Hi Mark, thank you so much mate, you are very kind. I'm chuffed you found my work informative, that's so great to hear. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave this feedback. Stay safe, cheers Phil
Although most of us usually praise the brilliant work done by the photographers & an editor, I'd like to take this opportunity to express my highest admiration & kudos upon this rare, unique narrator w/ that dignified & even majestic tone of a full-throated deep baritone voice. So impressive & effective to enhance a wealth of magnificence, intrigue, & excitement on these docs. that it seems unrivaled & almost incomparable to any others in the whole world!--Have you discerned it that his voice was so low-pitched, unique that it was even resonated or echoed a bit at end of his narration? Holy Smoke! How often could you come across w/ such an ineffably distinguished, rare human voice? ( & I've watched numerous nature docs. since decades ago ). And yet, w/ no qualms at all, this one, Mr. Steve Chamber's voice, stands head & shoulders above the rest like no one else. Or am I the only one who feels sentient of it? Soundly enjoying, admiring, & appreciating it to the core of my soul at the opulent comfort of my residence in California. My heartfelt gratitude for the Australian nature documentary.,,,,(04/23/24)

When people ask me where I live, I will show them this and say, I live here - and it takes my breath away. What a beautiful documentary - thank you for showcasing it so honourably. I truly appreciate this.
I've shared this film countless times on other sites ( I hope the producers don't mind) when people have asked me where I live and I tell them "this is my backyard" for I've lived here for over 40 years and I'm still learning about it and always will. There are other parts of the Blue Mountains not shown in the film which are very local to me and may seem odd to others where you can have bustling suburbia and yet down in the deep valleys it's quiet and tranquil as the world carries on doing it's thing high above you. Tourists don't visit these areas for there are no facilities for tourism but locals know of them and don't want tourism in their special local part of the Blue Mountains National Park.
As a biologist teacher for 35 years I really saw many many documentations - but this was one with the deepest spiritual and soul digging impression what nature holds in store in her mystic ways .
Especially with the clear cut sandstone cliffs of 200-300m in height. I was there in Katoomba in 2009 ... and I can tell you, it is even more beautiful when you're there than behind a screen like right now.
Hi I grew up here ,and it is amazingly beautiful. As a child I lived in Springwood which was surrounded by many pockets of dense rainforest which most houses backed onto. It was a magical place to grow up ,walking down the fire trails with waratah blooming, frogs tortoise ,eggs and bacon bush and so much more. I would have liked to see more about the pockets of rainforest and their creatures rather than the more prevalent bushland, but it was still very nice reminder of my childhood. When I was 10yrs my grandparents forced us to move to the arid south west Queensland, it was so hot and desolate I hated them for it and refused to talk to them at all for about a year and a half. They did it because they said the cold and damp was making their arthritis worse, but unfortunately I've never been able to afford to go back to visit ever in the 50urs since. I still miss it so much thank you for the lovely reminder.
Thanks for sharing your story Tabbi, your childhood memories sound similar to mine, I too grew up in the Lower Blue Mountains (Winmalee) in the 80s before moving to Queensland. So many wonderful memories of those years. I'm glad I could bring some of it back to you. Stay safe, and thanks for watching. Cheers Phil
Yeah same happened to me, my parents decided to moved to Queensland from Orange, it must have been a thing back then for aches and pains and I can’t handle the heat and humidity it is draining on you even in the what was once called winter here, but my family are all here so I have to be content with visiting occasionally.
Brilliant capture of landforms, flora and fauna in this beautiful part of the world. The view of the Grose Valley from Govett's Leap is not as popular with tourists as Echo Point but every bit as remarkable. The Walls of Kanangra can often be seen from planes travelling west out of Sydney.
So awesome of a video to see this wonder of our planet. It was as though I was right there! Thanks so much to all who put this remarkable production together for all to see. Keep these wonders safe and protected!

A wonderfully produced film which offers for me a way to 'virtually' revisit many of these places and to learn more about the flora and fauna found in them. Hopefully, together we can care for these places so many generations to come can also enjoy them.
This is where I was born. My country has a special spiritual effect on me whenever I'm there. It is a great place to walk or explore on a mountain bike. It should be protected; never flooded. It was protected and nurtured for 22,000 years by our indigenous forbears. Thanks for your video. I hope it encourages people to care for and love this wonderful place.

Gotta love the drone technology that allows us to take incredible aerial shots of our planet. It's like rediscovering reality from another dimension again!
I love this video it’s so informative and I appreciate the time and effort that has gone into making it, it makes you realise Australia is unique in every way. I was born in Orange in the 50s and my father drove me to Sydney Royal North Hospital every second weekend and we always stopped in the mountains to have a BBQ on the side of the road with gum leaves to add flavour, then walk around and just breath in the smell of the unique air. My Uncle was a train driver and my Mum and I would get the train to Sydney when my Father couldn’t take me….I would open the window just to breath in the air. We moved to Queensland but I make regular visits home and always by train so I can see and travel through the mountains. I’ve still got a “mountain devil” key chain made out of a tree nut I bought with my pocket money visiting the mountains when I was 6. Of all my travels around the world the Blue Mountains with the mist has always been my favourite place. I’m sad I don’t see it as often now.😢
Well said. As a Western European citizens, I didn't know Australia any better than the "dry barren desert" that you often got to see on tv and read about. As a form of stereotyping. Then, after moving to Sydney in 2008 as a young boy, I was very surprised to see and learn that Australia is in fact very diverse, including having large swathes of land comprised of beautiful landforms like the Blue Mountains. It made me fall in love with Australia even more as a uique landform on planet Earth. Nothing else like it. The Blue Mountains being further proof and its magical, mystical feel.

Abosulutely incredible. I have visited only a small portion of the Blue Mountains and its wonder blew me away. You transported me right back there and gave me the dose of wonder I needed this morning and for that I am in immensely grateful. Oh thank you Aeronwyn, glad you enjoyed seeing some the Blue Mountain's hidden wonders. So much to see there, I could have made the film twice the length 😊 Thanks for watching, stay safe and I hope you return soon. Cheers Phil
I arrived in Sydney June 1970 age 17 and soon had friends who moved into this area and visited on my motorcycle. I have fond memories of visiting them/their property, but having watched this 50 years later, I am stumped at how much I missed. So, so good.
Thanks for sharing your story. I have heard similar stories from people who have lived in the Blue Mountians for years and didn't realise how much more there was to see. Glad i could bring some of these wonders to you. Cheers Phil
Awww thanks mate, you are very kind. I'm happy with how it turned out, having such a beautiful 'canvas' to work with helps 😊. Take care buddy, cheers Phil
Loved growing up in the mountains.Lots of mountainbiking, plenty of canyoning. Camping out in the canyon country and on the massive cliff heads its a fantastic wilderness region....
Thanks for a great, professional video. Actually, it made me feel a bit sad. I recognised many of the places you showed, even camping in Bluegum Forest before National Parks closed it off for its survival. The "pagodas" in the Gardens of Stone National Park are a wonder to behold - having spent some time at Dunns Swamp on the western side of Wollemi National Park. Now at 82 years old, my poor old back won't let me do too much walking or backpacking, and I miss it so much. To view the mountains from the many lookouts is wonderful, but you don't really see the absolute beauty of the wilderness until you get out into it - walking and camping. Thanks again - and, yes, the drone footage is great!
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment David. What you are saying is exactly why I made this little film. There is so much beauty in the Blue Mountains and so much of it lies well beyond the grand panoramas. The day trippers and weekend visitors don't experience the Blue Mountains that you have seen. And seeing how some of them treat the heavily visited spots, maybe that's not such a bad thing. Thanks for watching and sharing your story David, stay safe mate, cheers Phil

Omg what an absolutely spectacular docu/ film. . Thanks . I love the Blueys , you have captured it beautifully . I will continue to do my bit to respect and protect what I can of it . 🦘🇦🇺
Beautiful memories. When I was strong, fit and agile, in the sixties, living in Sydney, I had some great times bushwalking there.
Thanks for watching Gerry, it is indeed a beautiful wilderness. Stay safe mate, cheers Phil
Abosulutely incredible. I have visited only a small portion of the Blue Mountains and its wonder blew me away. You transported me right back there and gave me the dose of wonder I needed this morning and for that I am in immensely grateful. Thank you, That was truly awesome and I can't wait to go back and explore more
Oh thank you Aeronwyn, glad you enjoyed seeing some the Blue Mountain's hidden wonders. So much to see there, I could have made the film twice the length 😊 Thanks for watching, stay safe and I hope you return soon. Cheers Phil

Thank you Jenny, you are very kind, glad you enjoyed watching my doco. Stay safe, cheers Phil
Cheers Phil
Well done! That’s easily the best one you have done. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I really enjoyed that. Just beautiful.
Me too, it was a great place to grow up. Thanks for watching, cheers Phil
Extra. Ordinary... Thanks.
Thank you glad you liked it. Cheers Phil
Amazing film mate, so lucky to have this place as my backyard, another amazing job keep up the great work!
