I have agonized over this very question. My wife, Stephanie, died 5 years ago on 2/15/23. We were married 16 years, and I was her caregiver the last 4 years of her life. When Stephanie died of ALS I was holding her hand. I share this woman's pain. This video has eased my pain. Lord, I believe I will spend eternity with her and it will be amazing, but help my unbelief here on earth. Please help everyone who has also been fearful about this too. In Jrsus' Name, amen.
Jesus took me to heaven 27 yrs ago,3 months after i was saved,i was stillme but like Jesus ,our being in heaven is soooooooooooooo much higher in heaven and nothing like down here ,you will be in such a marvellous state of happiness and so elevated you wouldnt care ,but from what i have read you continue your relationships there !Bless
Aaron: Five years ago, I lost my beautiful wife to this deplorable ALS disease. I also was her caretaker. She was as close to perfection I've ever known in my 75+ years of my life. Not once did she state or question why this happen to her. She was so brave and accepted it. I adored & loved her more than life, just short of worship. I have survived war, cancer, loss of parents, a brother numerous career downsizings, and other traumatic experiences, but none come close to the loss of my beloved wife of 35+ years. I am not a religious person, no longer angry or even lonely, but I am extremely grateful for the years she and I had together. My heart goes out to you for your loss.
Your husband is at the front of your crowd of witnesses cheering for you. He joyously awaits you on the other side of the veil. Your love is absolutely intact. It will continue on throughout eternity. Love is the greatest of these.
Marridge is earthly...the bible says there will be no marridge...but couples that are married will have a friendship but there is no making love in the kingdom...it is frobidden...them emotions will not be needed...and thats how it is going to be😊
@shereekendall1003 where on earth did you see that making love would be "forbidden" in heaven??? Not only it won't be forbidden but it will be a million times better than here on earth. Our souls will make love. (They will merge together) we will be able to make our soul mate feel the love we have for them in a way we were never able to do here on earth. It will be heaven!
I have been afraid of this since my beloved died just over one month ago. I miss his love, devotion, understanding and infinite help. I haven’t figured out how to live without him. I pray God will show me the way. Please pray for this lost wife.
😢 My beautiful fiancee died April 20th 2023 after a long Battle with kidney failure. I prayed to God with her and she had tears going down her cheeks that we'd be married in the eyes of God since she was too sick to go out and get married. She was the one and I was the one we are for each other. Now I just want to be with her in Heaven because the disease robbed us of total Joy together. She got saved last year thank God she was so relieved to know Jesus and I just want to be with her in Heaven that's all I long for. ❤
My husband went to heaven exactly last month and I long for heaven too. I feel your pain. But I know I can't leave, that's not my call, so I hold on to Jesus to pacify the hollowing pain in my heart, and yearning in my soul. And I'm so thankful for He does give peace.
When my wife went to be with Lord Jesus it was like being physically ripped in half and not being allowed to die. Our daughter has a grandbaby after my sweet wife passed away then she did not get to meet here on Earth. I get to help take care of her a couple of days a week. With my age and health it is exhausting but I love it so! I thank the Lord that he is giving me such a blessing. She is only two but I am teaching her to sing Jesus loves me. Papa
I have an idea of what Pastor John was trying to say but he still didn’t have an answer not really. I spent 52 years 3months with my husband, I have spent 5 years 6 months without him. The thought that we will never have that close relationship to continue nags at me all the time. He was such a huge part of my life and now 1/2 of me is gone. Why am I still here without him and why is there no assure you will always be together. In our early years I didn’t give a lot of thought to us not being together in heaven as a matter of fact I thought we would always be together until just about a year before he died. Then I was so hurt we would not be at least the best of friends in the next life. I understand there is no need for physical love but that was OK. It’s the closeness not being there that hurts so much, I really don’t like to think about it and just try to hope things will be so different from what I think they will be. Lord please let me understand, give me wisdom to be able to separate the human aspects of life from the spiritual.
My darling husband. Passed 5 years ago and I still have the same questions. The lady has. We were married 57 years and he was/still is my best friend!!! I just seem to feel his presence along with the sweet memories we shared together. This was a wonderful episode. Thanks for giving this to us to bolster our faith in our wonderful GOD!!!!!Bonnie/mother of 3 and now is 82 years old and waiting for my call from God to join my dear Dan……
I have felt her grieving heart after my husband of 25yrs suddenly passed away, when our youngest was 12yrs old. I remarried but never knew again the deep love he & I had. Only my relationship with Jesus was more intimate. Nothing can come close to the love I have for my Savior, who is everything to me. God bless you.
These questions have been the exact ones with which I've struggled and wept about since my husband's death 17 months ago. We were together 54 1/2 years, and it has crushed me emotionally to think perhaps I won't be anyone special to him in the next life. This podcast gives me hope. I know God's plan is perfect, but I have struggled for my faith to embrace that on this topic. My husband, too, was a minister, and I know I am a better person for having been blessed by his infinite love and wisdom through the years. He was the epitome of love, kindness, compassion, humility and forgiveness. I miss him so very much.😢❤😢
It would not be Heaven without my wife who is my best friend, my one true love, and my soulmate. My love for her did not vanish when she passed and I look forward to finding her again someday.
@Joshua Suh Acts 2:38: “And Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:38 proves that salvation requires baptism with water. New covenant salvation includes baptism with the Holy Spirit. Baptism with the Holy Spirit began on Pentecost. Therefore the new covenant began on Pentecost. The Penitent Thief was saved before Pentecost. Therefore the Penitent Thief was saved before the new covenant began. Therefore the Penitent Thief’s salvation didn’t require baptism with water.
@@ChristianJune32002 These kinds of questions make me angry. God can save who he wants to save. The thief on the cross was saved in an instant, and he clearly wasn't baptized. You are looking too far into things. You are getting lost in the fine print. Scripture is not meant to be read this way. Scripture points SOLELY AND WHOLLY to God himself, and his power. Anything else is religion. Don't cherry pick verses to say what you want to say. Acts 2 is right after the priests realized they killed the son of God and they asked what they should do. It's not a verse saying that baptism is required for salvation. Nowhere in scripture does it say that baptism is a requirement for salvation. The thief wasn't baptized. Rahab certainly wasn't baptized. Abraham wasn't baptized. Moses wasn't baptized. Joseph wasn't baptized. Yet all of them were saved. Do you know why they were saved? Because of their FAITH. They believed whole heartedly that God would save them, and because of this they held nothing back. And they acted on it. So many protestants today think they are saved because they said a prayer when they were 7 and got baptized at 13. That has NOTHING to do with whether you are going to heaven or not. Salvation is entirely a matter of faith and surrender. Do you think God is, on the last day, going to say to someone in the middle east who had great faith and trust in him even unto death, "Well dang, I really appreciate you putting your trust in me, but unfortunately you didn't say the sinners prayer and get dunked in water, so off to eternal hellfire you go! You should have been born in America." That's an entirely false construction of the character of God. The only people in hell are ones who want to be there. God himself could burst open the door to hell and the people would run to shut it on his face. The sinners prayer is nowhere in the bible, neither is the whole "ask Jesus into your heart" kind of thing. Western Christianity is so dead and comfortable. I grew up southern Baptist and came to my senses and left the church. I went on a very personal journey with my God. I wasn't going to let anyone else tell me who he is, especially when he was screaming it to me in my life circumstances and in my spirit. And after I made that decision, my faith grew. Exponentially. I will now never go back because I have seen God actually work in my life, and I rely on him every single day. I don't just acknowledge him on Sundays. He is my God of everyday.
Are you not guilty of same that you accuse or describe Benjamin. The need to be baptized and renewed happens when the person is deeply aware of the doctrines of Bible and he/ she is prompted by Holy Spirit .it is a free will obedience and submission
@@cadenorris4009 Your detailed reply makes sense to me. I’m a reborn Christian for about 18 months. I regularly attend a small local Christian Fellowship Church. I was chatting to an elder of the Church only recently and he said that I MUST be baptised - more or less not negotiable and clearly stated in the Bible. I’d speculate that there is quite a bit of confusion out there on this issue. I’ve taken no action yet.
She put this exactly as I would have if I had her oratory skills. I’ve been married 40 years this past April 2nd. I will have been with her 44 years this coming May 17th. No one but her by the time I was 15 and having graduated in 3 years, I was married 22 days before I turned 19. God made a way for us to be together and I have to believe we will be the best of friends even if there is neither man nor wife in heaven. He knows we loved one another yet I can get fearful over my health issues. Not my will Father but yours be done but you know I will always will love you and her regardless of the situation. Praise God! Of course we’ll know each other. What a Great God we serve!
During a near death experience I had in 2006, I was met by my first serious girl friend. She conducted me around what was a new earth, and there I met my parents and many old friends long since dead. Everyone of them were healthy and enjoying themselves. My parents who looked like they were in their early 40's encouraged me to continue with my former girlfriend. She, by the way, was the most pure of heart person I ever knew, and the feeling between us was that of a most beloved brother and sister. We sat down by a beautiful river and just talked. All of a sudden, I woke up, and I hated it so bad. I never forgot that dream, and I figured out what it meant. As the Bible says, "You shall be known as you are known." Later that year after an extensive stress test , my cardiologist told me I had recently had a heart attack. I knew when it happened and he agreed.
Thank you, your story is very comforting. My daughter had a vision of her dad shortly after he died at home very suddenly and unexpectedly. He was reassuring her and was glowing with health and happiness. She said he appeared to be in his early thirties and she is certain that she witnessed his restored heavenly body.

My husband of 51 years died suddenly on June 29, 2023, Im so afraid he won’t be excited to see me. I’m afraid he will feel Neutral like we were associates instead of us two who became one. I cry day and night, I miss him so much and I too wonder why God created us human beings to love each other especially married individuals so much then not be husband and wife in heaven. I don’t question God about his death but rather worry that he won’t recognize me as someone he loves. The grief and sorrow i feel daily is so devastating I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. I feel as if cant move forward, without my husband. I ask Jesus to help me daily, I trust God to take me through this period of grief and sorrow, but so far the pain has not eased up enough for me to accept the fact that he is gone and not coming back. I think of him constantly.
According to what Paul taught the church at Rome, a man ceases to be a woman's husband the moment he dies. ✴ _2 For instance, a married woman is bound by law to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is released from the law of marriage. 3 So then, if she is joined to another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law and is not an adulteress, even if she marries another man_ (Romans 7: 2-3; BSB)
The grief is so palpable it feels like it will never end. BUT, it does get easier to bear, and time is a great ointment for the heart. My husband has been gone 14 years and I still find myself expecting him to walk through the door at the end of the work day. My advice is for you to allow yourself to grieve and work through your fears for the first year. Some people don't understand and want you to rush through the stages of grief. Don't pay them any attention. Your grief belongs to you. You will let go of it when you are able. Then wash your face, put on some lipstick and hoop earings, comb your hair, take a deep breath, and start your new life. It's very hard at first, but if you try very diligently it can make a difference. Most of all, is the passing of time. Know that time keeps on whether you want it to or not. The birds still sing. The seasons come and go. And before long another year has passed. After my first year, I picked up and moved 400 miles to where my children had all settled. It was the best thing, I could have done, FOR ME. I'm not saying it's for everyone, but it was very good for me. I don't advise doing anything like that for at least a year. But I found that a change in environment was just what I needed, and I love the area where I moved. I bought a home. I now have grandchildren I can see often and it helped to meet new people who didn't know me or my past unless I told them. I'm still single but that's the way I want it. May your life become happier and brighter and remember that life passes quickly and to enjoy each day as it comes.
This was a deeply touching response, thank you Pastor John. My heart truly goes out to this woman as I can’t imagine what she’s going through. I pray that Gods glory can shine through her life and through all of the pain she must be going through.
@@johnlukenance8977 Acts 2:38: “Peter replied, ‘All of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then your sins will be forgiven. You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’” Acts 2:38 shows that salvation requires baptism with water.
@@ChristianJune32002 No salvation does not require water baptism and that verse is not teaching salvation from hell. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 King James Version 15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Now unless you want to call God a liar, the Gospel for our salvation today is very clear and does not include water baptism.
When my husband was facing his death knowing it was soon to come I told him of my love and my daughters love was great but our combined love was no way near the love God had for him. And he would soon feel God's full love. ❤
There're no gods. They're all made up in man's image... by "men" in the Dark Ages. There have been thousands of 'em. Some had names; this one doesn't. He's just called "god". I guess they ran out of names. Read some world history.
My heart is with this woman of God and Sister in Christ. I pray that the Lord strengthens you and wraps you in His Tender, Peaceful Embrace. I can only imagine the pain you seem to be experiencing now. Every day I struggle with the idea of losing my wife it's a heart-breaker. Thank you Pastor John
My husband died suddenly 12 years ago leaving me a young widow with 3 children,I have asked myself all these questions before and still miss his presence every day but your video has just made so much clearer. Thank you and god bless 🙏🏻
Abraham saw his day coming and greatly rejoiced. There is celebration in heaven when a sinner converts. Precious is the death of the just in the sight of the Lord. I lost my baby boy, 9 months old, died in my arms in 2021. I firmly believe, we will celebrate each other and even more celebrate our Christ in the age to come. Thanks for this video, Pastor John. Blessings to our widow sister and Peace from above be upon her.
My heart goes out to this woman,I can identify.I to post my husband a couple years ago.He passed away of liver cancer. We didn't even know he had it until stage 4 of which was to late for treatments. We had a great marriage and involved in a traveling ministry.
It’s like this man was speaking to me. It will be 30 years on July 4th that you are gone now Ron. As I told you before you died, as I was advised by a I chaplain to let you know it was ok to go, you took a “little girl & turned her into a woman”. It was ok. You could let go. My wife of nearly 40 years, over 42 years together, passed 3 weeks ago today. I just wanted to say thank you to this grieving spouse for sharing your story/grief and thank you all for putting this podcast out. As devastating as my loss has been, i'm dumbfounded as to why nobody ever discussed this with us prior to her passing. Years of church services together, married Christian couples groups, many Christian marriage conferences and our own personal bible studies and we just never approached this. My wife's passing was over a long period (8 1/2 year with a brain tumor) so I've been grieving for some time, yet this question and the message of this podcast is what has challenged me the most during this period of grieving. Thank you, thank you, this message is truly a gift from God!
Thank you, I find this teaching so comforting and assuring. I've lose my husband 11 months ago. He confessed and repented his sins and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour a few days before he died. His anniversary is approaching and I have been crying to the Lord to help me bear this separation till we meet again.
These verse comforts me in my sadness here on this earth 1 Corinthians 2:9 No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has made ready for those who love Him Romans 8:18 I dont think the sufferings we are ging through now are even worth comparing with the glory that will be made known to us in the future Revelations 21:1-5 Then I saw a new Heaven and and a new earth, for the first Heaven and earth has passed away, and the sea was no more 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband 3 And I heard a loud voice from the Throne saying: Behold the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God He will wipe away every tear from their eyes and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away 5 And the One seated on the Throne said Behold I make all things new I recommend reading the whole chapter I hope these help you like they helped me Stay strong your sister in Christ
My beloved husband passed one month ago. We had just celebrated 7 beautiful years 💍 a week prior. I share this woman’s pain, questions, and strong faith. I thank God for sending me this video, He knew I needed to hear it. Thank you both for answering with such love & Godly wisdom♥️ Our love ones will be waiting for us , we will know each other, and it’s going to be more magnificent than we could ever comprehend in these limited bodies. Hold on to His Promise ✝️ The Appetizer before the Feast 🍞🍇🍷✨
In the story in Luke of the rich man & Lazarus, they knew exactly who they had been in life- both in hell & in heaven. When Moses & Elijah appeared with Jesus at the Mt. of Transfiguration the disciples recognized both! King David looked forward to his reunion with his baby who died, too. Those who have seen glimpses of heaven have recognized loved ones. My husband and I served God together, our relationship was not merely of flesh, but very much spiritual too. We made the journey through this life together serving Him, and I I am completely confident that once I follow him into eternity, we will bow together at the throne of Jesus, & thank Him for His grace in bringing us home together at last!
I needed to hear this. My husband died suddenly of a brain aneurysm about 10 years ago. My children were young adults. He was a wonderful husband and father. I often wonder why this had to happen, but by the grace of God, I am okay now. 🎺
My dad passed away in 96 and he came back to me in a recurring dream where he was much younger we sat and talked and he cried to me you see my sister and my mom took everything I received no thing my dad had life insurance for both his kids I was the kid that got nothing I just hope my sister and mom pay for their evilness.
I believe that according to the Bible, we are the bride of Christ at our reunion with Him and our loving relationships on earth become brothers and sisters in Christ in our death. I lost my husband in 12/2021 and I miss him dearly and want to see him NOW. I think, though that love is a agape love in everlasting life and is going to be even better than the love we experience here on earth. We want Heaven to be very similar to our good times on earth, but perhaps it's even better.
This moved me to tears…I also lost my husband 1 yr ago…and feel the same as this woman…I miss my husband so much…for the past 31 yrs he was my best friend my everything…I’m now accepting the fact he’s gone and trusting God for everything…
Bless your heart and my wife just passed in march 2023 not a day goes by and I don't think about her. I never in a million years wanted this to happen to her or knowone else bless you
@Billy Sanders And I will do the same for u...if I can be honest...time should heal the way we feel...but I don't think that is true...we just learn to live with the pain...I still have my days...I find my comfort in the word of God...life is so short and tomorrow is promised to no one...God bless❤
I actually have questioned the same thing too. Only I haven't lost a husband, I'm just waiting for him, wherever he is. I haven't quite met my future husband, only dreamed of him. But I've asked God if I will still be best friends with him in Heaven because I've been waiting soo long for him here on earth and I really want to be his best friend up there. Along with my dad and sister who's already up there. I hope to have many best friends. But esp with my husband.
I think there’s still romantic relationships in Heaven, but there just won’t be marriage.. I think those who don’t find the right person here will find them in Heaven.
I was married to a godly woman for 15 years . She was a worship leader and I was a pastor for 3 years together. Then I developed colorectal cancer and had to step down. I was cured by God's grace and medical science . Sadly just a few years later she developed the exact same cancer and she already had kidney and though we trusted God and she fought bravely I lost her in October 2014. I grieved miserably for over two year but one day God delivered me from my tears As I visited her grave. It was crazy but I went home laughing having seen a vision of her before God playing a golden guitar before the Lord! When I arrived home the Holy Spirit said 4 words YOUR GRIEF IS OVER! A few short months later I had a dream of a much younger blonde woman who fell in love with me and it was so real that I cried when I woke up . A short time later I met that very woman, a godly lady, and we fell in love quickly and have now been married for six years! I know that in the ressurection I shall be married to neither yet they both have been used of God mightily in this short earthly life!
We don't know exactly what awaits us after death, but we can trust God that one way or another we will feel fantastic forever. There will be no sadness or sense of missing anything. In some ways we won't see things the way we see them now on earth.
Why is everyone speaking about "life after death", when the Bible clearly says that people will be resurrected and live eternally on a new / renewed Earth?
@@Aion0154 Well, unless we are alive when Jesus returns, we will die, and then we will experience life after that time, firstly in heaven and then after the resurrection on the new earth. So it will be life after death.

When David lost his first child with Bathsheba he said he would come to him but that David would go to him. I believe there will be a uniting! What a day that will be!
I felt driven to give this information. Concerning marriage in heaven. A man and a woman that had a successful marriage on earth say 30, 40 50 years+ won't need to be married in heaven because they are sole mates for eternity. They had a successful marriage because they stayed together till one died. Heaven is a happy place and if you and the love of your live was there and just be friends, it would not be a happy place. You will be together in heaven with each other for eternity. God has put this on my Heart.
I'm so sorry for your loss, thank you for sharing your story. I have also been blessed with a beautiful husband and often wondered the same questions.I will Pray for your comfort as I can only imagine what a difficult transition it must be. God be with you.

In “A Grief Observed” by C.S. Lewis-which I STRONGLY recommend anyone to read if they’re listening to this video due to experiencing the loss of a loved one-he says something along the lines of… I realized that God did NOT take her away from me as a means to end our marriage, but He showed me over time that death is still part of our marriage. I needed to experience her temporary loss which feels so long in order to fully mature in my experience of what and who love is. This is not a cutting away from marriage but rather the next step into it.
I was given a copy of A GRIEF OBSERVED recently and highly recommend it to everbody as it is so helpful for the grieving as well as those who will experience such grief as time passes. I could not have conceived the utter loss that envelopes the surviving spouse but one must go first tho we wished to go together. Death brings reality so be prepared.

What a beautiful explanation to such a beautiful question. I have often wondered these things and even more so now since i recently lost my beloved husband of 37 years. Thank you!
Exactly same story and experience here, my wife died on 2nd of december 2015. She had ALS, and I was her caregiver in four years. Greetings from Norway.
Greetings to you also from Michigan. My great grandparents came from Norway and settled in Bismarck North Dakota. That's where my grandpa was raised. Very Christian folks!! 🙂👍👍♥️♥️
This is so deep and valid questions, and simbering thoughts. In theglory of heaven, in sure we we wont have that need for "human relationships" that emotionally and spiritually need will be fulfilled in heaven. Its painful to think about but beautiful at the same time. I've been thinking about this a lot lately...
@@Aion0154 Quoting the Book of Enoch? That is a false book. Enoch was mentioned in the Bible, but the Book of Enoch is heretical. When you learn to appreciate the truth, you won't be upset that there won't be sexual intercourse and childbearing in heaven. What is with false teachers and false believers teaching that there is sexual intercourse in heaven?
Heaven is about relationships first of all. Our relationship with God and the Lord Jesus will be more intimate and intense. Our relationships with other believers, most of whom we have not known during out earthly life will be deep and joyful. Our relationships with those God has put into our lives will have the additional intimacy of a shared journey in this life. The most significant relationship for many of us is with the man or woman who has shared life with us. This will continue in the new world to come. He or she will not be lost in the crowd or forgotten. We will not be forgotten. Instead, there will be rejoicing unspeakable for the grace of God that put us together. Our love will continue and be purified by the absence of sin and selfishness. And we will have eternity to enjoy it.
I believe that the person you love the most before you died will be the first person you meet in heaven outside of Jesus Christ our lord. He will take your hand, and ask if you want to see them. They will appear before you. They will look even more beautiful than they ever have been. As you embrace for a hug, warm, and cozy, they tell you how much theyve missed you, and cant believe you are with them again. I beleive thats what will happen. And i havent even lost a wife. I just know.
The love between me and my husband. Was not just physical is was spiritual... A Bond that will never be broken.. Love lasts till the end of time. . Lust is just a moment in time .
Absolutely. That is what some people do not seem to understand. The kind of love you talk about is a "soul mate" love. it is spiritual and will continue for eternity in heaven.
WOW! WOW! WOW! This was so EXQUISITELY WRAPPED together! I will be listening to this over and over!!!! 😭😭😭😭💞💞💞💞 Such an on time answer, I needed desperately to hear this. GOD BLESS
*"...he is still and forever will be my husband...."* Not according to the Bible, Carla. He ceased to be your husband the moment he died.
My husband's been dead for 4 months, and I know he's with me, l pray for him , and ask not to leave me ,to stay with me all the time. I love him with all my heart.
We have been married for 57 years, we were always together, before he died I told him I will always be with you I will never leave you, he told me I know you will never leave me, always love you, I will always be with you.
I have struggled with finding answers to these exact questions for more than 20 months. I've grown irritated that clergy was unable to assist me with finding answers to these questions until I heard this episode, seemingly out of the blue tonight. Thank you for this valuable information. I truly needed this and will save it so I can refer to it as I need to.❤
God knows & grants us the desires of our heart & when 1 child of God desires to be close friends with their saved departed spouse. We will know & enjoy the friendship, companionship of our saved loved ones.
@@IsaacNussbaum Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart It's not that God exists to give us what we want but rather he is so merciful and generous he's willing to fulfill the righteous desires of our hearts
@@somestranger9170 *"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* I think, deep down, you know that poetic language does mean what you are trying to make it mean. All over the world there are godly men and women who are not getting the desires of their hearts fulfilled. A mother with a wild, rebellious son; a husband with a cheating wife; etc., etc. I concentrate on being faithful to God and let Him decide what is best for me. A driver totaled my car not long ago. The first words out of my mouth were, "Thank you, Father." A wrecked car was not the desire of my heart but it was the desire of His heart and that was good enough for me.
@@IsaacNussbaum Of course we should be concentrating on God first, that should only further our love for him when He promises and eventually does the things He said He'd do, which includes fulfilling the good desires He Himself put in our hearts and souls, may it be in this life or the next. I'm glad to hear you're okay and in good spirits even with such a nuisance of a wrecked car. I wish you luck on your journey with the Lord friend.
Thank you so much for answering this question. My husband of 30 years passed away 7 months ago and I have had the exact same question. While I know my citizenship is in heaven and this world is only temporary my greatest desire is to be united with my husband - as friends or whatever.
This message resonates to me so much even I’m not married or not even been in a relationship.. the Holy Spirit lead me to view myself in her case but in different perspective. Glory be to God for He knows I need this message today. thank you Lord. 💙
Your spouse will not be your "friend" in heaven. He/she will be your soul mate for eternity. The fact that God is our first love, doesn't mean that we won't have relationships in heaven. Just like here on earth God is, or should be our first and greatest love, but that doesn't mean that we do not have a God given special and eternal relationship with our soul mate. It as nothing to do with being "married" or not. In heaven families and soul mates will be reunited (also with friends) but this time for eternity, in God's eternal kingdom of love, where He'll be the king of love.
God created us, isn’t it enough to know He knows what we need. Let His Will be done! If you speak of Love you speak of God. That’s good enough for me! AMEN! 🙏❤️🙏
Kathy, thank you for your reply. I have learned that my "brokenness," the hurts and insecurities of my life and myself, tempts me to doubt the truth of God's word. Objectively I agree with God, but practically in the moments of my life, it is challenging not to give in to my fears sometimes. I am learning how to take my thoughts captive (2 Cor. 10:5).
The bigger questions is are you willing to trust God when he says the "things of this present world will pass away nor come into mind?" Leaving this sin cursed world, going in the presence of Christ as a friend, seeing him in his glory, being in the presence of the heavenly hosts, and God's elect, far, far outweighs any human relationship of this present existance. So I ask again, are you willing to trust that promise from eternal God? I realize it's not easy . That's why we must focus on the promise, not the loss.
The Bible says that Creation will be restored to their edenic glory, not that we will leave the Earth and go to some otherworldly heaven. There are also hints in the Bible that, if not sexual, at least family relationships will continue in eternity (eg. 2 Maccabees 7, parable of Lazarus and the Rich Man etc.).
@@Aion0154 @Bolek Oh well. What can I say. Apparently nothing. You're referring to a book that isn't a part of the holy Bible so already there is no credibility there. In Genesis, God cursed this earth. What would make anyone believe he's coming back here to reign when he clearly says he's created a NEW heaven and a NEW earth? That boggles my mind. I have friends that believe that too. Well, we're from 2 different worlds as you trust that that book (Maccabees)is inspired by God in addition to the 66 books that are already there. I don't. To trust anything more than the 66 books already in the bible makes one guilty of Rev 22:19.
Hey Benjamin! Actually no! Water baptism is a new testament sign put on "believers" that only suggests that we are of the family of God. Doesn't guarantee anything although many people unfortunately disagree. It's a "work." A good work, but a work nevertheless, and works can never, ever save anyone.
I answer that question with another question, “In your heart, does it seem right for your marriage to have an expiration date?” I would venture to say, no. Why would a true and just God allow you to bond, “become one flesh” with your spouse the way that you did, only to say it is not so in the afterlife? I say to you that your spouse can continue to be your spouse for eternity. God wants to bless our marriage, not constrict and condemn it. Refer to Matt:18:18 and Matt:19:3-8. As discussed in this section of the podcast, our reward in Heaven will be beyond our comprehension. What a beautiful thought! Why would the relationship we have established with our family members be less than what we were blessed with here on earth? Why does the natural man believe in placing mortal restrictions on eternal principles. Families CAN be forever!
Remember heaven is not earth! Your thoughts are earthly. Heaven is different. And you won't remember the things done on earth! Your thoughts and actions will be worshipping Christ like everybody. You will reconize people, cause the bible says Lazerus reconized the rich man. But it says Lazerus was in Abrahams bosom. So he was in paradise. Remember the only thing you do in paradise is enjoy! We don't understand that because all humans are fallen, we live in a fallen world. But in heaven we' have heavenly thoughts. And not fallen thoughts!
My husband passed away in April this year. I feel like half a person like this woman did. We were best friends as well as husband and wife. We were married almost 39 years. I am having a hard time without him. I know he is at peace with our Lord but miss him terribly
Even though there is no marriage in Heaven, when we get there our Love for each other will even me more intense and Wonderful in Heaven than it was on Earth. GOD will see that we will be reunited when we are both in Heaven!
I am that person who had a husband that gave me unconditional love that I never had before even with my own parents. Married 30 years. Love of my life. My best friend. Hope I can see my husband in heaven. It's been a hard 8 years without him. He was perfect for me. But no more...
I was married for 57 years, he had just retired for years ago, My husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in May, he died 6 months late ,and later, we were inseparable, I feel lost without him, but I know he's with me, I pray everyday for him, in God I trust and hope, One of these days I would get to see him, I loved him with all my heart and continue to love him forever, God please help me. He was bed fest for maybe two days. Is less words were I love you, take care of yourself. 2 weeks later, after he died, he came to me and told me I'm all right I'm okay I love you ,take care.
Reading all these comments makes me realize that i am not the only one hurting. Some people want to comfort me in saying you will see him in heaven. God has revealed me in dreams how happy he is with a radiant smile. But the one i want to see is GOD. For He is the King of all honors. Then the Lord will guide to him for he is an angel.
My husband and I had such a beautiful oive for each other .I could always feel HIS love for me . I so hope he always felt my love for him. We,were married for 43 happy years. I loved, LOVED him so much. He died of cancer 5 years ago. I cannot move on with my life. I cannot just walk away from 43 years of happiness. Now I AM so empty inside He isn't here to tell me he loves me , I cannot hug and tell how much I miss and love him . I cannot stop crying . I have cried every single day for the LAST five years. I need him so much. I miss his beautiful face, his kindness and his thoughtfulness. I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO GO ON WITHOUT HIM. I OFTEN THINK ABOUT TAKING MY LIFE. THERE REALLY IS NOTHING IN LIFE THAT COULD REPLACE HIS LOVE, NOTHING.
I have exactly the same situation my husband was my everything my life is very empty and I cry every time what I long to be with him he was the best friend husband and dad I pray I be with him soon In Jesus Christ Mighty Name , no body can replace my husband he was my life’s dream
I'm kinda in the same boat with one huge difference. My wife of 31 years did not die, she left me and divorced me. I will NEVER forget July 27, 2022. That's when I was served the divorce papers. The absolute worst day of my life, so far, was September 9, 2022. That's when the judge signed the divorce papers. Been in a perpetual state of depression, heart ache and sorrow ever since. I hope we are reunited in heaven as I miss her every damned day.
bro I know how it feels, but you need to forget her. She left you... she destroyed your marriage. In heaven the only thing that's going to matter is our worshiping the Lord God Almighty and basking in His eternal presence. Our relationships back on Earth won't even be a thought in our minds.
You WILL. pray and trust God. Maybe she has certain lessons to learn before she can be reunited with you. But if she's your soul mate, you will be reunited. Even if you have to wait for heaven for this.
I do not believe that. We will meet and be reunited with our loved ones in heaven. The fact that God will be our first love doesn't mean that we will not be with our soul mates in heaven. The two go together. Just like here on this earth.
Beautiful response! Thank you! Regarding marriage in Heaven i think (just my opinion) that when The Word says no marriage in Heaven, that means a new marriage. Not the one with your spouse on Earth.
Then why did God create this world in the first place? Just as a breeding station for people to breed, only to be then transformed into ethereal balls of plasma? What you are saying makes absolutely zero sense.
Luke 20:35-36 but those judged worthy of the age to come, and of the resurrection from the dead, do not get married 36 because they can no longer die being children of the Ressurection, they are like angels; indeed, they are children of God I find this verse comforting 1 John 3:2 Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known We do know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is God bless to all my brothers and sisters in Christ Marana Ta! Our Lord come
I don't know what brought me here. My wife and I will be celebrating 30 years of marriage next year. She is my best friend and neither of us can imagine life without each other. We often say we will be together for eternity. And we will, I know that for a fact! Will we still be married? Not from what the bible tells us, but why would that stop us from being together for eternity? I believe the love we shared here on Earth, will be multiplied beyond what we could possibly imagine. And when the day comes, when one of us is taken home, we will remember we had a great life and shared a love that was quite rare from what we have seen. We have been so blessed and I am so thankful God brought us together.

Totally agree with you. They will be reunited in heaven as "soul mates" and their love will go on for eternity.

Does being saved require being baptized with water?
You should have been born in America."
That's an entirely false construction of the character of God.

Your detailed reply makes sense to me.
Thank you. This is encouraging to me and thank you for the Scripture verse.
Thank you, your story is very comforting. My daughter had a vision of her dad shortly after he died at home very suddenly and unexpectedly. He was reassuring her and was glowing with health and happiness. She said he appeared to be in his early thirties and she is certain that she witnessed his restored heavenly body.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you
in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Confess Faith in Jesus
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Be Baptized for the remission of sins
Mark 16:16 He that believeth AND IS BAPTIZED shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. -not before nor without baptism but UPON.
Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto EVEN BAPTISM doth ALSO now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:-James ch 2
works are the evidence of our salvation by the grace of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross. You cannot have faith without works nor salvation without works that prove your faith, otherwise, it’s just lip service and God isnt mocked.
Live Faithfully Unto Death
Revelation 2:10
..be faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life.
Works are the EVIDENCE of our salvation by the grace of Jesus Christ. Clearly if we are to be the New Testament Church of the Bible, this includes baptism in water for the washing away of sins. Everyone who the Lord added to the church was first baptized immediately prior to becoming a Christian.
Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them (the saints/Christians) about three thousand souls.
Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I WILL BUILD MY church [that is, THE Church of Christ] and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Matthew 16:18
Romans 16:16 ..the churches of Christ salute you
We will meet them in the clouds with Jesus Christ
Am sorry for your lost and I bet he's proud of you wherever he is up there
According to what Paul taught the church at Rome, a man ceases to be a woman's husband the moment he dies.
Does being saved require being baptized with water?
No but you should publicly profess your faith through baptism
@@johnlukenance8977 Acts 2:38: “Peter replied, ‘All of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then your sins will be forgiven. You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’” Acts 2:38 shows that salvation requires baptism with water.
Can I ask why you’re asking?
@@ChristianJune32002 No salvation does not require water baptism and that verse is not teaching salvation from hell.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
King James Version
15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Now unless you want to call God a liar, the Gospel for our salvation today is very clear and does not include water baptism.
When my husband was facing his death knowing it was soon to come I told him of my love and my daughters love was great but our combined love was no way near the love God had for him. And he would soon feel God's full love. ❤

It’s like this man was speaking to me. It will be 30 years on July 4th that you are gone now Ron. As I told you before you died, as I was advised by a I chaplain to let you know it was ok to go, you took a “little girl & turned her into a woman”. It was ok. You could let go. What a beautiful message. Wow. That was right on target and well articulated 🎯
A very deep and well thought out question, and a fitting response. Very touching.
Thank you, Pastor Piper. You are a blessing to the body of Christ.

3 And I heard a loud voice from the Throne saying:
Behold the dwelling place of God is with man,
and He will dwell with them
They will be His people,
and God Himself will be with them as their God
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes
and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain,

Amen !
I needed to hear this. My husband died suddenly of a brain aneurysm about 10 years ago. My children were young adults. He was a wonderful husband and father. I often wonder why this had to happen, but by the grace of God, I am okay now. 🎺

Praise God! What a Holy Spirit inspired answer! Glad I clicked on this one. Keep preaching Sir.
Praying for you!
Bless your heart and my wife just passed in march 2023 not a day goes by and I don't think about her. I never in a million years wanted this to happen to her or knowone else bless you
@Billy Sanders
And I will do the same for u...if I can be honest...time should heal the way we feel...but I don't think that is true...we just learn to live with the pain...I still have my days...I find my comfort in the word of God...life is so short and tomorrow is promised to no one...God bless❤
🎉🎉

Absolutely. We will be reunited with our families and our soul mates in heaven.
Just powerful... ❤❤❤❤❤

Does being saved require being baptized with water?

@@ChristianJune32002 I think baptism is an outward sign, or symbol, of what's happened inside.❤
I SO understand her feelings....I lost my wife 1 year ago...
Very well said, Kathy! Bless you and all here.❤
The bigger questions is are you willing to trust God when he says the "things of this present world will pass away nor come into mind?" Leaving this sin cursed world, going in the presence of Christ as a friend, seeing him in his glory, being in the presence of the heavenly hosts, and God's elect, far, far outweighs any human relationship of this present existance.
Does being saved require being baptized with water?
Hey Benjamin! Actually no! Water baptism is a new testament sign put on "believers" that only suggests that we are of the family of God. Doesn't guarantee anything although many people unfortunately disagree. It's a "work." A good work, but a work nevertheless, and works can never, ever save anyone.
@@victorcroker2765 Acts 2:38 proves that salvation requires baptism with water. Colossians 2:12 proves that baptism with water is a working of God.
Thank you for this video. I have been married to my God sent husband Larry for going on 40 years.i needed this.
Such an informative interesting story. It answered many questions I had on this subject. I have been widowed sixteen in August.❤
I have been a widow for 15 yrs. It still hurts and I still love him dearly.
Lovely response!
@@danielwebb7454 i will have to respectfully disagree. I know that my remarks are FAR from “earthly”.
Thank you.
Absolutely! Families are eternal.
And soul mates will go on loving each other for eternity. There will be more of that, not less.
My husband passed away in April this year. I feel like half a person like this woman did. We were best friends as well as husband and wife. We were married almost 39 years. I am having a hard time without him. I know he is at peace with our Lord but miss him terribly
You will be reunited with him. He's waiting for you in heaven.
Even though there is no marriage in Heaven, when we get there our Love for each other will even me more intense and Wonderful in Heaven than it was on Earth.
GOD will see that we will be reunited when we are both in Heaven!
What a delightful biblical response Pastor John provided to the questions posed. Thank you.
Time is what we want most, but what we use worst. -William Penn
Now I AM so empty inside
He isn't here to tell me he loves me , I cannot hug and tell how much I miss and love him .
I cannot stop crying .
I have cried every single day for the LAST five years.
I need him so much.
I miss his beautiful face, his kindness and his thoughtfulness.
I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO
GO ON WITHOUT HIM.
I OFTEN THINK ABOUT
TAKING MY LIFE.
THERE REALLY IS NOTHING IN LIFE THAT
COULD REPLACE HIS LOVE, NOTHING.
Please hang in there. Praying for you...
☹️☹️☹️☹️🙏🙏
bro I know how it feels, but you need to forget her.
Please pray for me. From Australia
Just prayed!!!
Me too 👍🏼

DO NOT FEAR
HOLD FAST
EYES ON JESUS
it seems that we will be more active, with Jesus, and all the things, we cherished from this world, will fade away...
Then why did God create this world in the first place? Just as a breeding station for people to breed, only to be then transformed into ethereal balls of plasma? What you are saying makes absolutely zero sense.
❤Me. I pray I get to sit in the fields with all the animals I've ever known, around me. 🙏
I needed these answers to the same questions I’ve struggle with since the passing away of my husband (3/13/2020). Thank You
This is exactly how I feel. Widowed for 19 months now😢
Luke 20:35-36
but those judged worthy of the age to come, and of the resurrection from the dead, do not get married
36 because they can no longer die
being children of the Ressurection, they are like angels;
indeed, they are children of God
I find this verse comforting
1 John 3:2
Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known
We do know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is
God bless to all my brothers and sisters in Christ

Our Lord come
My wife is my soul mate. I expect and pray we will be eternally happy in Paradise.
And you will. Married or not is not the point. You will be reunited with your soul mate in heaven, for eternity.
