Fishing Folsom lake for King Salmon how to find fish and hookup

- Fishing for King Salmon in Folsom Lake tricky to catch but here are some techniques that work. This is what we did to motivate these picky feeders, the lures and the setup that trigger the bite. Winter land locked chinook are not an easy adversary but well worth the effort when you get into them. Trolling with led core lines and down riggers and side planner boards are all demonstrated in the video.

@@fairplayfishing we were out two weeks back, 3 rainbows, one king. Tight lines back atcha.
I was on the lake yesterday ( Friday) water was a little stained but not bad surface temp was 52 to 53 degrees We got four rainbows at 15 to 30 ‘ deep my buddies boat got four kings 2 lb class and one nice rainbow. They were fishing in front of the dam and got the salmon at 30’ on the rigger line 120’ back 1.8mph. Green glow mini hoochies 14” behind a six inch dodger. We were fishing structure at the point where the two river arms join and didn’t get salmon although we targeted them hard. I’m thinking warmer water will bring on a stronger bite maybe next month?
