    Indians don't want a war with Pakistan or any nation. We are a very peaceful nation unless touched. We never attacked Pakistan first. But we did fire the last.

      Both countries spend a huge chunk on their security apparatus. On average India spends $64 billion while Pakistan spends $10 billion.
      It is high time for both these countries to make peace as this would enhance the outlook of region and this wastes money could be spent to provide better health and education facilities, to uproot poority etc.
      We have to make peace like Germany and France.

      I can understand where it hits. We Indian Students study this topics it's like...hmm okay we have some problems we can actually work out on solutions. We were not taught who is hegemonic, or who will win or who is save from ballastic missiles. Everything has been taught us as Grey but here it's more Black and White.

And it is not just about being able to join the academies or not, what you have done is admirable also because hardly anyone does such diligent service even in return for money! You have covered all the topics precisely and comprehensively, aur jo knowledge aapne chand videos mein diya hai, wo kisi aur source se lene mein bohat zyada time lg jata. I think many people in the future 50th Commons owe you :D

      Deterrence: to prevent a state frome taking a certain course of action. Example: China-India border skirmishes and US sent it warship to deter China.
      Compellence: compel a state to take a certain course of action which it otherwise would have not taken.
      Example: US compelled Pakistan to take part in WOT.

    Ayesha, what's your take on these?
    1. Deterrence has helped in prevention of WWIII. Why is US-Russia signing various disarmament treaties, such as the recent Start-II?
    2. Has deterrence increased arms race?
    3. Why deterrence failed to stop Kargil confrontation?

    • @akkhan2547
      @akkhan2547 3 роки тому +1

      1)Deterence is leading Us and russia toward disarmament because if both were unequally powerful they won’t have done that.
      And these disarmaments are from both side so if you look the picture collectively deterence won’t be disturbed as Both are equally losing Power through disarmament.
      2)It can increase arms Race but in the same way it can lead to disarmament as well.

    • @akkhan2547
      @akkhan2547 3 роки тому

      Bonapartist tendency of Military leader.
      Deterence can Reduce wars but can’t eliminate as war is inevitable.

      with due respect Ms Dipeeka, there could be done a lot more under leadership of Imran Khan, but due to Mody's extremist policy it all went in vain. Imran Khan asked for cooperation but in return he, instead of cooperating in good cause, rather started lobbying against Pakistan to put it in black list. I don't know about the plight and destruction that has been incurred on India due to Mody's narrow minded policies, but we are pretty satisfied with Khan's leadership, vision, plan and execution. He is always way ahead of time; his stance over Afghan Issue which was made 30 yrs earlier, now has been adapted by the USA; his strategy of smart lock down over corona was phenomenal; he is champion of peace making and peace keeping; his facilitation of USA-Iran, and Saudi- Iran was instrumental in peace making. Moreover, the release of Indian Pilot, who had attacked on Pakistan's sovereignty, testifies his loving nature. We listen to him for acquiring knowledge. His scope of knowledge is so broad that he can confuse any one; when he speaks about climate change and global warming one may think that he is an environmentalist; when he speaks about politics one may confuse that he is a professor in politics; when he speaks about IR, one may think that he is an IR analyst; whenever he speaks about history one may consider him a historian. all in all, his scope of knowledge is beyond seas.
      koi Mulk acha ya bura nhn hota, us mein kuch log achay hotay hein, kuch buray hotay hein. we love Amir Khan, Sachin and Virat; not because anything else, but just because they deserve love and respect on the basis of their skill and personal character.
      as far as China is concerned, Pakistan is independent country with an independent foreign policy. Newly elected gvt, under IK Pakistan's foreign policy is of peace and cooperation with all. Pakistan now has extended peace and cooperation with others likewise it extended it to India....... No sovereign country wd want to be dictated by its neighbor about with whom it should keep relations, just like that Pakistan also don't wants to be dictated and wd never establish relation on cost of severing its relations with China.....
