This one was just on time to be part of our morning meeting today. Thanks a lot for sharing such a valuable concept to start a new week.

Thank you Ryan and the Team. A great podcast on a simple idea, that is hard to implement. It just works. We do it every day in our 2 person business. I so works. Cheers

Ryan, excellent information. I use the Just Doi it simialr to Stop & Fix. The question I have is, how do you determine the Assigened to? IS where I struggle. Thanks

This will be a case by case basis, all problems have very different solutions, the best person / team will be assigned to work with the people on the process

I love quotes told by Ryan - go slow for go fast 👍.

Crowd sourced improvement: When you stopped production to fix the camera, the problem wasn't solved forever. Matt needs a marker so he knows when he is in camera. To prevent interrupting the flow of the conversation, the producer could give a signal so Matt can correct his positioning.

Does Matt need a screen facing him to see himself in the camera so he can adjust in real time? Poka yoke it

Idea cards are great! Fixing internal items is relatively easy. Fixing supplier issues is harder. How do you handle that?

Good point, this is harder, effective communication and inviting our suppliers to our facility to understand our continuous improvement culture has helped.

Thank you so much for the link to the improvement card. This truly could be an American thing, but we spell Authorised, as Authorized. Your card utilizes a "S" instead of a "Z". Please disregard if we spell it different, or it would the highest accolade for me to actually find something misspelled. (haha) Keep up the great videos, I watch everyone and implement so much of what I learn from you!

I would like to know specifics about what happens when Sir Patty the Indefatigable falls ill unexpectedly. Who steps into his role that day? How much pre-training do they have, does the line stop or slow, etc. I have seen a low of resentment start to build around good-quality coverage or the lack thereof. I know your team will have good ideas on this. TY

Thanks for watching, we have a production Training Matrix, this helps us to identify any areas that we have very few people trained, we will always have more than one person trained in any one area.
