ONe idea that I like for the tins is a mini accordion book. Use the template for the tobbom of the tin. Fold your paper or cardstock, and make sure that the long edges of the template meet the folds. Trace the template and cut out. The last page of the accordion can be glued into the tin. Great for a tiny photo album/scrapbook.
i have an altoids travel watercolour palette with an insert that a chick 3d printed so that you can fill each 1/4 pan yourself, it fits 15 colours, then there's also a removable mixing pallete also 3d printed. she covers the top of each tin with a resin dirty pour so each one is entirely different. you don't know what sort of colours on the cover your will get, and you get to fill with the mix you need. they are incedible!!

Even if you’re a professional, this is a tutorial meant for people to recreate so it’s important to warn people about the dangers of touching uncured epoxy resin with any part of your skin until its uv-cured.

I love shabby chic and French country for intimate rooms…bedrooms, non-guest bathrooms..these would be adorable to use to organize tweezers, nail clippers…or on your nightstand for charger cords…. I like your blank tins, but would love to see some ideas using actual Altoid tins. I really try to reuse, repurpose or recycle and save tins and would like to see how to deal with the tops of the tins.

I have looked at several videos that showed many designs. 😊 I have a few altoid tins but it's much cheaper just to buy a pack of these tins online. So there is no shame in buying them online especially if you don't want the mints from the Altoids tin. You will actually save more money buying them in bulk empty than buying them full of mints if you want to make 5-20 of these. Thank you again for the inspiration. Hiya, new viewer here...enjoying your show. A hack for ugly elastic that I used in my days as a bellydancer (for zil elastic, and other costume bits) was to paint it. I used acrylics, and was careful to just lightly sponge the surface of the elastic, and not saturate it, so it doesn't destroy the elasticity. Cheers!😊

Don't get me wrong I love these little deco tins, but the entire original purpose of them is literally to make use of something you already had/that had been used that would have ended up in a landfill after the fact anyways (i.e. using tins of mints that were still perfectly usable once the mints are gone. Plus these mint tins were cheap and abundant so there was an access of trashed ones that could be utilized for free) I don't think people should be rude and disrespectful about it, full stop. Although everyone purposefully pretending like buying up a bunch of new materials and tins doesn't completely defeat the purpose is a little odd. Like you don't have to be personally guzzling altoids (buying up altoids just for this would also defeat the purpose) but there is a point to what they were saying. All that being said I'm glad you enjoy making them: I hope they go to people who will love, appreciate, and use them frequently.

I don't think people should be rude and disrespectful about it, full stop. Although everyone purposefully pretending like buying up a bunch of new materials and tins doesn't completely defeat the purpose is a little odd.
Like you don't have to be personally guzzling altoids (buying up altoids just for this would also defeat the purpose) but there is a point to what they were saying.
All that being said I'm glad you enjoy making them: I hope they go to people who will love, appreciate, and use them frequently.
