How To Teach The Base Position For Beginners

There's a couple different analogies I've heard out there for the water polo goalie base position. They're all helpful as long as they work. Here's what I use to help educate new beginner goalies. I also like this analogy because it usually matches up with beginner's ages. Youth athletes can very easily imagine a school desk, as well as younger students desks, so it usually helps match the education. I also am MUCH more enthusiastic and engaging with the younger athletes in person as I'm teaching this compared to how I am in this video. Have fun with it! Your athletes will appreciate it.
