Watch Part 2: ua-cam.com/video/H5HSsDhkbjQ/v-deo.html Do you think you can apply Kaizen principles to your business? What examples of Kaizen methods in action do you see in the business world? Let’s talk about it in the comments!
I implemented this 2 years ago. Mi company is now a reference worldwide, and everyone wants to be a part of the team. We went from 4 to 31 furniture made A DAY, with less effort and in a happy enviroment. Thanks Paul Akers, you changed our lives!!
Sir, I had searched for ''KAIZEN'' on google because I had to give a speech in my class on that...but the event got cancelled. I felt sad because I prepared for that good. After a few days I watched your video and I got more clear. The event got cancelled so that I could watch your video to get clear understanding... Thank you. 💐
I am just about to attend an introduction to Lean on February 10th. This has me so excited to learn and implement Lean to the company that I have worked in for 25 years 🖖👍
As a new business owner looking to hire people at some point, I will personally be following the Kaizen method and training my future employees to do the same.
Kaizen has always been continuous improvement even if it is small, so he didn’t modify the process he is simply using Kaizen the way it is intended. Also, he is using 5S methodology as well.
Great info to implement. Just for informational purposes, the symbols for Zen (good) and Zen (meditation) are not the same symbol, and they have different meanings. But of course this is not a video on linguistics. Keep up the good work.
Sounds good. But one thing instantly comes to my mind is, how you make people actually work instead of making small adjustments all the time? ”Improving-mindset” should be reasonable because people are different on assessing, which needs to be improved. Some people to spend relatively huge amount of time on something that is a minor problem.
I am wondering, what does Paul Akers do when he is down on the floor? How does he interact with his people? I was very impressed with how he knew many of the improvements that had been made.

Paul is a legend. How would you recommend implementing 3S/morning meetings for a warehouse team of 3 people who basically polybag, bubblewrap & tape products?
Everyone has to realize that 3S and morning meetings are meant to make their lives easier, not to increase profits. Once you understand that lean is fun and easy, it will spread naturally and folks will buy in.
Great video. But Paul is not considered the father of Lean. He's a Lean practicionist. Lean has been used in manufacturing since Toyota invented it, and all billion dollar manufacturing/construction companies have been implementing it since the early 2000s
I have seen Kaizen and 5S ruin many a business, it works for some but it cripples most. I worked for an oil company that went bust due to investing crazy amounts in LEAN principles. They believed that the money invested in LEAN would quickly be recouped................used to drive me insane...........needless to say they soon went into administration.
I don’t think 1 millisecond is a significant waste. The amount of time to “stop” and 5s or “Kaizen” something for a couple of seconds waste seems, in of itself, wasteful. It also creates a stressful work environment that your being hounded each day for things like that 😅
Owner of the business is really full of himself, hard to make it through the whole vid because of that. Content great because it Kaizen but that guy I couldn’t work for
Whoever your cameraman is, you need to get him into some basic video production classes. White balance off, focus is off, saturation is way out of this planet. Awesome content, you are a great host, but poor execution. I would recommend a GH5, its not expensive but has great image quality. And most of all, sennheiser EW100G3 mics.
Phooey. Wasting time on insignificant tweaks doesn't make more money, but it may tickle your artsy-fartsy ego. Become highly successful over editing simple videos and start selling your books.
Id like to hear from the employees what they think when the boss is not around. The company I work for has been implementing 5s for about 5 years and we all want to kill ourselves.
I've watched these lean practices ruin the company I work for over the last 4 years and I just had to look up a video and see if anyone else had bad experiences with it! In our case the company hired some kind of a supposed "kaizen guru" with high hopes and he basically took the company for a ride for 2 years. His title was Ops Manager but he literally hid in his office or slept in his car 95% of the time. It destroyed the company. He got fired finally but now I think it's too far gone. Really sad to watch...

Funny thing about this company, and the video. I have NO CLUE about what they do. Went to the homepage, and I still have no clue.

What a wonderful story! Well done Pablo, and congratulations

That’s awesome Tom! I’m sure lean will change your life in so many ways.
As a new business owner looking to hire people at some point, I will personally be following the Kaizen method and training my future employees to do the same.
Im sure your business will grow very well!
Akers is the best in the biz, hands down.
Kaizen is simple. It's all about efficiency and organization. Organize and optimize your work area for maximum productivity.
Kaizen has always been continuous improvement even if it is small, so he didn’t modify the process he is simply using Kaizen the way it is intended. Also, he is using 5S methodology as well.
LOve it. I hope in later videos you have recorded an entire morning meeting. I get it, but seeing it executed would be gravy.
I am Japanese, I love your video.
Thank you!
Keep the guy coming back!
Master Jedi at it again. Loved this video!
He sure is! We're so glad you enjoyed it. Thank you so much.
Great to see Paul again in your videos! Top video!
We hope to film more videos with him!
They Gemba walks a great practice to know the process and improve it.
Great info to implement. Just for informational purposes, the symbols for Zen (good) and Zen (meditation) are not the same symbol, and they have different meanings. But of course this is not a video on linguistics. Keep up the good work.
Bro! I love these Paul Akers videos!
Thats why we keep producing them ;)

Loving that at around 6mins 10seconds a lady in the background literally carries a box for a long-distance and for a long period of time. Editor? ;)
Wow. Further to my original comment- there is a LOT of carrying and repetitive movements going on in the background.
11mins 18secs in. Just highlighting the damaged and exposed cables on the drill.
Got a good eye!
It's a glue gun. Maybe they are testing the audience :)
and is dripping hot glue everywhere ,
Great content!
Thanks a lot!
I really like these two parts of videos regarding of lean. I'd like to share with my colleagues and friends.
Please do Victor! Lots of amazing business learning lessons within those videos.
Thank you Guruji
tremendous value
Thanks great video
Thanks for watching! We'll keep the good stuff coming your way! 🔥
I love yuries shirt!!
Hey guys,
awesome video - thank you! We´re wondering what your agenda during the daily morning meeting is?
Thank you for share from Turkey.
Thank you too
I am wondering, what does Paul Akers do when he is down on the floor? How does he interact with his people? I was very impressed with how he knew many of the improvements that had been made.
I think he listens intently and tries to relate on an equal playing field.
Man I wish the company I worked for implemented this correctly. Drives me nuts
Hey Jared! Thanks for watching. What is it that your employer does wrong?

Yes, back in 1986 when I worked for The Guitar Center in Oakland, CA. @@UpFlip

@@alexkern9134 yes that's the reason i'd like to start with my small company, to build that culture
@@UpFlip audio yes. Great book really spells it ouT. And his side notes are great
Just remember that you aren't married to lean. You can always revert back. If there are improvement ideas that don't work, just move on.
Love this concept, but it definitely reaffirms my notion that I am completely UN-employable... haha.

Great video. Get some 60fps up in here though.
We’ll be getting some new equipment soon so the video quality will be a lot better 👌

There is a difference between Kaizen and Quick-Wins” in a factory.
💪🏽
Genial, sencillo y práctico

Nice vid
Thank you!
Yes, complexity is punished
The wipeboard pens should be below the wipeboard, they are taking up wipeboard space and will be easily knocked off.
Trader Joe's has been doing this for years 👍
Does the company of Paul Kers have a value stream? I see a video full of waste, everywhere...
@@Carhug2012 show the making of the product, the value delivery, it looks like a warehouse full of inventory

Glad you enjoyed!
ok this all improvement design is for continous production, but what about with an intermitent production with no micromovements?

"we trained jonny to think this way" "he came hear not thinking right we changed him to think this way" how horrible
Sounds like you lack the ability to develop and coach people
What does this guy actually do? Looks like he has a warehouse of empty pallets.
LEAN is B.S
Try it and you will soon realize, you have wasted time and money on a worthless idea

Kaizen? He has a dirty, distracting dog on his desk right off the bat. That would NEVER fly in Japan. What a joke.
Great video!
Thanks Luis!
