Julia was so delightful in her golden years. Honest, discerning and knew exactly what she liked and didnt shy from making it known.

They have different ideas about cooking. They work together. They disagree. They laugh. We should all be like Julia & Jacques. 😊❤

Julia’s soufflé game was impeccable, not even Jacques could challenge the master 😂

Julia Child was not a Master of soufflés, nor did she ever earn a Michelin star. She might have been a television cooking personality, true. However, Jacques Pépin was an internationally acclaimed, Master Chef with 3, that's 3, Michelin stars. The cookery of French cuisine is NOT basketball. Ms. Child started her training with top French chefs. Mr. Pépin started his training with a provincial bistro cook, his Mother, who was French. For authenticity and method in French cuisine, I trust Chef Pépin much more than I trust Ms. Child.

You typed all of that nonsense out and was wrong about all of it. Of course Julia wasn’t as technical as Jacque, but she could hold her own. Was a huge age difference in them at this time too. Jacque never had Michelin stars, and if you’ve read any of his books, always hated that system. And lastly, your childish name clashes with everything Jacque stands for. Look up where he lives, and what his foundation does. He’s a big time Democrat.

I believe that "orange" cheese is English Red Leicester.

It’s like watching a genetically resilient older sister and precious younger brother, raised by abusive and demanding parents, cook together. Iconic.

This looks delicious. I have done Jacques soufflé the way his mother taught him. It is absolutely delicious and so easy. Thoroughly enjoyed this video!😋

She hated that English Cheddar. 😂 She mentions Dione Lucas, a legend and possible influence to Julia.

The cheese looks like red Leicester, cheddar is never typically dyed especially not if it is authentic cave matured cheddar actually from cheddar or nearby.

I think the roulade needs chilling immediately, because it really was collapsing fast. I'm sure it was delicious with all that cream. I wonder if whole eggs would have made it stronger.

When it comes to French cuisine, and as much as I appreciate Ms Child, I would go with what Chef Pépin says when they disagree. Julia is great, but she was taught by French Chefs. Of course, much of their disagreement on this series is scripted and as I have read, they were great friends and colleagues.

Nobody scripted Julia's mind. She was set in her ways, as much as any cook/chef and thats completely normal.
