Jumbo still impresses after 50+yrs flying, no other plane has lived that long in design with the odd tweak & still feels bigger than the A380. Magnifique.

4:46 Did anyone else notice the thrust reverser on engine 2 not being deployed?
Some people did, very good observation 👍
Hydraulic oil leak in the reverse system. It has been blocked by maintenance. I was on that flight in first class and complained about the plane pulling to the left on landing.
Actually the pilots being from the Philippines were still learning, and were not yet allowed to use reverse thrust in both engines at the same time.

this is the quality i need. I do my planespotting with a 7 year old camcorder... if you can say the camera and legs and tripod you are using that would be great. if you can't, that is ok too
Hello, it's been a long way to get to this point after testing many cameras and tripods, this video in specific I used a sachtler tripod with a ace M fluidhead and I used the Sony A7M4.

Fun to watch the different techniques in landing. Now, they should ALL be the same (as per manual) but alas, this is a human endeavor. And that PA 777 needs maintenance check!

The right engine of the Fhilippine Airline Boeng 777-3f6(er) didn´t open to help breaking the airplane
That is correct, good observation.
The reverser it’s not working so maintaining personnel block that reverse and inform crew about that situation, so the crew have to calculate the braking distance without that reverse

Em 2007 aqui no Brasil era tempo chuvoso frio é um avião da empresa latam vindo de Porto Alegre para Congonhas quando ao tocar o solo o avião não abriu um reversor e outro motor não estava em haidow então ele saiu da pista e mergulhou invadindo o depósito da mesma empresa dou outro lada da avenida e colidiu ceifando vidas

Grew up with start of the 747 eara just missed the 707 start but the 747 wat a long run of production these grand gals had sadly they have 🛑 stopped but I have flown on meney of them now retirement has com just lik the 747 I'm Shure they will out live have a great day to all guys and girls in you tube land and the stars 🤩🤩 of only heavy to stay safe ❤❤❤

No clear information but it seems like it was disabled on purpose due to malfunction or maintenance and that is why it did not deploy. Cheers!

At around time 4:48, a 777 lands using reverse thrust only on the number 1 engine. Why would that be? I didn't even know pilots could select reverse thrust on engines independently.
It seems that the engine 2 reverser was disabled due to maintenance so it did not deploy. Cheers!

You are absolutely right, very good observation.
I think the times you have on some of these flight are not accurate. It takes 8 hours from the Midwest to Europe, it would certainly take 3-4 hours longer to/from Vancouver.

Vancouver is slightly closer than Dallas-Fort Worth, and only 1,5hrs farther than Detroit
Hello Steve, not necessarily, for example flying from Toronto to Istanbul takes average 9hours and 30minutes and flying from Vancouver to Istanbul takes average 11 hours, so only 1.5hours longer even though it takes 4 hours to fly from Vancouver to Toronto. All times are taken from flightradar24.

Vendo esse vídeo tem um avião que pousa abrindo só um reversor outro reversor estava inoperante. Foi esse motivo que em 2007 deu aquela fatalidade em Congonhas com avião da TAM vindo de Porto Alegre. Embora tenha protocola que permite o avião voar assim

I just cant seem to understand the allure of watching these videos. They are all just bog standard passenger jets and really they all look the same doing the same takeoff and landing. My office overlooks our airports main runway and nobody even looks up for these things. When the fighter jets and the helicopters come in, those are where its at!
