my 14 yr old son that loves to cook and bake decided to make these today. We used homemade dry ranch mix as our flavor and WOW they were awesome. So easy! Now he wants to come up with different flavors and give them as gifts to our relatives. Thanks again!
I'm not even sure if you do this intentionally, but I super appreciate the kindness and all of your videos how you give different alternatives. Even how you say not organic is okay. Thank you for making us feel better when we don't have what might be considered the best ingredients or tools, and giving us alternatives. I just feel like in this age where there's so much consumerism your channel is so refreshing
I’m not paying $3.50 for a box of crackers when I can spend a few minutes and a few cents to make something that’s far better than store bought !!! Thanks Kevin !!!!! Blessings to y’all
I made these today; I rolled them out on parchment paper. I sprinkled with seasoning salt. We 😊 love your recipe. Crackers are almost gone. Many blessings to you and family.
Always wanted to make crackers and now I can. Just got I pad, so am learning, but found you guys because of baking my own bread. We use to be on farm. We had to move, got to old , am in city with daughter, still can’t speak about our farm. So am enjoying your farm, baking . You are keeping simple and using what you have. Am not a gadget person, use what I have. You guys keep going. Thank you

Sorry, off topic entirely. I came across an herbalist on you tube and wanted to share her with you. She has a video where she works with Usnea. You might enjoy her videos in general❤ Her channel is She is of the woods. Have a lovely day y'all! I love your videos
Kevin and Sarah, I love watching your channel, whether y’all are cooking , planting the garden or gathering the garden, caring for the cows, pigs and hogs! Chickens , Ducks or anything y’all do ! Thank you so much for sharing with us ♥️♥️♥️♥️ I love your new home too♥️♥️♥️♥️
Awesome on top of the wood stovetop slow cooked soup. It's fabulous that Kevin helps in the kitchen and Sarah in the fields, etc... My biological parents were farmers + careers. My father a Colonel in Air Force. My mom a botanist and wildlife scientist, I was born in the continent of Africa. After I was sent to 🇺🇸 with relatives , the patriarch of the family wouldn't step foot in the kitchen unless dishing out supersized bowl of ice cream. The "You Tube" kudos of the week goes out to the two of you for stepping in where help is needed the most.
Well Kevin, three thumbs up for you. My husband made your bagels this morning for breakfast, I made a loaf of your artisan bread , as I do every few days and for snack tonight I made your crackers adding rosemary to the dough. All three we love! Thank you
I don't have a fancy sprayer but I have a small silicone BBQ brush that I use to brush oil on things. Works fantastic! PS. Love to watch Sarah cook but if I see Kevin in the thumbnail in the kitchen. I know it's going to be a recipe I WILL try. I'm a baker.
Tried this recipe TWICE and it is awesome. The second batch I sprinkled grated Italian cheese over the crackers after I took them out of the oven the last time. Phenomenal, everyone has to try these.
I just ordered sunflower seeds with my groceries...wouldn’t they be good in your crackers? Maybe some grated onion, too. Thank you for the recipe! Mr. Kevin! Edit: Chef John of Food Wishes posted a recipe for Brazilian Cheese Bread using tapioca flour, which is gluten free. It’s what they serve at Brazilian steak houses. Really easy to make and really delicious!
Kevin, I remembered watching this vid way back when. I found a recipe for a great little crunchy snack. Not fast by any means though. I slice zucchini on a mandolin lengthwise to about ¼" thickness. I fill up all 10 racks of the dehydrator. Then I use a mortar and pestle to make superfine kosher salt, onion powder, and garlic powder. They are for the 7 yr old and my better half. Mine, I sprinkle with smack ya mama seasoning salt. I dehydrate at 135 for 8-12 hrs depending on humidity and moisture content and such. They hold crunch very well, especially in a vacuum sealed mason jar.
@V Spook , Have a serious talk with your husband. I'm willing to bet that he would not mind cooking breakfast while you shovel the snow from the driveway ! However , I suspect that what you really want is for your husband to shovel the snow first ! And then come in and cook your breakfast as well .
@V Spook , I can't say that I blame him there . I'm a fair cook but I very much dislike the clean up part . Kind of a bummer since I live alone. lol So , I'm chief , cook and dishwasher too !
Can't wait to try these. I love crackers. I watch you guys all the time, I love how you live organically. I try to do that too as much as is possible. I also love that you are Godly. God Bless you.
I just made the crackers. They were fantastic and easy. Roll them thinner than you think. I used ital herbs, pepper (black and red) and garlic powder. Watch them closely round 2 in the oven.
Love this channel. You guys explain everything so well that every recipe I've tried from your channel has been wonderful and definitely added to my recipe book. Thank you.
I enjoyed your video (I just found you). Thank you so very, much! You're not arrogant, not a jerk, there's nothing uppity about you, you are just, down-to-earth and explain things very, very well. How nice!
I make something that my family has eaten for generations. We call them flitters. It’s just flour, milk, and a little salt. Mix to a batter like pancakes. Fry as you would a pancake. It’s a quick easy bread that can take the place of a biscuit. We eat them with gravy, make sandwiches out of them, eat them with pinto beans for something different than cornbread. They’re easy and versatile. You can add spices to make “pan” pizzas for the kids. I fry them and the kids dress them with what they like and then bake them. Great on movie nights!
I am so excited to prepare to make these crackers.......to me, this would save lots of money, since snacks are so expensive and you get only a few ounces wow.....thanks Kevin.......and I bet we can add cheese dried and many other flavorings......garlic too......rosemary too........and to think they have no preservatives, poisions added.....wow
Wow now that i am making Apple pié and the oven will be hot i am making these crackers and will be perfect next to my veggie cream soup. God Bless and be safe.
Whew!! I've been waiting for you to show this recipe! I saw you make them in another video, while Sara was cooking, and have been at the edge of my seat ever since. Thank you so much, sir! Much love and appreciation from Texas!
I watch this video for the first time about 3 years ago. I just got around to trying it 😂 the taste and texture are perfect! I didn't roll them out thin enough but I'll know better next time make them. Thanks for the recipe!
I made these today. Just great. Excellent video and a real winner. I used about 1 teaspoon of salt based on baking experience and I found them to be plenty salty given the salting step during baking. I replaced 1 cup of the white flour with a mix of rye and kernza flour (kernza is a perennial wheat). They were right on hand for me but cornflour, whole wheat, spelt and many others would work just fine. One other trick I learned recently. You can roll them out right on your baking sheet as long as they do not have too large rims (mine have none). It works really well. Keep up the great work and I will look for more of your videos.
I love making your snacks for my kids. I always tried to make healthier versions of things for them but they always complained until I started making your recipes. Now they love them and ask for them.
I wish my fella would help in the kitchen. Even doing a smidge of what you do Keven. I’m chronically sick and seldom do I have the energy it takes to provide and make for us a fraction of these wonderful recipes 🦋💜
I tried different recipes found on the Web, and wow yours is definetly the best, just what i was looking for a crisp thin cracker, great with peanut butter, thanks Kevin keep up the great videos..
