- Vigilante 4x4 is another company taking old vehicles, retaining all of the classic design elements yet customizing and standardizing to produce multiple vehicles per year. I love how they give you the option for engine choices...392 Hemi, Hellcat or Hellephant! This thing sounds and drives like a modern vehicle yet looks like a stock Jeep with a bigger wheel/tire set up and they've nailed it so sit back and enjoy the ride...

I might go so far to say this might be one of my favorite builds on the channel. Truly the best of old and new. Absolutely nailed it. Would love to see their take on the Blazer and Bronco.
K-5
Surprisingly I think I agree.
I love it too. its nice to see something thats not an LS. Im sick of seeing anything cool, but its another LS. I love the idea of keeping heritage with an engine from the same company/family. its what makes cars more than just a body on a frame.
@@nathaniel1207 exactly that our philosophy
Agreed!!!
Now *this* is how you restomod! Spot on
Nailed it on every point
I admire the patience, composure and strength of this man in relation to the repair of the car as well.
Thanks 😉
I had an 82 Cherokee Chief with a stroked 360 bored .30 with ported and polished 401 heads with oversized valves, Headman headers, Dual Plane Edelbrock Intake with a 750 Holly, Quadtrac, with 4.10 gears, and 33x15 Dick Cepek Fun Country.
I love this build, thanks for sharing.
Jonathan Ward is drooling over this
That has got to be one of the sweetest Jeep Cherokee’s I’ve ever seen. Prop’s to the builder!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's such an awesome build. He seems to be a builder with integrity who's staying true to himself. They are such an inspiration.
Thank you
The wing vent windows add a great deal of nostalgia that should be mentioned.
I think this body style Jeep is the best looking one.
Now that’s cool ! I love how he had such attention to detail into the build.
Another video where you knock it out of the park! What Vigilante does with Jeeps embodies the spirit and essence of what I want to do with my General Lee as a restomod! Retain as much originality and look of the original design but with modern functionality!
That a hard job, because is easy to use commercial component instead keep the original one
@@vigilante4x4 agreed! But totally worth it! Your work is evidence of that!
Now I want one. Darn it, Shawn!
Well now if I win the lottery I know what family car I want 😅. Love how obsessive this guy is with his product. I can tell he loves what he does.
Truly obsessed with making the best Jeeps possible
Man thats one beautiful Old school FSJ Jeep Cherokee man and that 392 Hemi V8 sure is a beast.
This is so perfect. Moves above icon on my lotto dream buys 😅
The wheels.... bro the wheels!!!!! Oh gawddawum I want a set now!!!!! I got a "Dajiban" that those are gonna get! *looking for all the pennies*
PS - Totally amazing build! Very thoughful in seemingly all aspects.
Absolutely love seeing people working on stuff like this!
This guy is the real deal, intense passion in his art!!!
Very very nice Jeep! The impeccable eye for detail makes this probably one of the best examples around.
I had a 1963 I used as a hunting wagon. Best vehicle I ever had.
Very nice. Perfect build. Not ridiculously modified. Originality kept intact. Perfect off-road vehicle for everyone. ❤🤑🤑👍
Yes, great that you see theses details, our door hand no come from "summit" 😂
Excellent craftsmanship.
This is where it’s at. Their respect for the the brand and it’s legacy deserves a ton of respect for sure. Quality work here and it shows and you pay for it.
Vigilante nailed it, hands down.
It’s funny. Vigilante makes some videos but nothing this in-depth. Very cool 😎
Could you imagine the Prefix Viper engine with the Cherokee wide-track version on that orange-red with black trim...OMG!
We not imagine we work on a project with the prefix, soon more info
Great variety of vehicles lately Sean - keep it up. That's a cool Jeep Cherokee
Very clever that ..great company by the sounds of it ..modern day old school …keep safe guys
Love at 1st sight!!!
I be waiting tue Friday for the vids 5pm
Hoedje af voor Daniël- perfecte aanpak voor die prachtige Cherokees.
That was amazing. Great focus driven material, and honest/real fucking builders.
Nothing but respect for what your doing. Love that your going new age heart with a modern body. Very nice to you both.
Gorgeous vehicle. One of the best on here so far
I'm down with the other comments on you providing a great group of vehicles as of late. Appreciate you Homie....
Loving these kind of builds so much lately. Please do more!!
Well done vigilante, well thought out. I'd love to have one some day!
I would too! So well done
@@AutotopiaLAHey bro side note. Ed Pink is doing his last engine. Are you going to interview him. It would be cool if Strope was involved in it. It's going to be a cammer!
Incredible care into these dream builds
The best showcase build yet. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice Jeep.
Absolutely beautiful build. But 300 grand?!!!!
Awesome shawn. .... Looks so cool 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤩🤩
Restored to the future, I love it.
Bro that's a master piece.....💪
I love old cars with new tech, great job.
Boom!
When I was a kid my neighbour had an original Jeep Wagoneer which they used as their 'go to the lake' vehicle every weekend. They had to offroad the last hour or so through forestry roads and sometimes no roads to get to the lake. That old Jeep ha dings and scratches all down the side of it. But it always got them to the lake and back every weekend. I had the opportunioty to go with them numerous times and it was a blast every time. The Vigilante is an incredible rendition of really great vehicle, just improved where the original needed it. Be safe and stay well.
You should have Tom Scarpello on your show from Revology Cars, and have him bring a 67' Shelby GT500.
Beautifully built truck, kudo's to the builder...🖤😎
They’re doing it right
I love this!! Vigilante has my vote for the most wanted type of builder. I want one…but will have to save up funds in my toy account!! I wish these guys the very best in their future. We need more builders with the priorities that were put into this build. Straight out AWESOME Jeep!
Much love and support from Boston ❤ 🙏🏻
I'm in awe...dreams do come true! Little pricey, but, Wow. I think about this often and to see someone implement and come up with a solution to modernizing the old without destroying the spirit of the Jeep is amazing!
Truly epic! love classic Cherokees. Thanks for sharing!
Would like to see this guy hookup with Dennis Collins and maybe even do a Coffee walk.
Awesome!
Nice jeep 👍👍
It better be for $300,000
Extra power for this beautiful classic!👏👏👏💙
Great builds! These Jeeps are another level!
thanks
This is a very good-looking rig.
Super cool! That’s way too much money
Great job mixing it up. Great job guys.
As a Brussels born kid, American now, I congratulate you for the engineering you do
Keep the V8s and Viper V10 going
Very nice build! Keep featuring all kinds of rides!
Great vehicle. Those wheels are awesome and a great touch.
Such a cool concept to keep the look but different dimensions
So damn cool. Will be doing business with them soon!!
STAY FROSTY
DTIAFG!!!
I dig it. Very nostalgic. Great build.
This has to be the nicest Wagoneer in the US.
Amazing job on that Jeep, brave Vigilante
Good video! The Vigilante fellow is really proud of what he's designing......and, he should be!
Great build 👏
My best bud in high school had his dad's old 1976 Jeep P/U when I had my 77 Chevy Step-side.....both were black, and this just reminds me of his Jeep. This is such an awesome build, master class, well done!
Bro this guy built that right.
I was trying to remember weren't these Jeeps originally still under the AMC badge.
I like it .tim in new mexico
Really great vehicles !! I need one in my life, just perfect! Thank you guys.
Starts at $295k WOW!
Most go with the LS if they do swaps! Going with a Hemispherical… I like it 😎 little different 👍🏻
Real nice
Fricken awesome! I love it!
everyone needs one of those sooo cool i want the truck one
WOW ! AWESOME BUILD 👍👍
I LOVE THIS TRUCK, I WANT ONE!!!
Me too!
Arizona Jeep farm is worth a look if your into the J 10, Cherokees, etc, etc.
No doubt, an incredible build...from the frame remanufacturing to all the details- $300k "starting price"... Ouch. The same clientele of those buying ICON vehicles...You can see them valeted at your local Ritz-Carlton or crusing the streets of Abu Dhabi...
Exactly how I feel. I was loving the build, until I heard 300K. This is not for the average income consumer. This gentleman, could save half to two thirds of the price, if he recycled out or out source parts from different vendors. All that custom retooling gauges and stuff, drives up the cost tremendously. But to each his own. Love the exterior body, but huge cost savings on everything else.
Whoa, they got one leg shorter than the other from standing in the side of a hill all day
🔥 🔥
This build quality is up there with what MST is doing in the UK with Mk1 and Mk2 Escorts. Absolutely stunning!
I say its beyond MST...which by the way I want one!!!!!!!. that remains a very decent price too
Hmmm, G Wagon or this? I'll take the crazy cool Cherokee.
Beautiful, and fully functional, I love it, unfortunately for me I'm not a wealthy man, so this is as close to that jeep I'll ever be.
Can you build one to tow a new Airstream like the old ones could. That would be amazing.
Probably whatever you can afford they can build for ya lol
Wow something with under 1000 horsepower on autotopia. I can relate to this build. The other cars seem fun but this one a person could actually use as a daily driver.
I wish my daily driver was $300K+ That would make my other vehicle really special.
@@ljsites yeah who can afford these builds?! I guess I’ll be happy with my 1969 VW bus that I got for free and have been resto modding for the last 18 years. 😆
@@ljsites oh with my engine off of Craigslist that has lasted the entire time 😆
@@SanDiego_VDubLife my heart is with your VW!
Another great vehicle Sean nice 👍
Shawn has always appeared tall to me until now while standing next to a Nederlander. 🙂
Thx, i had a 76 in that Paint Job in the 80's, loved it. Good memories and what a brilliant resto and improvement. Yeah, the AC was actually a dealer installed option and it was barely AC even in Canada.. I got one from a wrecked and installed in mine. I also changed the seats out for a Caddy's seats from the wreckers yard.. LOL
I really love your channel, I am going through all the videos, only will be sad when I watch them all, will have to watch them twice!
Thanks a lot! Lots of videos for you here. You’re gonna crack up when you get to the earlier ones lol! Glad you like what we do here
WOW ... Beautiful work . Thanks 😊😊❤❤❤❤❤ my
😊😊😊
Love it !!! My Grandpa bought one new in 1977 (Cherokee Chief) that was burgundy ; love those models ! I own a 1990 Cherokee at the moment that i like very much.
I love the window crank handles that control the power windows. I envision some idiot that thinks it's still manual. They go to roll the window down and break the handle...lol.
That’s gorgeous. It’s cool to see someone doing something similar to Icon with a different vehicle. It would be cool if you could shoot some of the Dennis Collins builds at Collins Brothers and Black Mountain Jeep
I have to say they’ve inspired me. I’ve had these ideas in my head for years with classic Dodges. I’ve had a magnum 360/nv4500/Dana300 in my 79 Ramcharger since 2008. A Hemi/TR-6060 or T-56 and an Atlas is brilliant. No idea why I hadn’t thought of it. Thanks for the inspiration!
Hey Shawn, awesome build. 392 is enough for that type of Jeep. Gas is not cheap. How’s the sound proofing, I like my car super quiet. Great Videos Thank You 🙏
