davy's voice up front like this. Fantastic job as usual, Kenn! And thank you!
Another great enhancement of one of my favorite Monkees songs!
Love the handclapping and the organ solo at 1:37. :-)
Excellent Quality on all I have heard so far, these enhanced versions are from my era & top quality thank you AAA+
This is brilliant !, loved the new mix and I feel like downloading this for good ! Rock on The Monkees .. idols of mine in the 60s and still love them
Beautiful you did justice to the monkeys songs. I think Davy Jones is smiling god rest his soul.
I'd like to see anyone today write and record a song like this today. They couldn't do it if their lousy lives depended on it!
@@cinematic35 you do great work! Thank you very much.
Positively perfect. Hey Hey I love the Monnkees. Thankyou for this.
The song a little bit me by the Monkees is a awesome and excellent song and I love this song and it's also a amazing song. I grew up watching the Monkees on TV and the songs and the TV show is a awesome and excellent and amazing TV show and I added it to my playlist.
GREAT SONG! GREAT MEMORIES!!
a little bit brighter and punchier - very nice! thank you!
Fué una época hermosa y su musica era fascinante todavía los escucho, eran mis amores.
This is amazing! Thank you so much!!
Great follow up to "I'm A Believer" which was also written by Neil Diamond.
Un gran tema de Neil Diamond para The Monkees , gran calidad al cantarla David Jones
THE boys would be very proud of what you have done with their music
Ohhh yea, wearing the headphones ( the type that engulfs my ears) this is great upgrade to my memory of this hit, accolades and 👏👏👏
Wow! What a remix! Brilliant trebles solid base. It sounds like I have more than 2 ears.
I loved The Monkees
put the monkees in rock and roll hall of fame great group 1960 i like a lot😎🤠😝😜
Neil wrote it and is singing background with Ellie Greenwich, supposedly. He wrote it of course.
I was bummed on the Greattest hits CD with this one. The only song on the whole collection that was in Mono , Ughhhhh .
Why is it the best songs are often left out of some artists greatest hits?
Well that was stunning. Guess i'm not going to bed. LOL
😊
This just popped up, Kenn. Really a wonderful enhancement.
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THE BEST SONGS ON EARTH EVEN BETTER!!!!!!! YOU TRULY ROCK!!!!!!!
U take perfection to a higher level !!!!
Out of all the songs that Davy sings lead on, this song, Cuddly Toy and Forget That Girl are my favorites
To Mike Nesmith's credit, he did play the guitar riff to Pleasant Valley Sunday on the record.
Great song
Sounds great!
great version!!!
Fantastic
Good job on these re-makes.
Hi Kenn,
Nice enhancement on one of my Monkees' favorites.
Tom K.
Love it !
What a song good memories
Another beautiful job! Please keep up the good work!
I will miss you Kenn RIP . I cannot believe you are gone !
Superb and a fantastic job. Congrats.
Great work, as always, Kenn!!!!
These enhanced versions sound 10 times better than the original versions!
I don't know about that but some of them sound a little improved and some of them I need to redo!
The monkees were a fun happy group
That was thoroughly hated, except for teenage girls, by almost everyone on both sides of the Atlantic.
A much different happier time when everybody didnt carry around so much anger on everything .
Enjoyed it. Thank you.
You do a tremendous justice to this often overlooked but talented band.
Lyrics:
Walk out, girl don’t you walk out
We’ve got things to say
Talk out, let’s have it talked out
Things will be okay
Girl, I don’t want to fight
That I’m a little bit wrong
And you’re a little bit right
I said girl, you know that it’s true
It’s a little bit me (A little bit me)
And it’s a little bit you …too
Don’t know …just what I said wrong
But girl, I apologize
Don’t go …here’s where you belong
So wipe the tears from your eyes
Girl, I don’t want to fight
That I’m a little bit wrong
And you’re a little bit right
I said girl, you know that it’s true
It’s a little bit me (A little bit me)
And it’s a little bit you …too
Oh girl, I don’t want to fight
That I’m a little bit wrong
And you’re a little bit right
I said girl, you know that it’s true
It’s a little bit me (A little bit me)
And it’s a little bit you …too
It’s a little bit me (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit me)
It’s a little bit you (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit you)
Girl don’t go (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit me)
No, no, no, no, no (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit you)
Girl don’t go (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit me)
No, no, no, no, no (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit you)
Hey girl (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit me)
Hey girl (Ah-ah, it’s a little bit you)
Please don’t go …
Great edit
I used to have the Don Kirchner 45 that said My favorite Monkee. Davy Jones sings A Little Bit Me A Little Bit You.
I heard it caused a row with them.
I like there music for years and there TV show
Great work Mr. Wingle
THANK YOU!!!!!!
you do a great job! Thank you so much.
love this
i do this kind of thing -- its fun. but hey, very tasteful and at least your guitar is in tune :) monkeesfan before time began.
The song that got me hooked on The Monkees
Yummy! I love my organ bubblegum!
This song screams Neil Diamond.

Yes Neil's career started by writing songs, it's so him, because it is...lol

NICE!
First rate clean up on this classic. I'd love to have THIS version on my Spotify list. For now, I'll listen at my laptop with my headphones.
Very Nice!
The Wrecking Crew again
NOT the wrecking crew, dumbass.
If not WC then who played instruments on this track?
The Bass in this is perfect, it's not super loud 🔊📢 it's just right.
Look how tall Diamond was ... he was a lot taller than the Monkees ... as was seen on the Last Waltz 0:39
Nesmith is 6-1. Diamond is 6-0.
Dolenz is 6-0.
Tork is 5-9.
Mis Favoritos de chavo!!!🌹☕🏐🌞🏃😊
Better than the original.
Please, please, please put together a cd or downloads of your work. They would be worth a lot of money to me...

he couldnt afford the lawsuit, this is all copyrighted material.
SOUNDS GOOD
When Kirshner released this he lost the contract to run the Monkees. Just finished the Wikipedia article on them.
As the Beatles popularity faded, here came the Monkees
