4:23 I have some bad news Kibz. You need to buffer the station with dual outputs b/c of the traing loading animation output pause. Even with a 1200p/m output, it will never reach that throughput over time if the belt is not fed 100% of the time. It MAY work for 600p/m stations, depending on how often the station is working. Need to remember the loading action is slooooow.
I am screaming internally at this. The beltwork looks horrendeus now and this won't even help. Not only this but I'm also pretty sure that the waterworks is not done properly and will clog somewhere in the future
Yes exactly. Whenever I make train stations, I always put the output buffers right at the station. It can be underneath if you want to preserve aesthetics, but regardless you need two belts going in so that they can overcome the lost time for the unloading animation. The same goes for the input at the source - also needs a double-belted buffer storage container.
I saw a post about how to make sure your pipes prioritize certain inputs after battling with the excess water with aluminunumumum for hours and hours. Basically you want to set up your pipe junction not flat where the four inputs are going forward back left right. You want it where it is oriented where one is facing straight up and the other is facing straight down. It will always prioritize the down input so if you loop the excess water from the aluminum scrap machine back to the bottom input of the junction that goes into the Sloppy alumina machine it will always prioritize that input and therefore the aluminum scrap water will always get used. Absolute game changer for recipes that have excess water. No more needing to find a nearby limestone deposit sink the water
Another option Kibitz could have done would be to have the overclocked production in the middle so the valves are pointing in instead of to one side of the trio of .Refineries.
@@staris3712 Or not have valves at all. Pipes will self balance through backflow, because one machine can't take more than it needs, so the water will go to the other pipe and continue to the next machine.

Kibitz redesigning a whole chunk of his factory to make it a bit more efficient is exactly why this is my favourite satisfactory series. In the name of optimisation!!
I really hope they fix that floor hole bug soon, I spent probably about 5 hours on both my aluminum and turbofuel builds trying to figure out wtf was going on
It was listed as fixed in one of the last patches. But it is not possible to fix floor holes that already are broken. Any newly connected ones should work fine, but you have to rebuild the pipe once like Kibs.
29:21 Makes me feel normal again. This happens 80% of the times after I finish a factory. "If I done it like this instead, it would have been so much better" I'm on my forth or fifth serious holiday from this game now since update 3 or 4 because of this. I can't help myself. I have to tear it down and build it again. I've considered professional help. Seeing you make the same mistake, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy again. You have to shift a couple of conveyer belts around, I usually need to use nukes, but you know, still... We're the same....'ish...
Love the truck falling. "Oh Look! a Penny." I was working on trying to find a decent spot for my bauxite factory. But I have to go back to my power plant and revamp it for an idea I got while eating turkey. BTW. Happy Turkey day all
Gosh I love this game so much, and you are so much fun to watch. Thanks so much for sharing what you do with us! You mentioned something a few videos back about how ficsit doesn't really care about their workers and sees them as property... i think the "engineer miner" really is property, a digital consciousness plugged in to the suit... which is why the seamless respawn is possible, the base just prints a new avatar suit as necessary, pops the saved consciousness file in and resets the incident counter. What's left at the expiration site is some scrap metal from the old suit, ready to reclaim lol It also explains why ADA can hear the song, AI limiter or no (Unless this is common knowledge and I'm slow to the party lol)
Seeing the craziness of vanilla load balancers really makes me appreciate the modular load balancers mod that much more (although imo the vanilla way looks cool, it can get out of hand very easily)
It is 131 points for each aluminum ingot. Kibitz is getting around 1,060,000 points per minute just from the aluminum ingots (removed the 40,000 from the other stuff). That means he has around 8,100 aluminum ingots per minute.
ya, didn't know if the floor hole pipe bug was still in the game, so I decided to only use them cosmetically by having the pipes go through the floors and putting the floor holes over top so that issue didn't happen. Positioning can be weird with the holes sometimes, so route the pipes through the floor hole first. Then, once you have the correct location for the holes, delete the pipes and reroute them directly together. Fixes both problems with minimal extra effort. Can't wait for the straight pipes to be added in next update
Awesome video Kibitz, I can't even imagine what it's like to set this up. I only have 2 pure nodes for my Aluminum and I didn't think I was going to make it.
Do you have a plan for the raw quartz? The aluminum recipe that needs silica is also more efficient bauxite wise if you are already considering needing to convert via SAM.
Good go bro! Everytime I thing I have scale I see the things you have accomplished and cry a lil inside..... 😂 Well done, may I ever live vicariously through your amazing works.
Kibz, if you change up the power shard distribution to be just 1 per machine, it may cost an additional power shard but the pipe balancing wouldn't be an issue. With how easy it is to wind up with a couple thousand shards thanks to loops, I'm inclined to go that route.
Love the idea of using more tubes! As useful as they are i was never a fan of launcher tubes cus of how ridiculous they look! Always loved properly using tubes around the base, specially since the speed cap is pretty much infinite
@@LordWaterBottleno no no, he's going to fully de-capsaicin the spice before he starts cooking this time. It's not gonna be like every other time he's ever touched the hot rocks.😅

I think you will have to use both train outputs, because of the loading/unloading animation. Just place a big bin next to the station and let 2 belts go in and 1 belt go out. After that it will work 100% of the time
If I build 100% efficiency factories, I dont build the outputs until the end and let all the machines fill up so I dont have to wait as long for the spin up
btw the max amount of aluminum pr minute is ca 16,400, thats with some alternative recipice, and i have made it, the only downside is that it uses almost all quartz on the map
Wait I'm confused. I thought the reason for connecting a storage bin to trains is because belts don't flow in or out of the train-station when its loading and unloading a train, so to catch up for that lag in time you have the bins connect to both ports of the station and then just have one belt out of the storage. If you just have a single belt in and out (or two in and out like you do in your other video at the mine) then the storage just empties at the same rate it fills and doesn't do anything. Am I missing something?
@ImKibitz 38:25 Thats why im always pretending to use floor holes,so build the pipe and then add the floor hole afterwards so it looks good and doesnt remove the head lift
you can use polymer resin from petrolium coke production to make some rubber for heat exchanger alternate recipe which is way better than heat sink recipe since it uses less aluminium and dosn't need copper, leaving more for pasta
Might as well have the resin turned into Plastic and Rubber with the Residual recipes, all it takes is the resin and water which you could use the water use saved from alumina production.
The issue with floor holes is there are 3 snapping points. 2 near the floor on each side and one in the middle. Make sure you snap to the middle from both sides.
Mr Kibz, I think you need to fix your buffers! As I understand, you need to do two belts out of the train station into a storage bin and then 1 belt out. Otherwise if you're consuming 100% of the belt you aren't buffering anything!
if you want some more tickets. can easily send those ingots into constructors to make casings 90 ingots = 11790/min. 60 casing (using 90 ingots) = 23580 a min. :)
And now we have to wonder if the new Quartz Purification recipes will tempt him to rebuild all the smelters as foundries, but Nitrogen is kind of rare...
6:07 Oh my god... I just realized that 2 hours of troubleshooting conveyors in my factory was pointless. I was absolutely sure that mk5 transfer rate was 720p/mip and I was wondering why are there gaps from 720 screws input....
I really think you're at the point where you would best off setting up a temporary setup to unlock the tier 6 belts. It will save you lots of headaches in the long run.
The reason your hyper tube hub was putting you into another route was because u didn't have a hyper tube entrance on the way back to the room. @ 22:33 you are looking at the cannon that launches you and there is only an entrance on the way out of the room but no entrance on the tube to reenter the room.
