Nice video, crazy to think it's been 20 years! A few extra points about special challenges since some of them are *very* poorly described in game. Shibuya: Land closer to the center of the platforms to get it to detect. The large ramp platform is especially hard to do this. Try jumping twice on some of the platforms to be extra sure. Chuo: To get this challenge, you must be on the first rail (the one briefly shown at 6:21) for at least one second and then land somewhere around the ending area. You can start slow then boost to make sure you get that, Hikage: The requirements are to grind the top rail for 2 seconds and then land somewhere near the bottom of the stairs - how you get there does not matter. Skyscraper District: You can also grind stall on the rock pillars (that you get points on) for 30 seconds to unlock that special. Highway Zero: In a similar way to Chuo, you must wallride the first board for at least 0.1 seconds. We have a ton of information at jsrfspeedruns.com (thanks for mentioning us FalseProof!) if you want to learn *way* too much about this game.
this is truly a godsend for the jsrf community. I do recommend watching 10+ year old videos showing/explaining how to unlock stuff, it's fun in an interesting way!
Done ! I've 100% JSR HD (including all 30 achievements) and now JSRF. Your video is really well put down and pleasant to watch. Now I'm ready for Bomb Rush Cyberfunk ! 3 weeks left !!
I've been watching videos of this "BombRush" game, and it's really been making me want to play this game. I unlocked all the characters already...but, maybe it's about time to do it again.
learning that each level has at least 1 rail that gives you 500 points instead of 50 changed my life. when i played this game as a kid on the original xbox i would try to get all those points on 50 point rails because i thought all rails gave the same score
My mans making vids about JSRF still..........You're doing gods work. My youtube premium better give you some good monies from me binging your jsrf content
14:10 Actually I found a much easier way to get the 100 trick combo. Just keep grinding up the giant rail but before you get to the top, just slow down and begin to fall down, and then start doing tricks to build up momentum again. Keep doing this until you get the graffiti soul to spawn.
JSRF actually has quite a few similarities to dark souls. The graffiti check points (bonfires), the world design and how every area has a different skybox, and the garage (firelink shrine).
I always did the 100 tricks challgenge in the residence zone on the rails around the outside edge of the lowest part of the level, there's a staircase rail that goes to a ladder on each side, just flip off before reaching the top and you'll reverse on the bottom rail and on the other side go up the other ladder, repeat
We finally beat the 13 platforms years after we was really playing the game like that anymore so we didn't get to enjoy 0-beat the way we would have when we was younger. Y could it be another character like Goji or yo-yo.
Thank you! For the Baby-T instrumental I actually ran the original song through an AI program (lalal.ai) because I wanted to use the song but knew that even with EQ the vocals can definitely interfere with speaking voices at that frequency, so I separated them and used just the instrumental. It’s not perfect obviously but it worked for this video and what I needed to do. A weird thing was that the vocals are actually panned around during the main hook (Baby it’s your baby Teeeeeeee) and the AI didn’t catch it, so you can kinda hear the vocalist say the “TEEEEEEE” in some parts of the backing track. Hope that answered your question!
@@FalseProof Haha, yes I heard the "TEEEEE", so I thought it was a karaoke version or something like that. Thanks for the reply ! Keep up the great work ! Signed : A long time viewer who don't talk too much on this channel.
You don’t want to know how annoying some of the challenges were, lol. Hopefully the updates guide and Test Runs gameplay/play through footage (uploading ASAP) will help make some of the experience easier
There's a much easier infinite loop in the same area near the graffiti soul. Enter and go to the right past the stairs and it's the rails that go around the pole.
Another good way to do it is by grind stalling up the rail to the top of the map. When you get near the top, let yourself slide back to the bottom and start climbing again. Just be careful not to start again too late or you'll slide off at the bottom.
I've been asked a few times and I like to give the same answer each time: I'm cautiously optimistic. It looks really good, and I do like Lethal League/Lethal League Blaze, but I've been burned by fan games/spiritual successors not living up to expectations, so I'm going into it with reasonable expectations. Hope that answers your question :)
@@FalseProof the fact that the game is a spiritual successor to jsrf and that content by yourself is being dropped in 2022 by all means this game is probably gonna be gold to all of the fans of the first 2 games and yes that did answer my question I look forward to some more jsr/jsrf and brcf content from you bruh keep it up!!
SOS in the fortified residential zone how do you get to the tape once you’ve ridden up the massive rail to the top level? I have spent HOURS looking for the tube to drop down through the tube and it’s taunting me that I can see the tape through a fence on a level below.
Once you beat the helicopters during the story in FRZ, the game adds the giant rail so you can get back up to that area (which you know I’m just writing in case someone else needs help with the same thing). You’ll see this small area that goes into the wall with a tube hole. You’ll want to drop down each tube, and you’ll get the tape. I think there’s like 3 of them you have to jump into? Hope that helps!
Can you double check the Graffiti menu in the Garage to make sure you have these Souls: #9, #37, #64, #65, #95, #96, #122. Also when you’re in the map, are there still any large orange dots on screen?
@@yui4779 I’m assuming you’ve beaten the game too? Are all the Souls in the game collected? do you have Discord? You could join the server and post screenshots, that might be helpful so we can figure out the exact problem. It’s up to you though
