- In this video we install the Savage Cadillac V3 style vented hood designed to fit the base and VSport model Cadillac CTS (2014-2019). You can't just put a CTS-V hood on your base CTS, it won't fit without the matching fenders and front bumper. This is a direct swap and it comes ready to paint.

That car looks so menacing. Never realized how beautiful it looks with nardo gray.
Awesome video as usual Danial. I wouldn’t short change your install experience either man. Maybe you’ve never changed a hood before but you know your way around a Caddy better than anyone on UA-cam bro. Keep up the great work.
Appreciate it Eric!
Wow! That is a sharp hood! Great job on the steps to install.
Nothing is hard when its done like that.. Thank you Danial, Your videos are inspiring and Savage Cadillac surely have their stuff in the right hands..
This is a really cool look
Great vids 🔥🔥

Hell yeah!!!!🔥
FAQ:
Where does rain go? Well it drains through the vent right into the radiator area. I'm not sure if the CTS tray will fit. Comment below if you know.
What struts should you buy? Not sure yet, comment if you know.
How much does it cost to get painted? Probably at least $500 for factory quality paint.

Great video as always. So how much more does the savage hood weigh over the stock hood?
We did not weight it, but even when two of us were holding it we could feel the difference. I would say about 15 lbs.
@@JetFuelOnly With the total package weight being 55 pounds, this hood is not 15 pounds but closer to 40-50 pounds. OEM hood is 10-15 pounds at most.
Hey I just bought this car model year 2014 and I was wondering if I can upgrade the emblems front and back to the newer style ones? Also can upgrade the grill for a 15 and up?
Yup. You need the 2015+ grill and surround and emblem. Rear you need 2015+ emblem and the 2015-2016 appliqué (chrome piece). Check with Savagecadillac.com for some of these parts blacked out.
@@JetFuelOnly thanks bro I found it there.
Im in California too. I want this hood. But do you know how much it roughly cost to ship the hood?
I don’t recall but at the time I think it was at least $300? You can always call them and ask
Bro I need some help do you happen to know what's the correct size battery for the cts autozone keeps telling me there are 2 different ones that show in there system
Do you have a 2014? If so they made both the second and third Gen CTS in 2014. You are best to always ask for 2015 parts to minimize this issue
Yes its a 2014 ok so tell them its a 2015 not a 2014?

What is that?

Were the hood struts ever found?

Can the hood be outside in the rain ?
Yea it can but I’m not really a fan of it. The engine bay will get dirtier.
I like the hood. But its so pricey. I feel the car looked better with the whole hood black. Definitely didn't like the look of the entire hood gray wrap. Although you kept the vents black, just feels like you should had kept the entire middle of the hood black and only the sides wrapped gray for some contrast.
