I can't tell you how good it feels to have this kind of catch up w/ you Stephanie 💞 would love the jewellery and punchneedling videos in whatever order! And can't wait for your gift guide, they've been my absolute fave for years. 💌
So excited abt the punch needling. I’d love to see how u come up the design and colors u choose! They’re beautiful. although the last thing I need it to pick up ANOTHER craft hobby 😂
I’m really looking forward to some crafting videos! I enjoyed seeing these random projects. That mirror is stunning! Keep being patient and kind to yourself.
Your punch needling work is SO INTENSELY NEAT! I’ve been trying so hard to get better at punch needling but I end up just releasing my life’s frustrations by stabbing the fabric and my loops are TERRIBLE. All of your crafts look amazing! It’s so lovely to see you and hang out with you on this space. ❤️
Your punch needling is so professional-looking it looks like it's been produced and sold at a store. The back is so neat it looks like it was done by a machine. I would never have known it was handmade. Speechless. All the little things you've been up to look so cool. I'm glad you have these projects to enjoy and keep yourself occupied. The beaded necklace looks really fun to do as a chill thing with friends. Looking forward to your future videos!
So happy to see this video and you! Honestly, you definitely inspired my crafts journey with a video you did a long time ago and it's been such an important part of keeping me "sane" too. I can understand and relate to your hardships and heartache and I think you're such a good job in trying to keep yourself happy and whole.
The memory loss is definitely something I can relate to with grief. I had a stillborn last year and was plunged into a world of grief like no other. I think I was trying to gain a sense of control so I quickly started applying to jobs and landed a couple offers. Once I started working though, I noticed that I was just having so much trouble retaining information, articulating myself, and adapting to my new work environment. I was getting lost in the stairwell on a daily basis, and was messing up simple bits of information. It got to the point where I didn't feel like myself at all and I felt like I was drowning in this sense of failure. I left the job for my mental health and have spend a lot of time processing the grief and after months of therapy feel my mental capacities coming back. It's definitely a process coming back to yourself and moving with your grief. Wishing you the best of luck and a gentle journey home
I've lived in a high stress environment for some years now and also have periods where I struggle with my words. I relate to your memory issues too. Sometimes my mind just blanks and I always feel a little embarrassed when it happens in front of others, because it doesn't seemed to have happened to them before. I love this video, Stephanie! I love crafts too and recently took an interest in D&D. Looking forward to your jewelry tutorials! :)))
woah, I have been struggling with my words for quite some time now and also experienced a loss of a very close loved one a little over a year ago now. I couldn’t figure out why it had suddenly started happening! Thank you for sharing these DIY projects - crafting & arts have been helping me heal as well 💓
loved seeing all your crafts and projects! slow and steady with your next uploads, we’ll be here each time 💖 i feel you on the memory and brain fog, for me it helps to try and be actively present when i realize im in that fog otherwise it’s easy to get swept up in the haze for days. all your crafts seem like the perfect art therapy tho, sending warmth your way!
I've also experienced cognitive hardships from stress (in my case from grad school and a bad case of imposter syndrome) Speaking is hard, i feel like i just sound super awkward and like my sentences are not well formed, which is unusual for me. Memory has also taken a hit. Another thing i've noticed is one someone asks me a question, like the name of a band or a restaurant, i can't think of it for the life of me, even though i KNOW it. And sometimes I have really delayed reactions to things, like it takes me a little longer than normal to process things. My mind goes completely blank. I think this is a combination of stress and depression, also ADHD. So yeah these things are temporary, just have to be really patient and compassionate with yourself during hard times
That mirror is sick. I can’t even imagine how much time it took but I’m glad you found some fun and cute crafts to keep you occupied. I’m excited to learn more. :)
Stephanie! You are so cute and sweet 🤍 I feel like this video is such a sweet moment with my child self and adult self xx I see why you’re soothing sista now. I feel so overwhelmed with lub (luv) like I just wanna hug your head ? Lol! 🤍🤍 This video gave me that feeling as a child when you finally visit a new friends house and they have all these cool new things to show you that they do and have and it’s like a whole new world of cool stuff and it just makes you wanna run around and try them all 😅😊
yep, trauma and depression (plus a number of other issues) have definitely limited my ability to remember things - short and long-term. i would love to see more tutorials/details on your project
Can relate to the memory issue - intense prolonged periods of stress, trauma and grief can do that to you. Hard to navigate it the workplace but praise God for helping pull me together. From my understanding it just takes time.
sorry im a long time lurker, but its so cool to see you into d&d too xd! i hope you can get back to playing it again soon cus i die a little inside every week my campaign gets delayed lol your minis are so cute too. (im addicted to the dices and recently learned about custom dice made to look like boba) maybe when you have a campaign going, you could stream for us to watch hehe, so glad youre doing well.
All your crafts look so cute! this is very inspiring to me to start crafting. It's good to see you again ❤I think of you even when you aren't uploading and send out little prayers that you're healing and finding moments of happiness.
D&D is the best! So glad you're enjoying it. I didn't start playing until my thirties, and it's been such an amazing way to spend time with friends that isn't so party focused.
O man I freakin loved everything that you shared in this vid.. It’s all so beautiful pieces, you should be so so proud of what you make. I think it’s awesome that you are trying new things and ways to be creative and I’m learning so much from you. Never stop exploring and create. Sending love ☺️
Thank you for sharing your art! I would love a video on your punch needling projects, that mirror is SO cute. You've inspired me to look into this, I think it'll be such a fun birthday gift for my friends next year
yeeeeh! welcome baaack! also, yes! I have the same mind habits and slowness in speaking you described lately but not dealing so much with grief. Not sure what it is but I've been trying to move my body more in exercise to make my hippocampus nice and fluffy lol as they say. ANYWAYS! Can't wait to see your other videos! Will definitely be rewatching them to pick up new hobbies ^^
So glad to have you back Stephanie! Super excited to see the new jewellery projects you've been working on, your last video got me inspired to make my own necklaces during the pandemic! :)
hey babes just to make sure there’s nothing else going on neurologically, if you’re having any other odd symptoms along with the memory loss I’d go see a doctor to rule out anything serious. Word finding and brain fog were some of the symptoms that led to an MS diagnosis for me, just making sure you’re taking care of yourself 💞 can’t wait to see a punch hooking video!
So happy to see you and Josie and what you've been up to. It doesn't go away, but it does get a little easier as time goes on. Happy to have you back for a video
Looooove your art and loved this video. You are so real; we’re all here for you! Memory loss and not finding words is also very much a symptom of ADHD, as well as trauma - I have both, too ✌🏻. You’ve got this! ❤
All the things you made are gorgeous!! So happy to see that crafting helps you mentally (it’s the same for me) 💘 Btw I have the same problem with not being able to form a proper sentence sometimes and I forget everything. I‘m pretty sure it’s a stress-thing, but it sucks…
That Mountain mirror is everything Stephanie! You are SO INSANELY talented, I would so but one of your works off you! So happy to see you thriving despite everything
とてもかわいい! ⊹⋛⋋( ՞ਊ ՞)⋌⋚⊹ ♡ ♡ ♡- i understand, I have a lot of wips around the house. keeps me sane and make me procrastinate on being the cleaning crew and house keeper
Damn! You are so creative and talented. Loved this video. I'd actually really love to see a D&D painting video soooon. I bought a bunch of little Christmas houses and figurines from the dollar store so I could repaint them (make them hella queer and not all white...). So far my work is fucking ugly lol I've experienced the memory stuff and losing my words during a few very difficult periods in my life. I started seeing like little zaps of light and stuff too. Thought I had gone off the deep end. All of this stuff, at least to me, just means that you are really fucking going through it and you need some intentional supports. It sounds like you have a therapist and a wonderful community surrounding you. Now all you can do is just work on healing and really give yourself the time and space to do so. I know you don't know me but you are always welcome to reach out. I'm an excellent texting buddy and by that, I mean, I will send you pics of all the cute dogs I encounter in the city. Big hugs.
Hey Stephanie! Great video. As for the memory thing, I experienced a traumatic event for a few years. Now that I am out of it, sometimes I have issues articulating words and dealing with complex problems. I started a new job recently and have really noticed these things. I have been told to exercise 20 minutes a day, cardio to get enough oxygen to your brain. Also ensuring I am taking my vitamins and minerals to nourish the brain. I have also been trying to read difficult material and occasionally ask myself what happened over the last few pages. Even with all that, progress doesn’t feel like it’s happening fast enough. That is where grace and meditation come in. Give yourself grace and know that your brain is on a journey of healing alongside you. ❤
i had fuzzy memory and almost physically felt how it deteriorated, difficulties understanding and retaining information, didn't want to read, draw or do any hobby activity, then couldn't do any of them for more than 5 -10 minutes, noticed it was hard to formulate thoughts into speech and my wordings were weird. this was my state during constant stress for years + worsening of depression. people wouldn't believe or try to understand when i told them what was happening to me. on another note, im so happy to see you uploading and being crafty, you really have a creative vision, your works look unique, stylish and really professional. keep it up!
I used to watch you religiously in my early 20s and I stopped a few yrs ago cause life got crazy. I thought about you a few days ago and couldn't remember your name or channel name until this morning. Sooooo happy I found my way back again! Keep inspiring!
Hi Stephanie!!! I’m so late on this video but I have dealt with anxiety and depression for years and was especially heightened while in college. My memory is terrible and I will say - I’m terrible at speaking / finding the right words a lot of the times. It definitely freaked me out but I’m so used to it now. I’m sure reading will help!
Hi Stephanie! I've been a subscriber literally since your blue hair days and I don't think I've ever left a comment before lol - but over the years I've always looked to you for advice, inspiration, makeup tutorials, and you've just been such a comfort watch for me. I admire how you speak about politics, especially existing in this world as a tattooed Asian woman; thank you for making me feel so seen. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your life on here. I recently ended a 5 year relationship because I felt like I was enabling my partner, and he ended up overdosing several days later (after being in a coma thankfully he woke up) but I still blamed myself the entire time he was in the hospital. I felt really lost in deciding to go no-contact as he's in recovery, and one of the first things I did was rewatch your video about Michael's passing. I know that our grief is not the same or even comparable, but I do want to let you know that hearing you talk about your experience - from stress, confusion, memory loss, and healing through creative projects - you've helped me to see a path to try and do the same in my life. Just know that if you're ever feeling alone, my pup and I are always rooting for you and Jo
I'm glad you're doing better and I can't wait to see what kind of content you're going to create. I hope it's the DIY type, but as long as it makes you happy, anything will be fine.
Yeah! Please do a beading video! Also, like everyone else has said, your punch needle work is goals. I’ve been wanting to get into it but I sometimes feel like it looks too folksy for my taste but I love how you shaved it!
I have anxiety and my best friend depression and we both share the effect of memory loss, through therapy for me is connected with past shocking events that led to even the slightest discomfort is being mentally deleted.. who would know that someone can be affected that much is this way!!
Glad to see you are back. Please make a video on how to make the necklace you're wearing. It is so pretty. I saw you're how to make necklaces months ago and started making necklaces myself.
I have been subscribed to you for years and seeing you share your d&d interest and becoming interested in dming makes me rlly happy. You're v creative and you can make an incredible game for ur friends in the table.
