Thank you for joining us on this crazy journey! Our family- Kate and Marius plus our five kids, have always enjoyed living a homemade life whenever possible. Moving 1000 miles north in 2017 to Northern BC, Canada upped our game even more. We live on a 34 acre homestead and get a kick out of things like raising our own meat, dairy and vegetables. Theres plenty of failures, you’ll be sure to see those here too. We’re a homeschooling family who believes life is the best teacher but we do hit the books in winter. I’m so glad you’re here, I hope you stick around!

I once tried just planting a large potato eye to see if it would produce and low and behold it did....wasn't as large a plant as the other potato plants but it did give me 4 good sized potatoes at harvest!!! I was very impressed.

If your cow has puncture wounds that you aren’t sure how they got there but she’s acting skittish around the goats….I think it’s the goats not another horned cow. Goats can be brats when you aren’t looking & will def use their horns to try to get them

Is it not warm enough there for flies? I don’t see a ton of flies. The flies are making it very hard to milk for me right now. Biting me and my cow. I have all kinds of preventatives up, but it is still terrible.
