To this day, I STILL will NOT leave my home when it begins to get dark, So, I can somewhat understand. Regardless of the manner of Death, you cannot get over it. Allen Blackthorne died in prison in 2014. He had to be moved from Texas to Alabama shortly after he was imprisoned because another inmate stabbed him multiple times with a screwdriver. He lived on after that, and I like to think that it made him forever keep looking over his shoulder and sleep with one eye open.
I like to think that Sheila would have been happy about that.

The sad & ironic thing is, Ann Rule's Life ended very, VERY sadly. Two of her children had embezzled HUGE amounts of money from her. Of her four children, ONLY one was mentioned in her Will.

Those poor 6 children, particularly the older half siblings who were old enough to take it all in and to know their own father did it. In the UK you cannot take children too far away from the other parent on a divorce without consent of the court and good reason. That one Jury lady who had doubts about his guilt really irritated me because it was plain as day

@@prettyhot1 I find her so weird. How on earth could she, a woman, sit there with a smirk talking about she "didn't think she was meant to die." How? HOW??

I read that all six children continued to live with their stepfather, and that Stevie went on to college and had a daughter of her own… I hope that she has a successful and happy life

I remember this story when it happened. Ann Rule had written a more intimate story including the court case which she had attended. The trial was riveting. This book was the best true crime book I've read. Ann Rule, Rules.!!

The ex-husband obviously rehearsed his denial responses in the mirror. He had those down pat and when he was finished, you could see the performance was over. Such a liar. He paid to have his ex-wife killed, no doubt in my mind. 100% guilty.

Praying for all of Sheila’s loved ones, but especially Jaime, her sons, and her daughters.
That has to scar a child ( even someone 13) to find your mom brutalized like that.

13 year old Stevie is now 39, three years older than the age at which her mother was killed, and the quads are 27.

Absolutely horrible. Yes their is justice but it won’t bring back the Moms baby, sister and the babies will never know their mother. Unbelievably strong Dad!

Am just now reading Ann Rule's book of this same story. The book is sad but very well written and now I can put the faces to the names in the book.

Seems most of the serial killers depicted had to develop personalities that could attract their prey (Ted Bundy? Etc.)
The "Original" Forty Eight Hours offers a beautifully arranged CELO introduction. THIS IS A POOR COPY.
WILL THERE (EVER) BE JUSTICE FOR THE INTERNET VIEWERS ?
NOPE; THIS IS ANOTHER HIJACKED VIDEO CLIPS FROM THE ORIGINAL FORTY EIGHT HOURS MOST EXCELLENT SHOW!

It’s not everyday you see the cold, dead eyes of a guy like Allan Blackthorne. I hate to judge a book by its cover; but that guy radiated evil. It’s like you could see the accumulative affect of the seven deadly sins on his face.
